Discovering the World of Glamping: Top Suppliers and Prices in India
Glamping, a combination of "glamorous" and "camping," has become a popular trend for those who love nature but also enjoy luxury. It’s about experiencing the great outdoors without giving up comfort. India, with its diverse landscapes, is a perfect destination for glamping. Whether you are near the mountains, deserts, or beaches, there’s a glamping experience waiting for you. If you're thinking of starting your own glamping site, knowing about glamping tent suppliers and glamping dome tent prices in India is essential.
What is Glamping?
Glamping is a style of camping that offers amenities and, in some cases, resort-style services not typically associated with "traditional" camping. It’s a way to enjoy the beauty of nature while staying in a luxurious and comfortable setting. This could be a well-furnished tent, a treehouse, or even a dome tent. The goal is to have the best of both worlds: the tranquility of nature and the comfort of modern living.
Types of Glamping Tents
Before diving into suppliers and prices, let’s explore the different types of glamping tents available in the market.
Safari Tents: These are spacious and often come with wooden floors, a deck, and large windows. They are perfect for those who want a home-like experience in the wild.
Bell Tents: Bell tents are stylish and have a classic look. They are easy to set up and can be fitted with luxurious interiors.
Dome Tents: Dome tents are modern and futuristic. Their unique shape allows for efficient space usage and great insulation, making them perfect for various weather conditions.
Tipi Tents: Inspired by Native American tents, these are conical-shaped tents that offer a unique glamping experience.
Why Choose Glamping Tents?
Glamping tents are not just about luxury; they are also about convenience and durability. Unlike traditional tents, glamping tents are designed to last longer and withstand harsh weather conditions. They often come with insulation, heating, and even air conditioning. This makes them perfect for both hot and cold climates.
Additionally, glamping tents can be customized to meet specific needs. Whether you want a tent for a family, a couple, or a solo traveler, there’s a glamping tent out there for you. They also come in various sizes, styles, and materials, ensuring that there is something for everyone.
Top Glamping Tent Suppliers in India
When it comes to purchasing glamping tents, it’s essential to choose a reliable supplier. Here are some top glamping tent suppliers in India:
Nawbeda Industries: Known for their high-quality tents, Nawbeda Industries offers a wide range of glamping tents, including safari tents, bell tents, and dome tents. They are popular for their durable materials and excellent customer service.
Royaltent: Royaltent specializes in luxury tents that are perfect for glamping. They offer a variety of styles and sizes, making it easy to find the right tent for your needs.
Eco Tent: Eco Tent is known for their eco-friendly glamping tents. They focus on sustainability and use materials that are kind to the environment. They offer both custom and pre-designed tents.
India Tent: India Tent provides a variety of tents, including luxury glamping tents. They are known for their attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship.
Understanding Glamping Dome Tent Prices in India
The price of a glamping dome tent in India can vary greatly depending on several factors. These include the size of the tent, the materials used, the level of customization, and the supplier.
Tumblr media
Size: The larger the tent, the higher the price. A dome tent that can accommodate more people will naturally cost more than a smaller one.
Materials: High-quality materials will increase the cost. For example, a tent made from durable, weather-resistant fabric will be more expensive than one made from standard materials.
Customization: If you want to customize your tent with additional features like heating, insulation, or special interiors, expect the price to go up.
Supplier: Different suppliers offer different pricing based on their manufacturing processes, brand reputation, and customer service.
Average Prices
To give you an idea, the price of a standard glamping dome tent in India can range from ₹50,000 to ₹3,00,000 or more. A basic, small dome tent may cost around ₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000, while a larger, fully customized dome tent can go up to ₹3,00,000 or higher. It’s always a good idea to get quotes from multiple suppliers and compare prices before making a purchase.
Why Invest in a Glamping Tent?
Investing in a glamping tent can be a great decision, especially if you are in the tourism business. Glamping is a growing trend, and many tourists are willing to pay a premium for a unique and comfortable outdoor experience. By offering glamping options, you can attract more visitors and increase your revenue.
Moreover, glamping tents are durable and can last for many years with proper maintenance. This means that your initial investment can pay off in the long run.
Conclusion
Glamping is a fantastic way to enjoy nature without sacrificing comfort. With a variety of tents available, from glamping dome tent price in india and safari tents to dome tents, there’s something for everyone. If you’re considering starting a glamping site or just want to buy a tent for personal use, it’s important to choose a reliable supplier and understand the prices.
In India, glamping is becoming increasingly popular, and with the right tent, you can create an unforgettable experience for yourself or your guests. Whether you opt for a simple bell tent or a luxurious dome tent, the world of glamping awaits you.

Glamping Market Trends, Size, Revenue And Top Key Players 2024 - 2030
The global glamping market size was estimated at USD 3.15 billion in 2023 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.7% from 2024 to 2030. The increasing influence of social media among consumers is expected to create awareness about glamping and its benefits. In addition, major discounts, as well as irresistible holiday packages offered by various tourism sites, are expected to have a positive impact on the industry.
Festivals have been used by American cities to promote business and draw talent. Glamping also referred to as glamorous camping, has emerged as one of the most popular consumer trends in the U.S. Also, it is predicted that a key element boosting the glamping industry over the projection period will be the rise in the number of concerts and significant music festivals organized every other week in different parts of the world.
Gather more insights about the market drivers, restrains and growth of the Glamping Market
The factors including preferences for experiences over traditional pampering and possessions, availability of time, and the willingness of consumers to pay for luxury travel or glamping sites are some of the factors that are anticipated to boost the glamping industry in the forecast period from 2023 to 2030.
Glamping allows for an outdoor travel experience without bringing (or buying) equipment, and at certain properties, it also offers luxury amenities and services typical of a hotel. For instance, AutoCamp, a licensed partner of Airstream Inc., offers several accommodation types which are pet-friendly and include custom modern cabins, luxury tents (based on seasonality), and more. Each property also offers a clubhouse featuring community fire pits, lawn games, board games, and hammocks.
Also, observers of travel trends have remarked that whereas in the past, staycations were primarily used for special occasions, in recent times, couples, families, and groups of people have realized that they need to indulge themselves on their days off from work and family commitments. Many nowadays choose nearby getaways for long weekends, which is another reason why vacationers prefer taking vacations within the borders of cities. This is yet another element that will boost the glamping market’s growth during the anticipated timeframe.
A few players are also offering a glamping experience for seniors or baby boomers, which gives an opportunity to older people to live in the natural environment without digital penetration and WiFi, and with an addition of luxury and comfort. For instance, The Resort at Paws Up is one of the innovators in combining luxurious lodging with conventional camping experiences. In 2019, it announced an expansion of the glamping site featuring 12 adult-only accommodations in treehouses.
Many players in the market are more inclined towards collaborating with major hotels and restaurants, software companies for high technology-related appliances, culinary services, musicians and bands, and more to increase their service footprint and boost their revenues. For instance, in May 2021, Under Canvas partnered with Gibson, an iconic guitar brand, to enhance guest programming across its nine locations in the U.S. Also, in May 2022, Interval International, a leading vacation provider, renewed a 30-year contract with Westgate Resorts.
Glamping is an accessible modern form of recreation and an increasingly popular accommodation in the tourism and hospitality sector. Before the outbreak of COVID-19 cases across the globe, interest in camping among new and experienced campers was evident.

Global Glamping Market Forecast and Analysis Report (2023-2032)
Tumblr media
The global glamping market is growing at a substantial CAGR of 10.50% in the upcoming years. The global glamping industry was estimated to be worth USD 2.3 billion in 2021 and was expected to be worth USD 4.18 billion by 2028.
Glamping Market, a portmanteau of "glamorous" and "camping," represents a burgeoning segment of the travel and hospitality industry that combines the adventure of traditional camping with the luxury and amenities of high-end accommodations. This market caters to travelers seeking unique, immersive outdoor experiences without sacrificing comfort and convenience. Glamping accommodations range from safari tents, yurts, and treehouses to more elaborate setups like geodesic domes, airstreams, and eco-pods, often equipped with plush bedding, en-suite bathrooms, electricity, and even Wi-Fi.
The growth of the glamping market is driven by several factors. There is a rising consumer preference for experiential travel, where people seek more than just a destination—they seek memorable and unique experiences. Millennials and Gen Z, in particular, are fueling this trend, valuing experiences over material possessions and often sharing their adventures on social media. This demographic shift is accompanied by a growing awareness and appreciation for nature and sustainable travel practices. Glamping sites often emphasize eco-friendly practices, such as solar power, composting toilets, and sourcing local, sustainable materials, aligning with the increasing demand for responsible tourism.
The market is highly diverse, with offerings tailored to various levels of luxury and types of experiences, from rustic and minimalist to opulent and extravagant. It attracts a broad audience, including families, couples, solo travelers, and corporate groups, seeking everything from romantic getaways to team-building retreats. Additionally, many glamping sites are located in scenic, off-the-beaten-path locations, providing access to natural beauty and outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and stargazing.
The competitive landscape of the Glamping Market is characterized by a mix of specialized glamping providers, traditional hospitality brands venturing into the sector, and individual entrepreneurs transforming unique properties into glamping destinations. This diverse array of competitors creates a dynamic market environment with several key competitive factors:
Traditional Hospitality Brands:
Marriott International: Through its Autograph Collection, Marriott has ventured into glamping, offering luxury tents and cabins in scenic locations to attract high-end travelers.
Hyatt Hotels: With its Unbound Collection, Hyatt offers unique glamping experiences that combine luxury amenities with outdoor adventure, targeting a niche segment of the market.
Individual Entrepreneurs and Boutique Operators:
Entrepreneurs are capitalizing on the glamping trend by converting farms, vineyards, and private lands into glamping sites. These boutique operations often emphasize local culture, sustainability, and personalized service.
Competitive Factors:
Prime locations with stunning natural beauty, such as national parks, coastal regions, and remote wilderness areas, are crucial for attracting guests. Proximity to popular outdoor activities also enhances the appeal of glamping sites.
Unique and Luxurious Accommodations:
Differentiation through unique accommodation types (e.g., treehouses, geodesic domes, vintage airstreams) and high-end amenities (e.g., hot tubs, gourmet dining) is vital. Offering a blend of comfort and adventure attracts a broad demographic.
Eco-friendly initiatives, such as using renewable energy, composting toilets, and locally sourced materials, are increasingly important to environmentally conscious travelers. Demonstrating a commitment to sustainability can be a significant competitive advantage.
Experiential Offerings:
Providing unique experiences, such as guided hikes, wildlife safaris, stargazing, and cultural activities, enhances the overall appeal of glamping sites. Tailored experiences that cater to specific interests (e.g., wellness retreats, adventure sports) can attract niche markets.
Marketing and Branding:
Strong branding that emphasizes the unique aspects of the glamping experience, coupled with effective digital marketing strategies, is essential for attracting and retaining customers. Leveraging social media, influencer partnerships, and travel platforms helps increase visibility and reach.
Customer Service and Personalization:
Exceptional customer service and personalized touches, such as customized itineraries and attentive staff, enhance guest satisfaction and encourage repeat bookings. Building a loyal customer base through memorable experiences is key to long-term success.
Challenges and Opportunities:
High Initial Investment: Developing glamping sites with high-end amenities requires significant upfront investment. Operators must balance costs with potential returns to achieve profitability.
Regulatory Compliance: Navigating zoning laws and obtaining permits can be challenging, particularly in remote or protected areas. Ensuring compliance with local regulations is essential.
Seasonality: Glamping is often seasonal, with peak periods during warmer months. Operators must strategize to maximize occupancy year-round, possibly by offering off-season discounts or special events.

There are some key trends that are worth looking into before jumping into a new venture, we’ll explain which are the ones we think show true promise and why.
TOURISM
The Leisure industry is one of the fastest-growing industries. One of the contributory factors could be the rise in the ‘staycation’ holiday market which really started picking up some steam - the Glamping industry (think cabins, tree-houses, upcycled Gypsy Caravans and exquisitely crafted luxury tents and you’re on the money).
You don’t need to spend too much time analysing market reports to see what’s happening, for this trend is exemplified by the popularity of British Television programmes such as “George Clarkes Amazing Spaces” and the emergence of uber-fashionable and super successful UK Glamping Travel Agencies such as Alistair Sawday’s “Canopy and Stars” and Tim Rees “Quality Unearthed” at the forefront of the trend. (And it’s not a trend, by the way, our sources indicate that this is most definitely a growth curve which looks set to continue).
A large percentage of people are now trading in their traditional 2-week vacation abroad in favour of several long weekend breaks and mini-breaks to work around their careers/businesses and families.
Oliver Smith, digital travel editor of the Telegraph writes:
“Travelodge now claims that, despite recent poor weather, holidays at home are back in demand.  Its annual holiday report, which featured a survey of 3,000 adults, revealed that 65 per cent of people would be taking a summer holiday in Britain that year – up from 41 per cent the previous year, and 35 per cent in 2011.”
Everyone is looking to cash in on the 'boutique' escape boom at the moment
The sheer diversity of overnight accommodation units now being utilised by farmers and landowners to generate a return is quite staggering. The most desirable are safari tents, cabin tents, eco tents, treehouses, yurts, eco-pods, bell-tents, Ti-Pi’s, gypsy caravans, timber-framed luxury cabins and modular garden buildings, and other luxury tents and glamping structures. It makes sense to select the type of building which best suits your business and client base.
If you had a beautiful paddock, for example, and a budget of R100,000.00 for your capital investment it would be worth considering a tent or a Ti-Pi for an authentic glamping retreat. Conversely, a landowner of a country estate with a 4* hotel wishing to expand on their current offering may be more inclined to budget ten times this amount for an exclusive lodge, treehouse or Roundhouse.
ECO-TOURISM
This leads us to the Eco-Tourism industry, cited to be the fastest growing sector within the rapidly expanding tourism industry.   A common driver in the Glamping and Outdoor Experience Staycation holiday theme is the pre-requisite for a beautiful, natural rural location in which guests can unwind, recharge and immerse themselves in nature.
Tom Dixon, managing director of Sawday’s Canopy & Stars says: ‘In general, travellers are starting to look for more experiential holidays. They want to try something different, something that’s a million miles from what they do in normal life. People really do enjoy getting back to nature and a more relaxed kind of holiday, but we all like a bit of comfort too.”
Ecotourism is now defined as “responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment, sustains the well-being of the local people, and involves interpretation and education” (TIES, 2015). Education is meant to be inclusive of both staff and guests.
Ecotourism has become one of the fastest-growing sectors of the tourism industry, growing annually by 10–15% worldwide (Miller, 2007).
Ecotourism is about uniting conservation, communities, and sustainable travel.
With environmental conservation being a highly emotive area for a large percentage of the population, there are many of us who choose to travel on our holidays with a primary objective in mind; to engage in volunteering on a wildlife conservation project. Creating a memorable experience whilst learning is a satisfying adventure and there are some wonderful organisations and charities operating within the tourism industry that organise trips and adventures to enable the environmentally driven holidaymaker to gain experience in the fields of permaculture, bushcraft, organic farming, forestry practices, wildlife conservation and marine biology to name but a few.
One of the best examples of a non-profit organisation operating in the field of international eco-tourism is Ecoteer Responsible Travel, founded in 2005 by Daniel Quilter, a marine biologist, after a volunteering experience at Sukau in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. Ecoteer Responsible Travel was formed to help concentrate resources to develop meaningful volunteer and ecotourism experiences which could help solve the specific issues for each project.
As Daniel states on his website “Ecoteer.com benefited from the UK recession as more people had free time and were looking for low-cost long term projects and is now a favourite amongst students and career breakers looking for work experience in the ecotourism, environmental awareness and conservation sectors. The Ecoteer.com website supports over 200 independently-run grass-root organisations in over 50 countries and by 2011 Ecoteer had over 1,500 subscribing members.”
And it would appear that the ecotourism trend is establishing itself within the UK tourism industry.
‘Green Traveller” which lists over 700 green places to stay was founded in 2006 by travel journalist Richard Hammond, the former ecotourism journalist for The Guardian and author of “Clean Breaks – 500 New Ways to see the world”. The site is a fantastic resource which features eco-friendly places to stay and holidays which can be conveniently reached by bike, public transport, train or ferry.
They also try to link these up with a range of things to do in the local area, including Local Food & Drink, Farmers’ Markets, Family Days Out, Festivals, Museums, Gardens, Arts and Craft, Walks, Cycle Rides and Watersports, Wildlife Watching and more.
When we phoned GreenTraveller to quiz Richard about his perspective of this industry he stated: “We’ve seen a definite increase in not only the number of sites advertising with us but in the interest in this style of holiday. There are not only more environmentally friendly places to stay in the UK but the number of initiatives which the proprietors are installing is also on the increase, a primary example of this is the installation of green technology. Many are upgrading facilities which place an emphasis on maximising the efficiency of their energy, assist with the minimisation of waste alongside the implementation of alternative water systems.”
This information alone, combined with the plethora of information available in the media and via independent sources is indicating to us that there is a real promise to be found if you can offer the following to your prospective guests:
Authenticity
Clean, fresh air, organic & locally grown produce\
An unspoilt, natural location (preferably with water)
An experience which connects them with their inner nature (or inner child ie: men=treehouses!)
A valuable learning experience, whether this is learning about the local farmers market or learning how to rely on green technology (or zero technology!)
An opportunity to make unique memories
It shouldn’t be too difficult for you to start drafting up the pros of an eco-retreat in your business plan for the future, and gaining planning permission could be more achievable if you were considerate of both conservation and an opportunity to boost the local economy.
Of course, it would be highly advisable to ensure your overnight accommodation buildings (or structures) are quirky, memorable and built to provide a level of comfort which correlates to the return you’d like to generate back on your investment.
