What is your ranking on having a date with the dorm leaders and rate them from your best to worse
Tumblr media
Vil Schoenheit:7
Azul Ashengrotto :6
his fans would constantly swarm around him plus he probably would only get food from fancy restaurants or vegan restaurants not that I hate that but it's not my vibe plus you have to dress extremely fancy everything has to be picture perfect .
Riddle Rosehearts :5
I feel he is the opposite of Vil he is the insecure one with food but he will bring me to those extremely fancy restaurants that serve food I'm uncomfortable eating plus the tweels whoud probably tie up our waiter and act like the butler.
For riddle he would plan the whole date like we are going to Disney land and read a lot of books and follow them to the tea and whoud yell at the server if they being the wrong food on accident otherwise it would be holesome bringing him to a small animal cafe and eating cakes and drinking coffee or tea.
Kalim Al-Asim :4
As a person who grew up Muslim he just brings me happiness and I would enjoy the food the most a beautiful sight eating and the flying on the flying carpet it's absolutely beautiful and perfect but he is to energetic for me othwise he is perfect.
Malleus Draconia :3
He whoud take you on a picnic under the moonlight and talk about life gargoyles and how much he loves you he whoud be a sweetheart and study human date food and also bring dragon date food but the rest of the dorm whoud be watching other wise I love it.
Liona Kingscholar :2
He would just have a simple calm date talking about home and how he is enjoying the peace and quiet nature eating outside the food ruggie made and fall asleep on your lap will the sun is setting but he won't do a lot but it's beautiful.
Idia Shroud :1
He whoud just be in his room watching anime in comfortable clothes and or I'm reading manga while he is playing games and both enjoying fast-food and just not talk alot but for me who is antisocial it's perfect he whoud be my favourite dorm leader to go on a date with.

Ladies and gentlemen and everything in between, it is nine degrees Fahrenheit outside
as a result: how well different DC characters handle the cold (because we all know it gets freezing in Gotham, sometimes right in the middle of the summer. Metropolis, Star, and Central City aren’t much better.)
Damian Wayne: he’s been raised from a very young age to withstand conditions harsher than most adults- cold was included in that package. However, that doesn’t mean he likes it. He’s right there with his siblings when they get back from a particularly frigid patrol, stumbling to the nearest fireplaces and dialing every naturally warm-running Kryptonian they know for cuddles (of course Dami would only ever be cuddling with Jon, but sometimes it’s nice to be sandwiched between him and Kara as well)
(That in itself is a sight to behold- Cass and Steph snuggling up to their gf Kara who totally has work tomorrow, Jon forcing Dami into his lap with like six blankets so he doesn’t get sick, Tim is literally melted into Conner’s side and hasn’t woken up since he got here, Dick and a reluctant Jason are sharing a massive blanket with Kon, and Clark and Bruce take pictures before sneaking off to cuddle without the prying eyes of their kids while Alfred makes everyone hot cocoa)
There are several heroes including the Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and ofc their respective people (speedsters, Kryptonians, Amazons, Atlantians) who don’t really… get cold. They tend to be used as heated blankets for other JL members and their kids lol
Wally West does not like the cold. Although he never has to worry about it actually damaging him because of his healing factor, it’s just unpleasant as a whole. So that means he comes home to Dick from patrol shivering, with a brand new cold, and pissed off. Dick will just hold him under multiple blankets in bed, watching Disney’s Frozen until they’re both asleep.
Jason Todd is used to it. He grew up on the streets and before that in poverty, so he’s no stranger to Gotham winter. He’ll often give his leather jacket and gloves to people he sees without, leaving him in just his suit and maybe he starts to get a bit chilly by then but it’s so worth it to know he made someone’s night a little more bearable. Plus he’s got a boyfriend and daughter to warm him up when he gets home.
Harley Quinn is an absolute psychopath and rarely wears a coat, even when it’s in the negatives. She’s out there in her pigtails (dyed green and red instead of blue and pink for the holidays!!) and skimpy skirts, not a sign of the winter in sight as far as her outfit goes (unless you count the hideous tree skirt she’s wrapped around her shoulders like a poncho). Something about her is just… immune. And it’s great, bc her gf Ivy definitely does not do quite as well as her in the cold and she’s happy to provide warmth whenever necessary.
Jon Kent is aware that it’s cold outside, but the funny thing is that it doesn’t bother him until he starts thinking about it. Like he’ll be on patrol with Dami or Conner, perfectly fine, and all of a sudden he’s aware of Damian’s chattering or Conner tugging his jacket closer at a gust of wind and then he’s so cold he wants to claw his own skin off. Luckily, whoever he’s with is willing to get him a hot cocoa at the nearest coffee shop, but still, he hates the cold. As a Kryptonian, it’s just unnatural.
Bruce Wayne has had hypothermia so many times in his Batman days that his temperature sensors are honestly dead. Obviously not great, but it means he can sit atop a gargoyle with 70mph frigid winds whipping past and hold whatever bird is tucked beneath his cape to hide from the weather without being affected whatsoever. There is a limit- Alfred has ordered that he come home when the frostbite kicks in, because he does need all his limbs to fight crime, but that’s the extent of his winter protection.
Tim Drake is the type of guy to forget it’s December and march out the house in a short sleeve, almost get blown off his feet by an aggressive breeze, declare “NOPE” and head right back inside. In the winter he does prefer mochas, but he adds so many extra shots of espresso you almost can’t even taste the chocolate anymore. Only Tim Drake could find Christmas horror movies, but he manages, and that’s how he spends 90% of his wintertime, Conner tucked into his side like a personal bf heater.
You know who really likes the cold? Diana Fucking Prince. She never got snow or even so much as a chilly breeze on the island- and you know what the snow does remind her of? That night. The one where she and Steve slow danced in the town square after saving the village, all the way back in WWII. It was the first time she’d ever experienced the cold, but it thankfully wasn’t the last (:
With that guys I gotta go to bed- I’m finally on winter break!! Have a good morning/ night/ 4am y’all 🥰

📚The Disney Afternoon: The Making of a Television Renaissance

Disney Publishing Worldwide
Disney Editions Deluxe
November 5, 2024
When the Disney Afternoon premiered in 1990, kids tossed their backpacks aside to watch their favorite Disney television characters. Unlike with feature films, these stars had a new adventure every weekday, and their audience journeyed with them on a daily basis. Throughout the '80s and '90s, Disney raised the bar with a lineup of innovative, high-quality television animation. The characters were endearing, the writing was clever, and the art was exceptional. Those who grew up with these characters have continued their love affairs for shows like Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, TaleSpin, and the irrepressibly beloved DuckTales, deep into adulthood. For the first time, learn the history of the Disney Afternoon shows, read interviews from the creative teams, and revel in rare, behind-the-scenes artwork, plus get the full making of story of the modern-day DuckTales series and the meta-driven Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers film and its legacy connections to the past for a new generation of fans.

Hey guys! This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while.
I’m not sure if there’s anything like this here on Tumblr, but if not, I guess I might as well be the first.
For the record, these memes were made out of harmless fun, so don’t try to take them too seriously.
Anyway, here’s some music to set the mood.

Was Gargoyles Actually Made For Kids?
This is an interesting video about Disney’s Gargoyles, and I’m glad we’re seeing a resurgence of the show thanks to Disney Plus, the newest run of the comics, and the fact that it’s slowly gaining a following again.  I think it’s aimed mostly at older kids to teens, however adults can enjoy it too.
Here’s Also Bull Session’s 3 Part Videos About The Cartoon:

Good evening! Hope you're having a marvelous day! My top 5 question is, what are your top 5 favorite TV series you've watched? They can be recent shows, or something nostalgic from your childhood ;)
OMG IT WORKED!! My first real post!! 🤣 thank you for your question!!! And I’m having a pretty good day!
Ooooo that’s a good one!! I’ve got tons but if I HAD to choose just five, it would be…
5: Batman the Animated Series. Top notch writing quality and some of the greatest superhero stories ever told. The soundtrack by Shirley Walker in particular is something legendary and should be honored forever. Plus Harvey Bullock is my personal fave cuz I’m cringe 😂
4: Midnight Diner; Tokyo Stories. My FAVORITE live action show personally, the actors are really really good and the episodic nature of the series makes you relate to the character it chooses to focus on. Don’t watch it if you’re hungry tho 🤣🤣🤣
3: Gargoyles. Disney’s greatest series from the 90’s. Top notch voice cast, stellar animation, iconic characters, the stories are rich and touch on ancient myths and folklore, and the themes are strong and serious! Lightening in a bottle!
2: TMNT. This franchise got me through a lot in recent months. I’ve been super stressed out in my life and it wasn’t until I jumped onto the turtle wagon that I found motivation and inspiration again. Iconic, fun, inventive and all around creative in every version! I’m grateful to this franchise 😊 oh and Leo and Donnie are my favorite turtles!!
1: One Piece. This anime saved my life. It was this anime that gave me the inspiration I needed to keep thriving, and to create. The entire world of OP is inviting and immersive, it feels like a whole other entity to explore, the characters are all complex and interesting, the bits and pieces that are sprinkled to add mystery to the overall story is also fun! It’s thanks to this series that I’m pursuing a storytelling career. Brook is my fave Straw Hat, Pedro is an MVP, and CARROT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE CREW OMG 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for the first ever ask I ever got!!! 😁😁 sorry it took so long to do 🤣

I’ll be honest, watching belos die was like watching the handsome Jack A.I. die (the one from tales from the borderlands)
Welll.....Idk. I feel like that one was a little better, especially Rhys (the ultimate Jack fanboy) was killing him off. Plus, Handsome Jack seems to be able to talk his way through anything. Not to mention that, despite being dead, he was technically immortal. I mean, Hyperion was HIS company and everything followed HIS rules. So, he still very much had a presence. I felt his death was showing him that he's still very touchable, despite being A.I. He's not all-poweful as he presents himself to be.
To be fair, they way Philip basically had to beg for Luz to save him kinda already knocks him down a huge gorge. It's just the abrupt Denny's-parking-lot-esque death that made it incredibly disappointing. I was genuinely expecting something like how Claude Frollo died in Disney's Hunchback. A very ironic death, you know when Frollo practically spoke his demise "And He shall smite the wicked and plunge them into the fiery pit!" And then he falls into the lava, while holding a demonic looking gargoyle.
I was expecting that. Not sudden abrupt levity as we were watching this seemingly untouchable, incredibly strong man just melt before our eyes. I mean, I figured there wasn't going to be a redemption or anything, but still. At least throw his remains into the catacombs, so that he can be forever tortured by the guards and Caleb while dead.
That's my biggest problem with the entire finale. Everything else was great, but that death. Pretty mid, ngl. I just felt empty and sad afterwards

ok, so i watched Hunchback of notre dame for the first time ever (i know, sad that its taken me so long), but it was honestly one of the best disney movies i’ve seen!!
the pacing is fantastic, i was in the 3rd act without even realising it, the characters all have motivations and are reasonably well-rounded, the songs slap, the villain is so realistic (terrifyingly so) and our hero is just a genuine sweetie!! plus talking gargoyles don’t hurt and are always hilarious! I love!!

Meta character design (( here too ))
Oooh okay let’s see.
.
Mirian
Mirian was originally a bug alien type creature who was an NPC for an adventure I was running on an rp forum! So when I switched to designing her as a human, I made the potentially misguided attempt to try to keep her overall value scheme and a few other design hints? I.e. very pale eyes and somewhat darker skin, and big old glasses in place of the v. big mirrored eyes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
On the plus side, it has at least shaped her human backstory in interesting ways! Even if I somewhat regret the ocular albinism thing — it feels like a cop out to conveniently have her on the very upper end of good vision among people with albinism, there are enough misconceptions about albinism as it is. :’D I’ve been waffling about retconning it for years now.
Other than that it was all vibes based. I asked my brain “somewhat unhinged lesbian scientist?” and it went “Short. Short is good,” and here we are. xD
.
Ithadel
I already had purple and grey associated with rock creatures in my brain (my other OC Brian), so that was probably part of his overall color scheme. Goliath (?) from Gargoyles was probably haunting my subconscious, too, even though I’ve never watched more than an episode or two of the show. xD
But mostly, I was on a crest of my eternal “bat wings are versatile limbs! They grab things! And climb! And walk with them! And it’s neat!!” kick. So then I was having fun thinking about prehensile limbs in general, and gave him prehensile feet — because hey, wings, maybe they can hunt like raptors?
I also had Medusa on the brain — not literally, I don’t know much about the actual myth, but just… general petrification and turning things to stone thoughts. Thus the stinger (paralysis).
As for his human design, for whatever reason that’s… just what felt right the first time I started trying to sketch him and make picrews, hah. No thoughts head empty!
.
Oscar
So this isn’t strictly visual design, but there were two things on my brain when I was first designing Oscar, and those were:
1) Duck Newton from TAZ Amnesty’s abysmal lying
2) Maurice from Disney’s animated Beauty and the Beast
Which. Mostly just informed his general flustered and blustery speech patterns in my head, hah. xD And idk how well that will be preserved in writing moving forward. As for his appearance… once again, it kind of just formed? Not a whole lot of conscious decision making.
The achondroplasia was very intentional, though. He was originally a D&D character, and I imagined him visually how I imagined him, but I also very much imagined him with a human attitude and cultural background. Plus I wanted the variant human stats for backstory & class building reasons. So… even in fantasy settings, he is definitely not a dwarf. :)

Honestly I have been so Off Disney since Amphibia and Owl House finished and while awaiting Bad Batch Season 3 or Andor Season 2, nothing’s really persuaded me to get into Disney Plus again aside from rewatching Gravity Falls and Ducktales, I even take to being Nostalgic more and watching Gargoyles (Disney)
I'm also mostly watching older shows right not, both Disney and not. Bleach, Kim Possible, that sort of thing. Bad Batch season 3 is the only future show I'm really looking forward to. There's nothing airing right now that interests me much.

Hi! I know you’re a big fan of gargoyles on Disney plus! I was wondering if I should watch the 3rd season? Is it canon? I’ve heard it’s bad. I’m enjoying the show so far, I’m on episode 3 of season 2!
Aw hell yeah! I'm so glad you picked up the show!!
Tbh? I like season 3. It's a little clunky (ESPECIALLY the intro), but there's really good parts in it and i think it ends the show really well. I highly recommend watching it and forming an opinion for yourself. I really think most people who have a negative opinion on Season 3 only do so because the creator Greg Weisman didn't have a hand in Season 3 until the last episode or two (irc).
There's also Gargoyles comics too! There's a series from the 90s/2000s, and a recently revamped series that i LOVE

I’m sure this is a long shot but with Disney+ letting me live my love for Gargoyles again, and your amazing fanart! Think you could do another sketch, even just a quick rough sketch, of Goliath and Elisa? You just portray them so well ❤️❤️❤️ you’re amazing!

Pre-Hunter’s Moon? In which nobody bothered to tell Elisa that the hair stroking is the equivalent of Kissing to Gargoyles and don’t intend to anytime soon.
