You ever notice how the people of Farrix use music? They have their anvil bell that gets ritually ring regularly. They notify each other of trouble by ringing chimes, banging and jangling pipes and they seem to be able to convey pretty specific messages through the sound. They rallied behind their marching band for fucks sake. Like lots of oppressed peoples they figured a system to covertly communicate, celebrate, support each other. Sound waves beneath the surface.
