Top 10 Travel Influencers in Singapore
New Post has been published on https://popularchips.com/dailies/top-10-travel-influencers-in-singapore/
Top 10 Travel Influencers in Singapore
Tumblr media
“Should I do travel blogging and vlogging? I don’t think it will be that hard, all I have to do is constantly record my moments with a good camera! And then when i get home, I just have to edit and compile the pictures and/or videos, add music to the videos, and do a short writeup about the trip!”
Many times, many of us speak of starting a travel blog and doing travel vlogs, but how many of us actually take the time to do it? How many of us tried to start doing vlogs, only to throw in the towel halfway? How many of us start travel blogs, only to stop being active bloggers after a short period of time? How many of us get so caught up with activities overseas, that we realise we do not have the time to film vlogs or even take pictures, telling ourselves “maybe the next trip”?
Let’s take the time to appreciate these top 10 Singaporean travel influencers (ranked from the highest percentage of Singaporean audience to the lowest)* that let us see the world through their eyes when they travel to different countries and share it with us to enjoy these moments with them.
1. Rosalyn Lee
At age 39 and ranked the number 1 travel influencer in Singapore with 63.86% of her audience being Singaporean, Rosalyn Lee, more commonly known as Rozz, (@heyrozz) is one of the older travel influencers in Singapore.
Rozz is an ex-radio DJ who quit her job to travel the world. She now has her own channel on clicknetwork.tv, and also records more informal scenes of her travels on her Facebook and Instagram accounts.
In her series, Rozz Recommends, she vlogs about interesting places to visit in the world that the average Singaporean is unlikely to have gone to among other things.
Her most recent video is a travel vlog to Cuba, where she spends time with the locals, introducing us to their homes and their lives, talking about the impact of Communism on the country and giving us helpful tips on the currency of the country as well as where to obtain Singaporean millennial necessities like Wi-Fi.

You can also acquaint yourself with Rozz’s travels on her Instagram page.
Join Rosalyn as she takes us through her journey of her travel experiences, giving us a sense of what it feels like to be in that country!
2. Ivan Kuek
Ranked 2nd place in Singapore is Ivan Kuek (@phonenomenon), who has 53.74% of his followers from Singapore.
Ivan publishes many posts of his travel adventures on his Instagram. His posts are unique because unlike many influencers who post photos and vlogs of themselves when they travel, Ivan captures pictures of people in these places too. He includes meaningful captions accompanying these pictures, allowing us to understand the moment where the photo was taken better.
Don’t these images make you feel like travelling too?
3. Yina Goh
Yina Goh (@yinagoh) has 52.12% of her followers from Singapore, putting her in 3rd place.
Like a lot of travel influencers, Yina also owns a blog which is neatly classified into different aspects that her audience might be interested in. There is a travel section where her audience is able to get glimpses of her travel experiences.
Yina’s blog posts are very detailed and comprehensive, with each post talking about her entire trip as well as information about what seems like every activity she does. Additionally, what makes her travel blog good for travellers when they are planning their itinerary is that she includes the address and contact number of the places that she has been to, and lots of other detailed information about parts of her trip that helps her audience in deciding whether to visit the place.
Besides filling her blog with pleasing images of her travel experiences and interesting content, she also posts images of spectacular views of the destinations that she visited on her Instagram account.
4. Xin Lin
Ranked 4th in place is Xin Lin (@xinlinnn), with 45.12% of her followers in Singapore.
Xin Lin’s posts on her travel blog feature little snippets of the activities that she did on a day to day basis during the span of her trip. While she writes about her entire travel experience in some of her posts, others merely feature a number of the more interesting things that readers could possibly do in the country. What’s more, they are accompanied by beautiful images–doesn’t looking at these pretty pictures make you wish you were there too?
Her most recent post is her Vietnam travel diary as shown above, where she separated the post into three parts corresponding to the three days on which she did the trip. As compared to Yina, mentioned above, her descriptions of her travels are often more brief, hence allowing her readers to get a quick overview of each activity rather than a longer, but more comprehensive one.
Her Instagram page also features picturesque images of her in different parts of the world, usually tagged with location tags so that her audience is able to identify where she carries out her activities, should they take a liking to what they see and wish to travel to these places in the future.
5. Elaine Jasmine
Ranked 5th in place is Elaine Jasmine (@xelainejasmine), with 44.31% of her followers from Singapore.
If her name sounds familiar, it is probably because she was most recently involved in a spat with a Singaporean jewellery store owner.
Unlike many of the other influencers we have mentioned above, Elaine does not have a blog on which she records her travels. Instead, she posts travel photographs on her Instagram page whenever she travels and sets herself apart as a travel influencer by using her own hashtag, #AroundWithElaineJ, whenever she writes about her trips.
6. Sheiryn Aisiqa
6th on our list is Sheiryn Aisiqa (@aisiqa), who has an audience that is 43.67% Singaporean.
Sheiryn’s Instagram gallery is filled mostly with images of her in other parts of the world, even when the photographs and videos are taken to promote her clothing line instead of the location she has travelled to. Sheiryn’s travels include destinations that may seem atypical to the average Singaporean, from the Maldives to Weligama Bay in Sri Lanka to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
Many of Sheiryn’s posts contain the sea, sand and sky so for those of you who are interested in beach holidays, do consider following her for inspiration on your holiday destinations.
7. Christabel Chua
In 7th in place is Christabel Chua (@bellywellyjelly), with 41.71% of her audience from Singapore.
Not only is she a beauty influencer, Christabel is also a known travel influencer. Christabel’s travel blog is unique in that her posts are heavily filled with pictures and contain few words. The visual nature of her blog allows her audience to better appreciate the beauty of her images, hence drawing many eyes to her blog.
While some travel influencers may write about their trips with a rather clinical approach, providing more information than opinion, Christabel tends to writing about how parts of her trips made her feel and, for the most part, tries to let her pictures tell the story.
If you are one who prefers to scroll through a series of aesthetically pleasing images instead of reading about a trip, be sure to check out Christabel’s blog!
  8. Andrea Chong
Andrea Chong (@dreachong) has 32.53% of her audience from Singapore, making her 8th in place for the top 10 travel influencers in Singapore.
Similar to Christabel, Andrea is also a beauty and travel influencer. She travels two to three times a month, blogging after her trips so that her audience can enjoy her trip with her, through the lens of the camera.
Andrea’s travel blog is neatly organised, and each post is very detailed. Her post talks about every single activity that she does during her trip, and she includes many attractive pictures. Andrea also includes photos in the form of a collage, with the address of the locations she has visted included on the side of the collages. These collages are wonderfully done and give us a nice summary of that activity itself just at one glance.
Andrea’s hard work has definitely not been unrecognised, as she has a great deal of audience that are interested in her travel work. Visit her blog to look at more varieties of her work!
Her Instagram page also contains photos of her trips to different countries, where we can admire these beautiful and well-taken shots that capture the moments so perfectly.
9. Daniel & Gina
Ranked in 9th place are Daniel and Gina (@sunriseodyssey), who have 31.16% of their audience from Singapore.
Daniel and Gina are a couple who share a passion for travel. This couple gave up their corporate careers to pursue their love. Going on exciting adventures and venturing to unique locations, they pen their exciting journey through blog posts and sharing Instagram posts about their adventures after. Gina is the “voice” of the blog while Daniel is the man behind the camera.
The highly detailed travel blog of the couple gives us insights on what countries to visit, what to eat, and what activities to do there. This couple often travels to interesting places in the world, hence giving us an insight into parts of the world that some of us will never visit, such as the Gobi Desert as seen above. Anyone who wants to search for unusual places to add to their travel itinerary should definitely visit this blog!
They hope their blog will inspire more people to explore the world beyond where they live.
10. Willabelle Ong
The last of the top 10 travel influencers in Singapore is Willabelle (@willamazing), who has 19.20% of her audience from Singapore.
At only 24 years old, Willabelle is known for her high fashion style and has been photographed all over the world in collaborations with established brands like Gucci and Chanel.
Willabelle also has a blog with a travel component. Her blog is where her work takes place as she uploads images and details on her trips to different countries. Her chic style and breathtaking pictures of the backgrounds draw many eyes towards her work.
Willabelle’s blog is very interesting as it also tells people about Instagram-worthy spots, while most travel blogs will include generic posts such as what to eat or what activity to do. Additionally, she also has very specific posts that cover only one event in one location, such as the sakura in Japan as shown below, so that she can captivate readers who are only interested in a specific attraction.
Additionally, her Instagram is filled with tons of exquisite pictures of her and of accompanying scenery. If any of you are looking for aesthetically pleasing pictures of different locations, do check hers out!
Being a travel influencer is definitely not easy, because your audience is counting on you when planning their travel itinerary. Additionally, there is another challenge when the influencer is being hired to promote certain destinations, as transparency is needed. Perhaps we can show a little bit more appreciation for these influencers and their travel work by following them!
