My lil sister was living with us for a year while she was starting motherhood, and there was a tornado siren going off at night and I ran to her room

and shouted tornado! And she just rolled over to me. Gave me a dirty look for waking her up

Rolled back over and im like!!!! wtf?! Tornado!

finally she was cognitive enough and got herself and the baby downstairs lol she laughs whn I remind her of that story. 'Wtf you waking me up for a damn tornado? Dumbass'

I've been reading facts on Wikipedia again, and i'm overcome with the need to terrify non-Americans with the most underrated Terrifying American Thing: TORNADOES

#The parkersburg /allison iowa ef5 tornado is very close to me #My best friend at the time had just bought a house there and was fixing it up before moving in #At the time they were only letting residents into the town to find their belongings #She took me to see if she still had a house #It was like nothing I'd seen before #Basements were emptied #The one room in your house thats supposed to keep you safe from a tornado #And it was ripped up and out of many houses #Other basements acted like a bowl collecting cars and debris #We still see the scars from the tornado today. No adult trees #The path is still visible in the forested areas #This was in 2008 #Tornado #Iowa #This is also very accurate
