if one person's way of coping is to push people away, become cynical, and reject every outstretched hand, that doesn't make them a bad person and they are still deserving of that outstretched hand and of people taking care of them. if another person's way of coping is to not say what they need, swallow down their anger and hurt feelings, especially in front of the person who keeps pushing them away, they still deserve to be seen and be told their pain is just as valid even if they'd rather break themselves than acknowledge it. but those two people will not be having a healthy relationship. it doesn't matter how unintentionally hurt feelings are caused. it doesn't matter how hard it is to see someone's suffering if they're hiding it. it doesn't make it anybody's fault. but it does trap them in a pattern where one person feels misunderstood and the other person feels neglected. and that is just not going to work long-term.

Do you ever think about the fairy tale subversion of Silver and Malleus. Like yeah the time knife Maleficent cares about Sleeping Beauty and assisted in raising her subversion we’ve all seen it! But but but. Diasomnia is based on a fairy tale and out of all the dorms gives the strongest fairy tale vibe bc there’s a prince and his knights and also that prince is a dragon and one of his knights might be a lost prince, and that gives the opportunity to go directly for a classic trope beyond just the story they’re twisted from. The dragon loves the prince as dearly as if they were of the same blood. The knight would sooner cut his own throat than allow the dragon to come to harm. And yet they’re still being pitted against each other by the narrative now in book 7, Malleus casting a curse on Silver and everyone else because he thinks it’ll protect them and Silver fighting against him to save him from his Overblot.

not to like wax poetic about the literary nuances of Black Fucking Butler but i feel i need to point out how insanely campy it is. oh okay cool the butler is throwing butter knives at people with guns and winning. we're battling undertaker's zombie army by starting a boy band (we actually got the idea from the ZOMBIES' boy band). theres a curry making competition and its so important it needs an entire volume and a continuing motif dedicated to it. the Grim Reaper Death Gods are all cornballs with gardening sheers. the contradiction. the unintended irony.

i think the manga is like. toeing the line of camp. like its silly yet takes itself so seriously but its not too silly. my immersion is not broken by the silliness. but the anime is uncharted levels of camp. what the Hell was going on with pluto. you're gonna look me in the eye and tell me the phantomhives own a fifty foot dog thing and no one has noticed. simply one hell of a deer. ice skating. theres opium in funtom candy. the queen of england is maybe a little girl. speaking of which, the city of london just burned down. yeah the whole thing. the fifty foot dog was there too.

it's so ridiculously out of left field and the fact that none of the characters seem to notice or care feels like being gaslit. camp so visceral it's causing psychic damage. i am constantly begging the narrative to break character just once and acknowledge its silliness but doing so would negate the lack of awareness that makes it camp. its dated and timeless. an absolute milestone in camp history.

update on the grocery situation : we now have food [ yay ] thanks to those who donated and a lovely friend of mine we were able to get a few essentials :') so thank you guys !

unfortunately sometimes before things get better, they get worse and my oldest rabbit smokey [ he's almost 8 now !! some of u might remember him, esp since i had to ask for assistance a few yrs ago ;; ] has had reoccurring gstasis, usually we are able to treat this by giving him lots of water, hay, baby gas drops, and massaging his tum. now it's gotten so bad that nothing will work at all and it's so concerning because gstasis can become so very deadly. unfortunately the only animal clinic that is still open and treats rabbits is over an hour away.

this means a 32 dollar ride [ to and from ] unless we find someone who can take us, a regular exam starts at 80 dollars, and looking at posts online [ the vet said as of now she can't give us an estimate until she sees him ] treatment could be around $400+ so in total it would most likely be around 544 dollars [ at the LEAST ]
