💚💙 Happily Ever After
A gentle melody plucked out on a guitar filled the air, accompanied by the buzz of Remus’ phone vibrating on the nightstand. He groaned against Logan’s side, face tucked between the pillows and his shoulder. “Meus?” Logan whispered, reaching over to stroke his hip.
“Five more minutes, Lo Lo,” he mumbled. “Maybe five more hours?”
Chuckling, Logan rolled over to face him and pushed back the wild mess of green curls covering Remus’ eyes. “I am confident you set an early alarm for a reason this particular morning.”
“Oh, fuck, that’s right!” Eyes snapping open, Remus grinned and pulled him in for a kiss. “Today’s Pat’s tour!”
Logan bounced on the mattress as Remus launched himself off and ran to the closet. He pulled out the long-sleeved green henley and jeans he and Patton had decided on earlier in the week before turning to Logan, gnawing on his lip. “And you’re sure you don’t mind, I mean… that you’re not… upset that I’m the one going?”
Pushing back the covers, Logan slipped out of bed and laid Remus' clothes on the bed. He stepped closer before cupping his cheeks and gently lifting his chin so their eyes would meet. “Of course not, Meus,” he smiled. “His brothers accompanied him to Western and I took him to UW. We’re taking turns. Besides,” he said, tapping Remus’ lip until he stopped biting it. “How could you not go with him to DigiPen? Your games are on the school’s curriculum.”
“Hmph,” Remus bounced on his toes for a moment before pulling him close. He melted into Logan’s arms, breath warm against his neck. “I suppose a little bragging rights could be good for him.”
“He is listed as a tester in your latest,” Logan reminded him.
Remus laughed, low and relaxed at last. “Oh, that kid’s fucking amazing at finding bugs.”
“It is a labor of love for him. Now,” Logan said, pulling back a bit but keeping his arms curled around Remus’ shoulders. “You get dressed and I’ll make sure Patton’s—”
“Hey, Dads?” Patton’s voice preceded a soft rapping at the door. “Are you two up yet?”
Swallowing back a laugh, Logan watched as Remus tugged on the pajama pants that had fallen off the foot of the bed and nodded.
“We’re awake, Patton,” Logan called back.
Moving to grab the rest of his clothes, Remus added, “Yeah, you can come in, Bud.”
The door flung open, bouncing noiselessly against the little knob saver they’d installed last year. Patton leapt inside, arms flung open in a flourish. “Tada!” he cheered, cheeks pink above a wide smile. Dressed in dark blue jeans, new combat boots, and a dark green henley, his outfit was a perfect copy of Remus’. “How do I look?”
“Look at you!” Remus smiled and ruffled his hair. “Givin’ me a run for my money! I think you wear it better than I will. Speaking of…” He patted his own outfit bunched in his other arm.
Patton blushed adorably and turned to Logan for his assessment.
“You look outstanding, Patton,” he agreed, chuckling at Remus’ side-winder dance to the ensuite to shower and dress.
“Really?” he asked. “It’s nothing like my outfit for my other college tours.”
"That is true," Logan admitted. He brushed a bit of imaginary lint from Patton’s shoulder and smiled again. “And while I personally think a necktie is appropriate for any venue—”
“In a swimming pool?” Remus called from behind the closed door.
“At the beach!” Patton added, picking up their usual bit.
“Perhaps for most venues,” Logan laughed. “Your outfit is perfect, Pat. Do you like it?” he asked, meeting Patton’s eyes. “That is what is most important for this occasion.”
“Yeah, I do,” he said, wiggling his shoulders as he scrunched the nubby weave with his fingers. “I like both, but this feels really good.”
“See? It’s perfect, then.” Shower curtain rings squealed, just barely audible over the rush of water and Logan nodded again. “Have you eaten?” At Patton’s head shake, Logan gathered his and Remus’ empty mugs from their nightstands and ushered his son to the hall. “That’s our next order of business, then.”
“To the kitchen!” Patton cried, bounding toward the stairs. “Race ya, Dad!”
💚💙💛 Overruled
Logan’s watch buzzed against his wrist, a gentle but persistent tap luring him from slumber. Craning his neck, he stretched the arm curled around Janus’ shoulders and tapped it with his nose. Eyes still closed and laying across his chest, Remus drew closer with the movement. Logan chuckled. Either still fully asleep or awake and fighting to delay morning for just a bit longer, Remus' grip was strong and warm and the perfect start to their day.
“While it is tempting to remain in bed with you both all morning,” Logan murmured, one hand carding through Remus’ hair, the other rubbing Janus’ back. “Someone must prepare breakfast and I believe it is my turn.”
“I suppose,” Janus mumbled against his shoulder. His lips curled in a little pout as he looked up at Logan with sleepy eyes. “Damn the needs of this mortal coil,” he said, eyes glimmering behind his mask of annoyance.
“That’s not what you said last night, Jannie,” Remus whispered, reaching across Logan to pinch his hip.
Logan laughed when Janus couldn’t quite keep the smile from his face.
“Agh!” he said—quietly—in mock offense. “You promised to never use my own words against me.”
Still laughing, Logan fended off their grasping hands and crawled out from the under the covers. “You shall have to keep each other company for a few minutes,” he said and gave each of them a kiss. Janus accepted his and shifted into the space Logan had left behind, curling around Remus. “For now, I will make breakfast and you’ll both be down by seven? Patton will—”
On cue, their son’s door opened and music poured out into the hallway. With one arm still wrapped around Janus, Remus curled and flexed the other, singing along, “O-G-O, you can take me—”
Janus pressed two fingers to his lips. “Please, Muse,” he whispered. “Just one… Just one day without that song, please.” Remus nodded solemnly and Janus removed his hand.
The moment he settled back against his chest, Remus’ face erupted in a grin as he sang, “It’s fun to stay at the Y-M—”
Janus pulled Remus’ arm over his head, covering his ears. “Muse! I don’t know whether to kiss you or gag you!”
“Oh, Jannie…” Remus purred, pecking his check before pretending to snap at his jaw. “¿Porqué no los dos?”
“Five minutes!” Logan reminded them, shaking his head fondly as he pulled on his robe, then slipped through the door to make his way downstairs.
❤️💙 The Uses of Adversity
Logan caught his morning alarm at the first buzz, tapping at the tiny watch screen at the first vibration.
"Five more minutes?" Roman mumbled into his hair, tightening the arms wrapped around his belly. "Please?"
Chuckling, Logan nodded and covered his arms. "I've already snoozed it," he said, relishing the stolen moment of quiet. "And then we must get up. We have carpool today. And—"
"Mmm," Roman nodded against his back. "And the dress rehearsal. I remember." Shifting even closer, he brushed soft kisses over Logan's shoulder. "He's really great, you know," he said. "His last scene's gonna make you cry."
"I have no doubts," Logan smiled, rolling to meet Roman's next kiss with his own. "I've read your screenplay." The dawn's light fought past a morning haze, painting Roman's sleepy smile and Logan kissed him again. "It's outstanding. And so is Patton. You've really pulled him out of his shell."
"He's got quite a talent." Roman stole another kiss then groaned against Logan's shoulder when his watch began to buzz again. "Five more—"
"Mm-hm," Logan chuckled as he turned off the alarm and peeled back the covers from his side of the bed. "It's time to wake, sweet Prince." Taking Roman's hands, he tugged gently until he sat up. "Come… I'll make you coffee."

Yesterday I went out for a doctor's appointment. The clinic is in this strip of buildings, and near it is a pizza hut. It was around 8:25 at the time, and when we arrived I noticed a seagull standing patiently at the door. I left the car and approached, observing, because birds doing things that are slightly atypical of regular birds is a fun thing to watch.
Tumblr media
The seagull was just standing there. No other gulls were around. There were people about, making noise and cleaning up trash revealed by the snow finally being gone. One rather rude lady did a racism at someone for daring to drop a candy wrapper. Very unpleasant, especially since I knew the lady from previous moments of my life. The person she was racist against later tried to spit on her car but didn't know which one was hers and got the wrong one.
Anyway, the customer. He just sat there. Occasionally he honk, occasionally he bonk. It wasn't a classic gull noise you'd hear at the sea-side, or from later seagulls that will show up. It was more of a honk, definitely, sometimes extended in length. His pecking usually focused at the divide between winder and glass, but sometimes was up on the glass, and always a double-rap of "th-thok".
Intrigued I decided to approach to take a better picture. Once I got up to the pizza hut's bespoke sidewalk area, the seagull began to leave- not in a flurry of wings and rush and panic, but in a tentative sort of waddle away from the door to get a better look at me (I was attempting to hide behind the architecture of the building so as to not spook the customer).
Tumblr media
I then returned to my initial safe distance, and the customer immediately got back in line to continue his task of honking and bonking. He really wanted that pizza, and near as I can tell simply was trying to perform the human ritual. The pizza hut is no longer an eat-in restaurant, instead just a massive building that has had all of its seating area blocked off and reduced to a singular kiosk window. People go to the door, knock, come in, get pizza, leave. So the customer was attempting to do similar, and clearly confused about why it was not working. No za! Why no za!? He do the thing!!
My medical appointment was at 10, so I had some time to kill, and as such I saw no reason not to sit down with my back to one of the strip-mall's pillars and just kinda watch.
Some highlights from this endeavor include;
1: Another gull appeared at some point, and got close to the customer. The customer swiped him away with a dismissive wing swing that held the clearest "yo **** off" I've ever seen from an animal. 2: Another gull appeared at some point, got close, and straight up started screaming in the customer's face. The customer ruffled up about it and screamed back and when their near total scream-argument ended, the aggressor left and the customer got back into position. 3: Another gull, a more normal gull, appeared and briefly roosted up on one of the lamp posts that don't have any light sources. He seemed far more normal as far as birds go.
Tumblr media
Finally, as 9:40 rolled around, I got up to go, and bid the customer farewell. I took one final picture, and then told the customer I hoped he got his pizza. I picked up the soda bottle that was present on the ground before the litterer showed up that the racist lady was mad about- notably she didn't pick it up herself, instead just being racist about it- and took it into the dollar general to throw it away. When I left the dollar general the customer was gone, having left as I turned to leave myself.
Tumblr media
Someone elsewhere asked if the seagull was actually my familiar, but sadly I didn't recognize it.
My girlfriend also (jokingly) suggested letting it in to help it get pizza, but sadly I do not control the Pizza Hut.

It's weird to watch himself through your eyes. The whole thing is weird but this- this is another level. It's like an out of body experience turned up to the max.
Now Bucky watches as he's laid out on a metal table. His arm gone, and he's unresponsive. Doctors are shouting in Russian trying to get him back. Something about a shot of adrenaline, bringing in another doctor.
As he watches he can see you. You are in the room but it doesn't seem like anyone can see you. No one yet at least.
You look haunted. You are donned in all black. Two silver bracelets at your wrists that seem way too tight to be a choice you made for yourself. Silently you walk up to him on the table.
Right until you are above him. Your hand hovers his chest, over the area of his heart. You look clam for a second. But then that changes.
Bucky watches as he comes back to life. And the look on your face changes from calm to horror. His eyes (the him that's on the table) catch yours for a second. It's enough.
It's enough for him to see you, to look at you. To etch your face into his brain for years to come. The look of horror.
"That's impossible." you whisper to yourself.
The doctors swarm Bucky and the table. You begin to back up slowly. With your hands over your own heart you keep going. Back and back until the scenery changes.
This time Bucky is stepped to a chair. A mission completed and he's being erased again. Sometimes it would be quick. A simple wipe and he'd be back to factory settings as depressing as that sounds.
But there were times when it wasn't that easy. Times when he remembered his other life. Not the winder solider but Bucky Barnes. Of his best friend.
This was one of those times.
"Steve?" Bucky asks.
"Wipe him again." someone says.
And then a few buttons click and flick. The electrical current in the room going through his body is silent. But the shaking and the screams are anything but.
Then you appear. Just as his eyelids are about to roll back. You appear out of thin air, dressed in the same dark cloak again. This time you reach out for him. Just as you are about to make contact, the shock being delivered to him stops.
He stops shaking. You retract your hand.
"Ready to comply?" one of the doctors asks.
Bucky nods. He can't see you anymore. He can't see how you back yourself into the corner of the room. Sliding down the wall with tears.
"I'm trapped here." you whimper.
The scenery changes again but this time it's back to the sanctum. Everyone lets out a compilation of words and noises at what they just saw.
Peter sighs, "What did we just see?"
"The answer to our problem." Stephen says.
"I don't get it." Yelena speaks.
"It would take too long to go through every memory seeing as there would be more than a few centuries worth." Stephen says.
"Centu-" Joaquin starts then stops himself.
"Yes. So I complied the most important ones." Stephen goes on.
"These memories hold the solution. Even if we don't know what it means yet." Stephen explains.
At that moment you raise yourself from the table with a gasp. Stephen is at your side, Peter takes your hand from the left. You can't seem to catch your breath.
"It's okay it's over now." Stephen says.
You grunt.
"No it's not. That wasn't it." you wince.
"We can't look again for another twenty hours, your system can't take it." Stephen tries explaining.
You shake your head. "We don't have to. I know where to look. I know where the box is."
"Where is it?" Sam asks.
You look over at his friend. Right at Bucky. With your free hand you point at him. Bucky feels like this is the only moment you've actually looked at him without any disdain in your eyes.

Kansas City Royals-Minnesota Twins Series Preview
8.12.24-Brady Singer RHP (8-7) 3.03 ERA Vs. Pablo Lopez RHP (10-8) 4.74 ERA
8.13.24-Seth Lugo RHP (13-6) 2.72 ERA Vs. TBA
8.14.24-Cole Ragans LHP (9-7) 3.27 ERA Vs. Bailey Ober RHP (12-5) 3.52 ERA
The Royals At A Glance- The Royals had a solid July with a (13-10) record. They went (2-3) on their last homestand against the Red Sox and Cardinals and have a 2.5 game lead in the last American League Wild-Card spot. The Royals traded for Lucas Erceg, Michael Lorenzen, and Hunter Harvey during the deadline. The team released Jordan Lyles and Nick Anderson in July. Bobby Witt Jr. has been on fire since the All-Star Break. He is hitting .459 with six homers and twenty-four RBI. Vinnie Pasquantino has added six homers and twenty-two RBI. The Royals starting staff has a 3.53 ERA, which is third-best in baseball. Seth Lugo has had a fantastic year, Cole Ragans is proving to be the ace, and Brady Singer is finally finding his own in the Majors. The Kansas City bullpen has a 4.28 ERA, which is 24th in the big leagues. James McArthur has locked down eighteen saves, but has a 5.12 ERA. Lucas Erceg has not allowed a run over 6 1/3 innings in a Royals uniform. Sam Long has a 2.36 ERA from the left side.
The Twins At A Glance- The Twins had a good and bad weekend. They swept the doubleheader on Friday from the Indians then lost two straight close games to the Indians. They sit 3.5 games behind the Indians for first place. The injuries have piled up as Brock Stewart needs shoulder surgery and is out for the year, Joe Ryan has a shoulder injury and might not be back to mid-to-late September. Justin Topa was shut down again. Chris Paddack could begin a throwing program soon. The team has been talking to Rich Hill about returning. Zebby Matthews is also a name to watch to make a start for the team. Brooks Lee went on the injured list with a sore shoulder and received a cortisone shot. Carlos Correa has been sprinting on the field and won't begin a rehab assignment until he sees how his foot responds. Byron Buxton has been hot since the All-Star Break. He has seven homers and eleven RBI since the break. Christian Vazquez is hitting .382 since the break. The team is looking at their best starting pitching options past Pablo Lopez, Bailey Ober, and Simeon Woods Richardson. David Festa and Louie Varland might be relied upon in the absenses of Joe Ryan and Chris Paddack. Steven Okert was activated from the bereavement list prior to this series. Randy Dobnak was optioned back to St. Paul to make room on the roster.
What To Watch For- The Twins are (5-2) against the Royals in 2024. They took two of three at Kauffman Stadium to start the year then won three out of four at Target Field in the last week of May. Brady Singer is (3-6) with a 5.18 ERA in twelve starts against the Twins. Byron Buxton has two career homers off Singer. Pablo Lopez is (4-1) with a 2.41 ERA in five starts against the Royals. Seth Lugo has a 1.73 ERA in six games against the Twins. Cole Ragans is (0-2) with a 3.00 ERA in three starts versus the Twins. Bailey Ober is (0-4) with a 7.71 ERA in nine starts against the Royals. For some reason, the Royals have his number and they might know how he tips his pitches or something. Salvador Perez has two career homers off him. The Twins have not announced their starter for Tuesday's game. Zebby Matthews last pitched on Thursday and he would be on normal rest for the start on Tuesday. Josh Winder could get a spot start in a bullpen game as well.

Exhibitions to visit:
The buildings notice me - Adam Art Gallery
Notes on each work:
1. The Round - John Harris & Steven Junil Park
This work is immediately entrancing from all angles, a circular curtain containing wooden half cylinder benches, and a structure comprised of a pile of led lights surrounded by a spinning metal fence, allowing light to pass through the gaps filling the whole room with rotating columns of light, connected to a wooden and plastic base, large needles scrape against the plastic producing a low mechanical sounding whirr.
2. Uku-Paka - Doreen Blumhardt & Students
A three dimensional mosaic sculpture representing a student’s journey.
3. To learn, by leaning into the wind - Megan Brady
Two adjacent staircase like wooden beams, supporting large sheets of hanging cloth with threads selectively removed to create a grid like pattern. One half of the cloth is light gray, the other is dark gray. There is a small rock placed on the end of each beam.
This work also has an additional section in another room of the gallery, in addition to a poem written by the artist.
4. Tūrangahakoa - Brook Konia
A wall sculpture comprised of twelve ascending chevrons made of wooden planks, with a zig zag gap left in the centre. The circular joinery is also visible along the centre.
5. Machine song: Gesture 2 - Jim Murphy
Fours pairs of metal rods sat above each other, slowly rising and falling at one end due to a rotating mechanism. On each pair, rests a silver ball, which rolls along the rods with the rise and fall, making a small clang when it hits the end. This piece feels like watching a tv screen saver and waiting for it to hit the corner.
6. Machine Song: Gesture 3 - Jim Murphy
A three by three grid of metal boxes, in the centre of each is a slowly rotating saw blade shaped disc, with a metal piece touching the top, striking the disc as it passes each blade, making a metallic dinging noise.
7. Architectural photographs - Duncan Winder
A series of black and white photographs displayed in six cases made of white wood and glass, each case containing photographs of a different theme/location in nz, with a photograph on the wall above each case. There is also a large photograph printed on the wall at the ends of the room, depicting an oddly shaped building and a tree with no leaves.
8. Te Whare Pora - Mataaho Collective
A large textile work stitched together from twenty black faux mink blankets into a zig zag like pattern, big enough to fill an entire room.

tips for buying your embroidery machine

Embroidery Machine Essentials: 10 Tips for Navigating the Market and Choosing the Perfect Machine
Embroidery machines have revolutionized the crafting world, allowing individuals to add intricate designs and personal touches to their creations. Whether you're a seasoned sewist or a curious newcomer, investing in an embroidery machine can open up a world of possibilities. However, with a vast array of options available, selecting the right machine can be a daunting task. To help you navigate the market and make an informed decision, here are 10 essential tips for buying your embroidery machine: 1. Define Your Needs and Goals Before embarking on your machine search, take a moment to reflect on your embroidery aspirations. Will you be primarily embroidering clothing, home décor items, or wearable crafts? Do you envision creating intricate designs or simple embellishments? Identifying your priorities will help narrow down your options and ensure you choose a machine that aligns with your specific needs. 2. Set a Realistic Budget Embroidery machines range in price from affordable entry-level models to high-end professional machines. Determine how much you can comfortably spend and factor in additional costs, such as software, supplies, and maintenance. Setting a budget will prevent you from overspending and ensure you prioritize the features that matter most. 3. Consider Hoop Size and Stitch Capacity Hoop size determines the maximum embroidery area you can create. If you plan to embroider large items like blankets or jackets, prioritize a machine with a larger hoop. Similarly, stitch capacity refers to the number of stitches the machine can execute per minute. For intricate designs, consider a machine with a higher stitch capacity to ensure smooth and efficient embroidery. 4. Evaluate Operating System and Software Embroidery machines typically use a proprietary software platform that enables you to upload, edit, and transfer designs. Familiarize yourself with the software's features and ease of use. Some machines offer compatible software suites for enhanced functionality, while others rely on USB connections or other methods for design transfer. 5. Assess Needle Placement and Thread Tension The placement of needles can significantly impact the quality of your embroidery. Machines with multiple needles allow for faster stitching and more complex designs. Thread tension plays a crucial role in creating consistent and professional-looking embroidery. Check the machine's needle arrangement and tension adjustment mechanisms to ensure they align with your desired level of craftsmanship. 6. Explore Embroidering Features and Applications Some machines offer advanced features like automatic thread cutting, bobbin-winders, and lettering tools, while others focus on basic embroidery functions. Consider the features that are most important to you, such as automatic thread color changes, automatic thread trimming, and the ability to embroider over multiple layers of fabric. 7. Research and Read User Reviews Once you've narrowed down your options, extensively research the specific models you're considering. Read user reviews, watch online demonstrations, and consult with experienced embroidery enthusiasts to gain insights into the machines' performance, strengths, and limitations. 8. Consider Local Service and Support Ensure the embroidery machine you choose is backed by a reputable brand with a strong customer service network. Check for local dealers or authorized service centers in your area to ensure prompt support in case of any technical issues or warranty claims. 9. Test Drive Potential Machines If possible, visit a local sewing or embroidery store and test drive the machines that interest you. This will provide you with hands-on experience, allowing you to gauge the machine's ease of use, operation, and overall performance. 10. Seek Expert Advice Don't hesitate to seek guidance from experienced sewers, embroidery enthusiasts, or qualified professionals at sewing or craft stores. Their insights and recommendations can be invaluable in making an informed decision that aligns with your skills, goals, and budget. Embroidery machines can be an investment, but with careful consideration and informed decisions, you can find the perfect machine to enhance your creative endeavors and bring your embroidery dreams to life. By following these essential tips, you'll be well-equipped to navigate the market, select the right machine for your needs, and embark on a rewarding journey of personal expression and artistic exploration.
More tips
- Determine Your Needs: Before purchasing an embroidery machine, it's important to determine what you'll be using it for. Are you a professional embroiderer or will you be using it for personal projects? Will you be embroidering on a variety of materials or just one type? Answering these questions will help you narrow down your options and ensure that you purchase a machine that will meet your needs. Research Different Brands and Models: There are many different brands and models of embroidery machines on the market. Take the time to research different options and compare features. Look for machines with a good reputation for reliability and durability. Consider the Size of the Embroidery Area: The size of the embroidery area is another important factor to consider. If you plan on embroidering large projects, you'll want to look for a machine with a larger embroidery area. On the other hand, if you'll mostly be working on smaller projects, a smaller embroidery area may be sufficient. Look for a Machine with a Large Embroidery Field: A large embroidery field will allow you to work on larger projects, and also give you more flexibility when it comes to placement of your designs. This also means that you can do larger designs, or do more than one designs at a time. Check for Built-in Patterns and Designs: Many embroidery machines come with a variety of built-in patterns and designs. This can be a great feature if you're just starting out, as it will give you a good selection of designs to work with. If you're more experienced, you may prefer a machine that allows you to create and edit your own designs. Consider the Number of Needles: The number of needles on an embroidery machine can have a big impact on the quality of your finished projects. Look for a machine with at least two needles, as this will allow you to change thread colors more easily. Check for a Good Lighting System: Good lighting is essential for precision embroidery. Look for a machine with a bright, adjustable light that will illuminate your work area and make it easier to see your designs. Consider the Price: Embroidery machines can be quite expensive, so it's important to consider the price when making your decision. Look for a machine that offers the features you need at a price you can afford. Look for a Good Warranty: A good warranty can provide peace of mind and protect your investment in case something goes wrong with your machine. Look for a machine with a warranty of at least one year. Consider the Brand Reputation: Research the brand reputation of the machine you are buying. This will give you an idea of the customer support you can expect, as well as the quality of the machine you are buying. In conclusion, when it comes to buying an embroidery machine, it's important to consider your needs, research different brands and models, and look for a machine with a large embroidery area, built-in patterns and designs, a good number of needles, a good lighting system, a good warranty, and a good brand reputation. By following these tips, you'll be well on your way to finding the perfect embroidery machine for your needs.

in the first week of the course I started making a mould for a plaster cast that is themed around a Victorian feel. my brain being how it is decided that I needed all of the ideas at once resulting in none of them being filtered nicely. after very briefly going through some of those ideas It was suggested that I go with a pocket watch, which I then draw with roman numbering, which on the drawing was the wrong way round on numbers 4-8 along with some ideas to go with the design.
Tumblr media
Due to personal issues the clay was not completed at the time. The clay I was initially given had some issues in the lines as someone else had added some to help me progress with it. unfortunately there were a few too many lines too far apart for a pocket watch. this paired with the fact that the clay was drying meant it was easier to start again, though the process for making the mould was quite quick.
Tumblr media
A compass was used for the outer and inner line for the frame and then stamps for the roman numerals were used. all of the larger x stamps had been nicked. I was than told that without the winder so to add the winder I used a T and a C stamp to make the shape. I then used a gouge to remove the clay around the watch, a process that I had started doing in the picture. unfortunately I had forgotten take photos documenting the rest of the process so they will not be included. once I was happy with the look I had to add walls in order to pour the plaster into the mould and seal the points where the different clay sections meet so that the plaster does not leak. I then mixed the plaster by adding in the material in bits and then slowly pushing the powder into the liquid so that it becomes a solution. It was then poured into the mould and left to set. Additionally the inability to change to British spelling is irritating, resulting in mould all being flagged as incorrectly spelt. There will be an additional post of when I see the result.

KNOWING THESE 8 SECRETS WILL MAKE YOUR INVICTA PRO DIVER WATCH LOOK AMAZING
If you're a watch enthusiast, chances are you've heard of the Invicta Watch. It's a popular timepiece among divers, with its classic design and durable build. But owning one is just half the battle – keeping it looking amazing is another task entirely. Here are 8 secrets to ensure that your Invicta Pro Diver Watch stays in top shape.
Clean Your Watch Regularly
The first step to keeping your watch looking great is to clean it regularly. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe away any dirt or grime that may have accumulated on the surface of your watch. Be careful not to use any harsh chemicals that could damage the finish of your watch.
Avoid Exposing Your Watch to Water and Humidity
Although the Invicta Pro Diver Watch is designed to withstand water and humidity, it's still important to avoid exposing it to these elements unnecessarily. When you're not wearing your watch, store it in a dry place and avoid leaving it in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
Use a Microfiber Cloth to Polish the Watch Face
Over time, the face of your watch may start to develop small scratches and scuffs. To minimize the appearance of these blemishes, use a microfiber cloth to polish the watch face. This will help to remove any surface-level scratches and restore the shine of your watch.
Don't Wear Your Watch While Engaging in Heavy Physical Activity
While the Invicta Pro Diver Watch is designed to be durable, it's not indestructible. Avoid wearing your watch during activities that involve heavy physical exertion, such as weightlifting or contact sports. This will help to prevent any unnecessary wear and tear on your watch.

Replace the Battery Regularly
To keep your watch functioning properly, it's important to replace the battery regularly. This will ensure that your watch is always running smoothly and accurately.
Get Your Watch Serviced by a Professional
Every few years, it's a good idea to have your watch serviced by a professional. This will help to ensure that all of the internal components of your watch are functioning properly and will extend the life of your watch.
Store Your Watch in a Safe Place
When you're not wearing your watch, store it in a safe place. Avoid leaving it on a hard surface where it could get scratched or damaged. Consider investing in a watch box or storage case to keep your watch safe and secure.
Use a Watch Winderto Keep Your Watch Running Smoothly
If you don't wear your watch every day, consider investing in a watch winder. This device will keep your watch running smoothly and accurately, even when you're not wearing it.
In conclusion, owning an Invicta Pro Diver Watch is a great investment for any watch enthusiast. By following these 8 secrets, you can keep your watch looking amazing for years to come. Remember to clean your watch regularly, avoid exposing it to water and humidity, use a microfiber cloth to polish the watch face, avoid wearing it during heavy physical activity, replace the battery regularly, get it serviced by a professional, store it in a safe place, and use a watch winder to keep it running smoothly.
