Couffaine twin kwami swap! I’ve had this idea for a while and I finally did it.

Julekas hair is supposed to resemble the hood do a cobra and I changed her weapon to a whip because I think the lyre is really stupid because 1.) how do you fight with it? 2.) not used in activating the power like the yo-yo and flute, and 3.) not related to snakes. I figured a whip would be far more useful in a fight and also looks like a snake.

I probably could have been more creative with luka but I feel like he came out okay. I changed the stripes from the warm plum color that purple tigress had to a cooler more blue toned purple. I really like his mask since my one complaint about purple tigresses design is that her mask is kind of boring and plain despite tigers having a tone of markings and characteristics on their faces.

I don’t know what they’re names would be any ideas?

Also I’m working on hawkmoths redesign now and I’m pretty happy with it so far.

How do you go about making your designs like what your inspiration for them if I may ask?

OH !! That's such a fun question, thanks for asking ! my process is pretty simple. i start by looking at the original design and deciding what i like and what i don't

then i look for references !

and more references

then i start sketching a bunch of shitty designs without caring about the quality

once i have an idea i like i start asking for thoughts from my friends

then the last step !

im very pro-changing your designs a little over time as you figure out what details work and what doesn't and you do that by drawing the design over and over (if youre just gonna do illustrations you dont have to worry about that)

luka saw some videos online about couples making bracelets of each other's eye colors online and wanted to do the same with you!

he saw that juleka and rose had been doing the same too, so luka wanted to make those bracelets with his partner as well!

the next time you came over to his place, he had already bought the materials, the strings and the beads, for the two of you to make the bracelets!

the two of you ended up spending more time just staring into each other's eyes and giggling than actually putting any beads on the strings

occasionally, luka lifts your chin without saying a word to get you to look at him, admiring your eyes and stealing a kiss from you, before focusing on the bracelets again

by the end of it, the two of you have cute bracelets of each other's eye colors, that won't just remind you of each other, but also of the fun day you two had together!
