Welcome to Weekly Star Wars Prompts! This is a place you can find prompts to inspire creativity when you are in a creative slump ✨

This IS NOT a prompt challenge—it’s a place to drop in whenever you just need an extra nudge of inspiration 🥰

There may also be the occasional poll game and tag game here if the moderator thinks of something fun ❤️

At this time, I will not be reblogging prompt fills to this blog, although you are more than welcome to use the tags so that others can find your work!

If you would like to submit a Prompt Suggestion, you can do so HERE! Just a couple things to keep in mind:

All prompts posted here will he PG rated (what you do with the prompts is up to you!)

Prompts can be Star Wars specific, but they should be general enough that most anyone in the fandom can use them (for example: Lightsaber is more general while Luke panics after losing his lightsaber is specific)

The official launch of this page will be in September 2024, so be watching!

I should not have to keep batting away apps that my Roku has decided to just add to my collection and now it's pushing sports and live tv in my face? Instead of the apps I actually arranged in the order I want on my Home Screen??

Like I did go into the settings and recommendations and live tv and sports were all off they were all on hidden but no makes way more sense to have to go into all of them and click show and click hide again

Fuck remember when you could use your tv without it being hell? I specifically don't have a "smart" tv so my tv doesn't do this but now the roku is doing it. Even tho it kinda sucked after a decade I miss the old roku I had because it COULDNT update wirelessly. It literally didn't know anything past the year it was made

Keely McDonald notches the best episode of ATLA live action under her belt, with episode 4. The next tier contains the "I have (almost) no complaints, this is good" episodes, 7, 8, 5, and 3. 6 and 2 bring up the rear, with good material intermittently punctuated by the series' bad habits. And then 1's abomination, of course. Other reviews have noted how the series' main problem is that the protagonists are kids because of the source material, so the live action version can't really get away with the child soldiering the way the cartoon could without going tokusatsu-style camp. Which is, actually, entirely possible, as shown by Legend of the Seeker, combining Xena-style Raimi camp with a very similar "wander the woods and theoretically defeat that evil King at some point" plot as ATLA. Unfortunately, this show still drank some of the ATLA hype Kool-aid, so it's deadly afraid of camp. Which is a shame, since comedy would be a real useful avenue to condense all of the plot they're already condensing. But you can see how much the show perks up when the adult characters and actors get to do their best "wartime suffering" monologues or Fire Nation Court Politics. (Which is, of course, why the Fire Nation teenagers also get to be instantly more interesting than, um, Aang or Katara. Damn, these writers need to kill more darlings and be willing to let those two have, like, actual layers? Not just spouting their motivations directly at all times? They should have less self-awareness! Much less!)

god it feels like lately we have lost so much progress in terms of movies and tv and gaming actually remembering that people with photosensitivity conditions (epilepsy, migraine, etc) exist and that it’s SO FREAKING EASY to not include effects in your media that will send them straight to hell

we went from early 2000s “we are all petrified of another Pokémon Shock incident so let’s be nice to the people whose brains can’t handle the flashes” to “nearly every movie and tv show has a flashing lights warning crowdsourced on social media and games have been so emboldened to not give a fuck that we had a game with a literal seizure inducing machine built in”. I literally do not get to watch anything on launch day anymore unless I think it’s worth the extremely non zero chance of having up to a week of pain so bad it can make me faint.
