I have no horse in this race, but I am kind of enjoying the lavender marriage angle a lot of SidLink shippers are going with. Mostly because it's above and beyond way better than a lot of the super sexist and hyper misogynistic vitriol that a certain portion of the LoZ fandom was spouting a few days ago.

But also, of course I am absolutely going to dig more queer headcanons!!!! I love this angle so much!!!!

Gimme more queer LoZ characters, I don't care how major or minor they are. I don't care if it's fanon or canon, either. If y'all wanna headcanon Yona as a lesbian, dude I am so fucking down you don't gotta convince me otherwise!!!!

Depicting the first, and last times Patton sees Roman in the arena

Ok, mandatory rant under the cut (and process pics!)

I had so much fun trying to nail the vibes, which is on par with all my illustrations lmao. I wanted a before and after, with the two Romans being mirror versions of the other. Despite being two different moments in time, its virtually the same pose! But with a shoulder shift and vastly different context.

The design stayed simple, I’m never one for overly detailed clothing or backgrounds, but I conveyed my point. And I’m not too strong on color yet, so keeping everything simple let me really explore the shading, lighting, and hell overall composition

My sketch to lineart process was pretty straightforward (tho still fun) but the coloring is where it got interesting

I wasnt really sure where to go? I knew i wanted something dramatic, and im a sucker for lighting, so i started with that. Ive been sketching with this specific blue so i started the lighting mockup in that, and got something really nice.

And then i kinda just. Incorporated that into everything. Roman himself is a palette of red and gold, and then the lineart evolved to be a more red hue of that blue sketch color. The background went purple, again to bridge the gap between that blue sketch and the red Roman.

Then I got stuck again, bc I loved that lighting mockup, but didn’t know how to re-make it with an actual color palette. The glory of overlay tho, meant i didnt have to! After that, it was playing around with shadows and highlights, and some good filters to get the electricity to pop. Plus one last layer of the light beams.

Im really proud of myself with the lighting tho! The way the shadows really let you know where the light source is, it looks really nice. And the way the colors all stayed in harmony, although i think the overlay did a lot of the heavy lifting

And fun fact! They’re phone background size :D

My prediction for the Robin Lives storyline: Jason will find out about the Lazarus Pit, and try to use it to heal his trauma.

That obviously will not work, so he'll go on a journey to find himself.

By the time he goes back to Gotham, Bruce will have taken on Tim as his protégé and given him an oracle-like role so he's not on the frontline. Jason, thinking that he's been replaced, will get pissed and take on a new persona, one that represents his greatest fear.

He'll become the Red Hood.

one thing i noticed about hc!false is that none of the other hermits seem to know about her....thing that's going on with e!false. now irl that's because it's her lore of course, not theirs. i don't really expect other hermits to majorly factor into the story she's creating. it's the same reason why moon big had such varied responses--the CCs were individually reacting to it in a way that they liked for their own creative direction

but that means that in-universe i am dying for some hermit to notice this and be like. false. bestie. WHAT is going on??? because i get the feeling she's keeping this secret from everybody, even her friends she's known for years. is she acting weird about it? do they try to question her why she has a doppleganger? how good has she been at hiding that Something Is Wrong. WHAT DO THEY THINK. this all gets really interesting to me if we assume this is part of her backstory, perhaps from before hermitcraft
