Kenji Muto's Twitter Posts: Part 1
Before and while Tristamp was airing, Kenji Muto made some amazing Twitter posts giving us lore and production tidbits along the way. And while I don't speak Japanese (so I'm going to have to use Google Translate for this, so take everything you read here with a grain of salt because it may be skewed by mistranslation), there was some fantastic art and really cool concepts shared, and I want to archive anything Trigun-related. If I miss anything, let me know!) It starts a little slow with stuff we already know, but there are some interesting tidbits! If anyone who knows Japanese wants to correct anything, please feel free! Now, without further ado...
Part 1 [here]
Part 2
?
12:23 AM · Jul 4, 2022
I started Twitter. This is Muto, director of TRIGUN STAMPEDE.
1:41 AM · Jul 7, 2022
#TRIGUN
This is my first time directing a feature-length series. We have created a magnificent worldview based on the beautiful concept art and character designs by Koji Tajima. New information should be released one after another. looking forward to. #TRIGUN
7:27 AM · Aug 3, 2022
#TRIGUN
I thought that Mr. Hanamori's expression of ``dependence and attachment'' on the official website was accurate. Shonen Nai is the character that took the most time to formulate his behavioral principles. The mysterious patterns that appear on the clothes are also designed by Koji Tajima. What kind of meaning does it really contain? The photo shows an additional souvenir from Los Angeles. #TRIGUN
12:15 AM · Aug 23, 2022
#TRIGUN
For some reason, most of the official concept art released is from the boyhood version. In the original manga, Nai plays an organ-like or piano-like instrument. How do you feel when you play, and who do you have in mind when you play? Come to think of it, when will that concept art be released? When will it be lifted? #TRIGUN
3:42 AM · Aug 31, 2022
#TRIGUN
When I arrived at work, there was a TRIGUN STAMPEDE poster on the wall. By the way, the poster next to me is of the TV anime BEASTARS, directed by Shinichi Matsumi, which I have been supporting since its debut. The second poster is also in the works. #TRIGUN
5:43 AM · Sep 4, 2022
#TRIGUN
A three-dimensional model of the mothership made for the performance. It's exquisitely twisted and not designed with left and right symmetry, so it's difficult to draw it from three sides. Rem Saverem is the fifth ship. The third ship survived the crash. I come to work on Sunday and am currently working in the sound booth. #TRIGUN
11:10 PM · Sep 13, 2022
#TRIGUN
By explaining things to the other person, your mind will be organized. It is important to translate feelings into logic and verbalize them. I would like to continue doing interview interviews for magazines, as they are very stimulating. However, I am not good at handling unexpected questions and improvisation. #TRIGUN
12:25 AM · Oct 17, 2022
#TRIGUN
It's finally unveiled. The second poster made with cell-look CG takes more time than it looks. The talented staff, whose names cannot yet be made public, have been working behind the scenes. If you look closely, there are hidden hints about the main story, so please enjoy it like a treasure hunt. The second trailer has also been released. #TRIGUN
11:01 PM · Nov 8, 2022
#TRIGUN
Dubbing is also in progress. The sense of realism, the sound effects, the mixing, and the wonderful accompaniment music. I wanted to listen to it in the acoustic environment of a movie theater, but it was decided that an advance screening would be held. In Katsumata-san's words, I think it means "the feeling of groove is irresistible!" The power of sound is terrifying. #TRIGUN
4:35 AM · Nov 28, 2022
#TRIGUN
I'm not good at repeating the same content over and over again, so I try to vary the themes and content from magazine to magazine as much as possible. When viewed from multiple angles, the work appears three-dimensional. We are sure to continue to publish interview articles full of behind-the-scenes information in the future. The third poster will be completed soon. #TRIGUN
12:02 AM · Dec 5, 2022
#TRIGUN
Thank you to the kind customers who patiently listened to the unfamiliar talk. I was saved by the gentle and warm applause. Are you unable to carry a conversation while making people laugh like an actor? The Stampede team members advised us, ``It depends on the number of places.'' We have to work hard on the next stage in order to make it to the number of places. #TRIGUN
10:54 PM · Dec 5, 2022
#TRIGUN
Lately, I've been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the advertising team. People in positions that are different from the field staff and with whom I had no previous contact. It's because of these unsung heroes that my work spreads. When you go out for drinks with them, you can get a feel for their personalities. Group warfare, group work, group art. It's a project with a lot to learn. #TRIGUN
12:30 AM · Dec 22, 2022
https://youtu.be/oolZJKslJcU #TRIGUN
There seem to be many TRIGUN STAMPEDE signboards on Shinjuku Ad Street and elsewhere. It seems like the advertising team is planning some interesting things in the future, but I'm really looking forward to it. Behind the scenes, there are people working hard behind the scenes. In this way, the work will continue to expand. Bravo. https://youtu.be/oolZJKslJcU #TRIGUN
[Boo, dead Youtube link ):< If anyone knows what it was, let me know and I'll insert that info here]
3:21 AM · Dec 28, 2022
#TRIGUN
Before I knew it, I received a TRIGUN STAMPEDE New Year's card that someone had made for me. Stampede simply sits looking at the camera. This photo shows the attitude of the on-site staff as they approach the work with sincerity. 2022 is the last spurt of dubbing (final mix) at the end of the story. #TRIGUN
6:37 AM · Jan 4, 2023
#TRIGUN
When I look at cold brew coffee at a coffee shop, I think of TRIGUN STAMPEDE. Although the appearance may change, the ingredients and aroma of the beans are still present. The beans called Naito Sensei are roasted, ground, and carefully extracted drop by drop. Pour into a super modern coffee cup and enjoy. We look forward to your continued support in 2023. #TRIGUN
9:13 AM · Jan 7, 2023
#TRIGUN

#TRIGUN
The first, second and third episodes of the series script are I think it's hop step jump. It's like the name of a weekly magazine serial. #TRIGUN

#TRIGUN
Captain Chuck Lee is a lovable villain who has achieved an unusual promotion from just a mob to a side character. As I draw the storyboards, the characters start moving on their own. He starts speaking lines that aren't in the scenario, or gets violent. Tomokazu Sugita's mysterious performance shines. #TRIGUN
10:56 PM · Jan 10, 2023
#TRIGUN
In the early days, while drinking with Mr. Naito, “I want to value the feel of touch.” “I want to value a sense of existence.” That's what I was talking about all the time. The atmosphere and lifestyle of the planet are beautifully reproduced. A tag team from the days of Land of the Lustrous, Yuji Kaneko's art world. #TRIGUN
7:06 AM · Jan 11, 2023
Born and raised in the third city of July. With the help of his parents, he entered the military police academy through the back door. The golden gun was a gift from his parents for entering school. Their world expands beyond the screen, and there are also stories about them that are not depicted in the main story. Look forward to Chuck Lee's reappearance.

A familiar silhouette. Although it was too heavy to use for motion capture, this imitation was very useful as a pose reference. I imagine it's probably heavier in reality when I direct it. The exterior is lost technology, and the interior is a synthetic weapon called a machine gun. "Punishment" means "punishment".

Witcher season 4 has wrapped filming!
doing some math here
season 2 time between filming wrapped to release: Apr. 1, 2021 - Dec. 17, 2021, 260 days or 8 and a half months
season 3 time between filming wrapped to release: Sep. 9, 2022,-Jun. 29, 2023: 293 days or 9 and 3/4 months
so it will probably be somewhere in the range of 8-10 months so early July to late August 2025 is my guess
now there is also the fact that both Stranger Things and Wednesday are supposed to come in the second half of 2025 as well ST I don't think we have to worry about it since they don't finish filming till January and won't be done with production till fall 2025
but Wednesday was filming around the same time as Witcher so we will see how they affect each other since a doubt Netflix will release two of their biggest shows in the same month
another interesting note is that season 3 took about 5 and a half months to film (161 days) and that was with Covid delays, and a certain cast member trying to hold things up
while season 4 had no delays that we know of, an extra month to prepare (since they were originally going to start filming in March), and due to the plot this season the 3 main cast members Liam, Anya, and Freya did not have to have matching schedules this season, and it took an extra month of filming about 6 and a half months or 190 days
So I'm not sure if that means we will be getting slightly longer episodes like ROP or WOT season 2 got with at least an hour even without the credits or if it means we will be getting more spectacle and complex scenes this season, either way I'm hyped

Taking a break from homework to ask 11, 12, and 30 from that ask game you reblogged (I’m super super interested in the way other people go about writing their fics lolol 🙏)
YIPPEEEEE
11. Do you write scenes in order, or do you jump around?
truthfully it kind of depends! whenever i write i tend to have The Scene in mind and if i get impatient i'll usually write it, but i try to avoid doing it because i notice it messes with flow (but flow and pacing is something im just very conscious of, even though i observe that because im writing it my brain is reading it faster/skimming so its partially a me problem LOL)
in caged lungs im skipping around only because im trying to go with a draft format instead of editing as i go, since its so long itll help when i see everything connected, and there's a few scenes i plan on changing/rewriting completely when i get it all out. technically everything ive posted up to this point is a first draft, and its a habit i hope to break !!
12. Do you outline your fics? If yes, how detailed are your outlines? How far do you stray from them?
i doooo yes, its mostly just a list of things/interactions i know i want. for cvd i have plans for up to chapter 9/10 or so, and just a bunch of scripts/concepts for later. with canary continuity i have a description for each scene on the google doc and i just add the content in as i go, with my actual notepad (thing i discovered i had on my laptop and have been using liberally) i mostly have quotes and passages i want to put in the story
and also for cc in particular im keeping really close track of the motifs and how i want to work them back around. already thinking about the healing part of the arc and implanting scenes/chekhovs guns that are going to loop back around WAY down the line is very funny... i actually do some of this for cvd too, i love to write intentionally like that.... i am weirdly pretentious and earnest about my turtle fanfiction. people have no idea what im going to do with that lamp and i bide my time. also the clocks. and the laundry room. and the ocean (actually that one's fine its just a parallel). and the rooftop. and the cameras oh my god the cameras. i plan on committing so many horrors
really just things i know i WANT to be consistent with is the biggest thing i keep track of (although sometimes things will just pop up AS i'm writing and i roll with the punches, like the security system being a metaphor in coming undone, and also all of the very intentional trust fall parallels and the way it conveniently worked with the chapter names. fun fact for metaphors, i REALLY planned to expand on the chess thing between leo and donnie but it messed with the pacing so im keeping it for cvd.... ive got some ideas)
OH EXCEPT FOR THAT SEP AU IVE VAGUELY TALKED ABOUT. i have EVERY SINGLE chapter plotted out, its 52 chapters long. i am NOT GOING TO WORRY ABOUT IT RIGHT NOW its a far in the future thing. but its also the only au i have that isnt like,,, specifically canon divergent, so i wanted to pay close attention to how i set things up. 4 later (currently the working name for it is where we went wrong, after the song by the hush sound, and honestly im tempted to keep it because it makes the acronym wwww which is beautifully ironic because they take NOTHING BUT LS ITS JUST ONE AFTER ANOTHER OH MY GOD)
30. How much do you edit your fics? Do you edit as you write or wait until you finish the first draft?
OH I KIND OF ALREADY ANSWERED THIS ABOVE OOPS. im trying to break out of the habit but i mostly just grammar correct through google docs and then throw out the first draft haphazardly, and it can kinda come off polished anyway because i tend to edit as i go. sometimes it means i'll fix mistakes in fics like a month after releasing them, impatience is my Weakness
wow i yap a lot LMFAO the yapperrrr

Jennifer E. Suddeth, 17 (USA 1982)
Jennifer and her boyfriend John Fredzess were scared. The 17-year-old girl was losing an alarming amount of blood.
The two of them were on the 4 hour drive back home after Jennifer’s abortion. It had been done by Franklin Henry "Frank" Robinson Sr. in California, where abortion was legal.
Over the course of the drive, John repeatedly called the abortion facility and told them that something was seriously wrong with Jennifer. The staff at the facility refused to put him through to Robinson. One nurse scolded Jennifer’s boyfriend and told him to “be realistic” about how much blood Jennifer really lost. By that time, John had already watched his girlfriend bleed through two pairs of sweat pants, two blankets and a towel.
Finally, John called another location where the abortionist worked and told him about what was happening to Jennifer. The abortionist insisted that the bleeding was normal and told John to stop calling.
Soon after that, Jennifer went into convulsions. John called 911, but Jennifer was already dead by the time paramedics got there. She lost 6 quarts of blood.
The investigation was horribly mishandled. Police Sergeant Miriam Travis, who was called to the scene to investigate, did not collect any evidence and only took four photographs at the death scene because she claimed she "ran out of film". She later allegedly lost two of the photographs.
The abortionist who killed Jennifer was arrested for first-degree murder and held for two days without bail. But then he was released.
Robinson admitted that Jennifer’s boyfriend had repeatedly called, but denied dismissing Jennifer's symptoms as no cause for concern. He claimed that he had first told John to bring Jennifer back to the facility, but that John had then said he was too tired to make the drive. Robinson claimed he then told John to either call 911 or drive Jennifer to the hospital himself. "I was practically pleading," he said.
Robinson’s charges were then reduced to manslaughter and he was eventually acquitted.
For some reason, the state of California officially counted Jennifer’s death in their statistics as an illegal abortion death. This was done despite the fact that abortion is fully legal in California and the abortionist was running his business legally.
Jennifer and her baby were killed on June 30, 1982 and both of them were denied justice. We can’t let this keep happening.

[TRANS] Thairath News Interview 06 Sep 2023
Revealing BamBam’s heart: How his first solo World Tour mean to him
translated by kissdatbam
Story by: Supaluck Wuttikreethachai
It was a bomb to music industry, when “BamBam – Kunpimook Bhuwakul” or “BamBam GOT7” the well-known K-Pop artist with Thai nationality, growing experiences till the day that he is ready to throw his own soloist world tour “2023-2024 BamBam the 1st World Tour [Area 52] in Bangkok” on 28 October 2023 at 17.00 hrs. at Thunder Dome Stadium. The ticket shall be opened for sale on 10 September 2023 starting from 10.00 hrs. via Thai Ticket Major. Now, before the start of his world tour, “Entertainment News” snatched a time of “BamBam” to reveal his heart that shows his determination, and focus as well as his view toward IGOT7s, a name of GOT7’s fanclub, to ensure and confirm that we made the right choice to love this person!!.
Q1: For “BamBam” how does the word “the 1st World Tour” mean to you? BB: It’s like I’m growing up for another step. We had our group World Tour for 3 times. I am the last member that just started my soloist world tour because I want to release at least 3 albums first. For me, this is my ultimate dream ever since I started my solo career – after the world tour is finished, I may have other new goals krub. Q2: How do you prepare yourself for this world tour – for both your body and mind? BB: I’ve continuously rehearsed for the concert krub. I also returned to workout. With respect to my mentality, I admit that I felt both pressured and excited at the same time, so I try to build up my confidence so that I will have energy to pass to the audience. Q3: We heard that BamBam has a lot of participation and involvement in this concert – does this give any new experience to you? BB: I have learnt a lot of behind-the-scenes works. Since this is the 1st World Tour with my new company i.e., ABYSS, they let me participate in almost everything since the first place which includes the stage plan, and benefits give away for this event. They also allow me to get involved in setting the ticket price and shows. All with supporting teams to help. This makes me understand the feeling of the audience even more. Since I have a chance to get involved in all of these, from the perspective of a performer on a stage, I know what the audience wants the most, and what their expectations are. There’re also teams to support me.
Q4: What would you like to convey to fans through this concert? BB: There’re a lot of things krub. I saw many times that ticket price was increased too much to the extent that it’s unreachable/inaccessible. But for my first world tour, I want it to be like a festival that my fans gathering to celebrate it with me. So, I want to organize the ticket price and every given benefits to be on par with the standard they were used to be in 6-7 years ago, which were accessible to everyone, while the show performed in the concert is exceedingly greater than the ticket price. I want everyone to be happy.
Q5: What would you like the fans to see/acknowledge? BB: I want them to see/acknowledge the sincerity of me, ABYSS and IME Thailand that is a promoter, and I wish them to see my potential and growth like what I’ve changed and grew during these two and half years during my solo period.
Q6: Since Thailand is your homeland, do you have any special excitement with your first solo concert? BB: Now – there’ re two more months before the concert – so, I have not yet had any excitement. But I think that my excitement may be skyrocketing on the ticket on-sale date if the result come out as planned. Q7: Now your fans are super excited. BB: (smile) I am truly appreciated that krub. Even though there’s no information released – they are looking forward to attend this event already. Thank you to fans that always have trust in me. Q8: Did you see their excitement and preparation for their costumes/outfits for the concert? BB: I think that that’s a small event which they can enjoy along with the concert. The fact that they will dress to the theme is one of the activities that made them felt like they are part of the show. They asked me if I have a theme for the concert, and I answered that I did not have any specific dress code. I just told them a key word “Alien” (LOL)
Q9: BamBam is about to have the world tour, how do GOT7’s members support you? BB: Actually, everyone always supports each other. If you what to know to what extent my members give their supports to me, you may wait and see in my world tour because I cannot say more than this (smile). Q10: Did you have a chance to talk/update about the life frequently with the members? What is the most issue that you guys are talking about? BB: Sometimes we talked about our works. We also talked about the music – exchanging our songs and asked each other to give the comments. Since the style of our solo songs are totally different, when we meet each other, we always ask each other if there’s anything we can help each other. If there’s anything we can do, we would like to do so. If we have a chance to meet, we will try to help each other relieves the stress.
Q11: We always see that BamBam is closed with the fans and talked to them a lot in the social network. You also open up for their views such as their proposal for your hairstyle or even to call them back to GOT7 which made you are beloved by them even more….what made you want to get closer to them like this? BB: Though I call them back – there’s no sign of their return (smile). Well, I personally feel that since I have my own SNS channels, I want to use it as efficiently as I could. I want to communicate with them and want them to participate with me as much as possible. If I just only tell/invite them to my show – I think this is a waste of time. We can use such opportunities to have fun and have them all participated, so I tried to share my moment with them. However, if there’s any thing that I may have to keep as a secret, I have to do so (smile).
Q12: Many say that “BamBam” is an artist who made you feel that he’s your family member, be it – for mommy team, girlfriend team or those who are indecisive like a combination team (something between mom and girlfriend) – do you also feel like that? BB: For me, fans in each country have their own style. For example, in Thailand – the fans will have their motherhood so much since they see me ever since I was a kid. What they always did are like they really raise me up as their child for real. They always talk with me about my works like “you did really good today”, or “I think this hairdo might not fit you, how about this one”.
Q13: Just like a mother look after her child? BB: Yes krub. Thai fans usually give out this mother-like feeling. However, for other international fans – they do not have this vibe. They always in fans/girlfriend mode. Like if I go to the USA, or to my latest visit at Mexico, I will be in a 100% manly mode. If I am in Thailand – I will be in a baby mode, but if I go there, I will also be in other mode.
Q14: Do you have any special thing you would like to do or eat during your return to Thailand this time? BB: There’s nothing new for the food krub. But the newest thing for me is that I had a chance to participate in the Ghost Radio show. I have been their fan for 5 years, and I had a chance to meet with P’ Jack (the DJ) for the first time – and had a chance to create a new record to them. We both happy with this. I am really thankful since fans of the show also acknowledged me as a true fan for this show.
Q15: When you see your fans supporting you in everything be it big or small (e.g., when BamBam got hurt at his eyebrow – IGOT7s also felt hurt), how do you feel about this – does this fill up the good energy in you? BB: It’s a positive energy to me. Whenever they worried about me, the feeling that I had is that I wish I could repay them. So, this world tour will be a reward/ something that I would use to repay to them for everything all of them gave to me through these years. I tried to repay them as much as I could.
Q16: You’ve gone through so many things on your artist journey and now you have been acknowledged and accepted by fans in many countries including in Korea – you have continuously gained so many loves and supports – how do you feel with your current status? BB: I would like to thank my fans for still being with me. Seriously, if I release my song but there’s no one listening to it – then, there’s no point making the music. I am grateful that there’re fans who are still supporting me. I don’t know if my fans are increasing, decreasing, or staying the same in numbers, but I also felt that I’ve gained more acceptances in countries that I visited, especially these days in Korea. After I went to the show(s), when I was in Korea – people know me more these days and I’m happy with this.
Q17: When we were children, we used to have inspiration from artists, and now BamBam has become an inspiration to follow your dream for many people. Like recently, Nong Rod-Tu (a hilltribe man who showed up in a tv show in Thailand – having BB as his inspiration) drew your picture and talk about this in the show – how do you feel about this. BB: When I was young, I had so many artists as my inspirations, but I felt that I did not have any moment with or close to them. When I watched the show that Rod-Tu drew my portrait, I felt really good. I f want to do something to let him know that I got his message, so I put it on my IG story. I am happy to know that now I am at the point that I can be an inspiration for others just like when I used to have other artists as my inspiration, but more than that is I can also interact with them and be more approachable to them.

I recently decided to watch all Batman movies. Then I saw how many movies that was, and added a bunch of qualifiers. It’s still too many movies but, you know, we do what we can.
I’m going to be posting about each movie after I watch it. I don’t expect this to be interesting to anyone who isn’t me but I might as well document the process. More rambling details under the cut.
The full list of theatrical and direct-to-video movies that feature Batman was 83 movies long, 84 if you count Catwoman (2004) which I do intend to watch for reasons of historical significance even though Batman doesn’t appear in it. For purposes of this list, a movie counts as a Batman movie if Bruce Wayne, or another character acting as Batman, has at least one line of dialogue. Crowd scenes like Space Jam 2 don’t count but baby Bruce in the Joker does.
The first qualifier that I tried was that I wouldn’t watch anything with a runtime under 1 hour, or anything that was just episodes of a TV show edited together, but this didn’t pare down the list nearly as much as I hoped. I really didn’t want to use different qualifiers for direct-to-video movies versus theatrical releases, but I made it about 10 minutes into Mask of the Phantasm before I was forced to confront the fact that I don’t actually care about Bruce Wayne The Man Himself that much. So for direct-to-video movies, at least one of his children has to be in it as well. Theatrical movies get to skip this requirement because otherwise I wouldn’t be watching uh, almost any of them.
These qualifiers only mark which movies are mandatory - I’ll probably end up watching a bunch that break these rules, but at least this takes the pressure off a bit lol
I haven’t gone back through and culled the list yet, so here is the full list of 84 movies.

New Adventures of Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder (1949 serial)

Completely Watched
Love in the Air
Country: Thailand
Release Dates: Aug 18, 2022 - Nov 10, 2022
Watch Via: Youtube (free)
Watch Dates : Nov 2 - 10, 2022
Rating: 6.5/10
Overall Impression: RainPayu - I thought I’d have to ignore more things than I did lol; a few things happen early on and we can ignore that + the fact that there wasn’t consent/discussion for a brat/tamer dynamic and just enjoy it - still a fun dynamic. Character growth and growing into a relationship is like a fair plot for a BL. Enjoyable but not a fave; don’t think about them at all. PaiSky - They took up much more of my brain space than PayuRain, both in good and bad ways. Pai was shitty in the first few eps of their story (mans is fr a stalker, doesn’t take no ew) but he’s also so good for Pai once he stops with the creepy shit and I have to be like... whelp, if you like him. I watched ep 10 and 11 being like “I shall ignore all of Pai’s questionable behavior” and it’s definitely enjoyable that way, I liked ep 10 the best. The show is known for the NC scenes and I enjoyed both pair’s second NC scenes. There were some production issues, like the sound was just shit and the editing for the second half was kinda worse than the first half.

HIStory3: Make Our Days Count
Country: Taiwan
Release Dates: Oct 16, 2019 - Dec 18, 2019
Watch Via: Youtube (free)
Watch Dates : Nov 13 - 17, 2022
Rating: 5.5/10
Overall Impression: in the beginning i was really annoyed by several characters (esp Haoting and Sun Bo) and after I stopped being annoyed, I also stopped caring oof. Don’t think I’ll think about the show or characters ever again. Also am not gonna watch ep 19/20. I liked the occasional scenes of Haoting and his sister; I am lover of sibling relationships.

Watch Dates : Nov 18 - 26, 2022
Rating: 6/10
Overall Impression: It’s a cute show, I was enjoying it but then the GMMTV 2023 showcase happened and I stopped caring about this. It was okay and cute enough but won’t stick with me. The OST is nice though, I like the “slow motion” song

Nov 21: GMMTV 2023 Showcase, it’s like watching a whole show. 2023 GMMTV Showcase Post
Love in the Air: Special Episode
Country: Thailand
Release Dates: Nov 26, 2022
Watch Via: :>
Watch Dates : Nov 27, 2022
Rating: 5.5/10
Overall Impression: holy shit, sound issues. uhh I thought the Daddy thing would be like 1 bleep in the middle of an NC scene but it seems like it’s a Whole Thing rip (Sky laughing and saying “Paw-krap” is cute and endearing though); anyway, skipping most of that scene bc it’s just not for me. lmfao sorry SkyPai’s “Sky playing games on his phone while Pai’s getting handsy and kissy with him” works incredibly well for me (desperate Pai? ignoring? bruh it’s so aksdfl;kjfd) but Sky’s phone screen being completely black was killing me lmfao Also Sky grabbing fistfuls of Pai’s hair gets me every time. Pai, girl, why did you jump up like that when Sky came into the restaurant but I’ll forgive it because I like when Sky gives Pai forehead kisses. It’s not really cute that two best friends have apparently forgotten how to just have fun with each other and be without their bfs but whatever ig. I really like the way Sky and Pai play like first Sky ignoring Pai during foreplay and now Sky making Pai not touch or do anything and Pai being eager puppy in both situations lmfao Pai’s “Sometimes I’ve got a feeling that you’re mean.” exactly, so true i love dom sky with a mean streak and wish to see fort play a younger seme once again. A little marriage equality PSA. Anyway, as expected form the TharnType and Don’t Say No specials, nothing really happened but I had fun with the SkyPai NC scene dynamics. Also I don’t rmr when (maybe when Sky brought food to the office?) but in the special and also in the series, Pai would coo and hum at Sky sometimes and it’s seriously the best
tags: love in the air
Finally posted the KhaoFirst Content Index post lol months later
Dang, I hardly watched anything this month because aside from watching LITA for like 10 + 1 days and not watching anything for 4 days because of GMMTV, I’ve been meh about actually watching things and being engaged. So many days where I didn’t watch even an ep.
Currently watching Ghost Host, Ghost House as the last BL before I embark on my 2 week rewatch journey of stuff I enjoyed in 2022.

Paul Russell Unveils Debut EP 'Again Sometime?' with Introductory Track “Homecoming”
Platinum recording artist Paul Russell is set to make a significant mark with his highly anticipated debut EP, Again Sometime?, scheduled for release on August 30th via Arista Records. To build the excitement, Russell has unveiled the introductory track, “Homecoming,” which is available now. The release of this single, along with the EP, comes just in time for his upcoming appearance on Meghan Trainor’s Timeless Tour, which will be lighting up arenas across North America this fall. Pre-Save Again Sometime? Listen to “Homecoming” Timeless Tour Tickets Russell describes Again Sometime? as the first chapter in a series of stories he’s eager to share. This initial EP is a love story told in seven scenes, charting the emotional highs of a relationship’s early stages—from the yearning to be together to the joy of finding a connection and, ultimately, the declaration of long-term love. Russell hopes that these tracks will resonate deeply, becoming the soundtrack to listeners' own romantic journeys. Before diving into this love story, however, Russell wanted to set the stage with a proper introduction. He explains, “Homecoming is meant to be an entry point into who I am, what I’m about, and how I want to make people feel. Can God Save Texas? A Film God Like Richard Linklater Might Help
One of Texas film's greatest voices speaks on the "cruelty" of the criminal justice system in a new HBO docuseries.
Eva Raggio
Film director Richard Linklater takes a look at the inhumanity of Texas prisons. Mat Hayward/Getty Images for IMDbGod Save Texas, a trilogy of documentaries that debuted Feb. 27 on Max, examines some of the state’s deeply rooted issues. Based on the book God Save Texas: A Journey into the Soul of the Lone Star State by Lawrence Wright, the limited series was made in three parts, each by a different Texas director.
The first, “Hometown Prison,” was directed by Richard Linklater; the second, “The Price of Oil,” by Alex Stapleton; and the third, “La Frontera,” by Ilana Sosa.
Linklater has produced a widely varied body of work, including the highly stylized intellectual favorite Waking Life, the coming-of-age comedy and stoner cult classic Dazed and Confused and indie hits such as School of Rock and Bernie.
Cinephiles are perhaps most sincerely attached to his naturalist masterpieces on time, such as Boyhood — which followed its characters through scenes that took place over 12 years and earned Patricia Arquette a Best Supporting Actress Oscar— and the Before trilogy, in which he surprised viewers with out-of-the-blue sequels, completing a love story through near-voyeuristic glimpses of a couple (played by Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke) across cities and decades.
We spoke to Linklater via Zoom from Paris, where he's working on a film that’ll keep him away from his adopted hometown of Austin’s SXSW festival — an event he’s hardly missed in two decades. It's nighttime in the City of Lights, and he has Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris and much more on his mind.
For the Austin-based director, dealing with real subjects (including his own mother, Diane Margaret Linklater, a former professor and advocate for inmates) in God Save Texas prompted a different form of investment into his film’s characters.
“I'm always close to my characters, even if I've kind of created them, written them,” Linklater says. “But there's a real actor there. There's a real person you're working with. So in this case, you're working with real people, you're getting their own personal stories. On one hand, it didn't feel that different. I want to have an affection and an understanding for people, but it's personal: It's their lives, it's my life, it's my mom. It couldn't help but be personal. And you're asking others to tell very personal, sometimes painful stories in their own lives.
"So yeah, it's a big ask. But I think in a way, they trusted me because I was local and maybe they knew it was personal for me, but I feel close to every story. You're just trying to tell in the way you feel. So it felt right.”
Intercut with scenes from protests and stories of death row inmates, the film sees Linklater returning to Huntsville, a city 70 miles north of Houston that has the most active death row prison in the U.S. Viewers can practically smell the grease off the small-town diner menus as Linklater reflects with his subjects (many of them his old classmates), on how his hometown’s prison industry grew so wildly out of control — at least tenfold, from 10 prisons to 114 — in the past few decades, and uncovers the inhumanity of inmates' living conditions.
The auteur filmmaker is a proud Texan whose roots creep up in his work. And he maintains the love of home while decrying its systemic failures.
“You're catching me on the wrong night,” he says of his feelings for Texas. “We're executing an innocent guy tomorrow in Huntsville, Ivan Cantu, who's being put to death without … I mean, I can't believe it. I'm just stunned and really depressed, kind of a little desperate. We've been doing all we can. It's just like, gosh, the new normal. OK, we can kill innocent people. The next administration, maybe we can start … There's talk of camps. What's next? What can we put up with?
"So on the one hand, I love Texas and I love the people, but I really do feel a disconnect with the cruelty. ‘Cause I know Texans aren't cruel by and large, but I think our government policies are extremely cruel, and this executing an innocent person is about the top of the list. So I don't know. It's times like this you feel pretty bad.”
Linklater says he didn’t stumble into any major production roadblocks, but taking on a project that required such a deeply personal investment was a matter of facing his past to expose a haunting present.
“Everyone was so giving and open and kind; I think it was just me getting over just wanting to go there myself,” he says. “This film concerns my mom. It's a lot of my own past. I was asking people to tell their stories. So it was just deciding to do it, I think. And I mean, these issues about criminal justice and the death penalty, these have swum around in my head all these years.
“It was kind of cathartic and satisfying to find a home for some of these feelings. And my summation is fairly simple, really. I think after all of it, it's just like, yeah, the death penalty really does hurt a lot of … there's a lot of collateral damage to so many people and these state employees who have to be dragged through it. So to me, it's just kind of unnecessary trauma induced on innocent people.”
The film focuses on the trauma on both sides of the bars, from convicted inmates (many of whom proclaim their innocence) to state workers whose daily duties include strapping the bodies of death row prisoners onto and off the gurney. His opinions on the death penalty haven’t necessarily changed, but Linklater is more adamant than ever that the system predatorily exploits human error for profit, as we idly cede our rights to a state where punishment far too often exceeds the crime.
“My conclusion is don't do it,” he says. “I'm not a full-blown prison abolitionist, but I'm heading that way only in that — I don't mean let murderers out on the streets. I just think we could approach in a much more humane … the way we systematically create all this pain. We could systematically create more worthwhile treatment. I mean, face it, the prisons are full of people in on — it's mental health and drug addiction. If you treated those things, there goes 90% of the population right there.
“And then keep really the psychopaths, the murderers, serial sexual assaulters. I think we all have a vested interest in keeping certain people isolated from the general population, but people who made a bad mistake or something, I can't explain a tenfold increase. Crime is down everywhere. That's just the trend. Violent crime, everything's down. So why is our prison gone up 10 times in the last 40 years? I don't know. Things we have to ask ourselves. ... We should be investing in people, not just punishing them.”
For God Save Texas, he says, the trio of directors hardly compared pre-production notes beforehand.
“We were sort of siloed in our own projects,” Linklater says. “We knew what everybody was doing, but I guess I went first and set a certain tone, maybe with the personal. When we started I don't think we really had a full plan. I was like, ‘Larry [Wright, who also executive-produced the series], so are we gonna go to Huntsville?’ And we just felt our way through it.”
Before and After the Before Trilogy
With his cinematic oeuvre falling into an array of styles and genres, Linklater doesn't give much thought to his overarching body of work, preferring to hyper-focus on each film. He says he hasn’t even pondered the uniting thread woven across his projects.
“I don't know. I'm always telling kind of character-based work,” he says. “The concept is never bigger than the characters. They're pretty far away from superhero or anything like that.”
While his films are often of the deeply felt variety that persist on viewers’ minds long after the credits roll, he also adds: “Or laugh. I've made comedies, a little bit of everything. I don't know, just always trying to express myself in my own relation to the particular story or subject.”
Least of all does he consider his legacy, or his writing living on through the ages.
“Boy, I can tell you, I never think I'll live on for generations,” he says with a laugh. “I'm really focused on what I'm doing like right now, making this movie. So that's really all you can do.”
He concedes that he's mildly aware the Before movies have prompted a niche form of tourism, made up of fans who visit the first film’s Vienna locations, for example. But he hasn’t been to Vienna in about 15 years and assumes the interest has dwindled. (It hasn’t; visit the record shop where Jesse and Celine share a charged exchange of awkward missed glances in a listening booth, and see for yourself.) He laughs at our joke suggesting the Austrian capital should’ve given him a key to the city.
Nonetheless, as he finds himself in Paris, Linklater has learned that the bookstore featured in the second installment, Before Sunset, is still a bit of a treasure for fans following the Before map.
In Huntsville, he’s known as “Rick,” a former football player for the state’s highest-ranking team. As a young adult, he self-taught filmmaking on a Super 8 camera. Before long, Rick went on to receive Academy Award nominations, be named one of Time’s most influential people in the world in 2015, and become an advocate for filmmaking, and particularly Texas filmmaking, as co-founder of the Austin Film Society.
He's a successful independent filmmaker whose movies have made a crater-sized mark on pop culture, so one would assume Linklater finds himself in a privileged spot coveted by any artist looking to make an impact without the fine print double-dealings.
“Successful? I don't know. It doesn't feel that way all the time when you're working on a real low budget and you don't have enough time or money to make your movie,” he says. “But maybe that's it. I've just never cared about, I guess, the money or that result. I've really just focused on the next story I'm trying to tell and kind of avoided a certain kind of careerist trappings. Maybe staying in Texas probably was a good thing for my mental health.”
It hasn’t been hard, he says, to sustain that balance, keeping a sense of artistic autonomy while avoiding industry money grabs and other Hollywood pitfalls.
“You say no a lot," he says. "I think you define yourself a lot in this world — it sounds corny or maybe you heard it: It's like you kind of define yourself by what you don't do. Just because you have opportunities doesn't mean you have to do it. So the things I've turned down, the things I've not wanted to do that I could have, kind of defined you. It's like, yeah, no, I'm really focused over here. I know that's more money and that [I’ll] get to work with some big star, but I don't really want to do that. I want to tell [my stories]. So just follow your own muse.”
During the pandemic, his kids became an elite audience in a Linklater-selected, at-home film festival. He was glad they’d grown past the animated children’s movie days (“I could not wait to get out of kid movies. We did that pretty quick. I'm a filmmaker, I was showing them stuff, but yeah, I could not wait until they were starting to ask me more about movies”) and into more sophisticated cinematic territory.
“Say what you will, the pandemic was terrible, but we watched a movie every night,” he says. “These teenagers [would ask], ‘What movie are you going to watch now? Let's do the French New Wave, or let's watch films from Brazil.’ It was like my own little one-year curation, my own little film society in the family.”
For all the brilliant dialogue that mark his own films, the uniting thread he never thinks about, Linklater isn’t surprised that the most quoted line from his movies was famously ad-libbed by Matthew McConaughey in Dazed and Confused.
“He wasn't even scheduled to work that night,” he says of his fellow Texan. “We worked up that scene and he just threw in that 'All right, all right, all right’ — he said that as he was driving in, and I thought it was really funny."
Linklater remembers that "within a day or two after that," the expression became a popular saying among the film crew.
"I noticed a key grip say, ‘OK, we're laying some dolly track over there. Let's go do that. And [he] goes, ‘All right, all right, all right, all right.' He was already repeating it," Linklater says. " And on one hand, I'm not surprised. I mean, of course you're surprised when you see a T-shirt with it or something like that, that's crazy.
“Matthew … he's earned it, I guess.”

In “Hometown Prison,” Richard Linklater Looks at Life on Both Sides of the Wall
Richard Brody
8–11 minutes
With little fanfare, a complex and far-reaching personal documentary by Richard Linklater, “Hometown Prison,” dropped last week on the streaming service Max. It’s one of a trio of excellent films made under the rubric “God Save Texas,” based on the book by Lawrence Wright, of this publication—all of which consider the state’s history and politics in the light of the filmmakers’ own lives and families. The second film, “The Price of Oil,” directed by the seventh-generation Texan Alex Stapleton, traces the economic racism on which the state’s oil industry was built, as manifested in its disproportionate pollution of predominantly Black neighborhoods, including her family’s own. The third, “La Frontera,” by Iliana Sosa, who was born in El Paso to a family of Mexican descent, considers the historical unity of that city with its Mexican neighbor, Ciudad Juárez, and the enduring burdens imposed on Mexican Americans by white supremacy and the resulting militarized border. It takes nothing away from these latter films—exemplary blends of journalistic investigation, historical analysis, and intimate experience—to call particular attention to the power and the aesthetic range of Linklater’s documentary, which combines a narrow focus on a single institution with a conjoined exploration of the director’s life and his œuvre.
“Hometown Prison” is about Huntsville, Texas, where Linklater lived from 1970 (the year he turned ten) to 1981. He has previously explored his boyhood experiences there in such films as “Dazed and Confused,” “Everybody Wants Some!!,” and, of course, “Boyhood.” However, “Hometown Prison” concentrates on one oppressive peculiarity of the town: there’s a large prison in the middle of it, in plain view of much of daily life there, and a vast network of prisons spread throughout the town and its vicinity. The prison system is the town’s main employer. Texas, as Linklater relates, has the most incarcerated people of any state; it also executes more people than any other state, and those executions take place in Huntsville. Prisons, in other words, are a ubiquitous presence in Huntsville’s landscape, and yet, Linklater says, “At some point, you don’t really even see it.” In “Hometown Prison,” he attempts to see—and to give voice to silences on the subject, in his life and his work, that he has until now not managed to break.
It wasn’t for lack of trying. Though Linklater credits Wright (one of the filmmaker’s longtime friends, who appears on camera, as he does in the other two films in the series) with the suggestion to make “Hometown Prison,” the work is anchored in two incomplete projects of Linklater’s. The first, a drama that he’d hoped to make in 2002, was about two high-school football players who, a year after graduation, end up on opposite sides of the prison walls. The second was to have been made from documentary footage that he shot in 2003, of protests outside those walls, when an inmate named Delma Banks, Jr., was about to be executed despite abundant evidence of his innocence. Linklater couldn’t find funding for the drama and never did anything with the footage—plentiful amounts of which appear in “Hometown Prison.”
Here, Linklater breaks silence in the most direct and literal way—by speaking. He delivers a copious and confessional voice-over, complete with reminiscences, observations distilled from research, and candid assertions (as when he declares capital punishment “barbaric”). He also appears on camera, in conversation with Huntsville residents whose lives intersect with his and with the town’s carceral economy. Linklater’s recollections of his late mother, Diane (included by way of a talk with one of her friends), involve her activism on behalf of incarcerated people released into town with no support. One of the most revealing exchanges is with Elroy Thomas, a manager at a Huntsville bus depot, who estimates that, in his thirty years on the job, he has sold one-way tickets out of town to hundreds of thousands of newly released prisoners—and adds that, in the process, he has become acutely sensitive to their frame of mind and the extent of the preparedness to return to private life. It’s shocking to see a line of former inmates walking casually away from prison with no clear destination down the closed-off vista of a leafy street. “They don’t offer no rehabilitation,” one of them comments. “If you’re trying to get right, you need to do it on your own.”
Among the ex-prisoners with whom Linklater speaks is Dale Enderlin, one of his former baseball teammates from Huntsville’s Sam Houston State University, where Linklater’s mother taught. (The team was later the subject of “Everybody Wants Some!!”) Enderlin spent thirty-nine months in prison for white-collar crimes, and his main observation from his time there is how routinely young, nonwhite people are railroaded into confessions for crimes that they didn’t commit. A civil-rights lawyer, Bill Habern, who arrived in town as a public defender in the nineteen-seventies, dated Linklater’s mother, and remained a family friend, says, “I came to Huntsville and I thought I’d landed in Mississippi twenty years before.” He shows Linklater bullet holes in his home, estimating that there are twelve to fifteen. Ed Owens, the first Black warden of a Huntsville prison, says that he experienced far more racism owing to his work inside the walls than to anything in ordinary town life; during protests involving one execution, the Ku Klux Klan demonstrated outside his house.
A prison in Huntsville, Texas.
The attitudes of many Sam Houston students interviewed in the documentary belie the centrality of prison to life in Huntsville. Despite being on a campus with clear views of uniformed prison guards, inmates being released, and demonstrations against capital punishment, they claim not to pay much attention to the facility’s proximity. “I’ve never given too much thought to it, until you hear the siren go off,” one student says. Another notes, “It seems that everyone’s aware of it, but no one wants to talk about it”; a third adds, “I’ve never heard no professor talk about it.” Linklater affirms that the “disconnect” is “kind of a Huntsville tradition.” One of his former high-school football teammates says that, even now, the prison “doesn’t even come to my consciousness.”
Of course, there are some in Huntsville for whom the prison system looms large. Linklater interviews many of them: the formerly incarcerated, and family members of the incarcerated; a local historian and activist who seeks to change the town’s civic life and is well aware of being despised for it; former corrections officials, whose firsthand experiences witnessing or even participating in executions has caused them to reject the practice; and a current one who finds the rigors of the carceral system hard to bear. Moreover, Linklater recalls one of his stepfathers, a prison guard (whom he dramatized in “Boyhood”) whom the stresses of the prison system psychologically warped and darkened.
Just a few minutes into “Hometown Prison,” there’s a shot of a restaurant across the road from a barbed-wire-fenced prison unit, which has a cheerful sign announcing “Sunday: Kids Eat Free.” I was reminded of another movie in current release, Jonathan Glazer’s historical drama “The Zone of Interest,” which is set outside the walls of Auschwitz, in a house where the camp’s commandant, Rudolf Höss; his wife, Hedwig; and their three young children live, apparently pretending, to the fullest of their capacities, that their lives are normal. Unlike Glazer, Linklater doesn’t merely observe Huntsville residents’ lives alongside prison but also hears from them. He displays deep and sincere curiosity about what people involved in a cruel system—or even merely living in view of one—say, think, and feel. He probes the psychology of their efforts to keep prison from their minds and also considers the ideologies behind the prevalence of incarceration and the death penalty in Texas—including racism, class-based inequity, an enduring myth of frontier justice, brazen demagogy, and a form of Christian fundamentalism that emphasizes strictness rather than mercy—as well as the practical policies that sustain the carceral system there, including the economic motives of contracts for businesses and employment for residents.
“Hometown Prison,” with its free and hybrid form, empathetically and indignantly brings suppressed agonies to light. It does more, too. Linklater looks deeply at the town’s self-gaslighting, at how it’s maintained and who maintains it, and to what ends. The film is a fervent and trenchant work of political psychology, living history, investigative journalism, and anguished confession.
With humor and the biting insight of a native, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author Lawrence explores the history, culture, and politics of Texas, while holding the stereotypes up for rigorous scrutiny.
God Save Texas (Penguin, 2018) is a journey through the most controversial state in America. It is a red state in the heart of Trumpland that hasn’t elected a Democrat to a statewide office in more than twenty years; but it is also a state in which minorities already form a majority (including the largest number of Muslims). The cities are blue and among the most diverse in the nation. Oil is still king but Texas now leads California in technology exports. The Texas economic model of low taxes and minimal regulation has produced extraordinary growth but also striking income disparities. Texas looks a lot like the America that Donald Trump wants to create. And Wright’s profound portrait of the state not only reflects our country back as it is, but as it was and as it might be.
Lawrence Wright is a staff writer for The New Yorker and the author of nine previous books of nonfiction, including In the New World, Remembering Satan, The Looming Tower, Going Clear, Thirteen Days in September, and The Terror Years, and one novel, God’s Favorite. His books have received many prizes and honors, including a Pulitzer Prize for The Looming Tower. He is also a playwright and screenwriter. He is a longtime resident of Austin.

Forget touching grass, go kiss somebody.
Long rant ahead, you’ve been warned 😬
For a community that relies so much on reading peoples’ body language and tells, the majority of BTS shippers seem to have a concerning lack of understanding of how actual humans living a life work.
I swear. Y’all will sit and analyze the hell out of three seconds worth of slowed-down content, but ignore any and all context, extraneous factors (aka concerns that don’t have anything to do with romance and can make someone appear upset, closed off, or just plain tired) and everything that happens after those all-important three seconds.
Looking at you, anons who I’ve seen all pressed over the fact that in the We Photobook Sketch, Jimin was initiating most of the Jikook moments. Some of y’all are insecure jikookers, some are from another ship trying to have a gotcha moment, and some are probably just new to things, but… keep in mind:
1. Content isn’t always released in chronological order.
Yes, this photoshoot behind the scenes is the most recent content released, but that doesn’t mean it’s the most recent thing that happened. @kanmom51 had a great post about this whole photoshoot, and took a guess that it happened around Sep 2021. I think that’s probably right, based on haircuts/colors and piercings. Which would mean this “distance” between JK and JM that you all think you picked up on took place BEFORE: JK getting his attendance stamps in JM’s room all day every day in late 2021, the infamous and adorable “should I come see you?” birthday vlive, and the ass-grabbing, forehead-touching, finger heart-giving, bridal-carrying Jikookery Foolishness Fest that was PTD Las Vegas.
And just because late 2021 and 2022 was a gold mine, and because I know y’all try to dismiss concert behavior as fake fanservice, it was also before: “I’ll keep holding Jiminie ✋😛🤚”, “happy birthday BRO,” the attentive giddy love sesh that was aerial yoga, and this flirty ass conversation:
So… try to orient content on the timeline before making judgments based on it. It will save you a lot of anxiety.
2. Learn the difference between focus and coldness.
Not always, but in general, JK seems to (I’m gonna use an ADHD term because I have it and I strongly suspect he does too but obviously I don’t know for sure don’t come at me) hyperfocus on things, particularly when it’s something like a work photoshoot where there are likely a lot of staff around and there’s a job to get done. Yes, he can goof off at work with the best of them, but for stuff like this (which had a stricter, more professional vibe than say, filming a Run BTS ep), he’s almost always the more reserved one, while Jimin seems to have an easier time shifting between his silly, flirty side and his fierce professional model side. The man can turn it off and on like a light switch, while JK seems to have a harder time shifting his attention and coming in and out of “work mode” (also an ADHD thing, just saying). So yeah, we see JM making eyes at JK in between shots, we see him turning toward JK while JK keeps his gaze on the camera. To me, this does not read as JK being disinterested in JM. It reads as “I have a job to do and I need to stay in the zone or I’ll look dumb as hell in these photos and I’m too pretty for that.” Just my take 🤷♀️ Which brings me to…
3. Context is everything.
My spouse and I have been together for nearly 10 years. We still have moments where we are over-the-moon into each other, and we also have moments where work takes priority, where we aren’t as attentive as we should be, where one of us wants attention and the other is focusing on something else (not saying that’s necessarily what was going on during the photoshoot, but it’s possible and a much more reasonable conclusion than JK suddenly falling out of love and JM not noticing). If someone were to make a short video recording us on any given day, our interactions might vary. We might look super close; we might look a little distant. Because real humans in real relationships have normal fluctuations like that. If assorted, curated clips from a 7 minute video (think about that — that shoot probably lasted 4-5 hours at least, and they showed us 7 minutes) are your basis for deciding whether a couple is broken up or still together, you’re basing a whole lot on very little. Which is why I say…
Go Kiss Somebody
Like, not without their permission, but you know what I mean. Go experience falling in love, go connect with someone else and see how every little facial twitch you or they make is not evidence of the deterioration of your whole relationship. When shippers try to make a ship sink or sail based on the micro-expressions on someone’s face during a zoomed-in, slow-mo, three second clip, they reveal that most likely, they’ve only ever experienced romantic relationships in the context of novels, fanfic, tv shows and movies. In other words — stories. Because in a love story, every little detail truly IS about the romantic plot line, otherwise the editors would have cut that superfluous stuff out, because they’ve got a story to tell. But real relationships aren’t like that. Real relationships aren’t streamlined love stories with rising action and a climax and a resolution; they’re real people living meandering lives that happen to include immense love. And that’s the difference. Shit, that’s a whole other post…
