You and Connor had broken up months ago, and still avoided each other everyday like you were school children. Hank always complained, seeing as his desk was in-between yours and Connors and for the first week you both complained about each other to him.

Hank had been tired of it as soon as it began but he did like the two of you dating, at first you were good for each other and that's all you showed anyone until you broke up.

You stood, waiting for the elevator with your papers and folders in hand. It wasn't long before you heard the familiar ding and walked inside, the doors shutting behind you as you pressed the button for where you needed to be.

It was then that you noticed you were not alone in the lift. He stood quiet and serious as ever on the other side of the elevator, and you rolled your eyes. Of course he was here, he worked here too.

You nodded a small, polite hello to him which he returned as the elevator started moving. It seemed both of you were going down into the basement, you were taking some files down there and wondered what he was doing down there.

Suddenly, the elevator jumped, knocking you off balance. You dropped your paper and grabbed Connors' sleeve out of habit. His hands moved to hold you, resting on your waist. The elevator had stopped.

You turned to look at him, his eyes were already on you. Quickly, you took a step away from him and flattened your clothes down before crossing your arms.

"It stopped," Connor said, slightly panicked.

"Yeah no shit." You frowned.

Your breathing grew unstable as you spammed the call for assistance button. Your hands began to shake and you could hardly think as your heart beat louder in your ears.

Your eyes burned as tears threatened to spill. No one was coming and you were stuck underground. A cry choked in your throat and you began hyperventilating.

Everything was so loud in your ears but quiet in reality and you began to violently shake. You shut your eyes tight, biting your lip until you tasted blood as panic filled every fibre of your being.

Suddenly it was quiet and air began to return to your lungs. Your hands were soon on top of the arms around your waist and gripping the fabric of the sleeves.

Connor was holding you, his chest tight against your back and his chin resting on your shoulder. Whenever you had a panic attack before the break-up he would hold you like this and you still found comfort in it. You cursed yourself for finding comfort in him.

He lifted you off your feet and backed into a corner then sat the two of you down.

"It's okay," he cooed into your ear.

You looked over your shoulder at him, his soft brown eyes wide as he stared back. His cheeks lifted slightly as he smiled at you.

"I've got you," his words were so soft.

"Thank you," you muttered.

He nodded and rubbed your sides with the tips of his fingers. His grip was so comforting and you hated it.

"Let me go," you said, your voice soft.

"We both know you dont want that," he chuckled.

You pouted and leant back against him, comfortable in his grip. He rested his chin on your head and the two of you sat comfortably in silence for a shot while.

"Why did we ever even break up?" He spoke softly, as if he was thinking out loud.

"Because you were being the most judgemental, stubborn, workaholic person on the face of the earth and-,"

"Alright, I get the point." The two of you chuckled. "I miss us,"

You were quiet, a bitter taste in your mouth at his words.

"I would love to try again," his head moved to rest on your shoulder, close to your neck.

"I dont want to get hurt again." Your words were hard and cold.

"I cant make any promises but I can try harder," he pleaded.

You glanced his way, your eyes catching on his lips as you dragged your eyes away.

"I'm scared,"

"Do you still have feelings for me?" He asked.

You turned so that your side was against him so that you could look up to see him. You furrowed your eyebrows as you thought for a moment.

You did indeed still have feelings for him. They overwhelmed you with everything he did, each action pulling at your heart.

"Do you?" You responded.

"Of course I do,"

"I do too," you pursed your lips.

The elevator shifted, falling down slightly and you yelped, burying you face in his chest as you clung onto him.

His arms moved up around you, resting on your lower back and shoulder as he held you tight.

"Someone is on the way, don't worry," he assured you, rubbing your back.

"Don't let me go," you voice was muffled by his chest.

"I'm never going to let you go,"

The elevator jolted again, another yelp escaped your lips.

"I love you, so so much and I know I don't deserve another chance but if you let me try again I promise, I will be better for you. I just want to see you happy and I can't stand the thought of someone else making you happy."

"You're talking as if we're going to die!" You looked up at him.

"I know but I want you to know how I feel, and we avoid each other all the time it's like i dont exist to you anymore,"

"I'm sorry I've been so cold," you muttered. "I do love you too, with every breath and each beat of my heart."

He smiled. "Can we try again?"

"Only if you try,"

He nodded. He swore to himself that he would try harder, he would be better for you and will make you very happy.

The elevator jumped again and started slowly moving down. You were finally on your way down again.

"It seems we're saved," he smiled.

Before the elevator could stop, you pulled on Connors tie, jerking him towards you and pressed your lips against his. He moved into the kiss and gently placed his hand on your cheek.

The two of you were still kissing as the elevator dinged and the doors opened. Someone cleared their throat and you looked round to see Hank, smirking with his arms crossed. He leant lazily on a desk and raised his eye brows upon seeing the two of you.

You scrambled to your feet and pat down your clothes, removing any dust. Connor was soon stood next to you, offering you your papers that you had dropped earlier.

He placed a soft kiss on your temple before rushing off to do whatever he had to do. You stood there dazed, staring at Connor as he walked away.

"Hello Hank," you smiled.

"I knew you two would work it out," he grinned, soon walking away.

wrestling opinions

i got so extremely GRUMPY in the last two months even THINKING about that specific section of the iwc that was so adamantly fantasy booking swerve to lose to ospreay at all in (or even before wembley!) that i haven’t been in the mood to fantasy book feuds for swerve during his reign, or think about who will be the one to end it. but now that things are safe, i wanna get into some of all that!!

potential to take the title off him:

hangman. ok listen i see the people going “i dont want swerve’s reign to be all about hangman :/” and i hear love and respect you but i am not that strong. i know theyve already wrestled half a dozen times. they need to do it again and they need to fight forever and they need to be put into a dysfunctional tag team against their will a la adamjf and swerve needs to ask where hangman’s wedding ring went and hangman needs to ask what swerve’s necklace with the letter “A” means and i need them to make out sloppy style in the middle of the ring. anyway where was i. oh yeah the fantasy booking. so okay if hangman wins the owen, he faces off against swerve in wembley. wembley’s too soon for swerve to lose the belt, but, all in 2023 ended on a happy note maybe all in 2024 should end on a BAD note where half the fans go home pissed off. if that’s the case then i need hangman to do some real scumbag heel shit before that time. if hangman loses at wembley, i can still see him coming back AGAIN another few months down the line, maybe having a little redemption arc before, and finally beat him.

bryan danielson. here’s the only actual prediction in this entire post: i think if bryan wins the owen, he wins the title off swerve (against his will lol) and he loses it to swerve again in a rematch at wrestledream.

eddie kingston. FUCKING hell. i genuinely felt they were building to him being a serious title contender sometime in the not-so-far future when he lost all three of his belts in quick succession. i am so sad that he got injured. i am still holding out hope that he takes the belt off swerve somewhere way far down the line.

feuds that seem fun:

moxley. i may die if i never see them feud properly. though i don’t want mox near the world title and swerve absolutely doesn’t need the put-over-by-moxley treatment, so this one would maybe be more fun *after* he loses the title.

orange cassidy. fuck should i move this one to the first category? i dont really see him as a serious title contender but maybe i should?

jay white. pleaaase this would be so fun.

wheeler yuta. i am smushing my faves together like barbie dolls in my head and no one can stop me.

keith lee. praying to whatever god is listening that he is healthy enough one day.

thekla. au where swerve becomes an idol (barely an au tbh he’s halfway there) and together with nana he’s out of control with the hand signals and the dances so someone calls up the idol killer.

More jj maybank headcannons and stuff

I feel like a great fic idea would be for jj to be brought in by cps and his grandma has to move back to the obx - except she is super mean to him about it (ex: "I woulda never had to be back to this ol' shit hole if it wasn't for you, boy" i dont think she would be physical, but she would hold a grudge against his family and at BEST be indifferent to him) also for this fic I think jj would be like 13 or so and due to his young age and experience, I don't think he would be skilled at hiding his fear or emotion from her yet - would be interesting to see him young and I'm a different setting and would work to solidify his distrust for adults

If you couldn't tell, I am obsessed with jj, BUT, I am also obsessed with Zach Bryan. Soooo I think that a song fic or fic loosely inspired by nine ball by zach bryan would be really good. You could make Luke be upset if jj doesn't make a certain amount of money during a game (or from something else) so jj has to pull out tricks or cheap shots, just like how in the song it says "I know this table's got a lean". Otherwise, I have seen other pics MUUUCH DARKER,but with the same-ish premises

I think that jj having a younger cousin/siblings or a pet that he has to protect from his dad would be heartbreaking, especially if his dad hurt the pet beyond fixing

This is not cannon at all, but I love the idea of the maybank house being so small that jj's room leads into the bathroom (like where you need to go into his room the get to the bathroom) that means that anytime Luke needs to shower or use the bathroom, he sees jj and his room. Even better if the sink is part of the room too.

Luke neglects jj a lot and they don't have a ton of money, so I think that jj probably went through a long hair phase when he was younger (which would be do cute, but also awful, Luke would call him a pussy and stuff for his long hair and he could grab it and hurt or throw him) maybe his mom also liked to play with his hair so he wanted it long or something

I want to see the missing scene from the first season. In the episode where he mentions jj just wanting ro leave cause he got his face beat in and says he's gonna end up just like his dad. I want john b to realize what he missed (like what jj's dad is like and that jj got his face beat in from his DAD!!). I want to see a big scene where he apologizes and really does a gooood job of being a friend to jj

Jj mentions a lot abt not trusting cops and stuff, so I think there should be a fic about different times where Luke told him why he shouldn't trust them. I just want to see a bunch of Luke lying and manipulating (like most abusers). Also I want to see the aftermath and internal struggle that he has, bc he still thinks it even as he grows up

Reviews Pt 1

so like as a huge book worm I kinda wanna do reviews on the two most recommended cobylu fanfics ive gotten. ill start with the one that was named first aka The Sun and The Sea by @stygianheart ! I doubt anyones gonna see this so im mostly doing it for myself but still!

honestly i think i would give this fic an 8/10. it’s a very funny concept, coby being “kidnapped” by luffy and i think the author did it splendidly! the chapters are long and the plot isnt too complex but it also doesnt JUST resolve around romance between coby and luffy. theres the whole trafficking ring plot thats seriously engaging and thrilling and feels well thought out. the author is a pro at writing angst too apparently, i read their other fic (a zolu one!) and i dont think ive ever cried so hard. chapter 10 of tsats also made me cry as well. because of this it makes sense that while tsats is meant to be funnier its still not exactly a comedy or as hilarious as okiedokies fanfic. theres also two other important characters besides coby and luffy. a oc corpsman bryan and the canon character helmeppo. bryan and helmeppo also get their own povs, and while i dont really like ocs being major characters in fanfics, something about bryan just stole my heart. and his zosan coded relationship with helmeppo is just priceless! i do wish the author wasnt on a hiatus though. author-san should take their time of course, but that cliff hanger on chapter ten left me in shambles because whats gonna happen next?!!!

i dont know how many cobylu fans will see this but you should definitely read tsats! its definitely underrated with like only 780 kudos when its been out for months now. i hope that whenever author comes back with a new chapter that the likes and comments will have skyrocketed!!!! and maybe even art. i hear that fanart of a fanfic is like one of the highest honors and tsats definitely deserves that. and it might even give author-san motivation! to sum it up, its a great fic with an amazing concept thats so far being treated just right. really!!! go read it!!!!

my reasons are below

Starting with zero hour

Dante vs beast mortos vs kommander vs buddy: I’m going with Brady mortos because my boy needs some wins especially now that’s he’s with LFI and Jake just traded lance for the whole group. We can’t let the whole faction look like shit and Jake look like an old fool. Plus with the taven and kingdom storyline of them wanting him back with them it makes him look better to be a winner on his own. They can use him losing with lfi but winning here alone as a just argument for why he should lfi and come back to the undisputed kingdom. I think tk will have buddy win because hob is losing later in the night and this was his consolation prize.

Qt marshal vs big boom: I do not care about this in all honesty I am not the target audience but I will say based on audience reception it should be the boom guy. Also QT should never win anything as a matter of fact.

Deonna vs anna: I can see they’re building Anna up I get that and I love that for her which is why if she wins I won’t be mad but I think she should lose here to give her a story and feud to focus on while they get the other two belts and storylines settled before putting her back on the path for the tbs or world title pictures.

Private party vs hob vs outrunners vs acclaimed: private party fought for too fucking long to be taken seriously and get this gold and so far have not been involved at all in their own fucking story. In fact they still don’t actually have one the focus has continued to be on acclaimed and I get it most likely caster is gonna fuck up and they will finally FINALLY break up same for ftr turning on outrunners but private party are our champs and deserve to shine. After tonight they need to be focused on and showcased not jay backstage but in the ring. If you have to get cmll and new Japan tag teams to come over and give them a weekly match. Showcase new talent and our current champs.

Strong vs mjf: it’s mjf if anyone is gonna get to put him down it’ll be cole. I’m still very confused how he’s the badguy but Roddy and Cole aren’t. They’re all terrible but focusing solely on this situation max is absolutely the victim and they are the bad guys.

Swerve vs Bobby: bobby just came in and has the team behind him it makes complete sense for bobby to win this and I will not be mad about that. I know I said I’m focusing on story but I’m a lying liar who lies and I want swerve to win because he’s hot and deserves to pin me I mean his opponents.

Will vs Kyle: another one that they are building up Kyle this makes the most sense and it should absolutely be Kyle winning. The reason I put the purple on will is because with the storyline about his kid and wife I kinda feel like the good guy almost has to win now unless it’s still building which in that case run this back for worlds end.

Jack vs Daniel: Daniel has spent years in a push and stop climb to the top. Give him the fucking belt already. They didn’t pull the trigger for him during the Bryan storyline and I truly think besides everything with Pepsi that will go down in history as the worst decision aew ever made. And unlike every other bad booking decision they can’t blame it on injuries signings ratings audience or nothing it was just a horrible fucking decision. Fix it now give him the fucking belt you dont need to make him a loser to make him fight harder and make us cheer harder just give it to him. It’s tk and I don’t trust him to not just keep it on jack as his own apology for the Pepsi situation.

Jay vs hangman: give it to jay even if he cheats even if the gunns come back and give hanger their lick backs for his attack on them give it to jay. Hanger is unhinged he’s lost in the fire of anger and hate and revenge and losing especially losing to someone like jay who neeeeeeever let’s him live it down jay who has always had adams number this will be delicious torture. And because I want this so badly I think tk is gonna keep it from me but hey at least jay is finally on the show proper not just zero hour.

Mox vs Orange: it needs to be mox I get orange being champion is a feel good moment but we already did that with Bryan and sting. If we focus on story it makes way more sense for this to break orange somehow and mox retains and blood orange is what’s left of Cassidy (especially if somehow they hurt wheeler and blame it on orange like we had to do this cause of you look how terrible of a person/friend you are that winning a match mattered more than your former sons safety.) This also gives his friends the conglomeration a chance to do what the dark order couldn’t for hanger and that’s save him from himself. I can also see darby challenging next with the excuse that’s he’s unkillable (and give someone else a chance to earn tks special keep darby off Everest bonus check)

some thoughts lately or a diary or whatever

i am lonely and my roommate bryan is the only person i know who somewhat shares my nerdy interests and he's moving out soon. i'm moving in with some acquaintances i met via my local bar but the reason they're acquaintances is because i have basically nothing in common with them so i doubt i'll have as satisfying a relationship with them even once we do get to know each other. i've always had a difficult time relating to other people and really getting close to them and i'm thinking this may play a big part in why.

i like anime such select and specific anime that i'm not sure i can accurately say "i like anime". the people i know who like anime usually like naruto/one piece, that kind of thing, and it's usually more of a passive interest for them. but then, you have the people who LIKE like anime, and they tend to be a little too weird for me to vibe with, not that there's anything wrong with the weirdness, i just end up not fitting in with them either. i'm at this weird point where i'm very socially "normal" but have interests that are very different from socially normal people? and those interests are what i spend most of my time thinking about, so growing closer via conversation about anything else can be difficult, as i frankly just don't know much about most topics, and am reluctant to speak when i'm not confident about my relevant knowledge.

so yeah i dont really know what i'm hoping for, am i hoping to meet my similar-interest dream girl who doesn't exist and even if she did the likelihood of ever a) encountering each other and b) encountering each other in such a way that shows we have things in common is basically nonexistent. i think that's maybe a silly thought process as that's not really how things work and it doesn't necessarily need to be a romantic relationship anyways.

oh yeah and i'm not doing makeup or eyeliner any more and i cut off my hair so now its short and brown and i look like an average 5-6-7 if were being generous white dude like i used to. i was really tired of being perceived as gay by seemingly everyone at a glance. but i'm definitely regretting it a little bit, looking in the mirror for that approximate year always made me so happy. i constantly would look at myself in my snapchat camera and take pictures and feel confident and such. now i kind of hate looking at myself and it was weird breaking the habit of constantly looking at my snapchat camera because of the negative emotions it caused. i was just feeling miserable one day and was so desperate for any kind of change that i cut my hair off, lol. i talked with my doctor about it and the idea that i could potentially have bipolar depression came up. which, looking at my past actions such as: quitting jobs, getting a nonsensical divorce from my loving partner of 10 years, moving to rochester, starting estrogen.......... maybe there's something to that lol. if any of my bpd homies read this let me know what u think im looking at u m if u get this far or check my blog lol

but yeah reading over this myself maybe i should go back to the eyeliner lol. i realized that i really like cute things. i like kirby and girl characters in video games and bla bla bla. i like cute things and i think it felt nice to be a cute thing. unfortunately i just don't know if the social niche it gave me was productive towards my end goal of finding a romantic partner. its got me thinking, once i have money again (oh yes i am extremely broke,,, i start my new job on august 12), how SHOULD i present myself if i want to work towards that goal? presenting in general is such a fascinating thing its like... you decide how you want others to perceive you, what notions theyre going to have. i dont know i dont really get it.

My personaly is very much a rubber ball; will and can bounce around unpredictabily(As a child I was diagnosed with being Bipolar and to have ADHD), but majorit of the time, I look like a man in his 30's that only drinks either whiskey or coffee(and so ive been told in the hot way(ngl)), im not one be patience with people that waste my time and I have not patience for people that waste my friends time, I am very loyal and I find I can be very protective of my friends and if they're being mistreated I do get angred by this(I wanted one person D*ad for using my best friend for her own fun), but under my scary(Not my words) appearence, im actually very nice and easy to talk to.

My aesthetic is mainly a grungy cottage core like look with a few really bring vintage marvel shirts I stoll from my dad.

When Im looking for a relationship, I want someone that can keep up with me, cause sometimes I can be very all over the place and sometimes I like to just drift along, I want someone that is willing to learn things from me while I can learn things from them, and I search for loyalty in someone, not just to their partner but to their friends as well.

You always imagined your college years would be lonely and studious, in high school you didn’t care for parties or clubbing and fake id’s, so that wouldnt change in college, right? Well burnout is real and now you were about to graduate from your bachelors and all you wanted was to have fun. You werent focused on your future right now, its saturday night for christs sake, you just wanted to get wasted with your besties. 

Mina, your ride or die, was on speaker while you picked out an outfit for the night, gossiping about the past couple days. Nothing was new, you guys talked everyday about other peoples dirt, but something about it was just wrong enough to be fun. “Wait so are you wearing your black boots or your brown ones?” you asked, not wanting to accidentally match, or match at all. Please, you guys aren’t 13 with matching shit from claires, yall are mature now- you match vibes and colors. “I’m wearin’ my black ones, they match my fringe jacket. Imma wear those with some like shorts and that one like blue crochet top- have I shown you that one?” she was rummaging through her closet as she spoke. “Oh yeah you wore it last week right? To the party at delta kappa?” “Yeah!! I thought it’d be cute tonight, what’re you wearing?” Her crackly voice asked. “If i can find it, that little yellow dress, the one with the beaded straps. I heard some of the guys from calc are coming! Like the guys that sit over by the window!” You giggle a bit. It’s stupid and theyre definitely no good, but what the hell. After both outfits were completed, y’all had a little facetime to double check how yall looked together and when everything was perfect, you both headed to meet up outside, then driving in mina’s car to the bar. Blasting Country girl by luke bryan and singing at the top of your lungs out the sunroof. You loved mina, she was your number one, the bestie of all besties. Being around her made you happy, you guys just clicked like sisters. Some people brag about their lifelong friendships or how many friends they have, but this was enough. 

Pulling into the brewery’s parking lot, mina squealed at the boys big red f1-50 thats always parked outside their infamous frathouse. Fratboys are bad news nad theyre definitely gonna ruin you and break your heart, but you didn’t care right now. Living is about loving so hard, and hurting even harder so love becomes that much sweeter. So being 21 with your best friend, swooning over slutty frat boys from your calc class you were failing, you needed to keep that rush while it lasted. You basked in the adrenaline and got drunk off the giggling, knowing that in 5 years this will all be a fun story. Tldr: you love living life. 

YOu guys loved this place, youve been dancing here for a good while now. They had line dancing every saturday and that was you two’s escape. You guys set aside bits of your paychecks to pitch in for drinks and snacks, it was a whole ordeal. Mina was already at the bar, trying to get wasted cus it was your week to drive home. You headed out to the floor, following the people already dancing. Through the spins and stomps, you looked for the infamous boys and then you see their hair. Most all of them had bright hair, mina was already eyeing the redhead with her drink nearly gone. To your surprise, he looked at her back, grinning like a devil. You might be driving home alone tonight, heres to hoping shes still on her birth control and that he has condoms. You grinned and kept dancing, getting lost in the music and the familiar steps, the skirt of your dress just long enough to cover everything when you twirl. 

Its around 10 when mina stumbles over to you, clinging to kirishima and his long red hair. Her lipstick smeared and the redhead’s lips noticeably red, they were banging tonight, good for her! “Be careful hun, use a condom and call me if you need me keep me posted!!!” you shouted over the music to her as she left, his hand on her ass. Wow. after three years, she finally did it. Planning out tonight in your head as you left after that song. You can drive her car to the dorms then walk to yours- perfect. You headed to the bar to get a soda, seeing one of the guys lounging against the chairs. He wasnt really smart, like you hes just here for a good time. His bright yellow hair nearly hurt your eyes, but you walked towards him, changing your mind. He looked like sin, he looked like lust, his shirt was unbuttoned just enough to see his chest and his sleeves were rolled up. His arms were pretty and his hands were hot- fuck you wanted to take him home. 

“Can i buy you somethin’ babe?” He smirked at you, you swear you felt something shock you like static. “What do you think i should have?” you responded, the music coming back in with electric guitars and harsh drums. It was getting hotter, you were sure of it. “Booze, i wanna take you home” he stood up straight and made sharp eye contact with you, “unless you wanna drive me home like youre driving me crazy.” you walked towards him as he pushed his hair back. “Fuck, i know youve seen yourself- you cant do that to a guy.. You cant tell how hot you are,” words were spewing from his mouth before he knew what they even meant. He was turned on, this is all hes waited for. You didnt remember, but he did, you guys had classes together freshman and sophomore year. Hes had a massive crush on you, just like mina had on kirishima, maybe tonight was just the night to fall in love. 

You cant deny it, hes really cute and pretty hot- youve eyed him a couple times at parties, but he was always messing around with other girls. Kaminari is well known for his one night stands, and youre known for listening to rumors. Youve heard about him, now you wanted to see what hes really like.

last year's bcc vs elite feud was so juicy... so interesting and fun.. i loved every beat of it

now i love the CONCEPT of evps vs team aew and i love the bucks' current gimmick but the execution of the storyline stinks. theyve replaced the only interesting guy on the team b/c of injury with a guy who was injured just a few weeks ago and apparently still isnt 100%. ive actively grown to hate bryan danielson (sorry). i have already bitched enough about ftr on this blog

i just want all the guys i like back already. yuta and mox and hangman. i feel like this whole feud just constantly has me go okay soon these guys will be back and things will be good actually. but its radio silence on hangman and nobody knows what moxs deal is and obviously yuta needs more time off. not hating on the performers btw (please take as much time off as you need forever and always) i just want characters involved here that are actually likeable.............
