Calling all the RSC Oppenheimer Fans!
Have you ever fell in love with a play and its cast so much, that after years you still think of it?
That’s what happened with me seeing the Royal Shakespeare Company’s play “Oppenheimer” at the Vaudeville Theatre in London on May 2015.
I can’t still take it out of my mind, it got a talented cast of twenty actors and a crew of talented artists.
So I still follow their career and, even if they went ahead and worked in new different projects, I like to think of them as an ensemble.
Every time I’ll be able, I’ll add news about them.
For example, Ben Allen, who played Edward Teller, is currently playing Octavius in RSC’s “Julius Caesar” at the Royal Shakespeare theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, until 9 September and, later in year, at the Barbican Centre in London.
Ross Armstrong has written his first book “The Watcher”, available in book stores.
The author Tom Morton Smith is working on a new play.
Two elements of the Swan Theatre’s cast, Josh O’Connor and Joel MacCormack, were not at the Vaudeville Theatre where I saw it, replaced by Toby Webster and Bradley Hall, but I like to include them in the list.
The RSC chose la-créme-de-la-créme for this play.
.
But there are four actors in particular I “fell in (platonic) love with”:
- John Heffernan, who played R.J.Oppenheimer
- Catherine Steadman who played Jean Tatlock
- Oliver Johnstone who played Giovanni Rossi Lomanitz
- Jack Holden who played Robert Wilson
.
I also run a blog for each of them:

If you, too, are a fan of this play and its cast&creatives, watch this space for news and feel free to join in!
