Extremely and totally thankful that the drought has broken and we have rain! Less thrilled about the tornado warning and loss of sleep.

Genuinely, could not be happier to have rain, and to have rain and cool weather in the forecast for the next several days. After the heat and drought of the last two months, this is so welcome. But I could have certainly done without having to get up, and get us and all four cats into our shelter area at 12:30 in the morning.

#woolly rambles #and yes everything is fine we are all safe.#a tornado did touch down in the west of the county but it doesn't look like anything too horrendous #the kitties did NOT understand what we were all doing though #poor Thistle immediately took a panic dump on the floor (thankfully the litter boxes are in our shelter area so we could dispose of it)#but the poor guy was clearly embarrassed #and Atticus kept meowing loudly which he only does when he is Concerned About The Situation #it was a night y'all
