I have just watched The Amazing Digital Circus ep 2. Got a theory re: Jax
Ok so ppl have been pointing out that Jax seems more 'violent' this episode. However, I want everyone to consider this v brief expression he pulled when hearing about Kaufmo's funeral
Tumblr media
I think it's clear he did care about Kaufmo, even if he didn't show it.
My thoughts? He's going throught the 5 stages of grief rn.
Ep 1 was denial, him acting like it was all fine and ignoring the situation
Tumblr media
This ep was anger. Him wishing for violence on everyone, dissapointed there was no bloodshed, willing to let the Fudge kill the whole kingdom... yeah, man was pissed tf out
Tumblr media
If we're going by that logic, next eps will be bargaining, depression and acceptance. Considering Gooseworx on twitter issued warnings for the whole series, which included "references to suicide"... yeah.
That was all basically bye-

Top 10 Cartoons I Hate But Many Others Like
Tumblr media
#10. The Amazing Digital Circus: Yes, I'm aware only 2 episodes have been made of this cartoon. I'm also aware that both episodes have been praised by viewers and critics alike. As much as I would love to join in on the fun, I cannot ignore how badly structured it is. From the unlikable characters, the poor world building, the unfocused narrative to the lackluster jokes, poor handling of themes and lack of stakes, this it the kind of unmitigated mess that more infamously bad cartoons are ripped to shreds over. I will say that the animation and voice acting is well done so it's not all bad.
Tumblr media
#9. The Owl House: Many people were disappointed by my disappointment with this disappointing cartoon. But no one was more disappointed that I was left cold by the show than me. I love fantasy, magic, mystical creatures and enchanting worlds. The Owl House should've been up my ally, yet in practice I wouldn't even spit in it's direction. With an irritating cast of characters, bad world building, formulaic plots, the writing was already on the wall. Then Amity showed up and it made the show unbearable to sit through. I'm all for LGBTQ rep, but I draw the line at a bully and their victim becoming and item. I'm sure Amity has some sappy sob story about how her parents pressured her into being an entitled brat, but she's still and entitled brat that shouldn't even have friends, nevermind a girlfriend, because her attitude STINKS!
Tumblr media
#8. The Loud House: I've made it no secret that despite the warm reception and continued popularity of The Loud House, I was never a fan. I never found it funny, well written, or relatable. All I got from The Loud House was this is one of the most annoying dysfunctional families I've ever seen. I do think it's well animated and I commend the crew for moving forward with the show despite the disgraced creator's termination.
Tumblr media
#7. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur: I consider myself a big Marvel fan thanks to the MCU and Spider-Man franchises. I never heard of Moon Girl or Devil Dinosaur before this show was announced, so I was genuinely curious to see how this would play out. Needless to say, I was not impressed. Despite having dazzling visuals and really good voice acting, the show is just badly made with terrible writing, unfunny jokes, dull characters, and repetitive action scenes. This show clearly has its fans, but unfortunately I'm not one of them.
Tumblr media
#6. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous: Those who know me know I love dinosaurs and am a huge Jurassic Park fan. You'd think a cartoon based on the series would be as exciting and interesting as the movies. Well like so many of the dinosaurs victims, you'd be DEAD WRONG! This show shoots itself in the foot by having 6 unlikable and annoying characters, and not one gets eaten by a dinosaur. Not to mention it's sluggishly paced, the animation is stiff, and the score only reminds me of the movies I'd rather be watching. Clearly I'm in the minority here as I had a blast watching ALL the Jurassic Park movies, even the ones critics didn't like at all, over this.
Tumblr media
#5. We Bare Bears: I like bears as much as the next guy, with my favorite cartoon bear of all time being Winnie The Pooh. Despite my fascination with this big, furry creatures, We Bare Bears never made me like the main trio, much less love them. They're all varying degrees of unlikable and the show isn't funny or well written to keep me engaged. They also did San Francisco dirty by making the people so unlikable. The one element that I think would've made for a much more interesting show is Chloe Park. Her character was utterly wasted on this stupid show as she's a kid with a high IQ and is in college but still wants to be a kid. She deserves better.
Tumblr media
#4. The Mitchells vs The Machines: As much as I like Sony pushing for more expiremental animated films lately, this expirement didn't succeed in my book. Sure, the animation is amazing and the voice acting's mostly good, but tells such a generic story, has such incompetent and unlikable characters, and I will never get over the fact that Aaron Mitchell sounds like a middle-aged man and not, you know, A CHILD! The worst part about this film is despite it's best efforts, it is just NOT funny. It relies so much on cringy, outdated memes, weak slapstick, and dull visual gags and I never once found it funny.
Tumblr media
#3. El Deafo: I was confused as to what this show was supposed to be based on the trailer. Watching it for myself, I found that it was more frustrating than anything. Don't get me wrong, I commend author Cece Bell for turning her personal struggles with impaired hearing into a comic turned cartoon and I fully understand wanting to tell a story from a deaf person's perspective. That said, though, I just despised the execution from the awful writing, the unlikable characters to the terrible sound mixing. As pure as the intentions were, they were sorely lost in the execution in my opinion.
Tumblr media
#2. Frog and Toad: When I was a kid, I loved reading the Frog and Toad books. They were simple, yes, but the characters were so interesting and the illustrations were well crafted. This show should've been exactly what I was looking for in an adaptation of the books. What I got instead was a prime example of how NOT to adapt a beloved children's series. Despite having spot on voice acting, the abysmal writing, the incompetent characters, and the lackluster animation really soured the experience. I know the author's children were involved in this, but I don't think they did the books justice. The show didn't take full advantage of the medium and played more like mediocre live reading of the books.
Tumblr media
#1. Summer Camp Island: I clearly struck a nerve with fans of the show when I said I hated it. Well, y'all will be please to know that your efforts to change my mind were all in vain. I just couldn't get passed how badly written it was, how hatable the characters were, how grossly unfunny it was. The worst part is that this is a world where anthropomorphic animals and mystical creatures exist, yet they can't tell anyone about the magic on the island. To this very day, I CALL BOLONGA!
Conclusion: I'm not saying y'all are wrong for liking these show and you definitely won't see me call them "overrated." I just wanna offer a different perspective on these popular and well liked cartoons. Some honorable mentions include Miraculous Ladybug (many people love it, I can't stand it), The Ghost and Molly McGee (you all know how I feel about that chatterbox), and the "adult" cartoons that received critical acclaim such as Rick & Morty, Smiling Friends, Bob's Burgers and The Simpsons. Agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments and I'll see you next time.

THERE ARE SPOILERS IN THIS POST FOR THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS NEW EPISODE, QUICKLY SKIP IF NOT TO BE SPOILED‼️
Okay so I recently watched the new TADC episode, and Caine mentioned that he never has npcs around cause he may forget which one is human or not, or something along the lines of that, and that made me think, is one of the main cast members an npc? The one character I think may be the one, is the loveable jerk, Jax. He is the only one so far who looks directly at us, the audience. Well, I think Caine does it too, but it's more obvious in Jax's case.
He doesn't help with any of the casts problems that happen, and is more of an obstacle at best, gummigoo even spoke to Pomni when he found out he was an npc, that he's just a mere obstacle for them.
I honestly have no idea, just a fun theory I thought while watching the new episode. Who knows! Maybe when the next one comes out, my theory will be downright wrong, but we will just need to wait and see I suppose. 🤷
Also, another thing I remembered is that it would make sense why Jax would have keys everywhere, and also be able to snatch them away easily if he was an npc.

Note
so... What are your thoughts in the the next episode of the digital circus, iam very excited how about you?
(also I just found you like some 5 or 6 months ago , but i really like your art, you are like the only reason I check tumblr , so you are very cool.)
(pls forgive me if I sound cheesy, (i don't know what cheesy means) )
No spoilers of course!
Before watching the newest episode, my only wish was to have more perspective on the characters and see how they interact with each other.
There wasn't anything in particular that I was excited about because I don't read too much into what we've already seen. Other people have stronger opinions and theories than me but I'll listen and collect my own thoughts.
Aww I love cheese! ;)
Thank you for liking my art! Much appreciated 💕

DIGITAL CIRCUS THEORY
I was scrolling through Gooseworx's tumblr page and came across some images from the development of TADC. So I'm gonna theorize on what is going on in these scenes!
Tumblr media
The first is a storyboard! On the drawing layer, Jax has a smirk on his face and seems to be looking at Ragatha (or maybe Pomni? it's hard to make out)
On the 3D layer, we see Gangle (presumably Happy Mask Gangle considering her carefree body language and no broken mask in sight) walking away from Jax and Ragatha. We also see Jax's model in an idle pose.
As for environment, they seem to be standing in a large hall with colourful cubes in the background, something red on an upper ledge and what looks to be a hole in the wall?? (those are probably placeholders tho)
My guess is that Jax is about to prank Gangle (probably breaking her mask) and is saying something mischievous to Ragatha like "watch this 😼". This lines up pretty feel with what we saw him doing in the character introductions.
The next are a bunch of funny smear frames from (what I assume to be) fully animated scenes! Although they look weird, it's very exciting to see a glimpse of what will happen in the pilot!
Tumblr media
Caine flying on the stage we saw in the first teaser.
Tumblr media
Pomni standing on the stage we saw in the first teaser.
Tumblr media
Jax jumping in a room with brown/red walls.
Tumblr media
Ragtha sitting down IN THE SAME HALLWAY WE SAW IN THE FIRST TRAILER! WHERE THE BLACK LINE CAME FROM!
Tumblr media
Gangle lying face down on the floor (she's so me)
Tumblr media
Bubble...sticking out their tongue?? I think??? In the same stage we say in the first teaser.
Tumblr media
This where stuff gets interesting! Zooble is standing in a strange location with a checkerboard floor and walls made out of building blocks!
Tumblr media
And this seems to be Kinger glitching the very same location! The building blocks look very similar to a castle, playing into the chess theme!
Tumblr media
Another shot of Jax jumping in a room with brown/red walls, accept now we can see him jumping into a hole with the same checkerboard floor!
Tumblr media
Jax sliding down a red slide.
Tumblr media
Jax turning around (maybe laughing) on what looks to be the iconic stage.
A lot of these images reminded me of THIS promo from the Glitch Productions YouTube channel.
Tumblr media
It has the same reflective checkerboard floor with Gangle lying face down on the floor! Although this is just a teaser, and not a screenshot from the actual pilot, I do think it's foreshadowing what'll happen in this episode.
So heres my guess on what some of these mean! I think this promo, the Zooble and Kinger images, the images of Jax jumping, the image of Gangle lying down AND possibly the storyboard, all take place in the same area!
This area seems to be a life-sized chess board with colourful blocks in the background making a castle! Assuming all these images were taken from the pilot, I think this will be the main location of the first episode! It will probably be where Caine teleports them to do Pomni's first challenge!
Considering the floor, I think this challenge will be real-life chess! With the character playing as different peices, working to try and capture Kinger! This may be used to show why Kinger is always so paranoid, because in chess the King is actually a very weak peice.
This may be looking to deep into it, but this may also explain why Gangle has fallen down in both teasers. Maybe, if the peice your playing as gets killed in the game, your out and you either faint, have to pretend to be dead or actually die and get revived later.
Or I'm completely wrong, we'll just have to "wait and see!"

My Prediction for Episode 2 of The Amazing Digital Circus
heads up, this is purely my own theories based on what I know of the trailer, as well as gooseworx's tumblr posts. this can easily be interpreted as a guess to the plot of the second episode, that said, if any of these guesses are correct, then I'm sorry for the spoilers.
let's get into it.
we start the episode with what I assume to be a dream sequence for Pomni. which makes sense considering what happened in episode 1 (aka the pilot). it wouldn't surprise me at all that her run in with the abstracted kaufmo was traumatizing. Watching that abstraction later get thrown into the cellar, and realizing that abstraction is the digital world equivalent to death, is also a pretty rattling experience. so it would make sense that Pomni would have a dream about abstraction as she tries to wrap her head around it.
that said, her dream sequence starts in the main area of the circus tent, where it is presumably the next day and she's with the gang waiting for Caine to show up and drag them all into an adventure of some kind. And either when Caine shows up, or while they're waiting, something happens that is disturbing to Pomni. what that is, is very much unknown. but this reaction doesn't just naturally happen, it's triggered by something.
Tumblr media
so she sees something horrific, and in this dream it seems to start to push her to her breaking point, existentially.
Tumblr media
Pomni looks down at herself and her horror grows. part of her is abstracted. Pomni feels a bit of fear and confusion not knowing what to do, and scared about going in the cellar. Caine doesn't care about that though, and upon seeing that she's "abstracting", does the same thing he did to kaufmo. opening a hole in the floor and throwing Pomni in the cellar.
Tumblr media
Pomni tries to grab for anything, desperate not to join the fully abstracted. she yells "no", almost as if to plea that she wasn't insane. that there was no need to lock her away just yet.
Tumblr media
then Pomni wakes up with quite the start.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think anyone would be disgruntled with a wake up call like that, but nonetheless, Pomni gets up and joins the others at the main stage area.
Tumblr media
Pomni waits with Ragatha and Gangle, asking questions she didn't really get to have answered in the last episode.
now, I have no way of knowing what kind of dialogue the characters will be sharing between each other during this episode, so I don't know what is said until the episode airs. all I have are the episode 2 quotes that gooseworx dropped on their page.
so broadly speaking, Caine gathers the rest of the gang, Zooble opts out of the adventure, and Caine shoves everyone else through a portal into the Candy Canyon Kingdom!
Yippee!
now in this episode we have 3 characters (technically 5 but I'm counting gumigoo and his gang to be all 1 entity here). the list is loolilalu, gumigoo (+max and chad), and the fudge monster. Princess Loolilalu, I believe is the sort of quest giver of the adventure. I think loolilalu will send the gang to deal with Gumigoo, and his compatriots, chad and max. who are bandits, and make a bit of a habit of stealing from loolilalu's subjects, even resorting to violence to get what they want.
Tumblr media
Princess Loolilalu simply can't let that stand, and sends the circus crew (minus Zooble) out to apprehend them. giving Ragatha a Key in the process.
Tumblr media
now a lot of people speculated that it'd be a key to the kingdom or something like that, but that doesn't make sense considering pretty much all the shots outside of the celebration on their arrival take place outside the castle walls. No, I think that the Key is for a truck, specifically the truck the circus crew use to chase Gumigoo and his gang with. -this also makes sense to the degree of "how would Caine know the visual difference between a door key and a car key? they're both just keys to him"-
also quick side note: during the celebration as the circus crew arrive at the candy canyon kingdom, one of the audiece NPC's is seen absolutely booking it at Gangle, and I think that the NPC is going to run into her, breaking her comedy mask.
Tumblr media
anyway, the Gang piles into the truck, Gangle driving, Pomni, Kinger and Ragatha in the backseat, and Jax getting shotgun...
Tumblr media
... -ahem- anyway, through a series of whacky hijinks, the circus crew and gumigoo's crew end up in an intense car chase, with Pomni somehow getting on top of Gumigoo's van in the process.
Tumblr media
However, something happens to the truck the circus crew are in, that makes it have to either slow down or stop. rather that's a tire falling off or something else entirely is still up in the air. this normally wouldn't be too bad of an issue.
Tumblr media
but Pomni is still on top of gumigoo's van...
Tumblr media
this is where the circus crew splits up a bit, as Pomni is left to Gumigoo and his gang while the circus crew figure out how to get the truck up and running at full speed again.
So Gumigoo and his gang try to get Pomni off their van. However, Pomni is a survivalist at her core, and a resilient one at that. So the gummy gators have a hard time getting Pomni to let go of their car. they have such a hard time about it that they start doing doughnuts in an effort to spin her off the car.
Tumblr media
what happens after is pretty up in the air, but I'm pretty sure Pomni ends up getting flung very far after loosing her grip and literally flying off.
Meanwhile, with the rest of the circus crew. Ragatha's upset on Pomni's behalf, at the fact that they left her with the gator gang. Jax brushes it off, which only upsets Ragatha more.
The circus crew pull over and assess the damage to the truck, which could be anything from a flat or missing tire, to complete engine failure. what needs to happen to fix the truck is unknown, but the truck needs fixing regardless.
-a moderate amount of chaos later-
the circus gang has fixed the truck and started back on the road again, however they are all completely lost. and end up accidentally wandering into the fudge monster's domain... oops.
Tumblr media
Ragatha probably tries to reason with the fudge monster in order to not get eaten. it'd be a bit fucked up, but maybe the gang offers to feed some gummy gators to the fudge monster in exchange for freedom? idk, it's anyone's guess.
anyway, after the crew is done getting harassed by the fudge monster, they decide it's time to harass the gummy gators, and set out to find them.
seek and ye shall find, and find the circus crew did. not only do they manage to catch up to the gator gang, but they manage to tie up Chad and Max, leaving Gumigoo by himself.
Tumblr media
this is also where the sweet sweet Jax angst is, as we see him just picking at the floor while hugging himself a bit. Not behavior you expect to see from the lanky bastard that makes his existence everyone else's problem. it might also be that he's a bit disheartened that Pomni was not with the Gator Gang, who knows.
anyway the gang start searching for Pomni, and uh...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think they found her? honestly that small dot flying out of the water could be anyone, but Pomni was the only one missing from the group for a prolonged period of time. so it only really makes sense that it'd be her.
last but not least, we have the most confusing clip of the trailer.
Tumblr media
now, strap on for this theory. so I think that this happens after gumigoo's companions are captured (chad and max). now, I think gumigoo was coded as an extrovert of sorts, constantly checking back on chad and max to make sure they're there and stuff. and now that they're gone, gumigoo doesn't know what to do. like his code doesn't have anything for when his compatriots aren't around, and the lack of his friends is maddening. because that is a look of existential dread and shock. and while specifically WHAT happened is a mystery, I do have a few theories as to what it could've been.
maybe gumigoo ended up running into a border of the world and that's what that blue grid is. him accidentally peeking beyond a world border to see a grid with lines and lines of code. maybe this event happens to cause gumigoo to gain a level of sentience, coming to the realization that once the gang is done with the adventure, his world will cease to exist. that all he was, is, and will be are just lines of code, moved around by another AI that is above him (caine). maybe gumigoo just experiences the existentials surrounding the mindset of "I am just a blip in the cosmos, a small insignificant spec in the grand scheme of things". which can ultimately lead to depressive lines of thought. Goose did say this episode would be about depression, I wouldn't be surprised if they also threw in something existential for funsies, or just to hit the point home.
and then the gang finishes the adventure and gets a lovely prize!
Tumblr media
some MPPED!

TADC Yapfest Timeee
As a certified yapper, the need to shove my random assortment of ideas down your throat has been tearing me apart. Therefore, I deem it yapfest time. Also, media literacy is apparently at an all-time low and I am nothing but a product of the environment I am molded in and I require you to understand that.
~♡~
Do you guys know that face Caine made when talking about mixing up NPCs and humans? What do you guys think that implied? Was it a red herring or hinting at something else? Because I so happen to have two things going on in my head.
Firstly and most obviously, I believe that some of the cast are NPCs in disguise. This first came to me with the realization that Jax, Pomni, and Ragatha all sound like real names (Jack or just...Jax, Penny, and Agatha) while Gangle and Zooble didn't (unless there are names similar in other countries I'm unaware of). Then I remembered that Kinger exists, and if Kinger is an NPC I won't recover. The idea that Zooble might be an NPC does seem likely to me for a multitude of reasons.
The first reason: Zooble's refusal to go on Caine's adventures. I doubt an NPC would like to go anywhere in a fake world after discovering what you were. Secondly, Zooble (to me) looks vastly different from the rest of the cast. She looks like she doesn't belong with the other circus members. I can't really find the description of what the rest of the cast looks like other than neat, while Zooble is just a jumble of objects and assortments. It looks like she belonged to a different world and ended up there. That might just be cool character design though and I'm an idiot. Overall Zooble just seems out of place but that might just be because it's episode ONE.
My second idea, one thats been lingering in my mind that Caine himself is human and just forgot after being there for so long. While maybe not as coherent or has as much supportive evidence as the previous it's still there. Perhaps Caine worked for the company that created the Circus, was put in there to run the first run-through, but never made it out. If he was the first trapee, maybe he would have been given host commands, and that would explain why he was the control of the circus (like a party leader).
~♡~
Within my no-sleep-filled fever dream of a mind, this led me to another conclusion. If people had been around this long, why was the game so unfinished? Why were people from the outside not helping. Now this is where my incompetency comes in because due to the Caine actually being human thing I had the idea, maybe the Circus project was abandoned, and that's why the game itself is so unfinished with people abstracting, no exit, things glitching in and out of the world so easily. After Caine they were just like "Oh shit, yeah let's not work on this no more", but people still end up finding their way in. (I also had the idea, as my boyfriend keeps trying to put random numbers in this paragraph, perhaps they queued too many testees. Every time someone abstracts, the next person in line joins but has no memory of that wait.) There's that one thing about Pomni working for the company that created TADC, +8and like I'm not well-versed in TADC theory and canon things I watched like maybe 2 episodes, saw a couple funny posts but...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The place looks run down, abandoned. What self-respecting office space would allow papers to litter the floor. Or a dusty, moldy-looking computer.
It looks like the company abandoned the workplace, this project, everything. Maybe Pomni got put in a queue of sorts, waited until there was an open space available to play. (Kaufmo. R.I.P)
~♡~
A different tangent. I saw something that mentioned TADC was inspired by "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream". Although I'm unaware how true that is, it does lead me to wonder what the end for Pomni will be like. Will she end up saving the others from the digital hell, but be stuck there forever in return? Would she end up as Caine or be stuck with him to live out eternity?
Tumblr media
also this is 100% going to be a problem, look at all of them just chilling.
I wrote this tangent at almost midnight, please forgive me I will edit in the morning (Afternoon).
Edited: more well written

i took as many screenshots of the doors in The Amazing Digital Circus's "bedroom" hallway
i'm getting really into The Amazing Digital Circus, and noticed the doors when Pomni, Ragatha, and Jax went to go meet Kaufmo.
before we begin, which i'll put below the cut, please excuse me bad screenshots. Spoilers below, obviously!
We have the recognizable characters-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ragatha, Jax, Gangle, Kinger, Pomni, and Zooble.
We then have Kaufmo-
Tumblr media
I'm separating him cause a) the above section has six, and six is an even number and b) he'll soon have an X on his face, most likely next time we see him.
Speaking of X's on the face- there are a LOT of characters with X's crossed over their faces.
Notably, we have Queener, the only named character (that i know of) that is off-screen "abstracted" and therefore placed in the cellar-
Tumblr media
Now here is my X-ed out character door spam and shitty screenshot collection, arranged from most "clear" to least "clear", which is dictated by camera angle and by screen quality-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We have- 1) Yellow sad clown with (bunny?) long ears and blue collar. 2) a orange/yellow and green Squrimle (worm on a string) 3) a yellow/orange dog 4) a purple creature, maybe with one eye? 5) a pastel blue/green sock puppet with a pink/purple stripe, blue inner ears, and a red flower (gives me the same vibes as the mouse from Bear in the Big Blue House, or maybe something else I remember watching on playhouse disney...but that's just me idk) 6) purple dragon/dinosaur with colorful scales
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here we have 1) blue 2) ???? with yellow/pink mixed in 3) ????? i genuinely don't know but it seems to be white, blending in with the background 4) colorful jester? and 5) yellow
Other doors have this on it-
Tumblr media
This is one of those wooden dolls used as sn art reference figurine, and there are many of them. At first, I thought they were placeholders for newcomers, and this image would be replaced with the image of a character once they join the circus, but no. Later in the episode, Caine and Bubble are in a fancy restaurant dining area, and these dolls act as filler around them, "eating" at the restaurant as other patrons.
My only question is, what are these things? My best guess are the NPCs Jax mentioned at the beginning of the pilot, but to be completely honest, NPCs usually aren't given rooms alongside the main characters. We also see them around, simply existing. First when Pomni is searching for Caine and sees one in a bathtub, and second, when Caine and Bubbles are in a nice restaurant, with the wooden dolls serving as other patrons

Ok, god, I finally watched the second episode of the Amazing Digital Circus! And oh my goodness it was absolutely fantastic! So, here are a couple of my thoughts on it. Also, spoilers for anyone who isn’t caught up yet:
- The character dynamics were fleshed out a lot more, which definitely helped with the characters dialogue and personalities. Ragatha trying to be the mom friend and keep the gang in high spirits and out of trouble. Meanwhile, Jax having an insatiable need for violence and trouble, plus generally being an a-hole. It really highlights how different each character operates, what they wish to gain from each adventure, and how they treat each other individually.
- Speaking of which, I kinda understand why the fandom would turn on Jax the way they did. But, that’s unfortunately because I think we all put Jax on a pedestal of being a smug jerk instead of what he was really meant to be; A complete douchebag. And as it is, we can only interpret why he acts like this, but at the end of the day, he has been and will probably always be… Jax. Personally, as someone who is quite fond of characters similar to him, I don’t think any lesser of him. In fact, I’m even more invested in his character now and would like to make content with more accuracy to this aggressive nature of his.
- Moving on… So far, I enjoy the repetition of a silly adventure turning into an existence crisis for the characters. I can see why Gummigoo was quick to become a fan favorite, trying to be the strong leader for his brothers only to find out his whole life was fabricated. It was as tragic, if not more tragic, compared to the first episode in which Pomni has difficulty accepting her new life. Watching Gummigoo experience all that grief and hopelessness was pretty upsetting. But, also, watching Pomni break out of her shell a little and helping someone for the better instead of leaving them be was both heartwarming and excellent development on her part.
- However, what was even more tragic was after all was said and done and Pomni promised Gummigoo a fulfilling life and a valuable friendship… That is swiftly taken away from the both of them. Gummigoo is gone, either killed or sent back to his world. Pomni is left there absolutely distraught that someone she just had a deep connection for the first time was ripped away from her. And in that moment of utter shock and travesty, her sanity goes back to dwindling downwards just as it did before. And finally, viewing the ending scene with the funeral really shows how much the characters grieve over their lost friends. It’s very sad to watch them give their elegies, but also slightly bittersweet to see them come together like this.
- And those last few shots of Pomni seeing this herself and realizing how much they care for each other… She now has more confidence that they care about her, too. Thus, that small little smile at the end and OH MY GOD SHE MEANS THE ABSOLUTE WORLD TO ME-
So , yeah, that my takeaway from that emotional roller coaster of an episode. I cannot wait to see the traumas and crisis that will ensue next time! :D

My friends and I just watched (a few of us for the third time) The Amazing Digital Circus before class. We analyzed it heavily, and here’s what our predictions are:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⚠️Spoilers (duh)
The whole circus is representative of Purgatory, and the six are being tested.
This one seems pretty self-explanatory
Caine seems to be some kind of guardian deity, given the fact that he can snap away Ragatha and Pomni’s glitching in an instant
Bubble seems to represent some kind of Guardian Angel that is there for support.
They are given daily tasks, multiple places to go, and are always under watch from every angle.
Not to mention that the abstractions look like biblically accurate angels…
The photos on the bedroom doors are also seemingly symbolic.
Those who abstracted have large x’s over them, and multiple rooms have wooden toy pose dolls (like the ones that artists use) on them.
We think that those abstracted represent those who failed their test and were damned, the wooden dolls are those who passed their test and have done whatever necessary to save their souls.
Caine seems like he is the one who controls that damnation or repentance, given that he can open holes in the floor and teleport and such.
This brings me into my next theory
Kinger has premonition, or has been through the whole show before.
Okay so listen
His very first line is “did someone say insect collection?” (Or something like that)
When he sees the Gloink queen, he repeats that exact line, almost as if he knew it was coming..?
Also, when Zooble was freed from its stomach, Kinger asked if Zooble had “participated in a game show” (again, ballparking these quotes)
Is this something that he knows that we don’t? Is it something that will happen in the future?
Did he have a vision? Or did he already experience that game show?
Maybe he’s a soul that was damned and was given another chance?
ANOTHER THING I THOUGHT OF-
Maybe he has had premonition of Gangle’s abstraction.
Hear me out- he jumps EVERY time Gangle is near him, almost as if he can’t see her until that moment.
My theory is, he shuts her out because he’s seen her abstraction and doesn’t want to be too attached and grieve when she goes.
Pomni may have been responsible for Kaufmo’s abstraction/Kaufmo responsible for Pomni’s arrival.
Kaufmo didn’t show up the day that Pomni arrived
Obviously we know that this is because he abstracted
But the question is, was it caused by Pomni?
This may be farfetched, but hear me out.
Pomni’s whole design is of a court jester/clown. Her color scheme is directly opposite of Kaufmo’s
Her base colors are red and blue with yellow accents. Kaufmo’s yellow with blue and red accents.
Perhaps Pomni’s arrival was because of Kaufmo’s abstraction, or maybe Kaufmo abstracted when the role of the clown was replaced?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pomni became self-aware
In the beginning, she fell prey to the circus. She thought she was dreaming, forgot her real name, and longed desperately for an exit.
But as the episode progressed, she seemed much more comfortable in the circus.
Naturally, this is probably because of her adjusting to her surroundings, but this is where I started to pay attention.
For starters, Pomni’s name is the Slovenian word for “remember” What’s the story behind this?
When Jax swung the key above her head, she flinched and ducked down. Was this out of fear he’d hit her? Or maybe out of habit?
If out of habit, weren’t they supposed to lose a good chunk of their memories?
When she was being chased by abstracted Kaufmo, she stopped to look in the mirror. She looks deeply into her eyes, realizing that she can see her reflection.
A person cannot see their clear reflection in a dream. If they can, it’s a warbled image and not a true reflection of them.
It’s at this moment that Pomni realizes she’s not dreaming.
When she enters the exit labyrinth, there is a famous scene with her looking at the computer setup and laughing maniacally.
My friends and I think that it’s at this point in which she realizes that she is there for a reason and remembers said reason.
That same computer is revealed at the end after the camera pans out of everything. That is Pomni’s computer (we think). Maybe when she saw that computer, she became self-aware and all of her memories came flooding back.
Thinking back earlier, when Ragatha first got glitched, she had an internal dilemma of saving her new friend, or surviving without a hitch. She left quickly, choosing herself.
Perhaps it’s because she has a mission to carry out?
The scene at the end is symbolic of the Last Supper in Christianity. Pomni is in the center where Christ would have sat. Christ knew that he had a mission to carry out, and now Pomni does too.
The question is her creepy smile.
Is she smiling at the chaos that will ensue?
Or has she finally realized that’s she’s stuck for good and has no way out?
There is more past the void, which is why Caine does not want them to go out there.
Caine is seen in a restaraunt with bubble, one that was not shown during his tour of the grounds.
He’s surrounded by the wooden pose dolls.
As soon as he gets an alert on his watch, he teleports to grab Pomni almost immediately.
He does a shitty infomercial about his watch, complete with pop-up information. Maybe this was for comedic effect, or maybe he did it to let her get a good look of what she wasn’t supposed to see?
Caine lies about the exit, and does everything in his power to keep the six of them stuck in the circus (always keeping an eye on them, alerts to their movement, etc.)
Jax knows more than he leads us to believe
I mean obviously
It’s always the most cocky ones that have the darkest secrets
He’s obviously been in the circus for a while, for he has a great understanding of the lay of the land.
He’s calm when the Gloink queen materializes, and even calmer when the abstracted Kaufmo comes to kick the shit out of it.
Maybe Jax was some kind of caretaker in his real life and is trying to keep everyone calm by putting up a facade of some sort?
“Ladies first? Wait, no, why am I saying that?”
Zooble asks where Pomni is since the mission is for her, Jax shuts them down immediately, giving the excuse of “I can’t hear the escalator.”
That’s probably just for comedy and his cockiness, but what if Jax knew that something was happening with Pomni?
Spy on the inside??
When he pairs up Kinger and Gangle, he claims they’re the two most “mentally stable”. Is this because he’s seen Kinger’s premonition? Or perhaps he’s seen Kinger do this exact mission once in the past..?
I think the seven (including Kaufmo) represent the seven deadly sins.
Okay I’m still trying to piece this one together and I may be cooking nothing BUT LEMME COOK
Oh my god this is so farfetched I love it.
Pride will have to be Kinger/Ragatha. No idea which yet.
Gluttony will also have to be Kinger/Ragatha. No idea which yet.
Lust is DEFINITELY Jax. Not for sexual reasons, but for the fact that he is trying to cause mayhem at any given minute. He strives off of being as unbearably annoying as possible.
Envy may be Gangle. She’s stuck in a perpetual sadness, with her comedy mask being broken every time. Her emotions depend on her mask, and maybe she longs to have
Maybe Kaufmo is wrath? Not sure if it was to protect his friends, but homie was SWINGING on that Gloink. When Gangle questioned, Jax said “Calm down, that’s just Kaufmo, it’ll be alright.”
Sloth is Zooble, with no desire to take part in the activities.
Greed will maybe be Pomni. With all of my previous Schpeels about her, she is very focused on number one. She abandons Ragatha out of “fear”, and she kept trying to exit even though she knows she can’t.

Okay wow that was long- GIVE ME YOUR PREDICTIONS OR EXPANSIONS OF OURS IN THE COMMENTS OR REBLOGS!!!

TADC Theory - The Tape Recorder
A few months ago, I (re)watched the trailer before the next episode was due to drop. And something has really intrigued me since the first time I laid eyes on it:
Tumblr media
Or atleast, what I think is a tape recorder. But let's assume it is for now
When I think of tape recorders in games, I usually think of either Bendy or FNaF: Help Wanted. In both games, the tape recorders are used to give us players the lore of problems going on within the in-lore companies of both games. And since the circus is implied many times to be an old 90s game, I've been thinking:
Could these tape recorders be hidden messages from the dev of the in-world game?
Some of you may know about Shipwrecked 64, the only ARG about a video game that you can actually play as an actual game. There are plenty of hidden tapes you can find as you go further down to discover more of the game's secrets, but I won't say anymore for those who are still discovering them.
In FNaF: Help Wanted, the tape recorders were hidden by a beta tester who knew something was up during development, while in the games of the Bendy franchise, the recorders weren't hidden, but they definitely gave us a whole soup-full of lore about what was going on at the in-world cartoon studio.
One thing I want to note that judging by the atmosphere of the room around the tape, this is during the haunted mansion episode with the little ghost and the teal glowing lady. So either it's part of the adventure, or we may finally get a little bit of backstory behind the mysterious C&A.
Not many people might remember this, but in the pilot, there was a logo that showed up as Pomni was running through the hallways of the (unfortunately fake) exit.
Tumblr media
I myself and a few others have a theory that C&A this is the company that created the game that TADC is. But the real questions are how it became a digital prison, and how did a mere VR headset bring those poor unfortunate souls inside?
I guess we'll have to wait and see.
But anyway, that's all I have for now! If you guys would like to hear more theories from me, just let me know! And hey, whoever spots all the references I slipped into this post gets a cookie and a hug!
Take care everyone and have a great day, afternoon, or night, where ever you are. And remember: stay weird, and God bless you.
