Hi and hello!
I adore your art style, it’s so distinct and well done. A true pleasure to scroll through!
Would it be terribly rude of me if I asked for you to draw some Hawkeye and Mulcahy pieces together? I love their dynamic and think your style will really flatter that.
Thank you for the work you do!!
I didn't realize there were comments in my inbox, and I’ve kept you waiting for a really long time. I'm so sorry!! I wonder if you who asked the question are still looking at my posts...
I really should turn on Tumblr notifications right away!

hi, do you know or feel like there's gonna be more Bishova in the upcoming MCU movies/shows? like i'm pretty certain not to expect the ship to become canon because that'd be too good to be true, but i wonder if they'll ever cross path again or keep the Hawkeye/Black Widow dynamic or wants to do something completely different so it's not like Nat and Clint's friendship. Anyway, i'm craving more Bishova content and idk whether to actually keep on hoping of if it's totally doomed?
Hi! The main thing I know that they'll both be in is Marvel Zombies, which has recently been announced for October 2025. And honestly... it will be an AU (obviously) and probably one or both of them will die fhkjdashldj but I’m in love with the concept art: their OUTFITS and the HEIGHT DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!! I will literally take anything :
I highly doubt Kate will show up in Thunderbolts* (May 2025), but I did see something on Twitter where Hailee Steinfeld was asked if she would be in it in (in like, a post-credits scene or whatever) and she did not say no. So that was a horrible thing to suddenly have hope for! Though I'm super excited for more of Yelena's story in Thunderbolts*, regardless.
Beyond that, I have no idea. There seem to be a lot of rumors about Hawkeye Season 2 and how it'll be more Kate focused, but I guess we'll see. I have zero expectations (or honestly, desire) for them to be set up as romantic in canon, but it feels like such a waste to not involve both of them in each other's stories, given the parallels and the general chemistry they have. I DO think every day about that post someone made about a Hawkeye/Widow movie that would flip between the past (Clint and Natasha) and present (Kate and Yelena)… And if it were up to me, I would have signed them both up for 7 seasons of them clashing and challenging each other and kicking ass and falling in love in the most torturous way possible ..... But I'm hardly a Marvel writer so what do I know, I guess!!!!!!
#I'm new to this so if anyone has other info chime in#short answer:#I'm hoping for more content anon#the clown makeup is ON#bishova#anonymous

Hi there. I just got interested in 616 Steve and Clint dynamic recently, and I wonder if you can recommend some titles highliting their relationship? Thank you. 🥰
Steve & Clint's friendship is seriously one of my favorite things about Avengers comics. We start out with Clint annoying the fuck out of Steve, and over a period of years we evolve to Clint continuing to annoy the fuck out of Steve except they care deeply about each other now. Clint learned how to be a leader from Steve, is extremely, extremely loyal, and will defend Steve in basically any circumstance. This is not to say that they don't disagree, because man do they ever disagree. But they're good friends. I think Steve likes having friends who aren't afraid to disagree with him.
(I didn't know until I read Young Avengers v1 for the first time last week that Kate became Hawkeye while Clint was dead, because Steve gave her the name, because he was impressed by how she stood up to him. You might have thought Clint would have given her the name after he came back to life, but no. Whoever annoys Steve the most gets to be Hawkeye. Apparently that's the rule. What's really funny is that Steve also does this again to someone else in the current miniseries Avengers Twilight, for the same reason. Who gives him the most shit? You're Hawkeye now! It's great.)
So! A list of Fun Comics About Steve And Clint!
The obvious starting place is the Kooky Quartet era of the Avengers. This begins in Avengers #16 when Clint joins the team. For those of you who don't have this issue memorized, in Avengers #16 Steve is off fighting villains by himself in another country, when the rest of the founding Avengers decide they need a break. So Steve finds out when he gets back that they're all leaving, that he's the new leader, and that his new teammates are Quicksilver, the Scarlet Witch, and Hawkeye, none of whom he knows, all of whom are former criminals and/or villains. I don't know when the Kooky Quartet era officially ends, but I can tell you that the team mostly contains Pietro and Wanda until #47, so I suppose that's the end of the Quartet. I read up to #35 relatively recently so I can tell you there's good Steve & Clint stuff up to at least that far, and probably farther. You get to see their relationship evolve into them deciding that maybe they actually like each other.
There are also a lot of retellings of early canon (and newer stories set in the past) that will give you glimpses of the Kooky Quartet era with a more modern sensibility. The thing I'm thinking of here is Avengers #1.1 to #4.1 by Mark Waid, which was a miniseries released in 2017 as part of Mark Waid's Avengers v7. I think the wiki lists it under v7; it was released in trade with the title Avengers Four, which isn't confusing at all. Anyway, it's all Kooky Quartet and it's great. You know how Waid's Man Out of Time series kind of rewrites and expands Avengers #4 to tell a new story? This is like that but for Avengers #16.
You might also consider series that are entirely early-canon retellings like Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (the miniseries, not the cartoon); I know that definitely goes up to the Quartet and beyond. There are two volumes of this series.
I unfortunately can't tell you what happens in most of v1 off the top of my head, but I can give you a list of Avengers v1 issues in which both Steve and Clint are on the team, because I have a big list of team rosters. After Avengers #62, Clint changes his codename to Goliath for a bit, but he's still there until #111 (mostly with Steve also on the team), then #142-147, then #172-177, then #181-182, then #221-232. This takes you up to the mid-1980s. After that, except for a few scattered issues, Clint and Steve aren't both on the Avengers again until volume 3, in 1998. (You will note that this is also true of Steve and Tony, and in fact it's for the exact same reason -- both Clint and Tony are on the West Coast Avengers, in California, for pretty much the rest of v1. Clint's other Avengers v1 appearances are #305, #309, #313, #397-401. So it's not a lot there.)
But, don't worry, Clint also has several cameo appearances in Captain America v1. Unlike Avengers, I don't have a handy list of these, so you can probably just go through Clint's appearances list on the Marvel wiki and see which ones are in Cap comics. I can tell you the three that stick with me, though! Two of them are Cap #316 and #317, where Clint and Bobbi come back to New York for a visit, and Steve and Bernie break up so that Bernie can go to law school in Wisconsin, and Bernie throws a party on her last night there that Steve is supposed to attend, except Steve fucks off to go superheroing with Clint. They talk about their love lives and Clint gets to use Steve's shield and Steve gets to use Clint's bow. Steve gets back to find out that he has entirely missed the party and Bernie has finally left him. Can't imagine why.
My other pick is Cap #401, which if you are a Steve/Tony fan you will know is the issue after Operation Galactic Storm where Tony finds Steve in a bar to apologize for everything he's ever done. But the reason Steve is in the bar in the first place is that Clint got sick of Steve sulking and came and jumped on his bed until Steve gave in and went out for a drink with Clint.
Clint does then of course make him talk about his feelings. It's a very sweet interlude of Clint cheering Steve up in his own unique way.
Volume 3 is the next time Steve and Clint are together on the Avengers since Clint left for the West Coast -- and, I mean, it's a good read anyway. This is when I set the one Steve/Clint fic I actually wrote, so here we see my biases. Clint starts out on the team right in Avengers v3 #1, and he stays there until #10, which is when he leaves to lead the Thunderbolts. (Note to self: read Thunderbolts.) You'd think at this point that Clint wouldn't be back with Avengers for a while, but he immediately comes back in #12 and brings his new Thunderbolts and gets into a fight with Steve about whether the T-Bolts can be trusted. Clint later pays the team another visit in the Avengers/Thunderbolts crossover "The Nefaria Protocols" (Avengers v3 #32-34, Thunderbolts v1 #43-44 -- but, you know, in more of an interspersed order) which is a lot of fun and I'm not just saying that because I have a 160,000-word Steve/Tony WIP that is set during it. Anyway. Kurt Busiek started out writing both Avengers and Thunderbolts in this era of canon, but by the time this crossover happened, Fabian Nicieza had taken over Thunderbolts.
There is also a second Avengers/Thunderbolts crossover during this timeframe, the 2004 miniseries Avengers/Thunderbolts #1-6, by Busiek and Nicieza. I haven't actually read it because I wanted to read more Thunderbolts first, but I can tell you it does have both Clint and Steve in it, although it's set after Clint has stopped leading the T-Bolts and has returned to the Avengers.
Yes, Clint does actually rejoin the Avengers proper toward the end of v3 -- he's there from #75 right up to #503 (it renumbered to #500 after #84), although I suspect that that's when he actually dies, because that's Avengers Disassembled. The only Steve & Clint interaction in that time period that really sticks in my mind is Avengers v3 #77, in which Clint takes it upon himself to give Steve some romantic advice that Steve definitely isn't asking for.
(If you've seen any of this issue at all, it's probably an out-of-context panel of Steve telling Clint he didn't say he wanted a woman.)
Once again, Clint also makes some cameos in Steve's comics, in Captain America v3. The one that's memorable to me is in the Capmania arc of Cap v3, which is the very first arc, #1-7. The TPB version of this appears to be called To Serve and Protect. Mostly I remember Clint giving Steve shit about Captain America's new, massive popularity (which turns out to be an evil Skrull plan).
So after Avengers Disassembled, Clint is dead until after Civil War, at which point Steve is also dead, so they're, uh, not interacting much. However, even though Steve is dead, you probably want to read Fallen Son (specifically #3), which is the issue where Tony learns that Clint is alive again and then immediately tries to get him to be Captain America because Tony only has the best and healthiest coping mechanisms when Steve is dead. Clint tries out the shield and uniform and then basically tells Tony to go fuck himself. So that's a no from him. While he's running around dressed as Captain America is also when he meets Kate for the first time and finds out that she's Hawkeye. Everyone is very angsty about everything because that's just what Civil War comics are like.
(I guess I should have known after reading this comic how Kate got her name, but, as I said. I hadn't read Young Avengers until last week, so everything the Young Avengers did in this comic didn't really register.)
The next time Steve and Clint are both alive at the same time is Avengers v4. Clint is on the team for the whole run (#1-34). Technically Steve is Commander Rogers of the Secret Avengers up until after Fear Itself, so he doesn't actually rejoin the team until #18, but he spends a lot of the first half of the run hanging around the Avengers anyway for some reason (it's because he's deeply weird about Tony). So you might as well start from the beginning because Steve's there a lot despite technically not being on the team. I can't say that Steve and Clint have any memorable moments in v4 that are coming to mind right now, but they are both there and it's a reasonably fun run.
Speaking of the Secret Avengers, Steve runs the Secret Avengers until #21. Clint runs them from #22 onward (Steve stays for the first couple issues of Clint's tenure, #22 and #23). Don't ask me how Clint can lead the Secret Avengers and be on the regular Avengers at the same time when Steve apparently can't do this, but this seems to be a thing Clint can do. It's probably because Clint's not weird about Tony. Anyway, the issue you actually want to read is Secret Avengers #21.1, where Steve actually hands the Secret Avengers over to Clint and they do some superheroing together, just like old times.
Clint was on the Avengers during Hickman's run, as was Steve, because pretty much everyone was on Hickman's Avengers at some point (seriously, have you seen those team rosters?) but I don't know that Clint and Steve had any really good moments. There was that bit in one of the Original Sin tie-ins (#30) where Future Clint told Steve he should kill Tony but I don't think that was a very good moment. I'm not sure that Steve and Clint have been on a team together since then because I honestly don't think Clint's been on the main team since then, though they've both shown up in events and so on. I guess you could read Avengers Millennium. That had both of them and it had some fun moments for them, by which I mean that one panel where Clint watches Steve punch out a lion.
In terms of Clint's cameo appearances in Cap comics of this era, I know Clint's been in Brubaker's run, although the only moment with Steve I can honestly remember is when he gets mad at Steve for not telling him Bucky was the Winter Soldier, in the Trial arc. And -- not by Brubaker but at the same approximate time -- there's a Captain America & Hawkeye series (#629-632).
It's part of the same series of Cap team-ups that includes One Night In Madripoor (Captain America & Iron Man #633-635), and in fact these are the issues that are right before One Night in Madripoor.
It's fun. Steve gets turned into a dinosaur.
So you might wonder at this point whether Steve appears in any of Clint's solo comics, and sadly I can't really answer that because I haven't read a lot of Clint's solo comics and the ones I did read didn't have a whole lot of Steve that I remember. Mostly I've read Fraction and some of the really early Hawkeye minis. @blossomsinthemist recommends the miniseries Hawkeye: Blindspot (2011), which I have not read but which does have Clint and Steve on the cover, which seems promising in terms of its potential to contain both Steve and Clint.
I looked at the beginning and it appears to be set in early Avengers v4. You see what I mean about Steve just hanging around the team. This is apparently following on from the events of the 2011 miniseries Widowmaker, and it's about Clint going blind. All the angst.
There are probably more Hawkeye solo comics that feature Steve but I don't know what they are.
To recap, in list form, vaguely ordered by Avengers comics in an era and then Cap comics in the same era:
Kooky Quartet: Avengers v1 #16-47
Avengers Four (Avengers v7 #1.1-4.1)
Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes v1 & v2
Avengers v1 #48-111, #142-147, #172-177, #181-182, #221-232, #305, #309, #313, #397-401
Captain America v1 #316-317
Captain America v1 #401
Avengers v3 #1-10, #12
The Nefaria Protocols: Avengers v3 #32-34, Thunderbolts v1 #43-44
Avengers/Thunderbolts (2004) #1-6
Avengers v3 #75-503 (esp. #77)
Captain America v3 #1-7
Fallen Son: The Death of Captain America #3
Avengers v4 #18-34
Secret Avengers v1 #21.1 (and #22 and #23 if you want)
Avengers: Millennium #1-6
Captain America & Hawkeye #629-632
Hawkeye: Blindspot #1-4
I hope that gives you someplace to get started!

HELLO NAMIS GIRLFRIEND 🫡🫡💥💥💥💥💥 would love to request some general mihawk x reader hcs !!!!!!! gn or masc reader if you please ^_^ love him and his bigass unblinking eyes . thanks in advance !!!! 🧡🧡🧡🧡
hi hello anon!! this was rlly fun to work with, i think mihawk and a silly little creature is truly the dynamic ever.
summary: meet-cute turned meet-ugly on kuraigana island. collective hc thing about awkward!mihawk and a gn!reader who doesn’t know when to shut up to save their life.
word count: 580 words // 0.5k
cw: none!
with roronoa zoro returned to his captain, and perona’s soul floating far from her body as usual — dracule mihawk is perhaps a little lonely. while it's something he wouldn't admit, or truly let bother him in any way. but it is strange, the lack of noise and clatter around the castle. at first, he takes the opportunity to relax. read more books, lounge around, train every once and a while.
the routine is boring. he feels as though he may crawl right out of his skin. however, one morning, he discovers a surprise. on the way back to his makeshift training grounds, after feeding the many monkeys with swords, obviously — he finds an intruder.
and, well, maybe that isn't exactly the right word. you're young, have an androgynous air about yourself, and are currently hanging from one of the bear traps perona set up on a whim. he has to stifle a laugh, albeit small, since he'd warned her that roronoa would most likely fall victim.
but it isn't his ward, back from travelling already. he cuts you down from the tree, and offers a gloved hand. you get to your feet with a grin, looking him up and down.
"ha! i didn't actually think i'd find you here," you laugh, bending forward a little to catch your breath.
he only stares back, blinks once, and then twice.
"i just mean- uh, there are a lot of rumours, you know! when i was travelling around the neighbouring islands, they told me this place was haunted."
mihawk sighs. tourism, one of the most dreadful crimes of all. maybe even worse than piracy, or men with red hair who don't know when to stop talking. you remind him of one in particular, which doesn't help his already souring mood.
"i am not surprised," he says, tone measured, "many fear the unfamiliar. kuraigana is home to no phantoms, or vampires for that matter."
you can't help the smile that spreads unwillingly across your face. the barkeep at the last inn you'd slept in had indeed spoken of a vampire lord. "heard that one through the grapevine, huh?"
that stare is back on you again, and the moniker 'hawkeye' is starting to make way too much sense. "i beg your pardon?"
"don't worry about it," you snort, waving a hand in dismissal. "but i do have a favour to ask, you mind if i stay over for a bit?"
"..."
"listen, i have a good reason, okay?" you plead.
"and that is?"
"well, i may have taken something kind of important. from someone important. by accident, obviously, i'm totally not a pirate. i don't believe in piracy at all," you explain, gesturing to the ocean far behind you both. "and honestly, the guy seemed pretty mad, so i kinda just uh-"
"i get the feeling that if i let you continue on like this, we'll be here all day," mihawk says, before turning abruptly and heading back toward his original destination.
you run after him on a whim, expecting either rejection entirely or the cool steel of the sword he has strapped across his back. "hey, hey, wait up! i thought we were getting to know each other!"
"no time for that now," he replies, doesn't even turn to check you're following. "if what you say is true, i suppose leaving a poor mouse out to be eaten alive is unbecoming of a warlord."
"whatever you say, mr captain warlord sir."
"..."
"sorry, sorry! oi, watch it-"
FIN
happily ever after. he only kills u a little bit

Hii i love ur au and ur ideas are amazing! im just curious on the dynamic of captain firebug and the warlords?👀 i saw the car meme n i kinda wanna know how he is being (lovingly) bullied by them
🥲🙏♥️ ty that's so nice of you to say I'm glad you're enjoying this au mess.
as for the warlords, he's not allowed at the meetings anymore as he's been the cause for too many distractions.
kuma makes him uncomfy while jinbei & he acknowledge one another with vague nods and keep their distance. jinbei can sense a troubled soul a mile away and buggy doesn't like the searching pity he sees in the other's eyes.
meanwhile he will stop everything and scream if moria comes too close to him. moria finds this hilarious and does it often.
boa and he actually have a decent relationship. they met when buggy was the only male on tsuru's ship and she's sort of decided he doesn't count as a man - buggy isn't 100% sure what he thinks about that - but they're almost the same height and he loves talking flashy fashion with her. they can be seen out and about shopping and gossiping now and then.
mihawk is a big danger for buggy since he knows shanks. and loves bringing up shanks just to make buggy flounder and panic. hawk seems to enjoy the colors buggy turns when distressed and it's as uncomfortable as it sounds. once buggy wore his sword around mihawk and had to yeet it out the nearest window because he DID NOT like the predatory look in the man's eyes.
once it was reported shanks was dead by the swordsman's hand and buggy stormed up to mihawk, grabbed his collar, and told him if that was true, he was going to kill hawkeyes himself.
mihawk has a new appreciation for captain firebug after this.
doffy is banned from speaking to the captain. he tries to recruit firebug into the family, mostly to stress tsuru out. he's too good at cold reading people and has managed to chip at the fortress around buggy's broken heart and finds the little marine interesting. which is, bad. doffy can give buggy a mental breakdown after a five minute conversation.
buggy hides behind sir crocodile if doffy is around and as a distraction has literally shoved the warlord at the other and ran away.
meanwhile, crocodile is the warlord who wants to throttle captain firebug THE MOST.
they met pretty young, croc thought himself a dashing figure and this absolute brat had the audacity to call him boring!!
it drives him mad that he can't impress buggy, who thinks crocodile land-locking himself to "play babysitter to a country" is more a surrender than an achievement a pirate should brag about.
croc is ...a little obsessed. he doesn't want to be. he really doesn't, but if he can't get buggy to see his accomplishments as impressive he'll settle for bullying/forcing the captain to work for him on the most obnoxious projects as he tries to crack the other's interest.
mihawk tells shanks later how crocodile is "aggressively flirting" with buggy and then happily sits back for the show of Shanks' tantrum.

so i figure there are like five main types of pre-90s gay jokes based on reading stuff about homoeroticism in film/tv and also watching things in general:
1 - it's funny because it's absurd. dude making the joke is very masculine, there's no doubt as to his virility and manliness and heterosexuality, the punchline comes from the juxtaposition of effeminacy with masculinity, the laughter is safe because we know it's not true. you see this a lot in masculine genres like war movies.
2 - self deprecation. it's funny because it's a joke at the teller's own expense, he's not particularly masculine and he's highlighting this through sexuality jokes, to make fun of himself. in some way he's failed to live up to the standard of masculinity, and this is equated with homosexuality. everyone has a good laugh because they know it's just a joke, and often they can relate because most men fail to live up to at least some masculine standards. Jack Benny's an example I've seen cited a lot, though idk first hand.
3 - homoerotic male duos. it's funny because it's an exaggeration of a presumed platonic friendship, or maybe power dynamic. the first and second types may also factor in, but don't necessarily have to. this isn't all homoeroticism between friends, this is just referring to the jokes that lampshade it. couples jokes, one in drag playing a wife, etc. jerry lewis and dean martin are probably a good example, and starsky and hutch fit here.
4 - full on straightforward mockery. insults, brief appearances by people playing effete stereotypes for the sole purpose of making the audience laugh, etc. deprecation of others. the most common, probably
5 - the bugs bunny factor. it's not self deprecating, and it's not a juxtaposition to some 'real' masculinity underneath - it's a point of pride and triumph. this is where seducing your enemy to own him comes in. it's funny because it's subversive. it's not self-mockery, it's a mockery of social norms and authority through embodying their opposite. it's probably rooted in anarchic comedy? maybe burlesque before that, but i think most of these can probably be traced to burlesque, idk i need to read more on that. anyway this is the best kind and it's mainly where hawkeye fits.
i guess there's a bonus 6 too - sly allusions and double entendres only people in the know were expected to get. idk if that quite counts as a main(stream) type of joke, but it's probably worth mentioning.
#you can find that bugs bunny essay on scihub iirc#or maybe zlibrary idk i downloaded it from somewhere so it's available and a fun read#text post#idk man i'm bored tonight lol#have a vague summary of stuff i've been occasionally reading for the past year#i'm actually partway thru an article on homoeroticism in burlesque humour in the 1800s i should go back to that#mash#marley on mash#i mention hawkeye so it goes in the tags#mash gs

My top three favorite actors on MASH are: (In order of opening credits.)
McLean Stevenson- I think he is a big part of what makes the first three seasons so great. In fact, I’d say he was the true star of the show during that era. He was hilarious and stole just about every scene he was in. I think he had potential for more serious moments too and I wish we had gotten to see Henry ecolve. I love Harry Morgan as well and think Colonel Potter was a good replacement, but I’ll always wish we had gotten more seasons with Henry Blake.
Larry Linville- Larry probably had the toughest role on the show to play and he totally nailed it. Yes, Frank was awful but that was the whole point of the character and Larry played him so brilliantly despite being Frank’s total opposite in real life. In fact, the only thing he probably had in common with Frank was the Ferret Face nickname. Larry also knew when it was time to bow out, although I think it’s a shame there was no Frank/Charles overlap on the show. I think a Hawkeye/Trapper/Frank/Charles Swamp dynamic would have been interesting and very entertaining.
David Ogden Stiers- I love the Blake/Trapper seasons the best, but I think David was the best actor out of all of them. He was great at both the comedy and the drama and stole the show on a regular basis, in my opinion. The more I watch, the more I wish they had done with the Charles character and given him more of a central role. He’s a major reason why I even watch any episodes beyond the Gelbart/Reynolds era. I think he was the true star of the show its last six seasons.
Most underrated actor
Wayne Rogers- It’s a shame the producers and writers didn’t recognize and appreciate Wayne’s natural comedic talents. He was so funny and charismatic. He had so much potential as Trapper had he been given better material and a few more chances to shine. I wish he’d stayed with the show.

Trapper: Maybe this is why I was sent to Korea. Hawkeye: Maybe, but I wouldn't underestimate your draft board. Trapper: Up until now, I felt my being here was senseless. For the first time, I think I have a real reason for being here. Father Mulcahy: That's the beginning of faith, Trapper. Hawkeye: Father, you made a big score this morning. Don't press. M*A*S*H, "Kim", s02e06
This exchange between Trapper, Hawkeye, and Mulcahy really sets up the ending of "Kim", because as soon as Trapper says his lines you know the episode won't end with him adopting Kim. M*A*S*H's entire thesis statement on war is that it is senseless and pointless and results in basically nothing good, especially the early seasons. There is no grand vision to why Trapper was sent to Korea, no true purpose or higher calling, spiritual or otherwise.
Interestingly this scene also flips the usual Hawkeye-Trapper dynamic on its head; whereas Hawkeye is usually the idealist and Trapper the realist who helps keep him grounded, here it's Trapper who's letting himself get carried away (and nearly re-converted if Father has anything to say about it) while Hawkeye is reminding him of the truth about their situation, albeit in a joking enough tone that the scene comes off as lighthearted for the most part. At least until the end.

Honestly if bkdk doesn’t become even close to them being like duo partners, or like just being very close friends in the end, imma be so confused.
Like how will they explain the whole chasing thing, the constant keep your eyes on me, are you gonna be able catch up to me cuz I’m going ahead to the “can I ever catch up to you Izuku?”
Or the childish nickname that Bakugo doesn’t tell him to stop using, sharing OFA secret only to him bc Midoriya couldn’t stand the idea that Bakugo thought he was lying to him
Midoriya going savage after Bakugo getting hurt, to Bakugo waking up in the hospital and he is fighting to go see his childhood friend.
To the I know him better then anyone else.
Taking the AllMight card they got as kids together to war and thinking about it before he died!?? Reaching out to him, calling him by his name and ending up in the vestige world…
Like how are these not romantic? Honestly, Hori could’ve easily made Ochako be part of all of these tropes, as the love interest she could’ve had at least been the one to know OFA secret, or even a moment where they stranded somewhere or in a mission to defeat a villain.
I guess that’s where mangaka don’t know how to write female protagonist, but if Midoriya and Ochako do become canon, they had a lot of space to have almost similar plot but instead of Bakugo it could’ve been Ochako.
She is a smart with a powerful quirk, and if she is endgame then I will have to agree with the statement that Hori doesn’t know how to write female characters. But that’s only if Midoriya and her become canon, cuz there was soo much potential to give her more character development, instead of giving it to Bakugo.
Bakugo is one of my favorite characters tho, and it’s fascinating to see the relationship he already has with other characters.
The position for best friend is already given to Kirishima. He was in the hospital when Midoriya wakes up after Bakugo got kidnapped, and states that this must be harder on Midoriya than it is to him, which is why he wants to go looking for him. Best friend is asking the closest person to join him to save Bakugo.
His true rival is Todoroki, they are always in equal footing, from the beginning with their developing ideas of what is hero, to them failing the exams, all the way to the war.
Bakugo is the only one with no love interest, which is okay honestly and technically doesn’t have to mean anything, but how are you gonna counter the idea that he is obsessed with Midoriya.
I know MHA is not gonna end with a bkdk kiss, or like them pronouncing their love for each other bc this disgusting world is still very homophobic. But I want them to at least be the first people to they see when they wake up from the hospital or something. Probably like a Mustang and Hawkeye relationship, not official but obviously something.
¯\ _(ツ)_/¯ but I don’t know, this is just me ranting. If anyone wants to talk about MHA with me pls message me. I have bkdk brain rot but I’m not close minded, I love all of the characters. And I know how people talk about Hiro rushing the manga, but he is doing it at the same pace as always. For example from the very start you have Midoriya getting OFA and it’s just like a montage of him working out, not much of a full arc of him training. And it’s a lot of character growth. The important ones have the scream time and other have crumbs but it’s enough for me to understand the dynamic.
Hiro doesn’t hold hands with his writing. So if he is just writing a very close friendship with these guys and not make it anything else then I been played. Bc they have examples of caring friends around them, like Todoroki, Iida, Kirishima and Ochako. Almost everyone at 1A are fighting for each others smiles, but none of them go to the extent of the wonder duo!
Even Aizawa states that when both of them are involve, they change the dynamic in the class. They inspire others to try harder and have this thing about them that even All Might admires about both of them.
Ughh well anyone wants to rant with me pls message me, I need friends that want to talk about anime

Bruce and Clint start fake-dating to mess with the others. But then it becomes a question of how long they can keep this up, and maybe their “dates” aren’t quite so platonic anymore…
figure drawing (ao3) - thingswithwings bruce/steve E, 20k
Summary: When he gets back to New York, Steve only lasts five days living in Williamsburg before he packs up again and heads, shamefaced, to Stark Tower. The people are nice enough, but they’re a kind of rich that Steve doesn’t know how to deal with, and the neighborhood is crowded and strange, with too many eyes on him all the time.
his true colors (ao3) - Nonymos bruce/loki, bruce/clint E, 103k
Summary: The battle of New York was a turning point for the entire planet – but especially so for Bruce Banner. This is a unique chance for him to find the Hulk a place in this world. It is a staggering hope, but unrealistic as it sounds, it might just come true.
And then his hesitant plan turns out to be too successful. Everyone including the Avengers apparently expect the Hulk to take his turn in the spotlight. But the more Hulk thrives, the more Bruce withers, and nobody seems to notice or care. When Loki extends a hand to him, he is fully aware it is a trick – but he has got nothing else to hold onto.
The Avengers realize just a bit too late how royally they screwed up. The sharp-sighted, ever-watching Hawkeye cannot blame himself enough for not having seen this disaster coming. Can they still be saved from Banner ?
Do they even deserve it ?
(The story is set right after the 2012 Avengers movie with slight EMH dynamics thrown in the middle.)

My Unshaped Form (ao3) - atrata bruce/natasha E, 26k
Summary: Of all the people they could have sent, they send Bruce Banner. In his defense, he seems to realize he has no chance of finding her.
news flash (ao3) -robofruit bruce/thor N/R, 31k
Summary: Thor and Bruce have found love in each other, but when the news gets released, the public isn’t too thrilled about their relationship.
smashing is more fun with friends (ao3) - TunaFishChris bruce/natasha T, 8k
Summary: Or, 5 Times the Hulk helped/saved/hung out with an Avenger, and one time they saved him.
Can be read as a stand-alone, but is also takes place after “The Wisdom of Children.”
sun’s getting low (ao3) - mrstater bruce/natasha T, 65k
Summary: SHIELD’s collapse leaves Natasha uncertain of her place in the world. While Bruce enjoys life at Avengers Tower, he continues to doubt whether he’s more an asset than a liability to the team. Can they learn to trust each other–and themselves–enough to help each other find what they’re looking for?
these walls are paper thin (ao3) - IamShadow21 bruce/betty T, 13k
Summary: When most people think of Bruce Banner and The Hulk, they think of it as an either/or situation and assume that it’s easy to tell who they’re face to face with.
Most people are wrong.
Wade In Your Water (ao3) - especiallythezefronposter tony/bruce M, 62k
Summary: In 1984, Bruce Banner is reported killed in action after a bomb test gone wrong. A month later, he returns to Caltech university to finish up his thesis.

Ship It
1. What made you ship it?
Waugh, the first MASH episode I remember seeing was Dr. Pierce and Mr. Hyde, and the funny-turns-touching caretaking instantly set off the little shippy bulb in my brain. I love best friend ships, I love the love and affection between them, I love that they're a paired set and the support they show, and I feel like there's a really special quality to their friendship that makes them feel Very Important to each other. Plus they have great chemistry.
2. What are your favorite things about the ship?
Kfksjsj low key got ahead of myself there. But the thing that keeps me hooked is how flexible they ss characters and their dynamic is. I feel like there's lots of angles you can take and lots of scenarios to explore while still keeping the characters in line with what we see in the show. I love that they're in sync 95% of the time, but those little gaps leave just enough room for drama or angst. I love that they're inveterate kinksters AND softboys who care for each other. They're just great.
3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
I mean there are certain common takes on both characters, especially Trapper, that make me cuckoo bananas rageful. The whole Trapper Abandoned Hawkeye and Broke His Heart thing 🔪🔪🔪 I will also die on the hill that Trapper Is Much Softer Than People Give Him Credit For and Hawkeye Is Much Stronger. Trying to think of how to phrase my gripes and opinions such that I don't come off as unnecessarily bitchy lol. But like, it is SO HARD to find stuff for these two that Works for me. I think they're more interesting and complex than they're given credit for.
Annnnd BeejHawk 🍵
Don't Ship It
1. Why don’t you ship it?
I feel like you articulated this at a deep level beautifully in your meta a few days ago lol. I mean fundamentally I am a Trapper Girl TM and TrapHawk is my One True Pairing, so this was always doomed to at best second tier "I like it fine" ship status tbh. But there's just too much friction in the relationship on screen, there's some genuine meanness and anger, they misunderstand each other at key points, and I don't see the chemistry between them. Being extremely petty and subjective for a second, I just don't like BJ as a character very much, I find him frequently mean and petty and annoying and unfunny. Hawkeye can do better.
2. What would have made you like it?
Augh. Okay, I think in a lot of BJHawk interactions that others read as shippy, I see an edgy clinginess that makes me Uncomfy. So BJ being less "repressed neurotic" and a little more ease in their relationship. Also the fundamental biggest barrier to BJHawk is BJ Loves His Wife and Child, and I don't want to like. Get rid of that aspect of his character because it's vital to him, y'know? But maybe more of Hawkeye corresponding with Peg and building up a friendship with her- it could even be comedic, where he's planning a surprise for BJ who's getting increasingly suspicious then is amused/embarrassed/fond when he figures it out, but just like a sense Hawkeye could be included in the family dynamic without being wildly unfair to Peg, or even just BJ being a little more liberated sexually such that it's easier to imagine them conducting an affair that doesn't IMMEDIATELY implode his marriage. I mean, BJ is the deuteragonist for 2/3 of the show, obviously I have thoughts on their dynamic and how it would change with a romantic or sexual element to it, but I frankly don't see Gay BJ at all, I don't see Bi BJ at all, he's sooooo heterosexual to me, so a more sexually ambiguous or chill BJ is necessary lol. Also more BJ taking care of Hawkeye, more buddy vibes and funny coziness! And like this is probably me ragging too much on BJ... IDK it's hard to say how Hawkeye would need to change, he's already trying to be a good friend given the circumstances... I mean, for my subjective ship tastes 90% of my personal turn offs come from BJ, so Hawkeye is not really the problem in this ship for me. I guess something that really bugs me about the BJHawk fic I've tried that turns me off the ship is Sad Sack Hawkeye, so maybe more content with spunky prankster Hawkeye and co-conspirator BJ, or a proactive seductive Hawkeye pursuing BJ, romancing him, making it more of a "I want this because I want you" than a "I'm clinging to this because I need you" thing, which isn't sexy to me.
3. Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
Jfkdndkdn. Yeah, I guess. It's not like. A bad ship. I get it. They were The Pair for 8 seasons, they have many many moments to build a ship on, it's not without merit or something. They're friends who've been brought together in horrible circumstances, they go through a lot, they're close, there's some great scenes for them. I think you can get some interesting scenarios out of their dynamic, though my brain runs a little darker and angstier than shippy. But it is just so very much Not My Cup of Tea in either the show or in the fan works I've tried. Even fics that were otherwise interesting and well-written and in character, the BJHawk elements were pure 😬 to me. Truly truly "Your ship is not my ship and that's okay" situation.
#thank you for the ask 🦔#i think i got dangerously honest on my opinions here lol#me: (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ🏏*.✧ oh boy a shiny new bat! i can't wait to swing it at hornets nests kgkfkfkf

Out of curiosity, do you have any crossover ships for MHA/FMA crossover fics? Asking for a friend
(The friend is me, hi, all my crossover ships here are apparently rarepairs?)
HI PANCAKE!!! Crossover ships are so fun, and FMA/MHA has so much variety!!! Here's a few interactions, romantic or otherwise, I came up with personally
I dabbled in an FMA/MHA crossover once, with Ed world-hopping and getting stuck in the Hero Academia world and having to go to UA undercover for a time. He hit it off with Yaomomo for having similar 'quirks', and they became pretty close friends. I thought the Ed/Momo ship in that context was pretty cute, especially since Momo can match his rapid-fire intellect and Ed can boost her self-esteem!
I think if Al was there, he might be really excited about the amount of kids his age who can hang out with that won't judge him for his armored body! Ship-wise, he could probably be paired with anyone. Dude's got rizz. 😂 Just to name a few, Toru could empathize with the ghost kid allegations, Tokoyami would think his armor looks awesome and the blood seal thing is gnarly, and Uraraka (hell even DEKU) has that same charismatic energy of Mei or Julia or Elena, the hero-hopefuls with a lot of heart. There's a lot of really fun interactions to play around with in general, especially since Al is the perfect age to be in this class!
On a platonic tangent, I think Greed would hit it off with the League of Villains. He'd probably try to take over the League himself shdhmsgajaam. He, Spinner, Twice, Toga and Compress in particular would be pretty close, while Dabi and Shiggy would probably be more withdrawn. (Extra tangent— but i think Greedling specifically would be very interested in observing All For One since Ling would be interested in his secret to immortality and Greed wants All The Quirks, Too, so they've got a reason to be in the League of Villains in the first place)
Mustang's team is actually really fun to think about, because there are so many bnha characters that would give them such great general interactions! For starters, I'm really interested in an interaction between Mustang and Rei Todoroki. There's Hawkeye, who would be interesting to see interact with Lady Nagant. Havoc and Tensei, too, since they both were revered soldiers who were paralyzed from the waist down. Ed himself and Hawks have similar ground to share due to getting involved with the government at horrifically young ages.
For ships in particular, though, I'm not entirely sure– though Roy and Aizawa would be really funny because they're both begrudging father figures to problem children ASDHXBMSMA though I suppose I do actually like the idea of Riza and Nagant, since they've both got a haunted history of blood on their hands.
Now that I think of it, for no reason in particular, I really like the idea of Mandalay teaming up with Mustang's Team for something, and hitting it off with Havoc. I really like the potential witty dynamic there, with Havoc being a flirt and Mandalay bouncing it back with charm, but not as much fire as Pixie-Bob. It's the subtle things for me haha
ALSO OFF TOPIC BUT IMAGINE A RYUKU AND TRUE-FORM ENVY FACE OFF OMG
#HI PANCAKE BELOVED#WHAT ARE YOUR RAREPAIRS??? 👀👀👀#bnha#fma#ask#mutuals my beloved#i love being a multishipper because finding potentially good pairs is really fun due to the sheer variety of dynamics there are#crossover ships in particular are super fun because of common ground between the media#for instance momo and ed were particularly interesting to me because they're so alike#but they'd gone gruff such uniquely different circumstances to end up where they are#and momo's had her ending up with a lot of self doubt and anxiety while ed's hardened him into an arrogant overconfidence#thus momo can humble him and he can give her courage#all while matching each other's intellect and quick thinking#they're just really great schlsgjfhkdh

F-14 Vs F-15: Tomcat and Eagle crews explain why trying to determine which was the better fighter is a pointless exercise
F-14 Tomcat
The F-14 Tomcat and the F-15 Eagle are two of the best (and two of the most beautiful) fighters ever built.
First flown on Dec. 21, 1970, overall, the US Navy’s Grumman F-14 Tomcat was without equal among Free World fighters. Six long-range AIM-54A Phoenix missiles could be guided against six separate threat aircraft at long range by the F-14’s AWG-9 weapons control system. For medium-range combat, Sparrow missiles were carried; Sidewinders and a 20mm were available for dogfighting. In the latter role, the Tomcat’s variable-sweep wings gave the F-14 a combat maneuvering capability that could not have been achieved with a “standard” fixed planform wing.
F-15 Eagle
The US Air Force (USAF) F-15 Eagle was an all-weather fighter designed to gain and maintain air supremacy. As the first US fighter with engine thrust greater than its basic weight, the F-15 could accelerate while in a vertical climb. Its great power, light weight, and large wing area combined to make the Eagle a very agile fighter. The F-15 first flew on Jul. 27, 1972.

F-14 Vs F-15
Even if until today a real Tomcat Vs Eagle engagement with live weapons fired has never taken place, since the prototypes made their first flights (just two years apart) comparisons have been made between these two iconic aircraft. But, as you will read in the following article, trying to determine which was the better fighter is a pointless exercise.
Having spent his entire career flying USAF F-15Cs in Europe, Robert “Scout” Winebrenner never flew the Tomcat but during the 1980s he had the opportunity to fly Dissimilar Air Combat Training (DACT) with 6th Fleet F-14s in the Mediterranean.
As he explains in Issue 13 “Grumman F-14 Tomcat” of Aviation Classics magazine, innumerable discussions have been made about which was the better fighter, but although both the aircraft replaced the F-4 Phantom, the F-15 and the F-14 were built to satisfy totally different operational requirements, hence the two fighters could be more or less effective in the different missions they could have performed because of their respective strength and limitations.

F-14 multiple target track and multiple target engagement
For instance the F-14 was the best aircraft to defend U.S. Navy aircraft carriers against a multiple target engagement. In fact thanks to its beyond visual range (BVR) capabilities and assisted by E-2C Hawkeyes, the Tomcat could inflict severe losses to an incoming enemy bombers formation. In fact in comparing BVR performance, the Tomcat’s AWG-9 had true multiple target track and multiple target engagement with the AIM-54 Phoenix, while the Eagle did not gain a multiple target engagement capability until the late 1980s with the introduction of the AIM-120 AMRAAM. Moreover, as told by Scout, the AIM-7 Sparrow didn’t possess the range of the Phoenix and the Eagle could only get one or two shots before the merge. So, due to the lack of the multiple target engagement capability, the Eagle was not effective in this role.
Launching AIM-54s without limitations
By contrast the constant mixing of friendly and enemy aircraft typical of a Central European Defensive Counter-Air (DCA) would have rendered the Phoenix unusable in most of the engagements because of the dynamic environment faced by the fighters. Moreover the agility deficit of the then TF-30 powered F-14 could have caused problems during the several dogfights that crews could have faced in such a complex scenario.

Another role where the Tomcat could be very effective was a sweep mission were BVR missiles could be freely shot: this would be the case of a sweep ahead of a carrier-based attack package, a kind of mission where the F-14 would have been able to launch its AIM-54s without limitations due to the absence in the area of any friendly aircraft. Actually the mission would have been also accomplished also in the case the enemy aircraft had leaved the area refusing to engage the Tomcats.
F-15 good maneuverability needed to better face enemy aircraft
On the contrary, Winebrenner says that in a Force Protection / Escort mission, where the fighters cannot commit on hostile until they were within 20 miles, many Phoenix advantages are negated and the F-15 good maneuverability was needed to better face enemy aircraft. But despite the fact the Eagle’s sensors were better to sort out friendlies from enemies, if the BVR Rules of Engagements (ROE) were so restrictive that visual identification (VID) was required for weapons delivery, the Tomcat armed with Sparrows and Sidewinders was better suited since it owned the Television Camera Set (TCS), a chin-mounted optical sensor that could be slaved to radar line of sight.
So if needed, the F-14 crew could lock on to a target and (if VID was required for the engagement) zooming in with TCS to get a very early look at the potential target. As explained by Scout, the F-15 had nothing like this “It pains me to admit it, but we were flying around with rifle scopes strapped on to the Head-Up Display frame, allegedly boresighted” and achieving an early VID “was not that easy. Maybe other pilots thought it was great, but I didn’t. It was not user-friendly by any stretch of the imagination.”

F-14 Vs F-15: which was the better fighter?
So to the question to which was the better fighter, Winebrenner answers that depends on the mission, on the ROE, on the threat. And if the F-14 didn’t possess the close range dogfighting agility of the F-15, the Tomcat ability to launch 1000 lb air to air missiles with 135 lb warheads was impressive. And as Scout explains, claiming that a missile is easy to evade is much easier than actually evading it, especially if it is coming at you from above at Mach 5 and you cannot see it.
From the late 1980s both aircraft have received several improvements: so if the F-15C could finally engage multiple target thanks to the introduction of the AIM-120 AMRAAM, the thrust of the General Electric F110-GE-400 turbofans boosted the performance of the F-14B and D models.
Nevertheless as explained by LCDR Joe “Smokin” Ruzicka, who was the Radar Intercept Officer (RIO) to fly the last F-14 Demonstration before the Tomcat was retired by the US Navy in 2006, to Tyler Rogoway for foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com, the worst adversary for the F-14 in a mock dogfight remained the F-15C, since the Eagle was “more capable in that area than the Tomcat. You have to remember, the F-15C has a 9G turning capability versus 6.5 to 7.0 G for the Tomcat. But the F-15C is strictly air-to-air, so there are trade-offs in capabilities between the two jets. They don’t drop bombs, we do. Another thing: a lot of success in BFM has to do with the pilot’s ability to maximize the jet’s capability. Fortunately, the best trained guys who fly the F-15C are on our side!”

hi eli :D! i originally followed you for the aot content but i am also open to learning more about fmab! a summary of the show isnt needed, but could you briefly explain the relationship of the two characters you drew? +any other info to know while reading your fics or art :)
hi hi hiiii!! so happy ur open to learning about fmab after being here from the aot side of things, much much love 🫶🫶
if you’d like to: i would 100% suggest watching fmab or reading the manga (and then watching fma 03 if you feel so inclined bc tbh i got really confused by starting that first lol)
as for royai: this is the ship i’ve been obsessing over lately, it’s between roy mustang and riza hawkeye. roy is a colonel and state alchemist (flame alchemy specifically) in the amestris military, riza being his first lieutenant and right hand. if you like eruri they are a veryyyy similar dynamic — despite how clearly they love eachother, it’s incredibly complicated bc of their positions.
im so sorry I WENT OFF in my analysis below, im clearly very deep in brain rot rn — see below for a long ass answer to this ask lolll
staying relatively vague in these character analyses to avoid spoilers just in case!
riza hawkeye is a skilled sharpshooter, despite not having alchemical skills she goes toe to toe with some intense enemies and holds her own. she often comes off as stoic but is fiercely kind and loyal and just aghhh GOOD. and despite her colonel’s seemingly aloof/cocky attitude, she is one of the few people who knows who he truly is behind his mask. she knows he’ll do anything to one day turn the country around and attempt to correct past failures that they share a similar guilt in. so she supports him, often falling into a supervisory position despite being his subordinate. although, she does not do so blindly. she serves as his right hand with the agreement that at any point she could put a bullet in him, if he were to lose his way and become something sinister. (very much levi vibes right there lol). riza challenges roy to be a better person around every turn.
roy mustang on the other hand is outgoing, a “lady’s man” and exceedingly cocky due to his gifts in alchemy and his steadfast rise to power - although, he uses this persona to mask his true intention; to rise up the ranks and become ruler of amestris. he wants nothing more than to right the wrongs being committed by his country and help to fix the damage already done. in reality he really is a bit cocky, has no sense of self preservation and is sometimes childish. but he cares deeply for every person in his charge, even putting their lives above his own (to his lieutenant’s chagrin). roy’s character is often driven by a sense of overwhelming guilt or even a poisonous desire for revenge, riza is often the only one able to pull him back, to steady him. he’s a broken and messy character but he tries his best to right his many wrongs.
riza and roy partially got to watch eachother grow up, one of the things i like about them (being a first love type trope). roy stayed with riza’s family as a young man, learning alchemy from riza’s father and eventually was entrusted with the secret to her father’s flame alchemy by riza herself - to use it for good. although, circumstances from their shared lifetime somewhat tainted that naive and pure love they once had, creating this need for them both to redeem themselves - if possible. (angsty i know) even so, there is a sense that no matter what horrors they face together, they will always cherish eachother above all others.
anyway~~ in short, riza is girlboss love of my life and roy is pathetic sad boy loser core. and i love them so so dearly.
#asks#long story short LMAO#love these fmab asks#keep em coming!!#royai#colonel mustang#lieutenant hawkeye#roy mustang#riza hawkeye#fmab#fma#fullmetal alchemist brotherhood#fullmetal alchemist

hey prax <3 we are in completely different fandoms but 🍒 and 🍑 please 😍
hellooooo nirou!! 😁 we are bonded brothers now, there is no need to share fandoms. sorry this took a couple days to get to, travelling always has me tied up lol
🍒 What’s your favorite character dynamic to write? (Can be romantic or platonic, specific or general!)
characters who really, really like each other. this is so cheesy, but it's true! they could be friends or lovers or family, but i love writing about that big, swelling feeling of love you get when you really care about someone. it's the best feeling in the world and it makes me feel so warm and fuzzy to write about it. :melt: my characters are happy thinking about their buddies!!
🍑 If you could make a connection between your favorite character and another work you care about (whether a crossover/fusion or a wonderfully “pretentious” literary reference) what would it be? How would it work?
my first thought was hawkeye x it's a wonderful life. since it's such a flexible concept, you could write it a few ways; it could be a full crossover, a role transplant, you could have hawkeye experience george's "never been born" trip with clarence during the war. maybe it's along the lines of "follies of the living - concerns of the dead", which is an episode where we follow the ghost of a soldier who has died at the 4077th and a main character is able to see and partially communicate with him (not believed bc of his fever). whether or not you want to think of this as a literal, real supernatural thing that is happening or a narrative device to give the audience an outsider perspective on the main cast and act as a reminder of the cost of human lives in the war is up to the viewer in my onion.
i think hawkeye would have a really similar reaction to george, tbh! the initial disbelief, the dawning horror masked by anger. you'd want to play it carefully, so it doesn't come across as military apologia - the presence of the army in korea IS bad. and i think it would be less bombastic than IAWL's conclusion because george's impact on the lives of those around him is very much about his presence in the community, whereas hawkeye is like... he's a good surgeon, and it's good to save lives, but he is by design an interchangeable cog in the war machine, helping to fuel it and provide maintenance to other cogs whose jobs are to take the lives of others, and that is his central struggle throughout the show. any outcome to the fic where hawkeye comes out feeling good about his presence in the 4077th would go against that very significant aspect of hawkeye's beliefs. (and, tbh, it would run counter to my own principles!) so i'd want to tweak the concept a lot to make it fit better.
