this is a poll for a movie that doesn't exist.
It is vintage times. The powers that be have decided to again remake the classic vampire novel Dracula for the screen. in an amazing show of inter-studio solidarity, Hollywood’s most elite hotties are up for the starring roles. the producers know whoever they cast will greatly impact the genre, quality, and tone of the finished film, so they are turning to their wisest voices for guidance.
you are the new casting director for this star-studded epic. choose your players wisely.
Previously cast:
Jonathan Harker—Jimmy Stewart
The Old Woman—Martita Hunt
Count Dracula—Gloria Holden
Mina Murray—Setsuko Hara
Lucy Westenra—Judy Garland
The Three Voluptuous Women—Betty Grable, Marilyn Monroe, and Lauren Bacall
The Agonized Mother—Mary Philbin (rip)
Dr. Jack Seward—Vincent Price
Quincey P. Morris—Toshiro Mifune
Arthur Holmwood—Sidney Poitier
R.M. Renfield—Conrad Veidt
The Captain of the Demeter—Omar Sharif (rip)
The First Mate of the Demeter—Leonard Nimoy (rip)
Mr. Swales—Ed Wynn (rip)
The Correspondent for The Daily Graph—Ethel Waters
Dracula in dog form—Frank Oz with a puppet
Sister Agatha—Angela Lansbury
Mrs. Westenra—Gladys Cooper
Dracula's solicitors—Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee
Van Helsing is described at length in the novel. He is Dr. Seward's old mentor, possessing "an iron nerve, a temper of the ice-brook, an indomitable resolution, self-command, [....] and the kindliest and truest heart that beats." According to Mina, he is "a man of medium height, strongly built, with his shoulders set back over a broad, deep chest and a neck well balanced on the trunk as the head is on the neck. The poise of the head strikes me at once as indicative of thought and power. The head is noble, well-sized, broad, and large behind the ears. The face, clean-shaven, shows a hard, square chin, a large resolute, mobile mouth, a good-sized nose, rather straight, but with quick, sensitive nostrils, that seem to broaden as the big bushy brows come down and the mouth tightens. The forehead is broad and fine, rising at first almost straight and then sloping back above two bumps or ridges wide apart, such a forehead that the reddish hair cannot possibly tumble over it, but falls naturally back and to the sides. Big, dark blue eyes are set widely apart and are quick and tender or stern with the man's moods." Van Helsing tends to talk through funny stories and bizarre metaphors, is one of the first to consider the supernatural in Lucy's illness, and comes from Amsterdam.
#dracula daily#dracula casting#silly times#hotvintagepoll#minis#rip to all the hotties who did not make a slot. lawrence criner van helsing you will be always be famous (to me) (in my mind)

"There were jolly playmates there, too—“Uncle” Davy’s children and “Aunt” Diana’s children." (Rainbow Valley).
I tried to guess the ages of all the children:
Fred Jr. Wright - 19
Anne Cordelia Wright - 17
Jack Wright - 15
Jem Blythe - 13
Walter Blythe - 12
Nan and Di Blythe - 10
Shirley Blythe - 8 (although he wasn't in Avonlea - he spent the summer with Susan)
Rilla Blythe - 6
Davy's children - nothing is known of them, except that Davy got married not long before the events of Anne of Ingleside ("It's not so lonesome now since Davy got married..." - Anne of Ingleside). There is no mention of any babies or toddlers in Green Gables at this time, though, so I suppose that Davy's children might be close to Rilla's age or younger - so basically very young.
The possible dynamics between the kids/teenagers:
I think that the twins would adore and dote on Davy's babies and Rilla could play with the older ones. Jem and Jack might be chums, especially since they seem to have similar personalities. Walter and Anne Cordelia were described as very imaginative, so I can see them as getting along very well. Anne Cordelia would probably be a sort of "big sister" to the twins and dote on little Rilla. I see her as being especially close to imaginative Nan (since the girls shared the same name and similar personalities). Fred might be a sort of... mentor to Jem, especially since Jem was at the age he might begin to think that "the girls" weren't quite so yucky after all.
Do you have any other ideas/headcanons for the friendships between Anne's and Diana's children? I always felt sorry that they weren't closer in age and leaving near each other.

I would love to hear your opinion and if you'd like to see something like this. Basically just one large masterpost! Message me and tell me your thoughts!!!! I'm open to ideas!

Maxine Walter. “Red Top.” Harlem, 1972.
A 16 year old Millionaire who worked for Frank Matthews and Frank Lucas in the 1970’s. Red Top would come to school in fur coats, and brag to her teachers about how she could make $300,000 in a month. Red Top would take her teachers and classmates on shopping sprees as well.
Frank Matthews respected her hustle, and gave her, her own stamp on her work called “DOA.” Dead on Arrival. Her beauty was admired by the dealers, causing an issue between Peewee Kirkland and Freddie Myers.
Red Top ran with other Harlem juggernauts such as West Indian Chuck, Stevie Baker, and Cisco Kid.
Red Top was k*lled accidentally by Nicky Barnes’ bodyguard who went by the name Black Sunday, as he attempted to k*ll a man who owed Nicky money.
Nicky Barnes paid Sammy Davis Jr. to sing at her funeral, and all the big time dealers from Harlem showed up to pay their respects.
When Red Top passed away her family found $4 Million at one of her condos in Riverdale. She owned two Cadillacs, one was black on black, and the other was white with red interiors.
Red Top was 17 years old at the time of her passing
