Earlier, I was looking up asks about how scarring works for vampires (I was trying not to make unsubstantiated and incorrect claims on the internet) and I ended up finding out a lot more than I expected about how the transformation from human -> vampire affects scarring and body modifications, as well as what kind of body modifications are attainable post-vampirism. I thought it was neat food for thought and that some people might be interested in what I found. The sources I found are listed under the cut, but I'm sure there's more out there.

Scarring

Any scars attained as a human will be healed when that human transforms into a vampire[1, 2, 3, 4]. However, though most (if not all) supernatural races have some form of healing ability, this statement seems to only be true for vampires[1, 3, 4]: humans who turn into werewolves, for example, would retain any scars they gained prior to their transformation[1].

Vampires (human-born vampires post-transformation and natural-born vampires) do not scar when injured due to their healing ability[5, 6].

Fun fact: A, N, and M would all have had scars as humans, which were then healed during their transformation into vampires. F, as a natural-born vampire, would not[2].

Piercings & Tattoos

When a human transforms into a vampire, their piercings heal due to their newly-acquired healing ability[4, 7]. Tattoos attained as a human, however, will be retained after becoming a vampire[4, 7].

After becoming a vampire, the vampire could get a new tattoo, but would unable to get new piercings[7, 8, 9] due to their healing ability[10].

As with scarring, these rules are supposedly true only for vampires and not necessarily for all supernaturals[4]. However, many supernaturals, vampire or otherwise, wear clip-on earrings[7, 10]. The fact that clip-on jewelry is "quite popular amongst many supernaturals"[7] suggests that the issue of enhanced healing abilities preventing supernaturals from having or getting new piercings is a wide-spread issue that impacts more supernaturals than just vampires.

Fun fact: Farah wears clip-on earrings[9, 10]!

he never even heard it coming. the boo bash was one of the most legendary parties foxbury greek life had to offer, and gavin was in desperate need of a night to let loose before the pressure of the big game against UB really started mounting. maybe if he hadn't been so focused on getting lily alone, he would have noticed the carvings on the trees, or seen the strange prints in the damp, mossy ground. then again, maybe not. attention to detail had never been his strong suit. and in the end, the details got him killed.

Suga/Agust D on Jimmy Fallon

Suga was looking good on Jimmy Fallon last night talking about D-Day and the tour.

He shared his recipe for a good concert - a shot of whiskey with the crew before the show.

He's another Hennessy fan (hmm but that's a brandy right?).

He even had it available to people attending the UBS concerts.

He talked about his ambassadorship with NBA and made it very clear who is the basketball player in BTS.

Yoongi isn't one for eye contact but he still connects and pulls off some great interactions with Jimmy and the audience.

Jimmy even got him to play one of his famous games.

Then we got to see Haegeum's TV debut. Suga is in his element these days.
