We were robbed of big brother Tristan.

You expect me to believe that Meliodas, one of the horniest mother-fuckers to ever walk among us, and Elizabeth, the prettiest woman that has ever graced Britannia, only had ONE child????

So anyway, this is Tristan's Younger brother Dis and they like each other now. Before they weren't really fans of one another, Tristan didn't like not being the baby anymore and Dis just had a lot of fun annoying him, But they came around.

Tristan found out he really liked being in charge! (and stealing cookies from the kitchen is much easier when you have a lookout.)

Dis found out that Tristan can be pretty cool when he wants to be. (and a big brothers arms makes a very good hiding place for when you accidentally knock over an entire shelf of your dad's Vanya Ale.)

Man I can just imagine the confusion on the poor kid.

He's right outside Lionas when Arthur strikes. The barrier separates him and the rest of the group from their families, Tristan is banging against the glass trying to get back inside. Meliodas and Elizabeth are there trying to calm him down, trying to figure out how to undo this when it happens.

Tristan stands there so confused and scared, watching his parents starting to hyperventilate and they know, they can feel the curse inside of them again and they're too panicked to try and explain so all they can do is try to reach out for Tristan, but he's on the other side. Kept out of their reach.

Mel starts to panic even more because if Tristan was inside the barrier then at least he was with them and the rest of the cursed people of Lionas, but he's not.

He's outside, and there's no trace of any curse on him, he's not immortal, but they are. Mel knew there was a chance he'd outlive his friends, his wife, he had prepared himself for that, but he never thought- he didn't- he couldn't stand if he managed to outlive his son.

Eli just wants her baby back, she doesn't want to be cursed again, she thought they were finally free, she can only hope that she was just cursed to be immortal, because if she was given her old curse, if she was made to forget her baby, to make him watch her die over and over again, with her stupid self being blissfully ignorant of his pain, then she won't be able to take it.

She'd rather stay dead.

Tristan is almost 17 now, but he feels like he's a six year old boy again, when it had thundered outside and scared him to his parents bedroom only to find the door locked, he had sobbed and banged against the door until his hands bled, begging for his parents to let him in. When they came back from getting some water, they had found him crumpled against the door, heaving sobs, so scared he had never stopped to think were they might have been. They had held him and healed his wounds and told him that even if he couldn't see them, they would always be there for him.

But now they couldn't do that, they were trapped behind a veil they couldn't pull back in order to get to him, and all he could do once again was bang his fists against the door until they bled, begging to be let inside...

You know what'd be fucked but really smart on Nakaba's part?

For Arthur to realize that his chances of winning against the Sins are fluctuating down or even, at best, and it really doesn't make sense to try to deal with the knights of prophecy when they're backed by the greatest group of warriors in Britannia.

And he can't kill them because A: They're his old comrades and he has no malice for them, he's just doing what needs to be done and B: Good fucking luck against Ban I-Survived-Purgatory-And-You-Took-My-Son-And-Sister-So-Now-It's-Personal-Bitch The Fox Sin of Greed you one armed Twink-Hitler.

So instead of attempting to kill his former friends, He curses them.

He can do it, he has the powers of Chaos and Merlin to guide him, and Merlin would absolutely rather curse her friends then kill them, can you imagine Mel and Eli becoming Re-Cursed, this time by friends? They'd be crushed, cursed to remain in Lionas and immortal life?? The fear they might outlive their son?

Now with all of the sins essentially trapped in their kingdoms the Four Knights are on their own until they beat Arthur. No parents to help them, no backup from the other sins, just the Four and their ragtag group of friends, all teenagers who absolutely didn't deserve this and are not prepared in the slightest.

It's a smart move and would make sense story wise. I just hope he bullshits his way out of this some other way so Mel and I don't have a breakdown.
