It's already known that in Sonic Frontiers the Ancients piloting the Titans are supposed to parallel Sonic and his friends, (based on how they act/what they do, and even their voices), it's obviously intentional since each of Sonic's friends parallels the pilot from the Island they were stuck on (Amy– Giganto, Knuckles– Wyvern, Tails– Knight; and then Sonic as Supreme's pilot)
But doesn't that make the gang Soulmates in a way? (Though ig it's more soulmates like the Elements of Harmony than straight up reincarnation)
I'm just so intrigued by the implications of this (Especially since I'm not expecting it to ever get addressed) What are the odds, right? That the Ancients who lived like millions of years ago would just happen to have a group of four heroes who have relatively similar personalities to the four heroic friends who are living now and are heavily involved with the Chaos Emeralds that the Ancients brought to this planet.
Did the Cyberspace put Amy, Knuckles and Tails on those specific islands because it sensed their connection to the respective Titans? Did the Chaos Emeralds somehow orchestrated the fact that each of them was not only born, but specifically born in the image of those pilots? Like what does this all meeeeean.

Note
what if the rest of the lucina gang got sent to hoshido/nohr
Oh, bby girl you can't enable me like this...
Okay so, for balancing reasons you'd have to split the kids 50/50 so we need both Morgan's and some starting classes would have to be changed.
Hoshido
F!Morgan - Deviner/Skyknight
M!Morgan - Samurai/Sorcerer
Cynthia - Skyknight/Cavalier
Noire - Archer/Deviner
Kjelle - Spear master/Knight
Brady - Monk/Trubadour
Yarne - Apothecary/Taguel
F!Morgan gets deviner and M!Morgan gets Samurai because in their offical art M!Morgan was holding a sword and F!Morgan is holding a tome. Kjelle get's spear master because she starts with spears. I don't know why I chose Apothecary for Yarne, it just felt right. F!Morgan having Skyknight as her Heart Seal class is based on her heroes class being dark flier. Noire having deviner is in reference to her mother's class, deviner and not sorcerer because she's stated to be unskilled at dark magic. Yarne gets his base Taguel class back by heart sealing into it.
Nohr
Laurent - Sorcerer/Apothecary
Lucina - Mercenary/Spear master
Gerome - Wyvern rider/Ninja
Nah - Wyvern rider/Manakete
Inigo - Mercenary/Ninja
Severa - Mercenary/Skyknight
Owain - Sorcerer/Samurai
Nah gets wyvern rider because she's a dragon and I think that woulds be funny. Also I think Laurent should be able to wear the slutty sorcerer fit, I think it would be funny. Mercenary is the only Nohrian class that starts with swords so that's what Lucina gets she ger spear master because lords get lances on promote in Awakening. I feel like Ninja fits Gerome personality wise.
I think only the original trio would be retainers to the royals everyone else would be doing something different. I think the Morgan's would be Azura's equivalent of Flora/Felicia. Twins who serve as Azura's maids/bodyguards which would also make them neutral units. Cynthia would be a Skyknight stationed at the capital. I can see her being an early recruit in Birthright, like she joins you when you first leave the capital. I think Noire and Kjelle would all also be early game recruits while Yarne and Brady would be mid game recruits.
I actually think Nah and Gerome would be Neutral units serving in Cheve. They get auto recruited in birthright/revelations but need to be recruited in conquest by having one of the Awakening kids talk to them. It would be on the same map where you get Charlotte and Benny. It would also give the Awakening units two neutral units per nation. Laurent would join you after one of Corrin's returns to Krakenburg, best time I think would be when they get sent to the rainbow sage. Lucina I can also see being recruited durring the seven fold sanctuary map, perhaps having been sent a head by Xander.
This would also give five more child units for the male characters.
M!Morgan's child would have to have their own version of "Time to tip the scales!" and "Time to even the odds!" I think their gimmick would be remembering what happened in Heir's of Fate and have the starting class of ninja.
Yarne I can see having a child unit that's the complete oppisite of him, bold and reckless who gives him no end of heart attacks. staring class of Oni Savage
Laurent's child unit would be a detective, trying to solve mysteries like Miriel but rather then being a scientist they do dective work. The best starting class for that would be outlaw with Ninja for a heart seal class.
Brady's child unit would be a 'Sukeban' a sterotypical japanese female deliquent. But one who's quite skilled at the more 'high class' activities. Basically Brady but with the Japanese aesthetic and cultural influences because she'd be a Hoshiden unit
Gerome, child unit who has a wyvern named Maria. I think they would have conflict with Gerome baced on being in the deep realm. "I'd rather see you less often as you grew up rather than be stories for you to hear." vs. "I would have been satisfied with stories of you if it meant not being alone." A follow on from "I didn't want heroes I wanted my parents."
I also think they would have a mechanic where if you fight one of the Awakening kids with another they won't defeat each other but will leave each other at 1hp/they will miss any attack that would defeat them.
Oh and Noire would defiantly be able to S support Hayato and have unique dialogue with Rahjat

okay more fire emblem au thoughts, some characters I’ve thought through, this time “notable starting members of the resistance”:
as I said, tfc is our jaegen. he’s actually an older war veteran, and in his supports and storyline it becomes clear that when he was much younger, he joined the fight to protect the country, but quickly became disillusioned with the war, and after it killed most of his men, he managed to force his way into retirement. now, though, on being approached by the leaders of a resistance fighting to end the war and being taken in by their promises, he’s reluctantly picked up arms for one last attempt to regain his ideals. he’s as surprised as anyone else when zedaph appears; the things he heard from the clergy who used to be assigned to his unit had started to make him think… well, it doesn’t matter. this is something good he can do, and perhaps they’ll manage to finally prevent the bloodshed. still, he warns: violence often begets more violence…
xisuma is a nobleman from a family stripped of most of their titles. despite the suspicious way “man stripped of his titles leads a coup” looks, he’s actually quite obviously a bit of an idealist. once he no longer had his land and titles to fall back on, he quickly realized how the average man is suffering, and intends to force the throne to recognize that fact. despite his natural leadership skills, on his own he’s often a surprisingly anxious or even naive man. it doesn’t come across until you get to know him more closely, though. he doesn’t actually join the party until later in the game, but like, OBVIOUSLY he’s an armor knight. axes and lances, defensive tank.
joe hills is the official right hand of the resistance. he’s a mage of some ability, if not renown. a lot more cynical and realistic than xisuma, nonetheless he’s the sort of person that assumes everything will go wrong, but constantly fights to have it go right. he met xisuma through an old commander they both worked under, and while that commander did not join the resistance and indeed seems to have some bad blood with them, joe followed xisuma anyway. joe is an anima mage with some ability to wield staves and promotes into a troubadour-type class.
cleo is a former priestess from the other side of the war. she doesn’t talk much about what she did there, but she’ll happily talk about how her loyalties are still to her own country - listen, the resistance is doing a coup. that’s good for her. the fact that she hasn’t been home is immaterial. sharp, sarcastic, and intimidating, it can be easy to miss that she does in fact actually care deeply for the cause, and looks at zedaph with the sort of soft, shattered wonder that can only come from someone from a country that, according to the local propaganda, was so disloyal as to drive its dragons away. cleo is a wyvern rider who wields axes and magic.
I also want to throw in hypno and keralis to round out the early-season gang as the resistance here but I don’t have good roles for them in mind so I will continue thinking and will take suggestions. maybe one of them is our early archer?

Note
You're touring Jugdral. On the last day it snows heavily, so you're practically locked in with a bunch of people you last visited. They said they would try their best to help you get home as soon as possible, though, so at least there's that but the bad weather makes the day a long boring one.
a) Playing board games with the Chalphies, as Sigurd promises to send you back to your time machine on horseback.
b) Reading with the Nordions, because Eldigan says he's sending knights to drag your time machine back to the castle so you don't need to brave the harsh weather. Of course it will take time however.
c) Chatting with Leonster gang, because Quan is confident enough with the country's court mages being able to distort time to send you back. He said they have done this before, but performing the spell takes a lot of preparations so you have to be patient. The downside is Dorias and August may wrap you into politics-related subjects.
c) Indoor sporty activities with Thracians. This means sparring, taming a wyvern, you name it. Travant surprisingly says he can actually fix your time machine because the harsh living conditions there drive them to be as self-sufficient as they can. The problem is, you're probably not much of a knight compared to an average Thracian squire...
d) Chatting with Velthomer conspirators gang. They are great at magic, so Arvis and Manfroy can practically send you back with a flick of their fingertips. The problem here is that they want to be satisfied, and they want philosophical conversations with you. You already feel balding the moment Aida asks if it's chicken first or egg first, and at this point you wonder whether you're their guest or their hostage.
e) The Dandelion gang offers to build you another machine. They know a great hermit and powerful mage, and they said this isn't the first time for said elder to help a person who wishes to do a little time-cruising to fix a situation. The problem is they want a grand payment from you, and sparing a kidney you don't know what you can give them.
f) The Fiana Freeblades are sympathetic with your plight. Nobody really understands what the heck you mean by a time machine, but Eyvel quickly catches up when you basically say "haha teleportation go brrr" or something to the effect of. They don't have preconditions and whatnot, except seriously asking why do you need to go back if at all when the rural village life is peaceful and Nature is kind enough there that you won't run out things to eat. You find the invitation hypnotic...
g) The Jungby doesn't hesitate to help you. Edain is eager to help you, and even if they don't really understand the concept of time machine and who Einstein actually is, "it's high magic" is enough to get her pumped. She says their extensive library of magic must have something useful to help you, if only you would be patient and wait because with the bad weather and raging snowstorm outside they cannot go out to gather the herbs. You don't doubt Edain. It's just Andrei and his equally bowl-cut fringe of a son Scorpio have been all hovering around you, making snide comments, and generally being a Richard despite their names. They suspect you as a spy-whatever trying to charm your way into the duchy, and probably elope with one of the twins. Their claim is contested. Andrei makes an off-handed comment about poison. You get goosebumps hearing that.
So your choice, your fate...
Going from worst to best:
E - I'm not sure where I would even get money to give to the Dandelion gang. That would be strange.
D - I can tell I wouldn't agree with their philosophies, so talking philosophy with them would drive me up the wall. (This is assuming that Arvis would control Manfroy and not kill me solely for disagreeing with him. I mean, what benefit would he get from killing some person who is never going to gain power?)
C (2) - In honesty I wouldn't survive any of those indoor sports activities. The one benefit is that maybe I could build some sort of friendship with Travant if he finds that my failures at sport are funny.
G - I'm sure I could survive being trailed by Andrei and Scipio, but it wouldn't be pleasant...
C (1) - Actually, I thought this one would be my favorite at first. After thinking about it more though, I'm not sure how much I would enjoy a long-winded conversation with Dryas and August. It would probably bore me eventually.
F - Staying in Fiana sounds nice enough but I'm not sure if the right choice is to stay there forever.
B - The Nordions are probably reasonable enough to leave me alone, but I can't say certainly because who knows how the court is there.
Which leaves as my choice...
A - Playing board games with Sigurd (and Byron) would probably be fun. Who knows, maybe I'd even beat them.

Tumblr media
Venom - The amazing Spider Man: Lethal Foes
Balbars - Knights of the Round
Tumblr media
Wyvern - King of Dragons
Tumblr media
Onihime e Yasha - Streets of Rage
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
BALBAROTCH (CONE HEAD) - UNDERCOVER COPS
Blood - Captain Commando
Tumblr media
Kai Bataar - Warriors of Fate
Tumblr media

idk how the plot will work but for now. here's everyone's strengths and weaknesses and ideal classes (also fuck gendered classes you don't need a pussy to ride a pegasus.) (also god i hope the colors thing works or else this will be unreadable)
ada:
head of the "house", fukuzawa: sword. obviously. i wanna say one of those hidden strengths i forgot the name of in reason. authority. heavy armor. flying. ideal as a mortal savant but that's kinda wack so it's better to make him an assassin who specializes in swords
i forgot. the word. for second in command. but. kunikida: lance. riding. heavy armor. authority. reason. good as a holy knight (which ik is considered bad but i have a soft spot for it) or great knight
ranpo: faith. reason. brawl. axe. lance. honestly he would be ideal as a bishop or warlock. let him attack from afar and not try too hard
yosano: faith, obviously. reason (dark magic, to make it spicy). riding. no weaknesses bc we need someone like that in every "house". excellent gremory or valkyrie
tanizaki: bow. budding talent (i think that's the word for the hidden one??) in lance. faith. axe. ideal as a bow knight or just keep him as a sniper. bonus: if you decide to teach him reason, he also gets dark magic
kenji: brawl. axe. heavy armor. reason. bow. he was the easiest one so far obvious he's a war master
dazai: sword. reason (dark). budding talent in faith. flying (trust me bro). brawling. axe. heavy armor. he was meant to be a trickster so badly. he needs to wear a clown outfit it's only fair. ig a dark flier can work too tho
atsushi: brawl. lance. faith. flying. bow. reason. great war monk. can be a holy knight if you wanna
kyouka: SWORD. bow. riding bc i think she'd love horses. brawling. axe. authority. awesome assassin. possibly a falcon knight who specializes in swords or bow knight
pm:
head of the "house", mori: faith. reason (dark). authority. easy. lance. axe. brawling. ideal as a gremory or dark bishop. trickster if you wanna get spicy with it.
second in command, kouyou: sword, flying, authority. brawl, bow, faith. please make her a falcon knight i think it'd be hot
chuuya: brawl. axe. budding talent in faith. no weaknesses. war master or war monk but he has great speed growth so you could easily make him an assassin if you really want to
akutagawa: bow. reason (dark). flying. brawl. axe. authority. dark flier but he could pull off dark knight i think (it already looks like his rashomon armor)
higuchi: flying. faith. bow. sword. she's a bit of a wildcard like that. reason. heavy armor. honestly I'm imagining her like petra, where she can do almost everything so may as well go feral but you should probably put her on a wyvern or pegasus with a bow in her hands
gin: sword. bow. easy. faith. reason. riding. obviously she is an assassin
tachihara: brawl. axe. i promise I'm not just biased bc he shares an english va with caspar. budding talent in sword (you know why 🤫). riding. reason. make him a war master or wyvern rider
hirotsu: reason. faith. riding. axe. heavy armor. brawl. make him a gremory or dark flier who also heals
q: REASON (dark ofc). bow. authority. axe. faith. brawl. dark flier or valkyrie or just dark bishop really is good
kajii: bow. flying. budding talent in reason. faith. sword. authority. another wildcard but you should probably put him on a wyvern with a bow or make him a dark flier (i think he'd like flying above the battlefield throwing fireballs)
ok. not doing the guild or other organizations for now (doa/rats as sewer gang, hunting dogs + government guys as the church, guild as the remaining "house") i might add these in another reblog along with a possible plot idea or like what's the deal and why we're all here etc
hope you liked it and it wasn't too much 🫡 if you have hotter takes for those i already posted, or ideas for future characters I'll talk abt, or plot ideas etc, feel free to join me in brainstorming!!
eyes snap open violently. i need to make another au

‘Aight gang, given your positive reaction, I’m gonna reincarnate characters from FE13-15 into Fodlan and include them as background characters in the stories I’m working on. Here’s the whole list
Alm - He’s the Gatekeeper, ‘nuff said. His heart does go doki doki whenever that cute redhead Priest is around though. He’s 21 years old at the start of the game.
Celica - She’s a Priest who works at Garreg Mach Monestry. She always makes sure to say hello to the friendly Gatekeeper at least once per day. She’s 21 years old at the start of the game.
Gray - A Myrmidon working in Jeralt’s company and helps Jeralt on his missions. He’s 22 years old at the start of the game.
Tobin - A Soldier working in Jeralt’s company and helps Jeralt on his missions. He’s 23 years old at the start of the game.
Faye - A Fighter working in Jeralt’s company and helps Jeralt on his missions. She’s 20 years old at the start of the game.
Kliff - A Monk working in Jeralt’s company and helps Jeralt on his missions. He’s 19 years old at the start of the game.
Chrom - He’s a Minor Noble from the Leister Alliance who just recently took control after his sister was grievously injured. He hopes to be able to help his people. He’s 24 years old at the start of the game.
Cordelia - A highly talented Pegasus Knight. She was once Chrom’s retainer, but after years of harboring feelings for him, her friends convinced her to confess to the blue haired noble. A confessions that Chrom happily accepted. She’s 25 years old at the start of the game.
Lucina - Chrom and Cordelia’s elder daughter, she inherited her fathers blue hair and her mother’s crimson eyes. She’s 4 years old at the start of the game.
Severa - Chrom and Cordelia’s younger daughter. She inherited her mother’s Scarlet hair and her father’s azure eyes. She’s 2 years old at the start of the game.
Robin - He’s an Agarthan who couldn’t stand by what his people were doing and the atrocities they intended to commit, so he fled. After over 2 months of wandering, he collapsed in a field somewhere in the Leister Alliance, and was found by a blue haired nobleman. Pretending to be suffering from amnesia, Robin hoped that he’d finally found a true home. He’s 23 years old at the start of the game.
Emmeryn - Chrom’s older sister and the former leader of their land, until an injury forced her into retirement. She spends her time slowly recovering with the help of her retainer. She’s 30 years old at the start of the game.
Lissa - Chrom and Emmeryn’s little sister. She’s a little firecracker who loves to play pranks. She’s currently attending the Officer’s Academy as a member of the Golden Deer. She’s 19 years old at the start of the game.
Frederick - Emmeryn’s retainer. He’s fiercely protective of his liege and her younger siblings, to the point where he was granted the title, “Frederick the Wary.” He’s 29 years old at the start of the game.
Corrin - She’s a Nabatean who survived the Genocide of her people and now wanders across Fodlan, helping those that she can, when she can. She’s forgotten how old she is at this point.
Ryoma - He’s a Faerghus Noble and Swordmaster who’s land borders on the edge of Empire territory and his people constantly suffer from conflicts between themselves and those from the adjacent Empire land. He’s 27 years old at the start of the game.

I’ve always had an idea for a book trilogy,
first book
where we’re introduced to a happy go lucky mc who’s dream is to become general but is too poor to take actual training so he just signs up to become an adventurer and hopes for the best. He makes friends with a lizard man and they adventure together in hopes of becoming famous and making money. While escorting a group of student researchers into a fairly known ruin, they meet a robot/golem who knows a lot about combat but is unaware of common sense and stuff. Flash forward the group is now a group of five- mc, lizard man, golem/robot, fl,2nd ml- and they’re somehow tricked into fighting with the rebellion because the mc did not properly read the commission’s contract. Another flash forward fl and lizard man die a few chapters into the war and while the two remaining male leads without getting to grieve end up finding out that the golem/robot was actually more aware about the world than they where and ended up taking over the government slowly over the years. Turns out that the robot/golem was made by spiritualist that wanted to give his strongest spirit a body so that it would always be with him. It worked but the spirit was hurt in the process causing it to attack the spiritualist and cause the golem/robot to have no source of energy so the spirit wanders around the world for centuries watching and learning from the worlds “strongest” leaders. And instead of becoming stronger ends up learning a new type of power which was political power. Blah blah blah. The mc and 2nd male lead end up confused about what was going on and while distracted by the golem/robot they get attacked and die in battle to be forever remembered as matyrs and the firsts to witness the new rule. End.
Book two
it’s basically the same events but from the 2nd male leads pov, he comes from a rich family and meets the mc after they lizard man and mc successfully rescued him and his mom. From a wyverns nest. He ends up following them and giving up on becoming an imperial knight. He’s the one with solid skills but no battle iq as he has never had a real battle experience. Yada yada they meet the fl at a ball and she ends up stealing from her family after they put her in an arranged marriage with her grand uncle telling her it’s just for a few years and the pay off will be huge. She runs with the money hires the mc and gang to protect her and then they realize she had amazing lock picking and puzzle solving skills. So they write a contract in which they will protect the fl for free if she helps then while they explore. Blah blah blah a few adventure him and lizard man end up going going on a solo adventure cause the fl is injured and mc has to taker care of her cause the golem/robot is on a “maintenance trip” . And usual crappy romance adventure things happen and they fall for each other with him falling for the lizard man way to fast. So the lizard man never actually accepts the relationship so all he really knows is that they both like each other but have to keep it on the down-low or else. Yadayada it’s basically the same as the first book except it’s more feelings wise and more romantic, and obviously sad cause his lover does end up dead. So the rest after the death is just him trying to live on but never fully accepting his death while also feeling as though his whole world just ended. Until it did.
Book three
Everything is from the golem/robots point of view. It’s the golem/robot coming to live with a body and while being in constant pain they hear a constant loud sound coming from a being close to them. They don’t know what it is but they do know they don’t like it. So they make the most reasonable choice they know-end it. They wake up again, noticing a thread connecting them to a hunk of ore, they understood that they could never actually separate themselves from it and they stay there for a while. Until they notice a lot of noises from far away and yadayada the story is basically them just exploring and finding random organisms studying them and finding stuff that’s interest they watch as organisms evolved, devolved, and some went extinct. They never fully understood stuff but as centuries past they learned a lot, how the weak can control the strong, somehing they knew was not the natural order of things. At first they thought it was interesting but slowly but surely once the fully understood what was going on they found what was happening a tragedy. So they wanted to change it. For the first time in millennia the being wanted something so they hurried to absorb as much information as possible know as much as they can while they waited. They knew it was a a slim chance but they had hope that one day curious souls just like itself would find a way to let them roam around the world and it happened. And yadayadayada, they meet the mc the mc places one of the spiritualist stones inside the golem/robot body and allow for the spirit to gain consciousness. They where both afraid of the being. But the being used what they learned from years of watching the weak controlling the the string they knew how to make them trust them easily. And yada yada the books just about the golem/robot finding ways to get political power as fast and swiftly as possible under a guise and alias. Yadayada they take control usurp the throne quietly until slowly they conquer the nobles and such. Making them start a war for their greed. And yadayada.
Anyways that is all I can really think of. And honestly it sounds fun to write but I have this thing that if I start something the moment it’s starts to look bad for me I give up on it and never look back into it until it’s too late and I have no idea where to begin from anymore

ok. okok.
lyte talk about the contraclass w/o mentioning lysithea challenge 3 2 1 go
WE'RE IN THE FINAL CHAPTER!!!!
and, uh, actually on the final free day of the final chapter. we're gonna do some auxiliary battles, and try to get the rest of the gang (lorenz, ignatz, her, marianne, flayn and balthus) to level 44. in terms of how everyone's going, everyone's in their final classes and mastered them, though flayn doesn't have wrath yet (which is nbd since she either doubles, crits, or doubles and crits everything into oblivion anyway) unit updates below the cut!
claude [dark bishop] is going...fine? he's still putting out tanky magic damage but he isn't doubling or critting as much as he was before. lorenz [war master] on the other hand decides to crit everything. he also has 74 hp. be afraid of lorenz. raphael's best quality is that he's got restore and can dance people. his damage output (except for the brave sword and probably the sword of begalta) is literally negligible/single digit, but at least his avoid is mildly high (high 60s w/ 25 base speed incl. speed+2, an evasion ring, sword avo+20, sword5 and axebreaker)
ignatz is a beast. with the hauteclere he has 59 base might (brought to 70 when you count wyvern lord's axefaire as well as death blow) and 37 base speed. so uh. be afraid of ignatz. marianne is generally unbothered. she has 26 strength, 27 speed, 26 dex and 34 def. so she's actually really good at dodging and critting for a great knight. counting up all the stats her might when using AoUkonvasara is 58 and her prt is 43. so yeah. marianne is unbothered.
hilda is a solid all-round unit; she has roughly equal def and res at 23 and 25 respectively, 29 base magic and roughly 30 dex and speed. holy knight hasn't done anything spectacular to her except pump up her res, but she remains a solid unit who can dish out good magic damage and do funky bolting shenanigans. leonie [dark flier] is, again, a good mage with 28 magic, 42 dex and 43 speed. her short spell list and its limited uses (fire/bolg./rag.; 10/5/3) is a tad annoying, were it not for the fact that she likes doing critical hits when she's low on spell uses for some reason. she's also one of my best bait units along with ignatz thanks to alert+ and that giant speed stat.
seteth [war monk] is doing great. he can delete anything in one round of combat w/ his gauntlets (36 strength), and with a magic stat of 29 and speed and dex at 36 and 35, his spells aren't too bad either (i can't remember if i've said it before on here, but let me say it now--with love and care seteth has the potential to be a BRILLIANT magic unit). flayn only very very recently came into her own as a crit build, but with a base might of 36 (incl. death blow) and a base dex stat of 32, she's got HEFTY crits left right and centre regardless of if she's in swordmaster or warrior, and with a speed stat of 29, her avoid isn't too bad either--especially since she's equipped w/ both lance- and axebreaker.
balthus [bow knight] is doing pretty well for himself--he's got 36 strength and 29 speed, which, while not being enough to double everyone, can pack a punch when he needs to (he's always been able to deal a surprising amount of damage to armoured units)--and his 32 dex helps in getting those crits out when he needs too. byleth, lovingly named caithens in this run, [valkyrie] packs an absolute magic punch (she has taken out enemy units with 50+ hp out in a single hit before--critless, too), and can do it from three spaces away (insane!). her magic stat is 31, and she has a dex stat of 36, and a speed stat of 31. like the others (no, sorry raph), she's always ready to nuke a healthbar.
so that's the gang! i'd say everyone's very prepared to take on nemesis, the elites, and every single enemy on the final map, especially with its recommended level of 42. i'll try to keep y'all updated, and honestly might liveblog it. because i'm sure there will be insanity to come.
..oh? you, uh, you say that i didn't include an overview of everyone? i mean everyone relevant is there, right? hang on lemme check. hmhmhmmmm.
ah! oh, you want to know how she's going--the character that i've prattled on about the most this entire run? xD
ok, ok. since you asked so nicely~
(one-winged angel starts playing)
falcon knight.
49 hp. 27 attack. 38 magic. 44 dexterity. 39 speed. 20 luck. 22 defence. 25 res. 22 charm. with alert stance+ and including all passive bonuses, she gets almost 120 avoid just by waiting and holding an iron lance. she also doubles literally everything with darting blow. she got chilon down to like, a fifth or sixth (if not less) of his health just by doubling with the spear of assal. i made the terrifying choice to give her a brave lance+, and have also resolved to give her a chest key for the final map so that she can pick up the arrow of indra. yes i know that would be broken and yes that's the point. also yes tbf i have enabled this by giving her the immortal corps. but it's also lysithea on a flying horse i don't think its meant to make sense.
anyway yeah the main takeaway is that all of these classes are more or less extremely viable (except for dancer!raphael but the same thing happened to caspar on SS and bernie on CF so he's not special)
so anyway that's more or less the endgame situation atm! it'll probably get slightly better after the three auxiliary battles, and i'll post the usual final-battle unit overview video, so there's that to come! stay tuned!

silly au ideas that appeal only to me: fire emblem au for empires. no we don’t have enough characters to fill out a whole fire emblem cast. no i don’t care. anyway i’m going to assign them classes (that work like the traditional fire emblem classes work - base class that promotes to a new class using a fancy seal, not the way that three houses classes work.)
scott smajor as our lord because of his main character energies. he’s cool like hector though he’s an axe lord. when he promotes he gets weapon ranks in bow and gets a stag mount. he has an icy theme. axe lord cool lord. he gets a prf that’s like... an axe that can do magic damage with an ice flavor. i think he has like. eliwood stats. even though he’s an axe user.
jimmy is like... i think it’s funny if he starts as a trainee class, like the villager. you have to BABY this man, but once he snowballs he snowballs. so starts with terrible stats but great growths in everything. i think, like many trainees, he has several class options he can take, but i sort of feel cavalier path for him? lance user. (also in the plot i think he’s related to lizzie but didn’t get the dragon genes, because...)
lizzie can be our manakete. she can have the cool awakening design for the manakete that looks like a sea dragon, except in blue and pink. i think lizzie deserves to be able to transform into a fuck-off dragon, is all.
joel gives me myrmidon vibes for some reason? speedy sword users that crit a lot. he has a bit of that slightly mean myrmidon personality that’s classic in fire emblem too. i say this with love.
pixlriffs is... actually hard for me but i think i personally like him as a white mage/healer. he gives me healer vibes. i’m also going to be nice and say “he gets the ability to cast nosferatu as white magic even though that’s less common than the healers not being able to attack” because i think he should get offensive white magic and staves from the getgo. when he promotes he also gets anima magic.
gem is, obviously, a mage class, and probably promotes to a sage and just can cast every type of magic after promotion. of the three magic types though i feel like her initial affinity/tomes is wind. no reason i just think it fits her.
sausage strikes me as an armorknight. big armor, big defensive stats, sits on the front lines and tanks every hit... as long as it’s not magic. somehow, that feels fitting for him, alright.
fwip is a wyvern rider i think. axes and lances and a wyvern. he names the dragon something fun i think. it’s black and has red wings and gem also dotes over it, almost more than fwip does.
and pearl is a classic axe warrior! she’s got big hp, a big axe, and is willing to kick your ass for free. i think in the plot she was just a farmer who joined the gang to help with their Big Quest because she likes fighting and is better at it than basically everyone else. she promotes to something that can use several weapons, i think. that or an axe and a bow.
katherine is an archer. i have no good reason for this other than “she gives me kind of archer vibes”. i like the idea of her taking up the rear, helping all of her allies by sniping from the back. when she promotes she definitely gets a mount to become a bow knight.
joey is... another hard one. i think joey is a dark mage, uses dark magic, and would prefer not to talk about why dark magic specifically. he has kinda dark magic vibes i think. i don’t know you could convince me something different for him OR katherine i’m very undecided on them.
and lastly, shubble is our pegasus knight. she found her beloved pegasus after being the lone survivor of the destruction of her farming town by the Big Evil of whatever fire emblem plot we have going on, and bonded with it. she’s lances on pegasus-back, but she eventually gets staves and swords when she promotes to a falcon knight. she has the really good speed and kind of low attack of the pegasus knight early on but is probably like. one of the best units once you use her. because she can fly.
and those are the vibes i’m feeling so far. self-indulgent fire emblem au. yes. anyone who has other ideas about this feel free to propose things. xonorth is probably an evil dragon that scott discovers is related to him or something. or, well, maybe like in empires, the dragon wasn’t the evil, this time...

Entry 57: Peak Conquest
So, I remember today’s chapter. It’s infamously hard. I’m probably going to need a dozen attempts to beat it. But first, class shit.
Class Profile: Sky Knight
The renamed version of the Pegasus Knight from past games and Hoshidan rival to the Wyvern Knight class. Class of Hinoka, Subaki, Shigure, and Caeldori. Wields lances and has amazing speed and resistance, coupled with the ability to fly over terrain, but terrible attack and defense. Great for ferrying around other units and mage killing but not great at surviving direct battles. As a flying class, they take double damage from bows. The skill Darting Blow boosts speed when attacking, which is nice but kinda wasted on an already fast class, and the skill Camaraderie heals the user if there are nearby allies. The design is a bit bland, to be honest, and I think the shoulder pads look a bit. Also, female Sky Knights shouldn’t have exposed thighs. They ride a horse with wings, that must feel awful.
Class Profile: Diviner
This game’s version of the Mage class and Hoshidan counterpart to the Dark Mage class. Wields tomes. Class of Orochi, Hayato, and Rhajat. Promotes to Omyoji and Basara. Diviners have great magic and speed, plus the ability to use tomes, making them adept at picking off enemies with low defense. Unfortunately, they can’t take physical hits even slightly. Their skill Magic +2 does what you’d expect and Future Sight gives them a chance of gaining double experience. Pretty underwhelming skills, to be honest. Their baggy pants and exposed midriffs, although unusual for Fire Emblem Mages, look nice and fit with the class’s weak physical stats.
Class Profile: Archer
A bow-wielding class and Hoshidan counterpart to the Outlaw class. Class of Takumi, Setsuna, and Kiragi. They retain their high accuracy from past games, but also have great speed and strength in this game, making Fates one of the only Fire Emblem games where Archers can be a formidable offensive force. Skill +2 is a bland but passable skill. Quick Draw gives a good boost to strength when attacking, helping archers continue to be fucking stronk. I’m really fond of the Archer design in this game; the pelt wrapped around their waists is a nice reference to the fact that Takumi, Setsuna, and Kiragi are all hunters.
Conquest Chapter 10: Unhappy Reunion
The gang arrives in Dia, a port town where they can take a ferry to the country they're planning to invade and conquer so Moron's daddy will like them. Silas and Moron discuss Elise's friendliness to Azura. Felicia runs in and informs Moron that the Hoshidans have taking control of the port. Moron decides to fight, but worries about running into their siblings and having to deal with the consequences of their actions.
Leading the charge is Takumi who vows to make Moron vow for betraying his family. The battle begins, with our army defending the port from waves of enemies. On turn three, Camilla arrives with her retainers to save the day. Moron doesn't remember who Selena and Beruka are; guess they have something in common with Silas.
Selena
Severa from Awakening, a tsundere Mercenary. This game keeps her good annoyed facial expressions, while also giving her a better outfit; I found Severa’s outfit in Awakening to be a bit bland and prefer the poofy sweater. Her personal skill, Fierce Rival, gives her a guaranteed crit on follow-up attacks if her ally makes one.
Beruka
A Wyvern Knight assassin and one of Camilla’s retainers. Very quiet, very loyal, very deadly. Design wise, I’m not too fond of Beruka; her armor with the torn cloak is great, but the purple cyan contrast is off-putting and her head just looks like a beach ball, Her personal skill, Opportunist, boosts damage if the enemy can’t counterattack, making her great at killing Archers or melee units with a hand axe.
This chapter is amazing. It has a complex map where you have to guard three different chokepoints. There are breakable walls, turrets to snipe enemies from a distance, houses to visit if you have the time. The enemy reinforcements are constant, really capturing that feeling of being overwhelmed without ever being too punishing. I actually almost lost because some Sky Knights flew past Camilla over the river and had to chase them down to keep them from reaching the defense point. Towards the end of the battle, Takumi uses a Dragon Vein to drain the river, completely destroying your chokepoints and forcing you to adapt on the fly. This map is hard, but it’s also incredibly fair. It forces you to be strategic far more than any map in Birthright. And it’s an amazing map.
If Moron and Takumi fight, Takumi says that Nohrians don't have souls. Which is irrelevant, because Moron isn't Nohrian. Or does Takumi think that Garon ate Moron's soul when he kidnapped them. Also Moron apologizes a bunch for all the evil shit he's doing.
If Takumi fights Azura, something a competent player would attempt, he says that he always knew Azura would betray them. He also mentions that Ryoma was planning a rescue of Azura, because Ryoma is a decent human being.
So, I’m going to be real here. I think the game is trying to have Takumi’s bigotry against Nohrians be a character flaw, and it kinda is, but overall it just falls flat. Hating people based on nationality is bad, yes, but also the people he hates based on nationality are the soldiers of the invading army that murdered his mother. I’m not going to criticize Takumi any more than I would criticize a Korean person in WWII for hating Imperial Japan or a Sioux person during the era of manifest destiny for hating American settlers. Hating your oppressors isn’t the same as hating someone who is your equal under the law. And Takumi isn’t even directing his hatred towards Nohrians in general during this chapter. He’s directing it towards Moron and Azura, Nohrians who betrayed him and are leading a violent imperialist army trying to conquer his homeland. I did dislike Oboro’s bigotry in Birthright, but that’s because it was aimed towards Nohrian turncoats fighting alongside her. In Takumi’s case, his rage is aimed squarely at those who deserve it.
This chapter, I feel, perfectly captures what it feels like to play Fates, and especially what it feels like to play Conquest. The gameplay is spectacular. This chapter is, from a design perspective, immaculate. But, in terms of writing, it falls short. It has the protagonist act like a whiny spineless hypocrite serving evil out of cowardice, while painting that same protagonist as a noble hero. This chapter is, for better and for worse, peak Conquest.
After the battle, Moron tells Takumi to retreat to spare his wounded men. Takumi says Nohr knows nothing of mercy. Moron tells Takumi to not take him at face value just because he's a traitorous jackass working for the man that murdered their mother. Camilla offers to kill Takumi for being rude and Moron tells her to back off, because Takumi has a right to his anger. And yes, he fucking does. Garon murdered his parents. And Moron's parents. And is actively invading Hoshido and slaughtering countless people for shits and giggles.
Takumi says Moron should have never come back into their lives before he is overwhelmed by a massive surge of pain. I'm going to pretend I don't know what this is. Takumi warns Moron that Ryoma has trained with the rainbow sage and vows to make Moron beg for death, something Takumi will happily grant.
As the chapter ends, Moron says an interesting line. There's no time to overthink things... No time for guilt or regret. And isn’t that just Conquest in a nutshell?
Enough about this dumb but also smart chapter. Let’s do some Supports.
Support: Corrin/Camilla
C: Camilla asks Corrin to fall asleep in her lap so she can kiss their cheeks while they're sleeping. This is going to be a long Support, isn't it? Corrin explains that they aren't a kid anymore and doesn't need to cuddle with Camilla.
B: Camilla offers to take Corrin to a private hot spring spa. Corrin says no because there's a war going on. Camilla guilt trips them about how she just wants to give them life's simplest pleasures because Garon never gave them to Corrin.
A: Corrin apologizes for acting like a spoiled brat and not wanting to spend time with their creepy sister, who just wants to make them happy. Camilla pulls a map out of her boobs that shows a list of vacation spots for her and Corrin.
S: Camilla says they can get around the problem of people finding their relationship weird by getting married. Corrin points out that they're siblings and Camilla says that getting married will make them a real family. When Corrin says no, Camilla forces him to admit he finds her hot, because this Support is a Freudian nightmare. Corrin finally relents and decides to marry his sister.
Review: In this Support’s defense, it doesn’t do the shit from other sibling Supports where it suddenly becomes incest. This Support knows what it is and is incestuous and uncomfortable from the start. Now, why Intelligent Systems decided to have their tactical role-playing game feature a big titty fanservice older sister who wants to fuck the player in the first place, that question will haunt me for years.
Support: Beruka/Selena
C: Selena challenges Beruka to a duel to determine who between them is the strongest. Beruka says no, because it would be pointless, and says that Selena is fragile and too concerned with the thoughts of others. Selena counters that Beruka only does what she's ordered to do.
B: The two of them apologize to each other.
A: Selena takes Beruka accessory shopping; Beruka fantasizes about using jewelry as murder weapons.
Review: Wow, that conflict sure didn’t last long. This Support sucks.
Support: Arthur/Elise
C: Elise asks Arthur if he'd do anything to help someone in trouble. Arthur says he would because he's a great hero for justice. Somehow Arthur never realizes that the Nohrian military fucking sucks.
B: Elise asks Arthur to make Xander smile. Arthur succeeds by accidentally falling down a hill and making Xander laugh.
A: Elise explains that she misses when Xander was happy, before the war.
S: Elise explains that Xander was always her hero as a kid and was more of a father to her than Garon ever was, and that Xander's gone from being her hero to the hero for all of Nohr. Elise tells Arthur that he's also an ideal hero, and would be a great husband. Then they get married.
Review: This Support gives some great insight into Elise’s relationship with her brother, while having Arthur be a great friend to her. That said, Elise and Arthur getting together just feels wrong. All of Elise’s S-Ranks are a bit sketchy, but Arthur is a lot older and has a protective father figure vibe for her.
Support: Niles/Nyx
C: Niles makes dirty jokes around Nyx. She warns him to stop before she forces him to.
B: Nyx uses magic to keep Niles from saying anything dirty. When Niles keeps talking, she uses magic to silence him completely.
A: Niles, after learning of Nyx's past, apologizes for making her uncomfortable., explaining that he only makes dirty jokes to make spoiled people feel bad. Considering how many people in this army have dark pasts, and that this is the second time thus far Niles has had to apologize after finding out about someone's past, maybe he should just chill with the dirty jokes for a while.
S: Niles proposes and reveals he has a friend who can lift Nyx's curse.  Niles stops making dirty jokes because he loves Nyx, but he asks her to go back to hitting on her because it's hot.
Review: Not bad. Niles being muted is fun.

Hot fucking take with this now fuck, cause now I’m thinking of like, that shit where it becomes slightly physical traits cause damn, my brain is simple— fangs. All I can say is- fangs. *slaps desk* f a n g s — cats have fangs, snakes have fangs, I bet Dragons have fangs, foxes have fangs— people question if Juleka is legit a vampire now because they swear her teeth were not that sharp before
Adrien: *has watched Vampire Knight and read Twilight* Juleka, are you...?
Juleka: *does the tongue thing because she's nervous* am I what?
Adrien: are you team Jacob or team Edward?
Juleka: *instantly relieved* team Jasper
-
Oh I just love the gang with fangs! Alix would need to get a new mouthguard for lacrosse
Luka and Juleka would try to pass it off as a family trait and be super cryptic like "oh, these? We've always had these, right Jules?" "Yes, Luka, always."
Adrien being the only non-hero in his date-cule is hilarious also. Just him ranting to his girlfriends and boyfriend about the cool heroes and showing off his Kitsune, Multimouse and Wyvern Rouge merch as all three blush
I'm going to be thinking about these forever now thank you
