I'm not sure if there is much of a crossover between the dndads fandom and the indie perfume community, but I'm just going to take this moment to plug a very Glenn Close perfume

I'm wearing Charisma Bonus from Nui Cobalt today and even besides the name I'm just getting Glenn vibes all over

It's fun and sexy and a little immature with a vanilla honey and ylang ylang opening, with just a light burst of catnip to charm your target and stop the scent from getting too sweet, and then grounded by a dark, sticky, spiced patchouli that isn't too head-shoppy but definitely brings those kind of late night vibes to the scent

It's pretty unisex which to me works pretty well since I always imagined him and Morgan just sharing products back and forth depending on mood, and this definitely seems like something they both would wear

Is anyone claiming that it is? Rings of Power is currently the number one show on Amazon. No one’s saying it was bigger than Fallout, which was the number one show in Amazon when it was released. Also need to add some context to those numbers. That 65 million was based on 16 days and 8 episodes as Fallout dropped its entire season in one go. Rings of Power's 40 million is based on 11 days and only 4 episodes as it releasing weekly. Fallout's 11 day total would've been something like 44 million, still ahead of Rings of Power, but not massively and again that's because it had more episode available to watch. Of course, the only source we have on this is Amazon itself. As with all streamers we need to take what they say with a pinch of salt. You can never really be sure what is and isn't a success with them. Even cancellation isn't a sure sign of failure because they will axe a hit show just to save money and avoid wage increases for cast and crew.

me when i write a character who is prone to dooming themself and then they run off and doom themself. core traits are stubbornness and a willingness to disregard their own humanity gET BACK HERE IM NOT DONE WITH YOU

#rambling #surprisingly this is not about jakob.. im just really consistent about my favorite character archetypes 😭😭#WARNING THE NOTES ON THIS ARE REALLY LONG I STARTED RAMBLING #“ouhh i have a headache i'll just lie down and rotate my blorbos in no general direction for a while until it goes away” and then boom.#serious plot considerations. 2 questions answered 24million new questions raised. this is specifically Not what i asked for.#so now im sitting here STILL dizzy running mental calculations on how i can get this bitch out of peril without reworking everything #but they literally keep dying in every timeline 😭😭 every single plausible road leads to them running off and screwing themself over #“character who doesn't realize they want to live until it's way too late to look back” VS #“character who is forced to live and handle the things they never though they'd survive long enough to deal with” FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT.#fucking hell i have never had this much trouble writing a character as i have with them #they genuinely do just run off and do shit without my permission and then i have to pace for an hour or two wondering #“ok they wOULD do that. but should they. do i feel like i can confidently write that.”#im like constantly in this tug of war trying to get them to CHILL #but also they are absolutely my favorite character from the entire project. but like. being a busy ass student with student journalism gigs on one hand and comm academic shit on the other is very interesting because with the jam-packed life I live I only really get to breathe at like late lAAATE night when no one can bother me about my responsibilities other than myself. that being said that's also when creative brain goes into overdrive and now misfits finally has the final draft of its opening number woo

#so heres the thing kasi the opening number of that damn project hAS BEEN THE HARDEST TO WRITE #i believe at this point there had been morethan 10 drafts gjdjd because like heres the thing with that number specifically #misfits is a fourth wall breaky show within a show and the 5 narrators (and 1 misfit which i'll get to in a bit) knowingly perform #to appease the audience. hence the opening number throughout the years has reflected that - a performance that breaks the barrier between #audience and stage. even when misfits wasnt a show withjn a show concept this had always been the general treatment so that the audience #actually GETS whats happening - but i always come to changing it because well i also wanted to add foreshadowing factors: somehing that #suggests that the show isn't actually all that it seems. previous drafts had this show through the typical Tagalog - Real #and English - Scripted element in the show - language being used to determine authenticity. however that begs the question of how to #properly utilize the Misfits in the opening number - given that two of them dont know about the Show while the other is confused #and then at 2 am i remembered Hermes from Hadestown and boop a lightning bulb #instead of opting for opening numbers that had hints of sabotage or theatrical malfunctions that suggests that the show is Not What It Seems #i thought - why not have it 'malfunction' at the start and have it introduce the wrong character first 5 minutes before the Narrators come #so basically after the Producers (represented through um P.A. voices smth like that) welcome everyone - what is supposed to be the #introduction of the Narrators first ends up as the introduction of the 3rd Misfit (Zeke - 18 - nb) who appears genuinely lost #they appear genuinely in distress though they keep themselves composed at the realization that they are facing an Audience #and they Know this because he was formerly a Narrator as well - though at this point in the story nobody (bar one) knows that #they decide to take their time in chatting with the audience while charming them using their old Narrator tactics in order to get a grip on #whats going on - being a first step towards how involved the audience will be in the story as Zeke then goes to question them outwardly on #the morals of the story they expect and whether it is ethical to have children forcibly conform to religion in the first place #but they do so in an entertaining Bo Burnham manner - a way that doesnt catch people off guard until They Want To - because ayun he #plays by the rules of the show #this doesnt seem like the 'opening number' yet does it but im getting there fjd because once they sense that the narrators will be on stage #as a memento they teach them to sing a melody that will serve as Zeke's motif - something that will eventually scare the lead Narrator and #the Producers - because whenever the motif is sung it means that someone has Broken a Significant Part of the show #especially since the Motif was um lets say its from a now defunct show the Producers and Zeke and the Lead Narrator used to have #that melody will then be subtly present throughout the entire opening number of the Narrators - which will then be played straight #but with the Misfits make their pre-official-introduction appearances by forming the bridge of the opener using the Motif #thats when we learn of the show being compromised from the very start - especially with the lyrics of the motif expressing doubt in faith #personal shit (ran out of tags whoops but um yea basically its Have The Audience Have A Hint to Whats Going On Through Recognizable Motifs)#(also the motif the audience learns is a melody - Zeke (and the lead narrator) changes the lyrics as they go) (also sorry for the ramble)

#my mind has gone crazy since i haven't drawn him for a long time iwill pass away if this keeps going hte punishment is not working #i have to do my stupid ass thesis and i dont want to i hate doing personal projects for college it ruins everything #andn my face is going to be beside it literally the worst and i have to talk to an audience i will literally cry and forget everything #in the dream he didn't do anything remarkable. it was like an open world rpg #but i remember he had blue hair sometimes idk why. and we were using normal looking armor like level 1 armor leather boring #i said nothing remarkable because i didn't speak to him we were in different groups and they explored somewhere else i saw him for 14 seco #then i had to do puzzles and normal dream stuff for some reason i would use 4 weapons in the same battle i was stressed as shit #i was paired with just one person now that i remember but i don't know who it was i think i was trying to protect them or something #because they didn't do anything in battle #man i cant take this anymore i have to draw i have to draw i have to draw #and i couldn't use the feelings of the new update to draw because i was really stressed about college and AUGHII WANT TO DRAW;;;;#silly squeaking time

#ignore me #i'm just stressed out #the thing is. i made a decision a long time ago not to reblog posts with guilt-trips no matter how well intentioned #both for my own sake and bc i didn't want to be the one putting it on somebody's dash #especially after reading about how especially difficult guilt-trippy posts can be for e.g. ppl with ocd or smth similar #and that's all well and good in most cases when it's not directly tied to ppl's lives #but when it comes to this it does definitely feel like i don't have a leg to stand on since it so very much is people's lives at stake #and i don't feel like i have the moral highground to decide something like that #especially when - while they might affect people in a similar way to guilt-trips - they're not intentionally that #another one of my problems with sharing them on tumblr is that i don't have enough active followers for anything to reach a big audience #and i barely get notes anyway and these certainly don't get enough to get around #probably bc ppl are 1) overwhelmed and have already given money if they can #and 2) wary since they don't know which ones to trust #especially when the scam ones look so much like the real ones and idek how ppl know someone is qualified to verify a fundraiser #all 3 asks i've gotten have been vetted by the same account and it feels off #but the thought of not sharing when they've reached my inbox feels cruel #and it all just feels so lackluster when there are tens upon thousands of fundraisers needing to raise hundreds upon thousands of euros #and it just seems to lead to most of them getting a third of the way there #it's so much more organized with smth like project olive branch particularly on tt where a bigger creator focuses on one family at a time #bc it increases the chance of individual fundraisers meeting their goals #while this just feels like spreading sadness guilt and a lackluster feeling of hopelessness with barely any result #esp when most of the notes are 'reblogging bc i cant donate'#(also genuine question: where does the many go if a fundraiser doesn’t meet its goal? to gofundme the site??)#bc like. even if i put all of the money i own towards one fundraiser i wouldn't meet the goal #rn i donate monthly to doctors without borders in the hopes that the money actually goes to use #and i've donated to a few fundraisers but there are so. so. many. and i don't understand how you're supposed to CHOOSE #it's absolutely fucked up to have to sit there and think about which family you're going to give your money to #it's not like one family 'deserves' it more than another #they all fucking deserve the money! they all deserve to get out of there they all deserve to live their fucking lives FREE #idek what i'm doing here anymore i hope no one actually read this i just needed to get it out and my diary wasn't cutting it

this is a delight… obviously the production values aren’t the highest but many fun acting and staging choices here, especially the four evans, and i’m impressed that they managed to incorporate the anonymous ones and hiding in your hands without cutting songs

#is that legal? probably not but i doubt any other element of this is. think they also ripped some ywbf projections right from the movie #dear evan hansen #don't know spanish well enough to comment on most of the nuances of the translation but i can tell they cut some dialogue #e.g. the “nothing unrealistic” lines from sincerely me; the lines about dana p from evan and alana's act 1 conversation;#some of jared & evan's dialogue about the connor murphy memorabilia market; squip connor dissing jared;#alana offering jared the role of treasurer or secretary; “great idea evan” / “thank you jared” / “no sweat”;#cutting off sincerely me reprise after the first four lines??? and cutting some dialogue there and in the following heidi scene;#the lines about evan's dad in to break in a glove; evan and zoe joking about a kegger; “wonder of wonders miracle of miracles”;#heidi & cynthia & larry's wine discussion; the chicken milanese; the sulu/sula confusion; some of evan and heidi's pre-gfy fight;#alana's comment about evan dating zoe; a few lines in the scenes around for forever reprise and words fail; & the pottery barn discount #evan & jared's spanish project becomes an english project quite appropriately; heidi now says “fuck” after the gfy fight which i love #and zoe's line of “i didn't realize you were actually capable of saying something that wasn't nice” gets turned into #something that ends in “politically correct” instead of “nice” which is a fascinating change #don't love the audience laughter at the dialogue around the anonymous ones given that it's not supposed to be funny #but it sure does speak to the quality of that dialogue compared to the text of the original stage show #also there is clearly a tumblr post in the ywbf projections lmao. may make this the only version of the show to acknowledge tumblr

Thanks, I’m doing my best to feel better. I think I have an exit plan and a strategy for how I think the next so many years of my life are going to look, but it’s still a lot.

god. does anyone else ever think about the short phenomenon of inside job and utdr fans intermingling because deltarune chapter 2 and part 1 of inside job were so close in release date and target audience. like that was crazy
