The way that my dad makes me feel so protected and calm through the tiniest things

#On Friday when I had the little dangerous car situation happen I was like I NEED TO TELL DAD AND SAY IM AWARE IT WAS MY OWN FAULT #AND ASK WHAT HE WOULD'VE DONE #And when I told him he's like yeah listen sometimes dangerous situations happen int traffic and sometimes there isn't a perfect way out #And u could've waited a bit longer but there really wasn't a perfect way out of that #And listen.. That'll happen again yknow #And im like YEAH 😭😭 UR RIGHT..#Idk man he really is my stable rock sometimes #He's also realistic about it #Like i could tell mom I ran someone over and she'll be like 'well maybe he deserved it maybe it was actually his own fault.'#'you did nothing wrong baby its not ur fault <3'#Which is nice sometimes #But dad will be like yeah you made a choice and it might not have been the right one. It'll happen again. #dc comics #dc #damian wayne #stephanie brown #tim drake #been drawing more self indulgent doodles lately which is nice #these r sort of a part of that lol #i drew the tim and damian one back when that stort actually came out it's. definitely interesting #if only for portraying Tim and Damian as equally flawed individuals (contrasted to the zdarsky batman for example)#AND unintentionally highlighted how low-key embarrassing it is that Tim is still robin. it's got a part two coming out sometime this month #and the Steph doodle was inspired by me rereading her batgirl run since the trade came out! and remembering how hard Lee Garbetts art slayed #but yeah while i figure out what to post and how- have this #the tim and damian one got like 3 likes on the bird app meanwhile the Steph one is at 1.3k w 93 bookmarks #say what you will about the bird app but when you get the right ppls attention that place does NOT have to be batboy centric #(or soley batboy centric. i like them a lot (damian mainly) but the variety is nice compared to here)

#art #twisted wonderland #twisted wonderland spoilers #twisted wonderland episode 7 spoilers #twisted wonderland book 7 spoilers #they are truly the most inspiring love story of our generation #though i guess he's not dr. zigvolt since zigvolt is the clan name...#unless he took her name which i absolutely could see. why would you ever not want to be called zigvolt.#this does tie nicely in with my headcanon that sebek's siblings got more of the fae features than he did #and he has a Complex about it #i get the impression that sebek's siblings are much closer in age to each other and also have more of their dad's chill #so sebek is sort of the baby of the family and he's got a Complex about that too #i think a lot about the zigvolt family for characters who have never actually appeared #on the subject of actual canon though #i do actually really appreciate that both sebek and silver each had a little moment of reassuring each other #that this is 400 years ago and also incredibly unfortunate circumstances #and present-day reality lilia and baul love them very much #(i do think sebek is secretly baul's favorite grandkid)#it was just nice to see! especially from sebek! he is sometimes a very thoughtful boy and it's always nice to see that side of him #sebek trying SO hard to get baul to like him though 😭#and lilia being like 'aw i think you're getting kind of fond of him :)'#i love. Characters.

I'm rewatching leverage out of nostalgia and some other emotion I haven't figured out yet, and I do think there's a story in "Maggie Ford Collins deals with having the most unhinged ex in her suburban book group, learns to hotwire a car, and gets her groove back, not in that particular order."

#nate's weird crime children (all of whom are grown adults) adopt maggie as their....something.#weird former stepmom? dad's ex-girlfriend who drove them to soccer practice once? loosely affiliated maybe-sorta aunt?#...this involves more lying and wearing tight dresses and carrying lockpicks than maggie's used to.#none of them listen when she says this is a job for sophie. they want to show her the benefits of crime!!!!!#she does tell her book club every detail.#currently said book club is trawling message boards and pinging distant facebook connections to get leverage their next case.#maggie is dating a nice art history professor from the local college. leverage is very disappointed.#nate is also disappointed mostly because he thought she'd pick someone terrible and he could ''''rescue'''' her.#unfortunately this guy is okay. he does no crime at all except sometimes taking a penny without leaving a penny #which the leverage crew did not realize was a an actual thing and therefore doesn't count.#......also I do believe that sterling and nate exchanged handjobs in a ramada inn bathroom once or twice #and that maggie does not know this but sophie does.#(maggie would not have been into it but sophie....sort of...is. she likes the mental image.)#leverage

Bonus! Based on this quick thing I did this afternoon and the idea took a bit more shape and turned into that thing from above uEK

#not too much effort on the colors with this one #o would’ve left it just with lineart but at the end I thought it would look nicer with some rough shadows #shadowing. you know what I meant.#his plant markings being extremely faint on his eyes when they aren’t glowing is very true to me also #I think itd be awesome if Vash’s eyes would just look like that when he isn’t masking #or they could be a bit more lax but still look like they are staring far far away into the void #or into your souls if you so happen to make eye contact with him. like woowoo over here #he is probably listening for one of his sisters who is not so close to him. maybe even Kni? who knows it’s up to interpretation #Vash’s hair can be such a nightmare also. Like, Scar being obsessed with killing Grian and then Grian blowing up his reputation board once he does???? Get a room. They are staring into eachothers eyes daring the other to do something, this is not divorce, this is enrichment

Exhibit B: Immediately after the whole murder and destruction of property debacle, when Grian has promised to hunt Scar until he's out (kinky) and Scar is hiding in Joel's car with the bamboozlers and the family and the sub ones are staring at them Scar LITERALLY DESCRIBES "THEIR SOCKET EYES" like???? only one man staring at you has socket eyes Scar, are you too busy getting lost in them to notice that???? Hmmmmm

Not to mention that after Mumbo's disastrous lava murder attempt Scar immediately runs right over to Grian and stands as close to him as physically possible for NO REASON!!!! Sir, this man has promised to murder you after you spent 50% of the session being obsessed with murdering him and now you're all up in his personal space whispering in his ear???? The least divorced thing I've seen all day, these two are absolutely openly disgustingly insane about eachother IN PUBLIC for everyone to see

This session is just the minecraft equivalent of making out in public and nobody can change my mind

I like Alisaie's continuous distaste for self sacrifice. In a genre where self sacrifice is usually something noble and necessary, it's refreshing to see a character say "No. There is another way. You are not losing it all for this cause. You will live to see your efforts bear fruit."

I'm not getting into The Giving Tree discourse...

#personal #delete later #idk i just saw a post of the “alternate ending” comic on my dash and everyone praising it as an improvement and “fixing” the original #which i kinda resent #while tulli and i was taking my nephew to a book store we walked around the kids section and found the giving tree and we read through it #and i was so stricken by how profoundly sad it is. it's not a happy story #in the end both versions tell the exact same lesson. but one flat out tells you and the other makes you sit with a pit in your stomach #and work to find the answer #i dunno it's kids literature but kids literature is important. i don't wanna discredit anyone's bad memories with the book but also i think #sometimes it's ok to make kids a bit sad and upset with fiction.#tweet that goes “what if romeo and juliet didn't kill themselves and explained to the audience that family feuds are bad”#idk you can't seriously read the original book as an adult and say it's glorifying self-martyrdom #when the final drawing of the book is of an old tired man sitting on arotting stump with his hat fallen to the ground #again i don't wanna invalidate people's feelings if they enjoy the alt version i think it's really nice too. but the original has its #purpose too. imagine if at the end of the lorax they show that the boy did it and replanted the world happy ending #wait they did that in the movie shit #i dunno i just love somber children's literature. tulli and i are talking about moomin right now and how the series ends with the moomin #family just leaving. and nobody gets to say goodbye to them. their friends have to find ways to live with the emptiness they've left behin
