Psst🤫 I heard yall like him so there is more of him ;)
I wanted to draw him in 2 fits but ended up with 4 lol, ANYWAYS now you have to read my headcanons brainrot bout him:
1. casual fit - I imagine him wearing fits like this all the time, at school at home just everywhere (it gives that old money rich boy energy)… in my head this is like during time when Peter got his spidey powers, still “happy” times, at this point he is very close with Peter and Mj, he spends most of his free time with them or at Peters place bc he don’t like to be home alone (yea in my version Norman is still the same shitty father, but at this point Harry still tries to get his attention)
2. formal fit - there is nothing really much to it, just wanted to draw him wearing suit lol (he wears it often tho to some kind of formal events, u know, rich people stuff)
3. Venom (hell yea) - pretty self explanatory, this is like 1 year after Peter became spiderman which means he have now less time for Harry and Mj, he have lot of work with hero stuff and S.H.I.E.L.D. and also at this time his team (why they didn’t gave team name at usm, I’m gonna call them Spidey team for now lol) starts attending same highschool as them, SO Peter is very secretive and his lame excuses don’t really work on Harry so he is angry about it, feels jelaous about Peter spending more time with other people and their friendship naturally starts slowly falling apart… therefore when Harry finds Venom he doesn’t really hesitate and takes it (yea he wears those venom watches like in show) and for while he become black suit spiderman, but as plot goes on due to his emotions (anger + daddy issues, this guy is mess) he slowly starts loosing control of Venom (he is somewhat still aware of his actions but he is way more agressive and brutal, also attacks Norman). There is like lot of fights between him and Spidey team, but at some point peter finds out about harry being venom so he instead of fighting tries his other super power - let’s talk about it, which obviously doesn’t work. His team still fights him as they seems to belive it is best way how to handle it… later harry also finds out about spideys secret identity so it become even more personal and messy… during last fight peter is one who defeats harry and takes away venom from him
4. post venom - harry now doesn’t really have anyone to trust, he doesn’t wear fancy clothes anymore (he wants to distant himself from the name Osborn), he starts smoking and skipping classes (maybe he even drops out of school but still not sure about that), Peter obviously tries to fix their friendship but it’s still broken beyond repair… althouh they know each others secrets they both won’t share it with world (they might not be friends anymore but they aren’t assholes). Also- I gave him scar, which is probably not from Peter but rather Ava (she scratched his face during one of the figts or something)
This is obviously not everything (it’s like season 1) but the post is already way too long. Also sorry for how shitty my writing is (ain’t writter, just artist), but I still hope you enjoyed my rant :))

This is so bad folks.
1) “Symbiote is not sure that he’s good for Brocks”.
Why are we spinning in the same spot now?? That conflict was resolved in “Venom War” ffs.
2) “Venom almost got Eddie killed”
It’s their regular Sunday bro.
3) “Venom considers Dylan their son”.
“Considers”? “CONSIDERS”? I don’t like that he used that particular word. If they are backpedaling out of symbrock SCRAPS they provided us in last 2 years, I’m gonna kick their asses!
4) “Safer place” where symbiote is “very happy” to leave his son.
Are you TRYING to slap me with a stinky trash bag across my fat face and pretend it was a light breeze?? Because I’m not buying it. This is bullshit.
Venom doesn’t know MJ (she rejected symbiosis with him). He doesn’t know Paul. He didn’t have time to know them. MJ HATES SYMBIOTES.
Nor MJ nor Paul is friends to Venom family.
Sleeper was there. Flash Thompson was there. Why those two fuckers who wasn’t even present in the room when Venom War ended??
MJ was busy trying to fuck Peter behind her “boyfriend” back!!
“Very happy” my ass.
Fucking shit.
What a mischaracterisation. What a downgrade.
0/10
I don’t wanna read this bullshit

Its been a while since I've talked in length about comics so lets talk about the MJ/Venom situation and its gonna be a long one.
If you don't know. MJ was revealed to be the new Venom and the most recent issue revealed how. And the reaction has been....mixed. Well, more negative than anything.
The issue Isn't that MJ is Venom (tho that in itself has problems) its the journey of how we got here. MJ has been through the ringer that last 3 years with Marvel seemingly going out of there way to make her character less and less about Peter and in the process finding out that they have no clue what to do with her.
So this started with Marvel wanting to break her up with Peter okay sure sucks, but whatever, but the WAY they go about doing it was in a lack of a better term insane. (sent to a hell dimension for 5 years and forced into a situationship with a guy who killed 6 billion people) all while not giving her any agency.
So Marvel fucked up with MJ and people are big mad so what do they do? They make her a super hero named Jackpot of course. That'll shut people up right? Except she gets her powers from Paul the guy everyone hates, her powers have a insane flaw built into them (its a slot machine type of device where if it rolls 3 skulls she dies a agonizing death...why was this intentionally programed??). So her super hero persona all leads to Paul who is a character that everyone hates and is the reason for this mess.
So Jackpot was a flop. No one likes it and the 2 books she had were dog water and Amazing Spider-Man is getting re-launched with Joe Kelly who said that MJ won't be in the book anytime soon. Okay so now Marvel is left with a question. One they've been asking for the last 3 years. What do we do with MJ?
The answer they came up with was make her the new Venom I guess. Fuck it why not. Lets give it to a writer who wrote some of Marvel best books surely he can make the best out of a bad situation.
Unfortunately I don't think Al Ewing can save this idea because of Paul. Paul is still around and he's getting plenty of screen time. And people hate that. The hate he gets can seem like blind passion, but we must remember that hate doesn't come from nothing and it doesn't help that Paul is very unlikable and is the literal cause of all of MJ suffering and oh he also killed 6 billion people, but its okay cus he said he was sorry.
So back to MJ being Venom. The idea is shoddy on paper givin the idea of making every Spider-Man character a super hero is dumb, but her being Venom has potential givin she has history with the symbyiote.
Only problem. I feel like this could be much more interesting if she was ya know...dating Peter. Or even not dating him just having him in her life. Literally just not have Paul with her.
Because its explained that when MJ used her powers she rolled 3 skulls and her powers started disintegrating her body at a molecular level (again why the fuck is this a feature???) and the symbiote saw this and decided to save her life by bonding with her. Cool I guess, but what is Paul's reaction do his gf essentially experiencing torture and a painful death? He gets mad that he and her haven't been intimate recently and also mad she didn't tell him immediately.
Classy guy. The worst part is the book seems to be painting him in the right. I know everyone wants MJ and Paul to break up, but if HE'S the one to do it and the book paints him as justified then thats not gonna make people happy at all.
Now. Even if Paul isn't in the picture we still have a problem. See the bond MJ did with the symbiote isn't a traditional one. The symbiote can move freely on its own without MJ controlling it. So. Even in this desperate attempt to give MJ the spotlight and something to do she somehow still has very little agency.
She's not the one controlling Venom. She's just a passenger. The symbiote is there to just keep her alive and thats it. What does this do for her as a character? Cus I don't see much potential other than some fun shloch which is fine, but after 3 years of MJ being treated like shit this needed to be the saving grave and I don't think it is.
I don't blame Al Ewing too hard. He was played a bad card and was probably over confident that he could make this work, but he clearly hasn't made it work.
This book isn't gonna last much longer. There is a Venom/Carnage/ASM crossover coming this September so that'll more than likely end with MJ being separated from the symbiote and going back to "normal", but what happens after? Will her and Peter reconcile? Will she become a supporting character in ASM again? Will Paul still be around by that point? Or will none of that happen and she'll still be with Paul, and Marvel will just throw her in limbo for a while. Or even throw her and Paul to a different book to ruin.
Who knows.
All I know is Marvel needs to get there shit together, but I have pretty much lost all faith in them when it comes to 616 Spider-Man. Until I see actual major changes my comic reading eyes will be elsewhere (Ultimate Spider-Man) and I'll only dip in every now and then out of curiosity.

More spider stuff. I did the band one very abruptly but I like it. Last two drawings are older.
Update: added one more picture to end this group. It’s another older one. Some b-boys (and one girl).
Update 2: Now that I have some coffee in my system I can actually write more stuff about my AU. Read below if you’re interested.
-In my AU Hobie does not have spider powers, he never got bitten. He created a movement using the Spider-Man costume as a symbol and a disguise from the police. He doesn’t need powers to fight against injustice. The other spiders find out about him and he becomes a honorary spider cuz they appreciate his work and they think it’s super cool. Also like what more punk than fighting with no powers? Anyway that’s why is patrols are more sporadic, Peter does it on purpose cuz he doesn’t have powers and doesn’t want him getting severely injured. He’s the only spider on foot. Also he’s a parkour kid.
-The other spiders involved are Jessica, Julia and Anya.
-Valerie (the OG spiderwoman) is also in the story but she’s retired from her role and lives in upstate New York. She comes by though to visit. Her and the older spiders are like siblings (she would be like the oldest sibling). The older spiders call her Val and the younger spiders call her Ms. V.
-Everyone loves Valerie. She’s great honestly.
-Judge is also in the story but he’s next door to Ganke and Miles’s room instead of rooming with them.
-Peter and MJ have a daughter.
-Ganke’s mother knows that Miles is Spider-Man. She finds out before his parents by accident.
-Billie has High-functioning autism.
-Don’t know if I made this obvious or not but like…many of the spiders are not straight. Not all of them but like…many of them.
-The younger spiders have to be extra careful with injuries. Especially when it comes to school. One time Miles wasn’t careful and teachers started getting very concerned and it almost turned into a…big situation.
-Ganke and Venom become buddies.
-Ganke’s grandparents on his mom’s side passed away when he was a kid. Ganke doesn’t have a close relationship with his grandparents on his dad’s side but he is pretty close with his Uncle on his dad’s side. His mom was an only child.
-Ganke’s mom gets really sick at one point and his Uncle helps out a lot during this time.
-Miles is a terrible liar due to his anxiety. Ganke is the smooth talker out of the both of them. Miles tries to smooth talk and…it just doesn’t go well.
-Whenever the go past the music store for Ganke the owner lets Miles fuck around on the drums in the music room. But the rule is that a) if you break it you buy it and b) if a customer comes in and wants to see the drum set he has to get off. Same for Ganke and the keyboards.

Mj redhead fat ass now has venom tentacles.... She really wasn't kidding when she said she was a jackpot

"And you are?" She said scratching her head as to why an odd looking little girl was in her apartment. "Look, if your looking for Peter, we split-up like three months ago."

ALL-NEW VENOM #4 SPOILERS
ok, I actually had to read this issue because well... Flash Thompson is here and I'm just living up to my obsession. so, uh, here we go I guess
Let's start with the fact that Flash is doing his best to keep Toxin and Sleeper, who have been arrested, safe. Although he has made some deals, he doesn't seem to have kept any of them.

It's really cool to see that he's feeding them. And Toxin doesn't look too good and is worried about Bren, which is fair enough since they get along well as host/symbiote.

Okay, Flash, you could have been less of a jerk about that. I still can't believe they made him say something so insensitive. Well, be an idiot, but be a quiet idiot please.

I have nothing to say about this entire panel. I'm just very sad about this situation...They are being treated like prisoners ready to be deported or worse, and THIS IS CRUEL. Toxin just wants its host back.
I can't describe Flash's reaction to hearing this. It's hard to say. He's still very lucky, or almost. A little, at least.
And I wonder why he still keeps his friends at bay. I mean, ever since Venom War and that short interaction with Peter, they haven't spoken. And then... well, it seems complicated that he's in this situation now and trying his best not to screw it up.

Sleeper 'chilling' like a normal cat. Of course, he has a plan I imagine, after all, he is one of if not THE strongest symbiote on Earth and one of the most intelligent too. Well, that's for later.

This lady is a complete symbiote hater. and Flash is defending the symbiotes, as he should!!

and... oh I have so much to say about this...
This lady wants to exterminate the symbiotes and arrest their hosts, worse, she wants to ARREST THREE CHILDREN for having been hosts of symbiotes.
That's the deal! Flash is at least trying to keep the kids safe from getting arrested, I understand why he needed to send Dylan to MJ since she's a superhero now and it should be easier for her to deal with the situation, although it is not easy. (Paul is still the problem, we can't forget that)

and I want to add that... this lady is completely crazy. she is blackmailing Flash using Dylan's security... Well, when this run started, I imagined that he would go after Venom to find out where they were and who the new host was to help Dylan in some way. I just didn't imagine it would be under threat...
and then let's go a little further forward that, honestly, I don't care so much about Madame Mesque being evil and working for Modok.
so the cool part is that Sleeper is controlling Rick Jones. they are Sleeper Agent, now!

and it's adorable that they went to Venom's rescue. yeah that's adorable
but ok, overall this issue was short and didn't have much of Dylan, I missed him :((
it explained a few things. and no mention of Eddie and his side adventure which is curious to me.
Well, I don't know what to expect from the next issue, we'll have the reveal of the host who is (please, I hope everyone who said it was Paul is wrong). and I don't know, maybe a hunt?
I just know that all of this is terrible.
I hope Dylan shows up next time.

I recently realized Johnny Storm has never really appeared in a significant role in a Spider-Man series, nor has the Web-head been properly featured in a Fantastic Four show, and so their friendship has remained pretty much completely un-adapted.
Somehow, despite being best friends for years and appearing in numerous animated shows, the only thing to give a proper team up with Spider-Man and The Human Torch is a Disney Junior show.

Like, the only other times I can recall them even interacting was Spider-Man TAS, where Johnny had a small role in Secret Wars, and Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, where Peter is a nameless photographer Johnny hired (although that was due to rights issues) and Scarlet Spider making a cameo in the 90s FF show. Spectacular Spider-Man WOULD have had Johnny in at least one episode, but since it was a Sony production and could only use Spider-Man characters, those plans, as well as plans to use any other Marvel hero was scrapped. Licensing issues are also why Amazing Friends created Firestar instead of using Johnny and why the FF show from that time created H.E.R.B.I.E.

Somehow, despite Disney and Marvel, basically owning the rights to everything in regards to animated shows. They still haven't.
Even with a new Spidey show coming out every few years, still nothing. Even when every show tries to throw in a bunch of other Marvel heroes, no Johnny. I mean, it's especially odd when the antagonistic dynamic Peter had in Ultimate Spider-Man with Nova felt like they were trying to write him like how Peter and Johnny were early on.
I mean, each show has had a habit of making Peter's supporting cast other superheroes, or at times turning his supporting cast INTO superheroes (Ultimate made Harry both a hero and villain as Black Suit Spider-Man, Venom, Patrioteer, and Anti-Venom, and made MJ Spider-Woman via the Carnage symbiote. While 2017 had Harry be Hobgoblin) but not have included the guy, who's arguably been Peter's best friend for years and already is a superhero! (Though that may be because Marvel didn't want to use the FF or X-Men, as they felt it would promote Fox's movies. Which was stupid and petty, but might be the reason).
And now, another show has not only made another Marvel hero be Peter's best friend, but they made the Future Foundation suit, the outfit Peter wore when he took Johnny's place on the FF, per his last will and testament, something given to him by Norman Osborn!
That might have come off like I dislike the new show, I haven't seen it yet, so I can't judge its quality, and I'm not going to, off that alone. This post isn't really meant to criticize anything, really. Just voice something I've noticed recently and how odd I find it. I guess it doesn't really matter, but I like Peter and Johnny's friendship, and I wish it was in more things than just the comics. Marvel Rivals seems to acknowledge it, though.

Ultimate Spider-Man (2024) 8-10
So the artist is definitely taunting us right
Because... I mean...
...Anyway. Peter's duplicated mind is definitely not dangerous in any way. It can speak and has an evil smile.
Perfectly reliable. (I need to write smut.)
Actually I don't even need to write anything because the selfcest writes itself. But it's time to celebrate the kids' birthday, so Peter has no time to challenge his conception of his own sexuality. His trysts with Harry are already quite charged.
Then we have a flashback to three weeks ago, because the comics's pacing makes it awkward that way. Wouldn't have to do that if you had more pages, honey! Or if it wasn't per month. Remember, Iron Man arrived just as Peter and Harry were beating each other and testing their AI. Peter's is very lovely (as we've seen), and Harry's daddy issues incarnated since it's his own father. What a stupid choice.
I don't like how this Tony looks, but I'm glad to see the bisexuality is still present. Tony says the Maker returns "in a little over a year" (so probably after two years all in all, I thought it would only be one year but okay). Why does he return, actually? To get beat up? Because that's what's gonna happen.
Anyway, turns out Harry wasn't on the list of heroes who HAD to be eradicated. Peter was, but not Harry, because of course he wasn't. Wow, I bet their relationship will have no trouble whatsoever.
Peter gives Tony a chance, but Harry's fixated on the fact that Tony totally broke his suit's security. Because weakness. Because daddy issues.
Back at the kids' party, Ben tries to make Peter subtly understand that he and Jameson are an item.
He mostly fails. Anyway, the paper launches the following month (September, then). It took its time. And they want Peter there. He's not sure about it.
The party looks nice. I was finally able to play one of these dance things in Japan a few months ago and let me tell you, it's really hard. But it's fun.
Funny, that's what Ben said about Jameson.
I love this kid. He's great. Hope nothing happens to him because so far he's completely exceeded my expectations.
It's clear that the kid feels very lonely too (pretty sure that's shown in the early issues as well), but Jameson gifting him his autobiography is priceless. What a fascinating relationship. He published it himself! Fits with his autoentrepreneur thing.
Meanwhile, Fisk contacts the other gang leaders.
Yeah, still hot.
The leaders are clearly the minibosses. So beside Martin Li, we get Black Cat (Felicia's father), Mysterio (<3), Kraven, and... Mole Man. Alright. In the cliffhanger, Fisk says he wants to make a game out of his enemies... is he going to make them fight each other? It's not gonna be difficult then, Harry's one joke away from choking Peter. And I do not only mean sexually, although yes, that too.
Ish 9!
Ben and Jameson are not satisfied about their articles; too much about Spidey, not enough about the dark side of the Big Apple.
About some SPECTACULAR content?
Anyway, MJ explains that actually, It's Good, because they're very successful right now.
In his lab, Otto gives Harry a firmware upgrade. For Spidey, his solution is a costume change.
Peter confers with his AI that's totally not swallowing him up in his sleep.
Bingo.
Unfortunately for Otto, Peter is already in a fully committed relationship with his current suit. So Peter suggests the suit stays at PETER'S HOME TO PROTECT IT. SURELY NOTHING WRONG WILL HAPPEN. I need more conversations between these two. Give me more than crumbs!
Anyway, it's all so Tony can't track them down, which I find... kind of strange but alright. Peter doesn't seem too attached to the idea either.
I expected a black suit, I wanted to hate it, but not gonna lie... IT's kind of cool. But yeah it's really giving Sonyverse!Venom movies. I'm here for it!
Peter's... not into it. It's too *complete*.
He opts for a spandex suit. Booooring.
God Harry's really trying to make them a thing. Peter's bisexuality is still buried.
Meanwhile, Ben and Jameson investigate Stark/Stanne Industries. Sure.
Anyway, Black Cat arrives and fights our heroes.
Not very heterosexual, mister.
Eventually, Harry acts on instinct, spurred by his dad, and yeets BC out of the building. BC is almost dead.
Peter's *not* happy about it.
Okay, yandere.
Just kiss already argh
I'm very impressed with how much the book accomplishes in its short amount of pages but goddamnit everything here also deserves 5 times more exploration.
Oh, what the hell. Let's read ish 10 as well!
It's focused on Ben and Jameson's investigation, which I do not really care about. They get closer to Stark/Stanne Industries's acquisition, which leads them to Oscorp, so to Gwen, who gave them the money in the first place.
Her reaction?
Very understandable.
Later, Richard (the son) checkmates Peter, and MJ informs Ben that Gwen called her.
Oh, those shadows on Peter's shirt were not necessary.
Anyway, Gwen has a week until the story comes out. Ouch.
And when Harry enters the Paper's office, Ben drops the bombshell: they think either Harry or his wife are in the green suit. (Which leaves the question of Spidey open... They must have an inkling, surely.)
Harry's reaction?
Well, well, well...
They just keep on giving each other money for bets they made. Kind of golden.
Harry quickly gets tired of these gay ass old men, but he tells them about Oscorp's secret intel about a lot of stuff, and says that Peter says he can trust them. So they must now know he's Spidey.
KISS.
Anyway, finally, they publish their story...
"Photo by Peter Parker" and then published by a "Ben"... HMM. THAT SURE IS DIFFICULT TO FIGURE OUT.
That's it for today! See you, like, in December or January for the next few issues <3

starlight [ficmas day 11] [peter parker x afab!reader]

↳ masterlist ↳ ship exchange ↳ taglist ↳ ficmas 2024
author's note: we're in the home stretch of ficmas which means these will likely be shorter drabbles but HEY you'll get more of them.
playlist:
peter parker -- the sleepy haunts
thank you -- led zeppelin
cold december night -- michael buble
I. Gemini
"Do you think he realizes he's had Cheez-it crumbs stuck in his mustache this entire time?" you ask, twirling your pencil between your fingers.
Peter narrowed his eyes at what you were looking at, which happened to be your Professor. To be completely honest, he had stopped listening to the lecture a while ago.
"I don't think he notices."
"Ridiculous," you groaned, sinking back into your seat. "This class is ridiculous."
Peter stifled laughter. It was fall quarter at the local community college, and he had met the first day in Astronomy 101. He had to take an elective, and this one was the least likely to ruin his Spider-Man duties. You sat down right next to him on the first day and introduced yourself before offering him goldfish. It was a fast friendship.
"You only have a few more weeks until winter break," Peter reminded you, trying to engage back with the lesson. You were doodling stars.
"Ah, a few more weeks until hibernation." You grinned at Peter, one full of teeth and mischief. He felt his heart rate pick up, but he stamped it down. He couldn't get close to you, not like that. You resumed sitting normally in your seat. "Do you have plans for the holidays?"
"Uh…no," he tapped his notebook. He had been trying his best to ignore the holidays. They'd be the first ones without Aunt May. "My family isn't really in the picture."
"That's okay," you responded. "Mine aren't either."
Peter respected how understanding you could be. You never pushed him to open up, even if you did push him to engage with the world outside. You never asked why he'd sometimes be covered in cuts and bruises. You just handed him a bandaid and told him about some puppy you saw walking over the class. He wonders if you knew how amazing you could be.
"What do you want for Christmas, Pete?" you inquired. You pulled a bag of goldfish out of your backpack and offered some to him. He took a few.
My Aunt. Ned. MJ. Mr. Stark. My life, Peter wanted to say. He bit his tongue, thinking of an answer.
"Maybe a soldering station."
"Nerd," you teased, but there was no venom behind it. "I want Drew Starkey at my doorstep."
"How's that going for you?"
"Awful," you sighed, and Peter couldn't help but laugh. A few rows looked over to glare at you two. You flipped them all off. Students started getting up at that moment, and class ended. You stretched, your bones cracking in the process. "Let's go get pho; it's freezing outside."
Peter didn't even really like pho, but you liked it, so he'd go. He'd go wherever you asked.
II. Canis Major
Knock knock. Knock knock.
Peter groaned, shuffling out of bed. There was someone knocking on his window. He had a good feeling about who that someone was.
You were sitting on his fire escape, breathing on the glass of his window and drawing obscene images with your finger. He opened the window to your grin.
"It's four in the morning," Peter groaned, rubbing his eyes.
"Put on your business clothes; there are shooting stars that can be seen at Battery Park."
"Astronomy class is over; we're on break now."
"And stars are beautiful. Beauty should be appreciated," you said, shoving your hands in your pockets. You were wearing a scarf and mittens, your hair pushed back with your beanie. Peter didn't know how long you'd been out there. "I appreciate you, don't I?"
Sometimes, Peter hated you because you said things like that, which made his ears red and his words stop working. He thinks you continued to say them because of that reaction.
"I'll get dressed."
"Atta boy."
He put on his warmest clothes and followed you down the fire escape. You had brewed coffee at home and handed him a thermos. You were always prepared; that much was sure. On the subway, it would only take half an hour on the E to get to Battery Park. It was basically empty when you guys got on. You sat in companionable silence as you rode the distance.
Peter was slightly more awake by the time you got off the subway, the cold air helping with his drowsiness. You were annoyingly perky for the early morning. He followed you up one of the hills to an alcove of trees. You had brought a backpack with you, which you pulled a blanket out of, and some hand warmers. Peter sat down next to you as you stared at the sky with the energy of a kid on Christmas.
"Aren't you excited?" you whispered.
"I'll be excited when I'm dead."
"I forget how snarky you are when you're tired," you frown. Peter chuckles because he doesn't think you're used to someone being as witty as you are. You grab his arm when the first shooting star appears. He has to admit that it's beautiful and insane. It was a meteor shower in the flesh, and you both sat peacefully and watched the stars crash by. You leaned against Peter, your warmth finding solace in his own. You smelled like fresh coffee and winter mornings. You turned to him, face so close to his own. "Make a wish, Parker."
Peter could've wished for a whole lotta things, but for some reason, he settled on more moments like these. He wondered what you wished for.
You both stayed until the sun started to rise.
"Will you come and spend Christmas with me? It's just my Dad, and he has to work the night shift."
Peter said yes because he could never say no to you.
III. Orion
You and your Dad prepared roast ham with scalloped potatoes and steamed vegetables for Christmas dinner. Peter didn't remember the last time he had a home-cooked meal.
He liked your Dad, even if he was intimidating. He was the police chief, so he was intimidating, but he also had a fatherly warmth that didn't make him seem scary. Peter thought he probably wouldn't be upset to be arrested by him.
Your Dad had to run to the station for Christmas shenanigans and left you and Pete with some dessert that he bought at the bakery down the street. Currently, Peter is on dishwashing duty. You were sipping some wine that you found in a cabinet and leaning against the lip of the sink. Peter was soaping up one of the pans.
"I got you a gift," you say, grinning like a Cheshire Cat. Peter groans.
"I told you not to."
"I'm not a good listener."
"I knew that much," Peter mumbles. You laugh, squeezing his arm as you walk to the living room behind him. You come back a second later with a ribbon-tied package. Peter dries his hands. "You really shouldn't have."
"I like giving gifts," you shrug. "Now open it."
He does. It's a series of pocketbooks about different mathematical theories. He's embarrassed about how excited he is about them. Peter hugs you as a thank you.
"I got you something as well."
"Now, who's not a good listener?" you said matter of factedly. Peter goes to his bag, grabs a haphazardly wrapped package, and hands it to you with a blush on his cheeks. You take apart the wrapping delicately, even though it's badly done. You let out a squeal of delight as you see what it is. "A cat!"
"A robotic cat. It'll purr if you pet it," Peter explains, showing the inner workings of the cat. He used the college's engineering lab for their 3D printer, soldering station, and electronics supplies. He knew you wanted a pet, but your apartment wouldn't allow it. You cuddled the boxy creature to your chest.
"It's perfect," you hummed. You put the cat down and kissed Peter on the cheek. His cheek still burned after the fact, and suddenly, he wanted to tell you everything. You had been his only friend since everything happened. You were the most understanding person he knew. And he was so tired of hiding everything.
“Y/N?”
"Hmm?"
"Can I tell you something?" Peter coughed. He looked down at your hands, which you were holding. He didn't even recognize you grabbed his hands after you kissed his cheek; he was so focused on the latter. You nodded, brows furrowed, telling him to continue on. The words were mush in his throat, but he pushed through anyway.
"I'm Spider-Man," he stuttered. He expected you to freak out, to demand answers. You just blinked at him.
"I know."
"You know?"
"I'm perceptive," you shrugged. He was dumbfounded. "You're cute when you're confused." He was even more dumbfounded. You stepped backward, pulling him towards your room. "I have a secret too."
Peter was now in a state of shock since it seemed that you already knew his biggest secret. He had no idea what to expect in your room. A secret drug stash? A collection of Beanie Babies? He had no idea. You opened your closet and rifled through the bottom before pulling out something white and pink. Then you proceeded to thoroughly wreck his mind.
You thwipped a web, closing the door.
Peter's jaw dropped.
"I may or may not be Spider-Woman."
You stood in silence.
"You're WHAT?"

All-New Venom #6
"Who was it who goopled his goop all over my Jackpot device?"
No, go back, read that quote again, am I losing my fucking mind, is this real life? Full spoilers and images below, I don't give a shit, I feel like nothing's real right now.
why does this read like porn.
Y-yeah okay so, the All-New Venom is MJ, who must stay physically connected to Venom after they both broke Paul's Jackpot roulette in Venom W... no, stop it, why does it read like porn?
Again, am I losing my fucking mind? The entire issue is nothing but chad bull Venom coming into MJ's life and body, and flashbacks to Paul being a snively little chud who has emotions and feelings and such. Every once in a while we have both of them stopping the story to admire how cool Peter Parker is, despite him not being in this book.
And it's really funny! Don't get me wrong! I laughed a lot reading this!
But why does it read like porn????
This feels like it's constantly about to cut to Venom absolutely demolishing MJ while Paul is in another room, I can't explain it, am I the only one? Am I broken beyond repair?
Maybe it's the art? Carlos Gómez and Frank D'Armarta can only draw hot people and MJ's fifty pounds of ass in every other shot of her are really distracting. They're on some Clay Mann shit with these shots and compositions, it's very, very important that she's the hottest woman alive right now.
But it ruins me in some of these dialogues, especially in these kinda serious moments where we have Paul coming to terms with the fact that his relationship has been built on a lie, and that there has been a different, hotter guy involved for weeks now.
And like, it's not even subtext, it's--
LIKE THIS IS ALL HAPPENING IN FRONT OF A JOURNALIST. HE'S TALKING ABOUT HOW HE DEFINITELY HASN'T HAD SEX WITH VENOM IN FRONT OF A JOURNALIST, WHAT THE FUCK--
It's by far the craziest thing to happen in Spider-Man books in years, I can't stop laughing about it. Yeah, Venom isn't considered a Spider-Man book editorially anymore, but... oh my god, damn, god damn, it be like that, it be all like all over, MJ is a freak dear lord.
There's very little to talk about as far as actual writing goes, aside from you seeing me lose my sanity every other panel. Ewing is the GOAT, trust the trust, plan the plan, but it's... it's definitely something, you gotta read it if you've been at all amused by the current state of Spider-Man over the past two years.
BUT LIKE, LOOK AT IT. WHY'S SHE DRAWN LIKE THAT IN THIS DRAMATIC CUCKING MOMENT.
Ah man, I gotta calm down. Anyway, yeah, go read it, Venom is very funny right now.
Jesus Christ MJ, there's children reading this.

No one's talking about how incredibly BPD coded Insomniac Harry/Venom is so I will. This is also essentially an essay so be prepared
I would also like to preface this by saying that this is based on my experiences with having BPD and the diagnostic criteria in the DSM-5
Peter is 100% Harry's favorite person. I mean look at him. The way that he makes every excuse to be around Peter so much so that he practically begged him to work at his company? The passive-aggressive "So you told MJ, but not your best friend?" when he learned that Peter was Spider-Man? And then insists that he work with him as a superhero to kinda push Miles out of the way? The entire high school flashback scene? Not to mention that Harry held Peter in high regard even before he learned that he was Spider-Man.
Also, remember that the symbiote only emphasizes thoughts and emotions that already exist. So when Harry's probably splitting on Peter about the whole Spider-Man thing, the anger is only amplified by Venom.
Now, before y'all say that "all this only happened after Harry got the symbiote," that is simply false. During the final fight with Venom, Peter says that he "came over every single day after school. Even slept over after [his] mom got sick." While yes, Harry not being able to "see her like that" was a component afterward, that doesn't explain Harry's attachment to Peter beforehand. I would also like to comment that Venom says that Harry's mom "always said" that Peter and Harry "make each other better." This is all theoretical, but she might have noticed that Harry's mood or behaviour might have become more outwardly stable or better when around Peter, which from my experience is something that happens when existing around (or even sometimes thinking about) your FP.
Because, at the moment, Harry can only focus on the rage he has toward Peter, he can only think about the bad things, as evidenced by Venom claiming that Peter was there "Until [he] got sick again," which is objectively not true, but BPD alone can exaggerate thoughts to extremes, and the symbiote on top of it makes it worse. Venom continues, "You abandoned us when we were fighting for our lives," and that it didn't feel like Peter was trying to save them when he was. One of the main symptoms of BPD is an intense fear of abandonment, so much so that the person will take extreme measures to make sure that that doesn't happen, such as leaving before they are hurt, or, in this case, hurting the other person first so abandonment seems justified and therefore hurts less.
In the second phase of the fight, Venom declares: "We know what's best for you! For everyone! We gave you everything you ever wanted." This likely has something to do with BPD affecting one's self-image, which may change from 'the most worthless scum of the Earth' to what I like to call 'I can fight God and win.' As Venom, Harry believes that he now has the power to "heal the world" all by himself, enhancing his temporary superiority complex. Only several lines later, however, Harry's unstable self-image flips from 'knowing best for everyone' to 'being a complete failure,' because Venom states, "We've never been good enough for you... or Dad."
Venom goes on to say that Peter "threw [them] away" and then "replaced [them] with Miles. He poisoned [Peter] against [them] even more." Again, this characterizes Harry's intense fear of abandonment, because 'if Peter spends more time with Miles, then he won't have time for him anymore, and therefore matter to him anymore and he'll be left alone.' (These are thoughts I've had on bad days when my FP spent time with other people)
When Peter tries to fight Venom's claims and says that Harry's his best friend, the exaggeration and impulsive thoughts continue, and he says "Then why don't you trust us?" Again, Harry can only think in the negative at the moment, so he fails to see anything good that Peter is doing for him or the emotions that Peter is feeling.
During the cutscene after the second phase, when Peter says that he's "never gonna heal the world with [Harry]," you can see Venom falter, sighing and looking down before the meteorite catches his attention and distracts him.
At last, during the third phase of the fight, Venom turns his attention to Miles, the person who he sees as having caused Peter to 'turn against him' and spend less time with him. He insists that "[his] future doesn't belong to [Miles]," insinuating that Harry should be the one to have a deep and lasting relationship with Peter, not Miles, even though Miles thinks that he's talking about 'healing the world.'
After the third phase when Venom throws Miles aside and buries him under rubble, he tells him and MJ: "Peter doesn't need you anymore... He has us now." because he thinks that he is all Peter needs, when in reality it's Harry that needs Peter, though he might not realize it.
In the fourth phase, he asserts to Miles: "You took him away from us!" Which is strangely familiar to something I said when my FP started spending time with another person.
Another small thing I would like to note, when flying away after the fourth phase, Venom deliberately throws Miles off him, but not Peter. Also, when Miles is falling down with the meteorite in his hands, Venom focuses his attention on grabbing and eating him rather than retrieving the meteorite.
When Peter finally has Venom pinned to the ground and tries to blast the symbiote away from Harry, he claims that he's done and that he can't fight it, then both Harry and Venom state, "You have to KILL us." BPD is also characterized by suicidal ideations or behaviours, and if Harry telling Peter to kill him isn't suicidal behaviour then I don't know what is.
Finally, when Venom is gone and Peter tells Harry that he loves him, Harry smiles what looks like a genuinely content and satisfied smile, like that was the only thing that Harry wanted or needed to hear before he could let himself fall unconscious.
And if that’s not BPD coded I don’t know what is.

So, like last time. Just some thoughts on All New Venom #2 (Spoiler Alert)
☆ I always start off on the wrong foot, so I'll start by saying that I don't like the amount of characters in this comic.
Obviously the important ones are the symbiote, the suspects, Dylan, MJ and Paul. But for some reason in just this issue they gave us 3 groups of enemies
These guys here seemed to want Venom to join them, but when Venom didn't accept they tried to kill them

These ones here, because apparently one of the members has beef with the symbiote because the zombiotes killed her family or something like that. They are from the government and they want to get rid of the symbiotes by removing them from the planet. Understandable, really.

And finally this last group who had some score to settle with Madam Masque

I thought this comic would be like, one villain while the fights gave us little clues that would tell us who the new host is, but it seems not. At least not from what I've seen in these two issues. I guess there's no villain to defeat and the whole plot revolves mainly around the mystery of who the host is.
It's okay I guess. But it's a little weird, because there are so many characters and half the time I'm just wondering "Who this guys are? What does they have to do with anything?"
Especially the ones at the beginning, I didn't see a purpose for their interaction other than to give us some panels that I found a little funny.
☆ About all new Symby. I think being piss yellow now gives it new powers or something. They can now create and stretch limbs to levels the symbiote was not as good, in addition to being really resistant to explosions, because, the main weakness of the symbiotes will be fire and sound, but nobody is unaffected a little by an bomb explosion in your throat

and they seem to have better regenerative power... or maybe not
I mean yes, but I think Symby and this new host could be almost in perfect symbiosis, to the point that there is no one under the "suit" they are all just Venom, I don't know if I make myself understood xd
Especially for the last panel. Where they were shot.

Because I don't know about you. But I don't see anything, no face, no flesh, no blood, no bones or brains sticking to the wall. Nothing, just a hole. We already know that Symby had a hard time healing a host's heart, but now they heal brains like it's nothing? damn
So either Symby got a lot better at this or they're literally molecularly fused. They still don't get along as well as I thought.
☆

Okay, first of all, how dare they, huh? Do this to my poor little heart. How fucking dare they?
I feel like this is more of the symbiote talking. It's a little confusing. They could also both be talking at the same time, the host experiencing the symbiote's grief for thinking about Eddie, who Symby thinks is dead.
But what surprises me the most is that I thought they were friends, but apparently they still aren't. They're just "stuck together", whatever that means.
I don't think it's like what I said before about the perfect symbiosis, there must surely be a reason why they joined together and now they are working together on... I don't know, fighting people here and there
☆ About the suspects
Robbie is still very big in my suspicions. He's just too convenient all the time.

Luke moved down a bit on my list, because he's a little more concerned with getting rid of the symbiotes.

And this Rick guy... I don't know, I don't really think anything of him.
I guess it could be, just because he talks about Venom a lot, but he always points fingers at everyone but himself. Which could be a way of getting rid of the blame.
And about Madam Masque, we didn't even see her face in the whole issue. The thing that would make me most suspect that it's her is that when the guys had this meeting Venom was on the other side of the city, so technically it would be impossible for Venom to have gotten to the other side of the city so quickly if it was Robbie. And that Venom went to fight these people who were looking for Madam Masque without anyone calling them or telling them that weird things were going on there.
Which is solid. I mean, why would Venom butt into matters that don't concern them or suit them just because, who do you think their host is? Eddie Brock? Nah
☆ And finally, let's talk about the most important thing about this comic and the only thing that really keeps me hooked.

My baby boy♡
MJ and Paul's entire appearance is them arguing because Paul can't stand Dylan's attitude.

I can't 100% agree with MJ here because "Violent Alien" is one of Dylan's parents and the main reason he's acting so desperate to find Venom and "Father stabbed on live TV" was in a bigger context.
Plus, I just don't care about these two arguing.

Just guy upset because kid didn't like his dish

and a kid who probably has as much of an aversion to vegetables as his daddy Symby.
And this, which is the delight for MJ x Peter fans

I feel like it's a little forced... Very very forced.

Because Dylan is mean, but he doesn't say directly hurtful things to you, more like making comments that challenge the authority of whoever he's arguing with.
I think Al Ewing knows he's not getting that much attention to this comic with this whole "All New Venom" thing. So he had to put on a little glitter to attract more readers. That little shiny glitter thing being Paul and MJ arguing and Dylan being really mean to Paul. Talking trash so the fans are like "HELL YEAH! You tell him!"
☆ Whatever. Let's move on to the next thing, which is Dylan escaping from MJ and Paul's house to go find Venom.
Honorable mention to this

And that Dylan is so precious to me

Next Issue:
Symby: Help me, dude, what do we say to the boy?
New Host: Nah, man. It's all yours.
I hope. My only expectation, I HOPE that their reunion is not bad, please, Al Ewing. The only thing, THE ONLY THING I ask of you
☆ We still don't know where Sleeper is. Some said it was just sitting outside the window in the previous issue, but no. They're just not there, although there is a mention of them.

"Traitors" Who, why? Huh?
Are Venom, Sleeper and Flash among the traitors? Or are they separate? I don't even know what that means. Is Normie and Bren?
Those are the traitors? Maybe because they didn't let Dylan stay with them and he ended up with MJ and Paul.
I don't even care, where's Sleeper!? Where's my baby?!?!?!
The only thing I could perhaps assume is that it is looking for Eddie. Because Flash said in Venom War that he was going to look for him, maybe Sleeper decided to go with him.
☆ That's all I have to say, I think. Kisses kisses

I swear to Primus that if the next All-New Venom issue doesn't explain how MJ overcame her trauma of Venom, I'm dropping the book...
They didn't let her be Jackpot for long enough, so why should I care that she is venom now...

Rating Marvel's Disco Dazzler variant covers, as someone who knows practically nothing about disco or fashion.
Because why the hell not?

Amazing Spider-Man #55 and #56, covers by Luciano Vecchio. I have no strong feelings one way or the other on MJ's outfit on issue 56, but disco ball spider man? Hell yeah. I don't even mind the round spider symbol belt buckle here, and I usually prefer the symbol to be less round, and more like an actual spider.

The Avengers #17, cover by J. Scott Campbell.
I would like this a lot more if anyone other than J Scott Campbell drew it. God I fucking hate his art style so much. Still, Storm looks great, Thor looks like a member of the BeeGees (and I mean that in a good way) and Tony wearing an outfit OVER his iron man suit? A+

Avengers Assemble #1, cover by Anand Ramcheron. Perfect, no notes, 10/10.

Captain America #12, cover by Elizabeth Torque. I feel like the shield should be sparklier, but I dig the outfit.

Daredevil #12, cover by Scott Godlewski. Oh my god I didn't notice until just now that Matt has the Daredevil logo shaved into his chest hair, that's fucking perfect.

Deadpool #5, cover by Annie Wu. The fact that the red portions of the suit aren't sequinned is disappointing. Come on Wade, commit to the bit!

Doctor Strange #18, cover by Marguerite Sauvage. Oh, this one is fucking phenomenal. The colors, the patterns, the oversized collar and Eye of Agamotto on Steven? All absolutely perfect.

Fantastic Four #23, cover by Ben Su. Incredible Hulk #15, Cover by Todd Nauck. Miles Morales: Spider Man #23, cover by Karen Darboe. Don't really have anything to say about these, they're fun. Though Hulk should have chest hair.

Incredible Hulk #16, cover by Edwin Galmon. Ms. Walters, please crush me with your sequinned thighs.

Immortal Thor #14, cover by Lee Garbett. I actually bought this one, because hell yeah disco ball Mjolnir. Also because Immortal Thor is incredible. Al Ewing don't miss, y'all.

Scarlet Witch #3, cover by Jessica Fong. This one is absolutely stunning. The disco balls for her magical aura around her hands? The pattern on her clothes? The fucking stars? 100/10.

Uncanny X-Men #1, cover byPablo Villalobos. Dig the outfit, but I think the Soul Sword should've been disco ball-ified.

Venom #36, cover by Rickie Yagawa. Looks good, but I feel like they should've gone farther with the theme. Come on, give him some wide lapels!

Vengeance of the Moon Knight #8, cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli. Absolutely fucking perfect. The Mr. Knight look needed very little work to disco-ify it, and god it looks cool.

Werewolf by Night: Red Band #1, cover by Jeremy Wilson. X-Men #2, cover by Olivier Vatine. These two are pretty cool, but I dont' really have anything substantial to say about them.

X-Force #2, cover by Phil Noto. I am always a slut for Phil Noto, and I love how dynamic this cover looks.

X-Factor #1, cover by David Lopez. This one's alright, but honestly I can't help but think how cool Warren could look in a disco version of his Archangel form.
