it's been a little time since The Event took place, but oh do I already miss pomu rainpuff, world's strongest virtual fairy from nijisanji en first wave lazulight!

she was never a kamioshi, but I always loved her passion for her otaku interests. never again will I find another Vtuber as passionate as her about maids, idols and metal gear. her pomufication spread far and wide, and her kahen sanren mix really took fans around the world by storm, exposing people like me, who weren't into j-pop idol culture, to wotagei and chants.

what do I even say about metal gear, except that her boundless enthusiasm about the franchise actually made me consider buying the games (I didn't buy them in the end because all I have is a potato laptop😭). such is the power of a 7 cm fairy!! she always made her streams fun as hell, and brought unpredictability to many collab streams as well. <3<3<3

excuse me for hiding a long emotional note here, ugly twt has a character limit after all. anyway, i don't think pomu will read this i'll be really embarrassed if she does but i just wanted to write about it a lil bit bc if you know me, i don't really talk about being a quiet pomudachi all that much.

pomu's one of the first big corpo vtubers i ever watched, and one of the first from nijien that i watched. she's definitely been in my top 3 in the last year and a half-ish that i've fallen down the rabbit hole. although i didn't chat in her streams all that often and i generally don't interact with a lot of other niji fans, i definitely enjoyed listening her laugh and smile with everyone, watching her silly antics on streams, vods and clips, and being amazed by the big projects she worked towards. when i saw her graduation announcement moments after i woke up, i was devastated. but i know she'll move on to bigger and brighter things for herself, and really, knowing she will find her own way to shine once again is enough for me. i don't think there'll ever be another pomu rainpuff, who has been so inspiring, silly in the best way, ambitious and just a joy to watch. thank you pomu. i really do wish you the best wherever you go, and i hope maybe another day we'll see you again. but for now...

I want to take this time to thank her. THANK YOU POMU FOR EVERYTHING!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!!! I ALWAYS HAD FUN WATCHING YOU!!! (*´▽`*)

I tried writing this twice elsewhere but it didn’t save both times much to my dismay so I’m doing it here because it’ll save and I can add pictures.

All my sappy rambling below the cut!

I didn’t watch Pomu as much, in all honesty. Just like I don’t watch many of the vtubers I like since I don’t have time to watch streams in general. Woes of being a uni student.

But from the ones I did catch, and the clips I’ve watched, Pomu never failed to make me laugh or smile. Not once.

My favourite clip is where Pomu is reacting to a Nintendo Direct with Elira and they laugh their butts off at the casting for the Mario Movie. I’ll never forget Pomu going “CHRIS PRATT?????” and then subsequently laughing insanely alongside Elira.

I’ll also never forget when she said that the Mario Movie will be good upon seeing Jack Black lol

Another one of my favourites is where Selen is totally drunk and is playing Minecraft. Pomu is in the server and when Selen tells her that she’s stuck in Seffyna’s wool shearing farm thing machine, she just straight up leaves LMAO

When Selen says she'll have to kill the sheep she's stuck with, Pomu comes back going all NO NO. Pomu gets stuck in an attempt to help Selen, Selen kills the sheep anyway and then they break the farm in an attempt to get out and then they try to fix it.

They fix it and then Seffyna comes in and Selen snitches when Pomu ditched LOL

I was watching Pomu’s Totsumachi, and at the end of it she mentioned that she wanted to wipe ass at Pokémon Black since she was doing a challenge where she would beat the game with six Chandelure.

I wrote YESSSSSSSSSSS into the chat, and pretty much after I did, Pomu said “YESSSSSSSSSSSSS”! It happened twice! It felt so cool, you know?

I’m not sure if it was my comment exactly but I’m going to pretend it was. Delulu is the Solulu, my friends.

Speaking of the Totsumachi, I was there for when Pomu talked to Vivi! I honestly didn't know too much about Vivi, I saw a few clips here and there but I really like her now after this!

They talked about Gaia Online at the very end, and Pomu mentioned how she wanted to try and log back into her old account. I heard of Gaia Online but I never played it. I played Moshi Monsters, Poptropica and Secret Builders as a kid. I'm old, I know lol

My interest was piqued and I made myself a Gaia Online account. It’s so early 2000’s, I love it. Reminds me of the old internet, it was much more happier and fun.

I actually watched the entirety of the stream where she played Pokémon Black, and I’m so glad I was able to be there to see her complete the challenge! She beat the Elite 4, N and Ghetsis with six Chandelure! It was so entertaining and honestly nerve wracking to watch!

The RNG at one point was so bad, Stone Edge never missed and Flame Body never hit lol

It was a lot of fun.

As you can see, I sent Pomu a super chat! I have this tradition where I send one to those who are graduating as a final goodbye and to show my support for one last time.

I did it with Pikamee, Mysta, Mika and now…Pomu. The list keeps growing...

I also became a member! I wasn’t going to initially, but I wanted to show my support and use emotes for the first and last time. I joined the lowest tier at first, but decided I wanted the Member Wallpapers, so I upgraded.

I managed to get them all, which I’m really happy I did! Pomu’s membership got paused after her graduation so there’s no way to access any of the perks anymore.

For Pomu's graduation stream, I caught all of the Crab Game with Niji EN and the final part. One of the reasons I sent the super chat in the Pokemon Black stream was because I wasn't sure if I would be able to catch the graduation stream at all.

It started at 3:30am for me and I had no idea how long it would go for. I'm a bit surprised it went for 10 hours, but I'm glad it did because I was able to watch a bit of it at the very end!

I think it's better I sent the super chat in the Pokémon Black stream, since I love Pokémon and Pomu! It feels more special to me.

I think graduations only prove how fast time flies and how one day, the people I like to watch will go too. I know its bound to happen and it is a part of life but still...it hurts to see those who you like to watch go.

I remember waking up one morning and seeing the notice of Pomu graduating, I went "WHATTTTTT??? POMU???? NOOOOOOOOO". I really didn't think she would graduate, but it was right there. People were sad, and I didn't know how to feel.

I felt like I didn't watch Pomu enough or support her enough as I could have. I still feel the same way. I did show my support at the very end, but it shouldn't take a graduation. I should have showed my support from the start, or watched her more. You never know what you'll miss until its gone, I suppose.

But I can't change the past. I'm happy I was able to watch her at the very end, and that's what matters! I'm glad I could say goodbye, watch a full stream from her and have fun until the very end!

Once again, thank you Pomu! I wish you all the best in life! We're all Pomu at the very end, aren't we?

I'm going to take the PP Energy Pomu gave us and be more confident this year! I won't let you down, Pomu! I'm going to work hard to be the best person I can be.

chapter 3 (I'm bad at giving chapter names-)

Wait a second… Pomu knows Eveland-Senpai? And she's calling him by his first name too? Are they friends?

You turned your head towards Pomus face..

''You know him, Pomu?''

''Of course I know him, we're friends since middle school.''

You paused.

''Since middle school? But I've never seen you guys talking with eachother?''

Pomu narrowed her eyes. ''Of course you've seen him, but you mustn't had paid any attention to him. I've greeted him several times in the corridor.''

''Oh… oops'' You scratched your back head

"Anyways, does everything else went okay?"

"Oh yeah, everyone is really nice actually!"

You told Pomu about all the other stuff that had happened.

One month has passed now since you joined the writing club. when the club has had officially ended for everyone, you always stayed there for a bit longer, to share your works with Ike. Ike was always willing to give you tips and tricks to improve your writings. He always sounded so passionate about writing. Everytime Ike started talking about something he is passionate about, you could see his eyes light up and hearing his voice sounding full of enthusiasm.

"See, and if you do that, it will give your texts more constructure."

"Ahh, I get it! Thank you Eveland-senpai for always helping me out and stuff."

You were just seeing Ikes corner of his mouth rising up.

"Of course, I love to help and I want to make sure that everyone is having the best time that they can."

Ike was always very considerate, not only towards you, but also to those around you.

"I just felt a bit overwhelmed."

You were walking around the corridor, seeing Ike speaking with a familiar guy.

“Hmm? Wait isn't that the guy who I bumped into on my first day at the writing club and is that… Eveland-senpai?!”

"I'm sorry for being so quiet earlier, it meant a lot that you were speaking up for me."

Ike just shook his head in disagreement.

"I really understand how it feels not to be heard, and people just talking over you. I just really wanted to make you feel that you're not alone and be heard."

You didn't wanted to eavesdrop, but you just couldn't ignore what you saw.

"Thanks man…"

You were seeing tears falling down on this mysterious guys cheeks, while both of them hugged eachother in a warm embrace. Your lips formed into a little smile as you went off, not knowing what happened next. You just wanted them to have their own little moment and be alone.

Ike has always been like that, wanting to make sure everyone is having a good time, even if it meant that he's not feeling well. Putting others feelings before his own ones. A so called “people pleaser” in this generation.

"Earth to Y/N? Hey!"

"Hm? Oh, Sorry"

"Daydreaming, huh?"

You're letting out a nervous chuckle.

"I'm Sorry Eveland-senpai."

"There's no need to apologize for, is maybe something bothering you lately? If you ever need someone to talk to, then you can always count on me. I'm always willing to listen.”

Your eyes were locked with Ike’s, his voice sounded concerning, you could even see his forehead looking a bit puckered.

"I'm fine, no worries! Thank you for worrying about me."

You turned your gape off and smiled.

"There is no need to thank me, really."

All of a sudden, both of you just heard a little knock on the door.

Who could that be? The club has had officially ended, there shouldn't be anyone coming at this time.

With curious eyes, you and Ike just stared at the door opening itself, revealing a familiar looking person behind it.

"Oh, I'm sorry, am I bothering you?"

It was Pomu, a dear friend of the both of you.

Ike's lips escaped a warm smile after seeing Pomu entering the library.

"Hey Pomu, great to see you! And not at all, we wanted to call it a day for now. Anyways, what brings you up here?"

"I actually was quite worried about Y/N since they neither replied to my messages, nor my calls. And we actually wanted to go shopping with friends after the club activities."

You suddenly dropped your pen and started to blink in disbelief.

"Is it already this late?? I'm so so sorry!"

You clapped your hands together, to show forgiveness. After that, you stood up as fast as you could and went to Pomu.

"Thank you for today, Eveland-senpai!  And sorry for the circumstances."

"Nonsense, don't worry about it and I hope you guys are having a fun time together!"

You and Pomu finally arrived now at your meeting spot to meet up with your friends Finana and Elira. 

Elira raised up her voice a little bit in excitement as she saw both of you approaching them.

 "Pomu, Y/N nice to see you guys!"

"Nice to see you guys too! Oh, and sorry for being a bit late…" you replied while scratching the back of your head for a bit.

''Don't worry about it, we were also a bit late to be honest, but hey what do you guys think of getting some coffee or in general some beverage? How does that sound?''

All of you were agreeing to Eliras suggestion and enjoyed their time in a nice comfy café that Elira picked out. Everyone had a great time, you guys were chit chatting, laughing and just had a fun time with eachother.

After leaving the café, you all decided to go for a little shopping tour through the city. You were glancing at the windows from various shops, but as all of a sudden you stopped at one specific item at a window that had caught your eye. 

Finana stopped as she turned her head around, sensing that you're not beside her anymore.

“Y/N, is everything okay?”

You turned your head back towards Finana’s direction, as soon as you heard her voice.

“Oh, yeah, don't worry!” You quickly went to Finana and caught up with Elira and Pomu again to continue the shopping tour.

The next day arrived as you were sitting in the writing club again, as all of a sudden Ike wanted to discuss something.

"So everyone, I have an announcement to make."

Everyone was really surprised by it, wondering what this announcement could be.

“What do you guys think about going to the cinema as a club activity? The book 'My Belongings' is getting a real life adaption! I don't know if you all read it, but I thought it would be fun to go as a club! Oh, and it’s on my credit card account by the way!" Ike chuckled slightly.

Everyone was very excited to hear about the suggestion, that Ike made.

"Oh, 'My Belongings' ? I love that book, it's such a well written horror book! Reimu said.

"I dont know that book, but it sounds really fun!" Aia replied.

Everyone agreed and was excited to watch the movie together, even those who haven't read the book. So do you.

"It’s settled then!"

Ike clapped his hands together.

"Okay! Does everyone have time on Saturday evening next week?"

Ike was planning all the things for the movie next week. You were really looking forward to it and of course told Pomu of it.

"A movie, and then out of Ike-kuns wallet? That sounds fun! I hope you're having a great time there!"

"Thank you Pomu! I haven’t read it, but I'm really excited to watch it with everyone! But this would be the first time seeing them in casual looks, and not in school uniforms, that is kinda new, but I'm really curious how everyone's gonna look like."

"Oh, I get that! I know that Ike-kun has a really nice taste of fashion."

"Oh?" You tilted your head a bit to the side.

"Well, you will witness it next week." Pomu let out a little chuckle.

The day of the club activity meeting has arrived, you were really early because you didn't want to come as late as usual, but it seems like you weren't the first one who showed up.

Your eyes are attached to someone with a big long white coat, yellow chains, who's attached to the glasses, and brown hair where the tips are fading into a blue-ish tone. His eyelashes were pretty long and his eyes wandered off to the small tiny book he's holding in his hand, right in front of you.

Is that… Eveland-senpai? Pomu wasn’t lying at all when she said that he has a great fashion style..

"Uhm, hey Eveland-senpai!"

Ikes gaze wandered off of his book and his eyes were directed at yours. As soon as he saw you, a little smile formed on his lips.

"Hello Y/N-san, nice to see you."

"Nice to see you too! Uh, Eveland-senpai." You paused before continuing speaking.

"Your fashion style is amazing, it’s really unique which I very like! The scarf and the coat and also the heels! Do you wear them often?"

Ike’s corner of the mouth turned upwards again. It was a sincere and grateful  smile.

"Thank you. It makes me really happy to hear you think so. To answer your question, I wear them pretty often in my free time. Oh and also, your outfit looks very charming too, I like the colors you chose, it matches your eye color perfectly. Oh and also.''

Ike pointed with his finger on your bag.

''That pin that you have on your bag is new, right? It looks really cute.''

The pin on your bag was a white little floof ball with a small blue feather attached to their head.

You slowly placed your hand on your chest and returned Ike's smile with equal sincerity.

''Thank you, and yes it-''

"Hey!"

 Unexpectedly, you hear voices approaching you, which belonged to the other people from the writing club.

"I'm really excited for the movie, I can't wait!" Reimu said with a broad grin.

You turned your head around, and were seeing how pretty everyone was. All of them had a unique style, which represented their own personality.

“Great, everyone's here now! let's go in and buy some snacks and get the tickets now, shall we?”

Ike and everyone else were heading towards the entrance, getting their tickets and popcorn.

''Dude, popcorn these days got so expensive.'' Ike let out a depressing sigh while holding the popcorn in his hands that he bought for everyone.

''Well, your fault Eveland, you said it goes on your wallet.'' Reimu laughed insidious.

''Hey! And how many times have I told you that you can call me Ike?''

''I just like your last name!''

Ike just let out another sigh, while everyone else started laughing.

''Wait guys, what about the seat order? Doesn't the movie start soon?'' Aia tilted her head a little to the side at the same time as asking.

''Oh, right.''

Ike pulled out the tickets right out of his pockets.

"Hm, let's see…  Fulgur is right on the left side. Besides him sits Aia, after Aia sits Reimu, then Y/N and last but not least, me, Alright!"

Everyone headed towards the cinema hall and was looking for their seat.

Fulgurs mouth escaped a happy sigh after taking a seat. "I'm really curious how the movie will be since the book was already really well written."

"Right?!?!" Reimu spoke up as soon as she heard Fulgur talking about the book.

All the lights turned off now and the movie finally began.

“Ahh~ I'm really excited for the movie, you too L/N-san? Ike turned his head torwards your face”

“Mhm!” you nodded.

The movie was really catchy, it had it's own style and they weren't joking when they said there was a lot of gore in it. You were hoping that no jumpscares appear, since you're not very fond of those kind of things, yet…

"WHAAAA!"

You started flinching and screaming after the first jumpscare appeared.

Ike was really concerned because of your scream, and turned his head towards yours with his lips turned downwards.

"Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, no worries I just really dislike jumpscares, they're not really my cup of tea."

"I'm not very fond of them either, but it's okay, it's gone now." Ike spoke in a calm and soothing voice to help you calm down.

Swiftly, another jumpscare appeared and you heard a loud shriek right out of Ike's mouth.

"WHAAAA"

"Hm? who was the one who said everything's okay?!"

"I ACTUALLY DON' T SCREAM AT JUMPSCARES BUT THAT WAS SOMETHING ELSE"

''AND YOU WANTED TO COMFORT ME EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE A COMPLETE MESS WITH JUMPSCARES?''

''I USUALLY DON'T GET SCARED THAT BAD''

''YOU'RE A LIAR!''

It got silent for a bit, as both of you just glanced at eachother and started laughing together. You leaned yourself into the seat again. Thanks to Ike you could calm yourself again, but it didn't take long until you freaked out once again. 

After another jumpscare appeared, Ike's gaze wandered off to you again. He noticed that your hands were shaking a bit after the jumpscare.

"Hey, L/N-san, are you okay? 

You just nodded and avoided eye contact while your face is looking pale with trembling features.

Ike gathered his thoughts for a moment before speaking up again.

"Do you… might want to come a little bit closer and take my hand? It could be a bit relieving to do that. I've read the book so sometimes I could tell whenever another jumpscare appears, and let you know. It's okay."

"Huh?"

You were silent for a second.  

Maybe not, it-

As you wanted to respond to Ike's question, a  scream came out right from the movie, which let out a shiver run down your spine.

Ike just smiled warmly while slowly reaching his hand out to you, inviting your hand to connect with his.

You hesitated for a second, but came closer with your hand to Ike's. Gliding down your fingers onto his palm, Intertwining eachothers hands. You felt his fingertips connecting with yours, and the warmth of his hands on top of yours. The touch of his soft skin sends a warm feeling through your body. It felt so warm, so comfortable. Not wanting his hand to let go, by any moment. You were just treasuring the moment you had with Ike.

Ike's face was a bit covered with a shade of pink, like the cherry blossom trees that are blossoming outside and so do you.

As soon as another jumpscare appeared, Ike started to gently caress your hand. Gliding down with his thumb along your fingers, making sure there's nothing to be scared of.

"Its okay, I'm here. If you're scared, then feel free to squeeze my hand as much as you like."

With every touch of Ike, you started to feel a kind of warmness inside of your body.

You didn’t know why you’re feeling this way, but you knew one thing for sure: You wanted to stay like this as long as possible.

During the movie you and Ike exchanged eachothers opinions about the movie. It was a really great time and it was so much fun as well.

I'm so glad that I got the chance to sit next to Eveland-senpai. It's so much fun..

As Reimu turned her head a bit to the side, a small smile appeared on her lips.

"Awww"

Selen turned her head towards Reimus direction. "What the… Reimu, I knew that you really like horror movies, but that you find them cute is a tad too much…"

"No, just look at them!"

Reimu pointed her index finger towards you and Ike.

"Aww, okay now I get you."

After the film ended, everyone went outside and exchanged eachothers opinions about the movie.

''The movie was… something else.“ Selen said while looking dead inside.

Fulgur just giggled. ''You're not really good with horror, are you?''

A sly smirk appeared on Reimus face after she tilted her head to Ike and your direction. ''Well, I know someone else who is not really good with horror.''

Ike snapped after realizing that he was caught and cleared his throat. 

''Uhm, anyways let us discuss how the movie was another time in the writing club, we will have a more quieter environment there. Thank you everyone for sharing the experience with me,see you all on monday!

"Eveland, wait!"

Reimu made her way quickly to Ike as she whispered something into his ear. Ike remained speechless for a bit while his face turned into a deep red shade.

"GODDAMMIT, REIMU CEASE THIS!!"

Reimus lips formed into a sly smirk as she went off while giggling to herself.

"Dang it. I shouldn't think about it too much." Ike sighed while shaking his head.

''Eveland-Senpai!''

''Hm?''

ike turned his head around, seeing you standing right in front of him.

''Thank you for being so kind earlier, you know, letting me hold your hand and stuff.''

You started bowing to show your gratitude to Ike.

After seeing you bowing, Ike's mouth escaped a little chuckle.

''It's not a big deal, I just wanted to make sure you're okay.

Ike truly is a considerate person, he is always so kind towards other people and is always making sure that everyone is feeling well.

''You're really kind.'' you said with a more quiet voice

''…Hm?''

You started to wave your hands.

''Nothing, see you on monday, Eveland-senpai!''

You were seated in your office, gazing out the window at the bustling scene below. People filled the area and engaged in conversations, while children played near the playground. Suddenly, a knock interrupted your thoughts.

"Come in!" you called out.

"Morning, (Name)! How are you?" your secretary, Pomu, entered the room, holding a cup of coffee.

"Not bad, how about you, Pomu?" you inquired, returning the greeting.

Approaching your side with a smile, she replied, "I'm great! Thanks for asking!"

Returning her smile, you paused for a moment before asking, "Have you completed the tasks I assigned to you?"

"Yep! Everything is taken care of! You don't need to worry," she assured.

"I knew I could trust you, Pomu!" you exclaimed, rising from your seat and planting a small peck on her cheek.

Pomu froze, her eyes widening in shock. A blush crept up her face, turning it a shade of red. She turned away, facing you once more, observing your focused expression as you continued to review your paperwork.

She let out a sigh. 'Why are you so oblivious!' she exclaimed silently in her mind.

Unaware of Pomu's reaction, you remained engrossed in your work, completely oblivious. Pomu smiled and chuckled to herself, perhaps this wasn’t as bad as she thought.

"Why are you laughing?" you inquired, curious about her amusement.

"It's nothing," Pomu replied, still smiling.

It has now been over a week since yuu and ayumu added a friend to their group. So far two of the girls had been enjoying things; for one though this wasn't a good time. As ayumu was feeling the familiar stings of jealousy eat at her. She had really tried to accept shizuku; but with the way her mind worked she just couldn't. We now see the trio at school; with a silent pomu sitting across from the chatty girls at the lunch table. "We should rent some movies". "Yeah and order some pizza". Yuu then looked at her old friend and smiled. "What about you ayumu, what do you wanna do". "Huh, oh sorry...what are we doing again", the girl said seemingly coming out of a daze. "Heh, earth to ayumu... we're planning a sleepover remember". "Oh right...it doesn't really matter", the girl sighed. "Yes it does, you could at least pick a movie". "After all, shizuku's picks we're a bit...dated", yuu teased. "Hey, don't pick on me". "Old movies have way more soul", the actress defended. "Old movies are fine", ayumu agreed. Her friends then noticed the odd way she was acting; and decided to ask about it. "Hey ayumu-senpai...is everything alright", shizuku asked. Pomu then looked at her with a tired face and clutched her stomach. "I'm not feeling so good today, I think I need to go". "Wait what's wro...". Before yuu could ask what was ailing her friend, she was gone. Leaving the other two girls to themselves. After this, the depressed second year walked herself home for the day. She just didn't feel like being around anyone. Meanwhile the other two girls didn't let this odd behavior ruin their evening. "Uhhh, what was wrong with her", shizuku asked. "I'm not sure...maybe an upset stomach?". "Hmmmm, well I was going to invite her to go get her nails done with us". "That was the plan", yuu sighed. "But it's best not to bother her when she's like this". Shizuku then looked at the ground with a disappointed face. "I see...very well then". "Should we just go home". "Noooo, I wouldn't want you to cancel the appointment you made", yuu giggled. "We'll bring her when she's feeling better". "I really hope we can do that soon", shizuku smiled. Once school ended the ayumuless duo went to their local nail salon. It was one of those small hole in the wall places that wasn't to big and fancy. A nice spot to get away and enjoy getting pampered. Once inside the two were greeted by a small smiling woman. "Welcome", she bowed. "I haven't seen you two here before...you new?". "Oh yes, this is our first time", shizuku nodded. "Ooooooh, then that means you get half off for your first time". "Really, that's awesome", yuu cheered. However a moment of confusion hit her at the same time; which made her question shizuku. "Wait...you haven't been here before". "Nope, first time", shizu answered. "Then how did you know about the place". "Well actually karin-san recommended it back when we...". "Uhh actually...I shouldn't talk about that should I". shizuku paused. "No it's okay...this does seem like somewhere she'd favor", yuu smiled "Yeah, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if we saw her", shizuku agreed. After this exchange the two sat down and chatted as two ladies worked on their finger nails. "So, what color did you want yours", yuu asked. "I was thinking a light blue". "Cute, it'd match your eyes". "Awwww thanks", shizu giggled. "How about you". "I just want regular old black... it's always been my favorite". "Nothing to fancy, that's so like you". The two then shared a small laugh together. Then a few moments after this, shizuku got a little curious. "So, how long have you and ayumu been friends?". "Us, really all our life". "She's always lived next to me; and we've always been close". "I can't even really remember a first time we met... she's always been there", yuu reminisced. "In fact she's probably the only reason I'm still making it through school". "Why's that", shizu asked. "Cause she's my alarm every morning", the girl giggled. The actress idol then looked off with a look of melancholy. "I envy you there, I've never really had many friends". "That is

until I joined the idol club, then I really started to feel happy". "We were like this big family that looked out for each other". "But now that's gone, and I was starting to feel those lonely feelings again", the first year sighed. As shizuku gave this sorrowful speech; her new friend decided to step in. "Well you shouldn't have to worry about any of that anymore". "Because we are your friends...and we don't plan on going anywhere". The second year then held out her fist to her underclassman. "And that's a promise". Upon seeing this shizuku smiled; as she could feel the love being directed at her. The two then shared a passionate fist bump. "Ugh miss, please put your hand down...i was almost finished", the nail lady interrupted. "Oh, sorry", yuu said with an embarrassed face. Soon after this the woman was finished up; and both girls were pretty satisfied. Shizuku held out her hand admiring the blue almost ocean like paint on her finger nails. "Thank you so much, it's so pretty". "Yeah I like mine to", yuu said flaunting her darker than black claws. "Your welcome, I have been doing this for twenty years you know". "That's awesome", shizuku nodded. After this, the girls paid their half off bill and left. Once outside the two were getting ready to go there separate ways. "So, you still staying over tomorrow", yuu asked. "Yes but is...ayumu". "Oh yeah, I was planning to call her when I get home". "Please do...I want her to spend time with us as well", shizuku pleaded. "Don't worry, she'll be there!". Once yuu got home that evening, she went to her bedroom and pulled out her phone. She then pulled up ayumu's number and laid across her bed. It rang about three times before she heard someone pick up. "Hello", yuu spoke. "Hey". "You feeling better". "I guess...", ayumu shrugged. "That's good, I was wondering if you still wanted to come tomorrow", yuu offered. "I don't know". "Oh come on ayumu, we were both really excited to spend time together". "Both", ayumu called out. "Yeah, shizuku wants to see you too". "Why would she want to see me". "Cause we're all friends...why else!", yuu giggled. Ayumu then thought about the situation for a moment. She really didn't want to go, but then again she really didn't want some girl staying over at yuu's without her. Ever since they were kids, ayumu was the only girl that slept over at miss takahashi's house. That was one thing that she wasn't going to let shizuku change. "I guess I'll come, it's not like I have anything else going on". "Great, I'll be waiting", yuu chuckled. "Yeah...see you then", pomu said before hanging up. After the call, ayumu began to think about things. She thought about all the sleepovers she and yuu had in their lives. Everyone of them had just been the two of them; except for the one at the school of course. But now shizuku was coming over; and was going to stay at yuu's house. This was something that didn't really make the girl happy; but then again what could she do. Yuu was the one that planned all this, she didn't really have a lot of pull. One thing that kept repeating in her mind though was "when". When would yuu-chan be just her's, when would these other girls disappear. When would the violence stop. All of these things buzzed around in her head; until she finally slipped off to sleep. Meanwhile on the other side of town, a shy actress sat at her night stand. She thought about all the things that had been happening, and how her life was changing. The brunette thought about her great new friends; and how they saved her from that familiar loneliness. She then held her newly painted nails up to the light and smiled. Shizuku had a great time with yuu today; and only wanted more where that came from. So before heading to bed, she clasped her hands together and prayed a simple prayer. "Please let tomorrow hurry up, I want to see them again". The next day the girls waited till evening to get ready. Before they left for yuu's house; they all decided to bring something to enjoy at the sleepover. Yuu had the snacks covered, while shizuku picked some

flicks from her movie collection. Meanwhile over at ayumu's, the murderous girl was currently cooking something up. "Ooooooh, those cupcakes look delicious", her mother complimented. "Thanks, there for the sleepover". Pomu's mom then watched as she started to put icing on each one. "Do you need some help". "No...I want to do it myself", ayumu smiled. We then watch as she coats each one with different colors. Some were pink, others were blue, but she made sure to leave one a special flavor. It was dark green with black sprinkles on top, naturally made for you know who. Ayumu always made sure to make yuu a special cupcake...just for her. After this, the love sick girl got ready to make her way to yuu's place. Which of course was right across the hall; so she didn't have to go far. So with sweets in hand, she knocked on her old friends door. Once it opened yuu greeted ayumu with a familiar dopey smile. "Hey, I'm glad you came". "Yeah, I made these", ayumu said holding her treats out. "Uh oh, your signature cupcakes...guess we're all putting on a couple pounds tonight", yuu joked. "Eeh, one or two shouldn't hurt", ayumu blushed. Then as the two were talking; another girl causally walked into the room. "Hey there ayumu-senpai...I'm so happy to see you", shizuku bowed. Upon seeing this face, ayumu's mood began to sour a bit. "Oh hey shizuku, didn't know you already made it". "Yep, but I only got here about thirty minutes ago". "I see, well it's nice to see you too", ayumu said in a not so happy voice. "I brought some movies...and I even made sure to grab a few modern ones", the girl smiled. "Then how about we break into those cupcakes and start one", yuu suggested. "That sounds wonderful!". So the three did just that, eating cupcakes while watching stuff from shizu's movie stash. As they were well into one of the films, ayumu spotted something. She watched as shizuku went to grab the special cupcake she made for her yuu-chan. Seeing this caused her to reach out and grab the underclassman's hand. "Hey, not that one". "Oh..s...sorry", shizuku said nervously. Yuu then glanced over and seen ayumu giving the girl a serious look. "Ayumu, what's wrong". "Ummm that one's special... it's". "It's for...you", the bun blushed. Yuu then noticed the color scheme of the treat and smiled. "Heh yep, these are the ones you always make for me", yuu chuckled. "Yes, and I want you to eat it". "Alright...shizuku you can just grab another one", yuu suggested. "Yeah sure...that's fine", the actress replied in a nervous tone. As the first year grabbed another frosted treat; she couldn't help but feel freaked out. Seeing the way ayumu acted over a single cupcake...kinda scared her. Shizuku ultimately chose to overlook this, as she was just trying to have a good time. A little later the movie was over; and the trio found themselves chatting it up about random stuff. "So ayumu, are you feeling alright since yesterday", shizuku asked. "Yeah...it was just a stomachache". "Well that's good to hear, I was a bit worried", the girl smiled. In the middle of talking, ayumu happened to glance down and see the girls freshly done nails. She then looked over at yuu's and saw the same thing. "Hey, what's with you guy's nails". "Oh you saw...we got them done yesterday", yuu smiled. "Yes, the lady was very good", shizuku added. Upon seeing this ayumu felt kinda jealous; she hadn't done anything like that in ages. "Hmmm, I guess I missed the invite". "We were going to invite you I promise, but you left before we could", shizuku assured. "Yeah, and we figured you probably needed some rest". Ayumu then made a blank face and chose to play it off like she didn't care. "It's fine, I'll just go with my mom sometimes". Yuu-chan wasn't satisfied with her statement though, and had a different idea. "Hey shizuku, wanna play beauticians". "Ummm sure...I guess", the confused girl stared. The two then watched as yuu ran to her room; and came back with a bunch of polishes in hand. "Good morning miss Osaka, is this our customer for today", the girl smiled. Seeing yuu act

like this, signaled shizuku to hop into character as well. "Oh yes, she just walked in". "I see... she's quite the pretty one isn't she", the girl giggled. "Come on guys, you don't have to do this". "I told you I'd go with my mom", ayumu grouched. "Nonsense", yuu disagreed. "A beautiful girl like you deserves some pampering". The two then sat their friend on the couch and went to town. The girls filed and painted pomu's nails as professionally as they knew how. Giving her a light shade of glittery pink that matched her pretty red hair. After this, they let her hair down and lightly began to brush it. "You have beautiful hair ma'am", shizuku complimented. "Thanks...I guess". "Yes, it rivals even a queen's", yuu chuckled. The two stylist then gave her a fishtail braid; and threw in a little makeup. Leaving pomu looking more like a disney princess. Once finished, both girls stood over their friend and reveled in their handiwork. "I'd say we did an excellent job miss shizuku". "Yes, she's utterly glowing", the first year agreed. Seeing how much fun her friends were having; ayumu even decided to play along. "Thanks for everything, but how much do I owe you girls today". "Not a dime miss, this one's on the house", shizuku bowed. "Yes, but next time you come you'll pay full price...and a tip". Then out of nowhere, all three girls busted out laughing. As they just couldn't hold it in anymore. Once the fun was over, the trio saw it was getting pretty late. So they all decided to get ready for bed. Now usually ayumu and yuu would sleep together; but all three wouldn't fit in one bed. So tonight things would be a little different. As yuu slept in her bed, and shizuku and ayumu had sleeping bags on the floor. While ayumu wasn't happy with this layout, she didn't really have a choice. So she picked out her spot and got ready to hit the hay. When she looked over at shizuku however; the first year didn't seem to be having a good time. As she just didn't seem comfortable in the spot she was in. "Heh, maybe she's scared of the dark", ayumu thought. A little later, just before she was about to go to sleep. Ayumu heard a small whisper echo through the room. The voice was calling for the attention of yuu-chan; seemingly trying not to wake anyone. "Ummmm yuu-senpai...are you still awake", it whispered. "Yeah, what is it shizuku". The embarrassed first year then let out a sigh before revealing a secret. "I'm kind of scared down here...do you think I could sleep with you". "Of course...hop in", yuu welcomed. "Oh thank you so much!". The small girl then stood up and crept past ayumu thinking she was asleep. She then crawled into bed with yuu, and snuggled in real close. "Comfortable". "Yes...and thanks again", the girl nodded. Meanwhile on the floor, unbeknownst to the rest of the room...miss uehara was wide awake. In fact, she was stewing at the move shizuku just made. "Who does that brat think she is". "Hopping in bed with yuu-chan...she must have a death wish". This sight was truly a rage inducing one; as ayumu had to watch another girl snuggled together with hers. In this moment she was so mad, that familiar feelings started to take over. One's that were angry, and full of bloodlust. At one point, pomu even found herself looking around the room for something that could do harm to shizuku. However yuu-chan didn't exactly have any weapons laying around. Alas a killer has a creative mind; as something in the corner of the room caught her eye. It was an old box fan that would cool the room on hot summer days. Now you may ask yourself, how could this hurt anyone. The fan itself honestly couldn't; but the long cord extending from it was a different story. Ayumu then found herself slowly creeping towards the old dusty thing. The murderous girl then ripped the long wire from the rest of the device. Now with her makeshift weapon in hand, she slowly approached yuu's bed. Once there, she stood over a sleeping shizuku with an empty look in her eyes. The thoughts of strangling the life from this girl excited ayumu. She figured that this was

exactly what she deserved. "This would be retribution, shizuku had been trying to keep yuu to herself". Before the byun could take this lethal step however; reality started to kick in. The girl wanted to do this so bad, but she knew that killing someone with so many witnesses around was a bad idea. So against her own wishes, ayumu had no choice but to calm down and bide her time. The girl then rolled up the wire and stuck it into her pocket. After this she crawled back into her sleeping bag and forced her eyes closed. Right now sleeping was something that was hard to do, but she tried her best. W The next morning when everyone was awake, ayumu sat quietly while her friends talked. "Hey, did the new student council president talk to you guys", shizuku asked. "Oh yeah she did, why". "I was just wondering, she took my number and told me to call her if I ever needed anything". "Hey, she did that to me too", yuu stated. "Really!". "Yeah, she's kinda weird isn't she", the second year giggled. "Ummmm, ayumu senpai...have you talked to her". "No...and I don't care too", ayumu said in a cold voice. "She would be best to stay away from me". "I see, did something happen". "No... I just don't care for her", ayumu shrugged. After this very awkward moment, shizuku's phone began to ring. "Hello". "Oh yes, I'll be there soon...love you too", the first year said before hanging up. "Who was that", yuu asked. "My mom, she's ready for me to come home". "oh okay, I'll help you get everything together", yuu smiled. "Thank you". While the two gathered up everything shizuku brought, a lightbulb went off in pomu's head. She was still more angry than ever at the first year; and saw this as an opportunity. "Hey, why don't I walk you to the station". "I had to go by the store for my mom anyway", ayumu offered. "Well...if you don't mind". "Course not, what are friends for", the older girl said with a fake smile. Once her things were packed the two got ready to leave. "I had a lot of fun yuu-senpai...I hope we can do it again soon", shizuku thanked. "Of course, anytime you guys want". After the goodbye's were said; the two girls departed the takahashi residence. Unfortunately for shizuku though, ayumu didn't plan for her to make it home. "So, you two have been doing these sort of things for years right", shizuku said trying to make conversation. "Yeah, all our life". "That's so sweet, I hope we can all be close too", shizu giggled. Ayumu almost laughed as she heard the girl say this; as she had no intention of that happening. But she decided to keep talking for just a bit longer. "Say, what did kasumi say to you when you tried to talk to her". "Oh her, she completely buzzed me off and ignored me". "she acted as if she didn't even know me", shizuku sighed. "It honestly hurt". "I can imagine, what about the third years". "I heard that kanata was going to shinome with haruka". "But I didn't even talk to emma and karin", shizuku explained. "I see...so then you decided to just insert yourself in our lives", ayumu growled. "Ex... excuse me". "You know, no one else wanted to deal with you so you came to us". "Did I get that about right", ayumu smirked. Upon hearing these mean words shizuku began to get a bit emotional. "I...just wanted some friends, I had no one to talk too". "Awwwww that's so sad". "But I don't think anyone cares", pomu giggled. "Hey why are you being mean!". "Why are you being a little brat that wants someone to show her sympathy". "I...I... thought you guys liked me", shizuku said starting to cry. "Heh, I've never cared about you". "And as for yuu-chan...she's just a nice person that feels sorry for you". "And your just a parasite that will take advantage of that". "No I'm not...I like you guys!". "Well we've never liked you". As ayumu broke the girl down; she failed to notice that they weren't on the normal path anymore. In fact the two were now walking down an old movie theater alleyway. The type of place where there wasn't any cameras or groups of people. "You know I felt a little bad for you at first too, that is until

I realized your a little parasite". "Huff, why...why are you". Before shizuku could say anything else ayumu pulled the long fan cord form her purse. Ayumu then ran up to her and wrapped it around her neck. With the wrecked state of mind she was in right now; shizuku never saw any of this coming. "What are yo...". Unfortunately it was to late to ask questions; as ayumu began to choke the life out of the girl. Shizuku wasn't going to let this happen easily, as she tried to put up a fight. The brave actress flailed and scratched; trying her hardest to escape. Sadly though, you can't put up much of a fight if you can't breathe. Meanwhile, seeing the deep scratches carved into her arms caused ayumu to get angry. So she began pulling even tighter, as shizuku started to turn blue. At this point the girl wasn't even fighting anymore; she instead had tears coming from her eyes. As she felt utterly betrayed and hurt in every way possible. She thought she had some nice new friends to help her through high school. But the cord wrapped tightly around her neck said other wise about that. Now ayumu began lowering the poor girl to the ground, as the life fled her young body. Shizuku Osaka, the first year drama club student...was gone. Killed by someone she thought she called a friend. The most painful part about this, is that the last week had been so happy for her. Now all of her dreams were gone, and her happy smile was a memory. We then see an out of breath ayumu stand over her with blood dripping down her arms. So far no one fought as hard as shizuku, it actually surprised pomu. But it was over now... another rival was taken out. We then see ayumu drag shizuku's limp corpse next to the theaters dumpster. The tired second year then grabbed a few old boxes and attempted to hide the body. This didn't really do the job, but ayumu couldn't be here all day. Before she left though, she had to throw some salt in the wounds. So she walked over to where shizuku was hidden...and began to laugh. "Heh,heh, you wanna know something funny shizuku". "You ended up where most aspiring actress's do...in the trash". Now with yet another idol dead, ayumu happily skipped home in victory. One big problem however, was the many scratches down both her arms. How was she going to hide this if shizuku was found. More importantly, is she planning to keep killing like this forever? So In my last post i said i wanted to talk about vtubers and i feel like the best place to start would be to explain how i got into the rabbithole because i feel like it is quite diferrent from many others.

most of the time when i hear other people talk about it it’s the same story: they randomly saw one clip (and it is always the same three clips they talk about: Korones ‘eekum bokum’, Fubukis ‘scatman’ or Mikos ‘N-word’) and youtube did the rest.

So it all started in the distant year of 2010 (i know that’s way before vtubers really existed but bear with me here this is gonna make sense later)

so in 2010 Lisa randomly found a videogame in a yard sale and told me about it. That game was The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. After i saw her play it i knew i had to get it too and it was one of our favourite games at the time.

So you can probably imagine how excited we were when just one year later the sequel came out: Skyrim (and if you somehow haven’t heard of that one: congratulations for living under a rock for more than 10 years).

And of course we played the shit out of it. and eventually wanted to try some mods... so we went to youtube... and found the MxR channel who did weekly mod showcases.

so we watched him for a while, then eventually his girlfriend jeannie started streaming on twitch.

and she did a cooking stream with Projekt Melody...

So yeah, the first Vtuber we ever saw wasn’t from hololive, or on youtube, or even on the actual Vtubers channel.

But we actually really liked Melody in that stream and watched a couple VODs from her. mostly her chatting streams with Ironmouse.

From there we discovered the rest of Vshojo, we watched tons of clips from them on youtube, watched their streams whenever we noticed that they were live (Fun Fact the first stream we watched live was Silvervale playing Skyrim so it kinda came full circle) and generally enjoyed their content without even knowing that other agencies existed.

But as anyone who fell into the rabbithole can tell you it doesn’t stay that way. The youtube algorythm will make sure of that.

So eventually there were more and more Hololive clips in our recommended. but we never clicked on any of them for some reason until i found one video: "Investigating Takanashi Kiara's Hole (of death)” by hypurban. (and honestly that hole is still hillarious to me. i mean a 1x1 hole in the middle of nowhere that somehow killed kiara (twice), IrYS and Suisei)

That was around the time when we both really got back into minecraft so i clicked on it... and then watched part 2... and then some other hololive minecraft clips... and before i knew what had happened i was subscribed to all of the Myth girls...

from there we continued with watching all the VODs of the Minecraft streams meaning pretty much everything we ever saw on youtube were hololive clips and we fell deeper and deeper into the rabbithole

-we dicovered the council girls and the ID girls and subscribed to them too.

-we watched some videos about the JP girls to better understand what they were about (thanks to Naggz for these)

-we even watched all of the reddit-shitpost reviews with subtitles and tried to learn more about coco and her legacy

quick timeskip here to the first debut streams we actually caught live: the Tempus boys

until then we didn’t really watch any of the holostars because 1. we don’t understand japanese and 2. we simply didn’t really care about them but we decided to give them a chance and... yeah they’re great.

that brings us to the last agency we followed... Nijisanji... we actually started following them really recently. i mean we had already seen quite a few clips from them but we never really paid much attention to tem before all the hologirls started getting into Rust which is a game we neither like or care about and so we started looking elsewhere and stumbled upon a VOD of Selen and Pomu playing WWE 2K22 (or... well... less ‘playing’ and more commentating) which was really funny and we continued to watch more of them and the other NijiEN girls (and some of the boys)

at this point pretty much all of youtube and twitch is just filled with Vtubers for us but that’s probably also because we are just subscribed to so many of them

and that’s pretty much it. Lisa likes to blame me for dragging her into the rabbithole, but hey, she’s the one who got me into The Elder Scrolls so if you really think about it. She did this to herself.

i think next i’m gonna talk about some of the Vtubers in more detail and tell you what i think about them specifically.
