If there is life after the Earth-life, will you come with me? Even then? If we're meant to be something, why not together.
Dianthus of Oenoe (also called Dia or very rarely Dianthe) is my main sona / self insert / etc. She's basically me but if i was in Hade game's setting <3 more info below! ( Art credits: Laurel (TH) / 2nd drawing is by me )
She's physically in her 20s and about 5'4. Her father was a human merchant from somewhere in Sub-Saharan Africa, and her mother was Chloris, a nymph-goddess from Etruria. Due to being half nymph Dianthus has some powers over plantlife herself, but they're very weak and mostly useless. Her hair and body will sometimes sprout flowers or even fruit, but it tends to happen randomly, and like any flower they eventually wilt overtime! She met Theseus while still alive, and aided him in his battle against the Bull of Marathon. Afterwards Theseus returned to Athens, but he intended to return to Dia's home so that he may have her hand in marriage. Unfortunately, however, Theseus was soon sent off to Crete to deal with another bull problem overseas, and Dia had to leave her home to avoid an arranged marriage. After this and up until her death, she became a Maenad, a member of the retinue of Dionysus, and thru him became associated with the Eleusisian mysteries. When she died, her body was transformed into a carnation. Later, in Elysium, she reunited with King Theseus, and helped him again, this time in the task of bringing Asterius to Elysium! Within the blessed fields, she works as a librarian. She's a rather sweet girl for the most part, and tries her best to be kind to others. However... she can also be a bit arrogant and self centered as well. She's very stubborn and headstrong when she needs to be, but also won't hesitate to give up on a task if it proves to be too much- she's very concerned for her own rest and relaxation, after all. When it comes to Theseus and Asterius, she often has to remind them to take breaks as well! Silly funfacts: ~ She writes gay fanfiction of heroes even more ancient than those of greece. ask her about her gilgamesh/enkidu yaoi collection (don't actually ask her she'll get embarassed) ~ within a plaza of elysium, there's a board within the plaza where shades can come by and pin things they've written. one user of this board is only known as "championsgirl01" and writes some very passionate posts... most of them in defense of the king himself.
~ Her favourite flower is actually the sunflower, but she also loves pink roses and carnations, her namesake. ~ She collects merch of the champions, and is the vice president of their fanclub. She also watches every match! ...In reality, though, she really doesn't care that much about the sportmanship thing. She just likes watching sweaty buff guys battling it out. ~ Friends with Patroclus, Achilles, Dusa, and surprisingly, Alecto. Has a weird frenemies thing with Zagreus. Co-workers with Hypnos but he's always asking what Asterius is up to which makes her look at him with daggers in her eyes </3

Raffles' Great Game and Bunny's heart
After a long weekend, Easter, a trip, a storm, a blackout (!), no mobile signal (!!) and an April's Fools special (!!!) I finally have time to read Gentlemen and Players, thanks to my dear friend Bunny.
I learnt a bit more about cricket but it still hard to understand. I need to see some videos to understand more because it isn't a popular sport on this side of the world. What I really understand is the interesting dinamic between Raffles and Bunny.
Raffles is the mastermind behind every crime. He's the one with the intelligence and experience. In this story we see how Raffles plans this burglary with every detail, he takes his time to train Bunny and to observe the people gathered for the game. He keeps his mind cool but his sportmanship blooms when he knows there's another buglar in the place and AJ gets more excited. This is a chance to learn and to improve from another thieves and the presence of a detective makes everything spicier.
"You're quite right, Bunny. I won't. I really won't. Yet—you saw old Lady Melrose's necklace? I've been wanting it for years! But I'm not going to play the fool; honor bright, I'm not; yet—by Jove!—to get to windward of the professors and Mackenzie too! It would be a great game, Bunny, it would be a great game!"
Bunny, being a rookie buglar, still has some problems with the anxiety during the event and has some problems lying. Also he's not a good cricketer like Raffles but at least he tries. Manders can get paralysed some seconds, but still springs into action when is necessary:
But I stood like a fool until the pair of them backed into me, when, with a deep breath I flung myself on the fellow, whose face I had seen at last.
Bunny's mind is so centered on Raffles that he doesn't take time to observe the other assistants, and his infatuation with Raffles blinds partially his moral and sense of justice so it's not a surprise to see Bunny happy for being "in the right side" for once.
I just love this beautiful contrast between Raffles and Bunny even when they both are thieves because they need money. For Raffles buglary is like a great game, a sport, something to show off his skills and keep his mind working. For Bunny it's a chance to do something exciting and dangerous with Raffles, something that makes him feel anxious and squeeze his heart but he enjoys being Raffles' loyal squire as always.

recently i am hearing a lot of people talking about how there is a lack of cut throat rivalry and on track battles among the drivers because they are too “friendly” with each other off track and that might be the reason why they are not sending it on each other during the race . + that there is no tension which ultimately makes it boring for the spectators. some say that we should bring back off track tensions between drivers as a solution. I don’t necessarily agree but it’s not just delulu fans on twitter saying this but even podcast hosts that i always enjoy listening to is also saying this. just wanted to get ur opinion too since u have been a fan of the sport much longer.
As someone who has been watching F1 for so many years that I've experienced the sport with the kind of rivalry and tension you're refering to: I absolutely could not disagree more.
Yeah, it would definitely add another level excitement to the sport for fans and journalists alike, but it would also add another level of toxicity that I personally have never enjoyed.
I've seen the same change in other sports over the years, such as football, and I personally think it's such a beautiful development. What we're seeing now — the kind of sportmanship where you can have the toughest battles on track or on the pitch, where you can say stupid shit in the heat of the moment to and about your engineers/teammates/rivals, and still come out of that race/match/situation without there being any lasting damage to relationships — is exactly what I like to see.
There's enough drama and tension in F1 on occasion as it is — not to mention the constant fabricated drama from the media surrounding the sport — and I definitely don't agree that we should to bring back more of it.

Maybe I’m just an oldfuddy duddy raised in the 90s during the neo-hippy “save he planet” era (we were all very crunchy right before Grunge)- but I think this would be a good time for the Stars Table to post some actual wolf facts like how they don’t actually have a reputation for attacking humans, how people are trying to make it legal to hunt them from like, helicopters (bad sportmanship if you ask me but also illegal in 48 states of the United states), and how destroying their numbers wreaks havoc on biodiversity.
That might be what bothered me the most about this whole shebang
This of course is what I’ve seen looking at it from American sources

everytime i remember both barty & james are setters in ur haikyuu au i go a little insane...... what r they like when they're playing each other?? constantly taunting the other, doing setter dumps back and forth, telling each other the exact play they're about to do, etc....
cass my light my love i'm so glad you asked i only just thought about them yesterday
so back in january i've been watching a lot of international volleyball games on youtube and like taking notes and through that found out how i want james and barty to play. i bet you remember this post. both james and barty do this but in different ways. iranian national team setter saeid marouf does this thing where no matter how good or bad the receive is he always manages to keep his players in a tight rhythm. they're on a time limit so to say and he passes the ball accordingly fast after taking it on, urging his hitters to sped up their last two steps before the jump, which increases their hight and power. it's so mercyless and trusting and how talented you have to fucking be to keep that up let alone invent that so that's our james right there. for barty he is less of an obvious genius (i'm not 100 sure yet if i'll leave it like that or might add something but for now) he always sets percisely in the hitting window to let them also make decisions of their own because they're all so cunning and observant he knows they'll decide on the right thing. slytherin has a wild variety of plays that all are very confusing to their opponent (lots of players attacking at the same time and curved sprints, switching places and everything) even after a bad receive they manage to pull a complex play (they're much like seijoh in that aspect). barty signalizes them the play he wants to do and waits until the last second with deciding who he wants to set to, he's a calculating monster. always having the opponents players in view, how his own hitters are doing, how the receive was, everything. his unpredictability makes him dangerous.
now when they're playing against each other is mostly a disaster waiting to happen. barty is a first year and he's constantly getting admonished by his upperclassmen and the second evan only so much as suspects barty's concentration is slipping because he's too focused on beating James instead of gyffindor he sends him the biggest death glare to reign him back in. and while james is also only a second year, he is captain. sirius has to do so much damage control as vice whenever his temper gets the better of him and it's, if understandably when against barty, a lot.
slytherin is a downright mean team. they block the view to the person serving. they aim where it hurts. yknow how the teams assemble after each point for morality/celebration to like pat each others back? whenever gryffindor makes a mistake and esp when they fumble a serve, slytherin cheers just a tad too loudly. like it's bordering on disrespectful/bad sportmanship. also (and while they def dont need to resort to such measures) they love questioning the referees. they insist there was a block touch or they insist that the served ball was outside of the line etcetc. ofc james is the first to also stand by the refs, shaking his head and desperately trying to remain calm because he does not appreciate getting cheated.
barty being our deceptive king probably would do something like revealing his plays when he hears some of the opponents talk about it, but he'd have to do it under his breath and in secret because the thrid years dont appreciate him being that cocky (because they dont know yet that he can pull it off). also one time after a bad receive he yells Quick! but instead of a middle blocker quick he sets to an outside hitter and everyone is like ?!!?!? but yeah 100% setter dumps back and forth i can easily see james doing one at the very beginning of a set or match even. constantly taunting each other. like in my mind i think it would take quite a lot to get james to lose his uplifting/confident demeanor (as in sad/resigned to a loss) but he does get annoyed/infuriated from time to time, esp about someone outsmarting him (cough atsumu core). and barty is just overall pissed at james keeping his form and not fucking up and petty asf and he 100% trash talks near the net. maybe even about sirius and regulus
#also barty 100% pulls a 🫰🏻 at evan#and gets cuffed over his head for it by everyone#can u tell i've been meaning to talk about them?:))#so normal about this au#haikyuu au#cass tag

talk about your favorite ship NEOWW!! >:)
The can has been open. rgggaaaAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
OKAY SO, Hondo x Sandman (A.K.A Dreamland Rush) I LOVE them so fucking much. My otp, my reason to wake up, my 2 rays of sunshine rgahhhhhh. But lemme tell you why I love it sm.
Tho Hondo and Sandman don't appear to have a lot in common (like their sportmanship for example) but their core values when it comes to boxing are the same (Both take boxing seriouslly, both actually train, both have a very respectful record, etc) and hc that's one of the things that got them closer.
Another things I love about this ship is that it has fluff, hurt and comfort.
One of piece the hurt/comfort I want to explore is Sandman's reaction to losing for the first time and his feelings of guilt. Cause canonically, he caused Hondo's first loss. And like now, he gets to feel what he made his boyfriend feel and Hondo trying to convise Sandman he's not mad at him for that.
Another hurt/comfort I have for them is the idea that Hondo had some self doubt and strugle with his self image from losing to Mac but Sandman helped him to feel better. But in TD Hondo has to help Sandman who is strugling with his image self dout and canonically, sleep deprevation from losing to Mac. The idea of them going "You helped me, now I help you" makes me scream ahhh.
Also, I like to hc that of the boxers loves their relationship, they think they are veru cute together
I WILL TALK MORE ABOUT THEM IN THE FUTURE CAUSE THIS GETTING LONG!!!

KnB 30-Days Challenge
Day 10 : Favorite Team
Shūtoku High School BC 🏀🧡
Another very difficult choice for me. Every team in this show has unique characters, an interesting dynamic and their own unique playstyle and something special, like a quirk. I kind of know what my TOP 3 teams are, but choosing one of them seemed like an impossible mission... So, I made a little system that will help me pick my favorite team. When I added and substracted some points, Shūtoku won!
Shūtoku, as a team, has some of my most favorite characters ever. It is also the only team (after Rakuzan) in which I love and adore absolutely every member! Since I rambled about Shintarō and Kiyoshi, and am going to ramble about Kazunari very soon, let me just talk about the forgotten two of Shūtoku: Taisuke Ōtsubo and Shinsuke Kimura. A lot of people seem to forget that these two guys exist. They don't look super flashy, like Shintarō and Kiyoshi for example, because they have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes and generic hairstyles. They don't have prominent personalities either, like the other 3 members, who have their own very distinctive quirks and personality traits. But, that is just the surface. I was very curious one day and decided to scratch it and dive a little more into the lives and personalities of these two handsome boys. Well, after researching about them, they turned out to be very interesting, and dear to me.
Taisuke Ōtsubo. He is a serious, responsible, determined captain and a great sportsman. He is the pillar of his team on the court and is there to cover up the mistakes of his fellow members by saving every rebound he can. Everybody seems to think he is just tall, strong and scary and rough, but seriously, this guy is just a teddy bear. Other than being very kind and showing it in form of great sportmanship, he has some really surprising hobbies. It's cooking, cleaning, and knitting! In Extras, he is shown to be really skilled with needles and yarn, knitting a scarf almost 2 meters long during a boring class! He also carries things he made in his bag all the time, like mittens, hats... These things he does are not usually something that men do, and I just love how he looks like the manliest man ever and has these hobbies, breaking the patriarchal norms. He also really loves his team and always takes care of his teammates, knowing how to motivate them and cheer them up when it's needed, and tending to them when practices get tough and they feel sick. My favorite thing about him is that he likes spending his free time with his little sister, Ōtsubo Tae! Her age was never confirmed, but she is somewhere around 15, or maybe even 16, if we think about what Yūya said. Now, a lot of big brothers seem to, for some reason, find it boring, and even embarrassing, to hang out with their little sisters, but no, not Taisuke Ōtsubo. This guy loves it, we know it because he chooses to spend his free time in her presence! Taisuke is 18 years old, a grown man, basketball player, graduate student, preparing for college and adult life, and in a busy time like that, when he finds free time, he still spends time with his little sister. I can totally see them cooking together and cleaning together, but another activity that I can see them doing is just, talking. Taisuke can sit and talk with his sister all day, listening to her without feeling the need to interrupt her of mansplain anything if she just needs to let things out, or offering honest advice and support when she needs it. He is also surely protective of her, making sure to let everybody in her life know that if they hurt her in any way, he will find out and they will pay for it. He is just ready to do anything for his sister, I think. Another little detail about his character, that I really love, is that he is part of the Library Committee, which means he likes to read, and help people find books they like! Not only that, but his favorite subject is physcis, which means he is good at it, and that only reveals how smart he actually is! This man literally has the words 'Perfect Guy' on his forehead, how can people sleep on him like that? The only thing he can't do is kill a cockroach (actual canon and his actual only shortcoming).
Shinsuke Kimura. Calm, hard-working, doesn't like the spotlight and prefers to stay out of trouble. That's pretty much the only things people know about him. Though, reading between the lines of his behaviour, I found a couple of really endearing character traits! I He is a really supportive person, but he is doing it rather quietly most of the time. In games, he sets up solid screens to give his teammates freedom to move and opportunities to score, though. He also brings delicious fruits when practices get exhausting, and he is there to help his teammates if they ever feel sick, like when he was rubbing Kazunari's back and called for help when he felt like throwing up. He is even supportive in the strangest way possible, by always offering a pineapple to Kiyoshi when he is irritated, supporting his dear friend's anger issues. When times call for it, he knows how to motivate his teammates and give them a reason to stand up on their feet and continue fighting. He is extremely hard-working and he proved it by practicing harder than everyone until he finally reached the starter line. That's a thing I really admire him for. Something that caught my attention when reading his Wiki page and exploring his character was how he likes to spend his free time. He spends it by helping at home. Now, if you know that his family owns a convenience store and grows their own fruits, it probably means that he helps with taking care of the said plants, carries heavy boxes, cleans the store, helps in organising new arrivals, works as a cashier and so on... However, if you ever happened to notice the fact that he doesn't have a mother, it adds another, whole different meaning. Having only a father means that all the house and store responsibilities fall onto him when his boys are at school, which is difficult to balance. So, taking care of the house, cleaning it and cooking meals, probably sometimes falls onto his two sons, and very likely Shinsuke, as the older brother, takes care of most of those things. This boy is another level of hard-working. We can even gyess that he gave up college to continue the family's bussiness, because he is never shown worrying about any college entrance exams, like the other two Third Years. He is just, wow. The moment I completely fell in love with him was when I listened to a Special CD. In the said CD, he reveals such a beautiful side of himself and he tells us about something really important for him. He talks about wrestling. He has been doing it since he is 8 years old, it's something that he loves a lot and is extremely passionate about! I wish you guys could hear his voice when he talks about wrestling, he just sounds so happy and passionate! Oh, and he gets so excited when he finds out Shintarō knows a thing or two about his sport! Listening to that part of the CD always makes my little heart melt! Shinsuke is so precious to me and I just love him so much!
If you get into typology, Shinsuke and Taisuke both have a Kanji in their names that means 'Support', showing how important they are for the Shūtoku team. Also, they are really handsome, and it's a hill I will die on. If anyone disagrees with me on this one, I am willing to argue until the end of time.
Now, the characters aren't even the best part of this team. What I endlessly love is the chemistry and all the different friendships between all of them!
Three Third years and two First years in a single team is a really interesting combination itself. Almost like parents and children. Getting along with each other, as two separate generations, was probably something that they had to work on a lot, but in the end, they did it! Since the beginning, the First years had respect for their Seniors by listening to them and respecting their opinions. Sometimes, the Third years had to pick their younger members up and give them motivation to keep fighting. They are also there to tend to the boys when they feel unwell and are always willing to offer their help when they get in trouble, like in the Midorima's Unlucky Day Extra! An important step towards the team working well was Third years getting along with the fact that the First years, were indeed, special, and needed to be cut some slack for such behaviour from time to time. Honestly, realising that they will be on the same team only for a single year breaks my heart every time, it breaks theirs as well... The moment Shintarō and Kazunari pointed that out in their game against Rakuzan was the only time I cried in the show. Seriously, I love these guys so much.
Shūtoku has some really interesting friendships as well, one of the most precious friendships being the one between Kazunari and Shintarō. It is obvious that these two are inseparable! After all, they are always there for each other, on the basketball court, in school and even in private life, offering support and having fun! Kazunari cares for Shintarō really deeply, and he shows it by carrying some of his neccesities, such as tape for fingers and sometimes even lucky items with himself, and always being there to cheer him up and protect him if the upperclassmen are picking on him. Shintarō is pretty tsundere, usually trying hard to not show how much he actually appreciates Kazunari and his thoughtfulness, but every time he softly smiles and relies on his dear friend he reveals to us how much he appreciates him.
Another friendship that is very dear to me is the one between Kiyoshi and Shinsuke! These two share the same story on how they got their well deserved positions as the starter members of the basketball team. They worked harder than everyone, stayed late to practice and got close because of that, possibly practicing with each other a bunch of times. But that's not everything, The Extras really reveal just how close these two are! They are actually classmates as well! Being in the same class with someone surely brings two people together, so these two being in the same classroom for 3 consecutive years surely did its wonders! Now, their personalities might clash a little, because Shinsuke is calm and Kiyoshi is rather uptight, Shinsuke prefers to stay out of trouble while Kiyoshi attracts a lot of trouble, but they are also similar in their determination, seriousness and hard-work, which is why they can probably get along. In the anime, we can also see these two tease each other sometimes, in the besties way, of course. The Extras also show how sometimes, when paired up, these two know how to 'have fun' by poking at their underclassmen (which is a little mean, but they never really hurt anyone, as far as I know, so they are forgiven). Oh, and of course, they have this famous pineapple/pick-up truck deal, where Shinsuke always offers his fruits or vehicle to his dear friend when he is irritated. It is just so iconic, like their own little inside joke!
There is also something very interesting going on between Taisuke and Kiyoshi. At one point in the anime, Taisuke reveals to Shintarō and Kazunari that they go to idol concerts together and that idols are actually their common interest! As someone who is into idols myself, I can see them collecting albums, CDs and photocards and trading them with each other all the time, which is something that is fun when done with friends! But that's not quite it... Remember when Taisuke said he was really used to seeing Kiyoshi work so hard? Well, I somehow came to an idea that they practiced basketball together, more specifically, that Taisuke helped Kiyoshi with polishing his fundamentals and mastering dribbling against an opponent with good defense. This duo kind of makes sense, because Taisuke is just supportive like that, he is the type of a guy who would help others in need with no hesitation, and Kiyoshi just screams 'someone help' as a character and a person, and especially in that period of time, I think. So, naturally, they were kinda drawn to each other, and later when they realised they have some things in common, they became good friends! I can kind of see Kiyoshi always feel so grateful for Taisuke because he supported him and helped him in some really tough times, and probably even picked him up when he fell. Also, before Taisuke revealed their shared interest to his underclassmen, he was about to say something about Kiyoshi, but he cut himself in the middle of his sentence and never said it. I can feel that he was about to say something really nice about him, groundbreaking for their relationship even, and I am still mad he never finished it...
Shūtoku is also a team with a lot of brothers and sisters, where every regular memeber we know has a younger sibling! Shintarō, Kazunari and Taisuke have younger sisters, while Shinsuke and Kiyoshi have younger brothers! Sadly, we never got to truly meet any of them. We only know something little about Yūya, only know Tae's name and looks, and the appearance of little Kimura. Unfortunately, we have nothing for little Midorima and little Takao. Well, still, it's really something interesting to think about, all the possible big brother tropes that the regulars of Shūtoku might be! It's sad that we don't have almost anything for some of these younger siblings, but that doesn't have to be all that bad! It leaves room for our own imagination and creativity to shine, we can make up our own fun headcanons for their looks, ages, personalities and relationships!
I just love this team so much! 🧡

Angsty Wolfpack Thoughts
Okay I said the other day I'd post a bit some of my angstier Wolfpack thoughts so here... basically I was thinking about how I think basically most things about them, especially the rejecting individuality to be a pack stuff, comes from abandonment issues + trauma from their parents leaving, and the fact Scott doesn't remember any of that and isn't affected the same way and so doesn't have the same need to be a part of the pack like them contributes to them having a somewhat difficult relationship in a way that's very interesting to me.
The age difference is really important because I think it's actually being able to remember the abandonment that makes the Wolfpack act so differently to Scott. The devs have said only some of the Wolfpack share Scott's surname, meaning the Wolfpack aren't all brothers but at least 2 sets of cousins among themselves, which I think supports my thinking.
I think in response to their abandonment issues they try cope by taking an extreme view of like 'we'll stick together forever and that will be safe, everyone not in the pack is dangerous, if we don't get close to anyone outside the pack they can't leave us'. A lot of their asshole behaviour (like when they're mean to other characters or they are ineffectively hitting on girls/the moon) reads to me as being more about their own insecurities, proving themselves to each other and like trying to make themselves feel good and part of the group together. Like I don't think they actually care if Calculester has facial hair they just want to 'prove' themselves 'better' than him (an interesting event for me considering they have WAY less facial/body hair than Scott also, which again suggests the insecurity aspect of their bullying) or like when they are trying to ask out Vera and Miranda they're really caught up in saying stupid shit ('the hottest dogs to ever not literally be hot dogs' 'we'll show you courtship sportmanship on the COURT!!') more than focused on actually trying to force one of them to go on a date, and even the narrator unusually notes they're not actually trying to be assholes here, they're just stupid. Conversely, the time they are nicest to you is the lunchtime event where they decide to be "aggressively inclusive" and make you an honorary member of the pack. The way they have to justify being nice as 'you're one of us for a bit' I think shows how they really can't see beyond "in the pack = safe, out of the pack = not safe" even when they want to be friendly and have a nice time with people.
I think their constant attempts to get Scott to be more in the pack and stop having outside friends comes from a (very misguided) attempt to protect him - they think its safer to stay as a pack and any non-werewolf friends will abandon him. I actually think Vera's speech at the end of the FAMILY route about identifying what is not hell and holding onto those people is very pertinent to them. I think especially her promises never to leave Scott probably are why the Wolfpack are okay with her saying she's family to Scott and they're in the final image with everyone, because I think it speaks to their way of understanding the world.
I know their occasional moments of self-awareness are mostly for comedy, but when they admit things like 'we harass scott to cope with our unstable home life' to me that opens up interesting possibilities for thinking about exactly how much they are aware they are maybe not coping in the healthiest way. In the FAMILY route when they thank you for stopping them ruining Scott's idea of parents, and again the fact they let Vera refer to herself as part of Scott's family, it suggests to me that on some level they are aware it is actually better for Scott to have his beliefs and other friends.
I think it's interesting to imagine could they perhaps even feel jealous that he is able to have that faith and fearlessness to connect with others? Do they resent that he can do that and that he doesn't carry the trauma the same way as them? The dynamic of like 'i want to protect this younger family member and im glad they didnt go through the same things as me but also it hurts that i feel fucked up by what's happened to me and they're not and we can't fully understand each other because of it' is interesting for me to think about in regards to them. Some of this I think is reading in more than you can directly get from the text, but it's the sort of thing I find fun to explore beyond canon if that makes sense.
Also all this angsty headcanon thoughts don't mean I think they're actually secretly really sad all the time or something. I think their worst behaviours are driven by these abandonment issues in a way that feels like a clear thread through their actions, and I think they are on some level aware of it, but I think thats all buried pretty deep generally and most of the time they are all focused on having a good time being lads together. I think if they start to get too consciously sad they would probably cover it by lashing out or getting extremely hype over something distracting. Hils Watches Cross Fire - Ep 13
I still have concerns about a high school student being solely in charge of his physical therapy because she happens to be on an athletics team
Just what every captain wants to hear from their own dad. At least he's giving helpful advice now and not just being a dick
That is actually kind of sweet
"I'll buy you yoghurt for the rest of your life" has to be the most interesting proposal I've ever seen. And it worked!
I'm so emotional about Xiao Feng being a big brother to Lu Xiaobei. I really want to know if whenever they meet like this if present day Lu Xiaobei then remembers it.
Every time he's on screen I just sigh and draw hearts on the screen. A good choice to play Pangzi he's so handsome.
I know I said I was done shipping after Xu Wei's betrayal but THEY ARE SO CUTE
A hah! I knew he was going undercover!
Okay that is super bad sportmanship though
God, I am so stupid. I literally just realised that their teams go together. Xiao Feng is 1Coin and Lu Xiaobei is Continue. You can't continue without one coin...
Oh my god he made them all friendship bracelets. I love him.
Oh my god they were looking for a team video to study strategy and ended up with porn
I am too asexual for this 😂
Wait. WAIT! The evil owner of Gravity is Xu Wei??? DOUBLE BETRAYAL!! I totally didn't recognise him until now.

AITA for calling the "wrong" person on purpose?
I (30's?M) am basically the chief of police in my small, backwater town. Except I don't have so much authority because I'm under the supervision of another guy, whom I hate (40M, call him S). I'm pretty friendly with R (37M), the owner of a saloon in town. I don't know much about him, but he's a funny guy and we go along well.
Recently, an evaded guy (late 30's?M), V, came around because our town is basically the only point of transit to another town that allows people to go through the border basically unchecked.
I told R about that because who am I kidding? Everyone knows R has basically a way for V to leave the town without being stopped. I told R not to help him, and R said V wouldn't need help, since he'd already escaped from everywhere S and his buddies had tried to put him before (that's in another state, that's why I'm saying "S" not "us", i'm not part of the same force as them). I bet 10k bucks with R that V couldn't escape. He wanted to bet 20k bucks but i was like no sorry i may be corrupt but i'm not that rich.
Later, S came to the saloon and asked R if he was going to help V, and R was like "haha no thanks, the only reason i'm rooting for him is because I bet 10k bucks on him but i'm not going to get a record for that yk"
But later, R told me to come because V was at his house and he wanted me to arrest him (turns out V had stolen R's girlfriend years prior?) so he could run away with the girl.
So I went there, and R literally threatened me into calling the border patrol so they'd let all of them pass, because he was on V's side actually. Now, I'm a sentimentalist, and I would have totally been onboard the whole scheme if i'd been in. But R literally bet 10 thousand bucks with me and now he was holding me at gunpoint in order to help V escape! That was so not what sportmanship is!
So I took the phone but instead of calling the border patrol, I called S, and told him, as if calling the border patrol, that we were all coming, V and R and I, to cross the border in an hour. I'm writing this on my way to the airport so idk how it will all go down but anyway:
AITA for calling S instead of the border patrol?
(edit: V was in prison for political reasons, he's not like a violent criminal or anything, that I know)

Some thoughts, a day after defeat.
It's been 24 hours since kickoff and I want to share some thoughts about our loss to the POM's (Prisoners of the Monarchy).
First of all, England have some class players, I don't argue that one bit. However, some of the team played with unnecessary aggression (that kick to the shoulder for example, or that hard tackle in the box) and to me, that took away from those on the team who did show true sportmanship.
I really like when we play England in sports, every encounter we have with them is an encounter where we learn. Regardless of the scoreline. We played and beat them in the Ashes a few weeks back, and their reaction left a bad taste in my mouth. The amount of backlash we got from the british media (looking at you Piers) was childish to say the least, calling foul, throwing cheating accusations and the sorts.
Do I think our recent wins against the Poms in other sports played a part in their aggression towards us last night? Kind of? There was a lot of hype around the match, its a rivalry that goes back to us becoming a federation, even further probably. They wanted revenge for their recent defeats, but part of me feels like they took it too far with the nastiness last night.
Moving away from the Old Man's Desciples for a moment, I want to talk about my Golden Girls. It was a shame Kennedy was out sick last night, she has been a true defender and crucial to the backline the entire tournament, and we definitely felt her absence, as did her teammates.
Holy shit that Sam Kerr goal was just divine! That being said, I also feel like she started before she was fully fit and ready, I don't doubt for a second she could've been a real game changer if she came on as a sub and we kept last weeks lineup (except Alanna for obvious reasons).
HAYLEY RASO, that girl is quickkk. I am always in awe of her speed and fierceness on the ball. She has a rocket in her boots and I'm so annoyed we didnt utilize her more last night. That girl is going to shine at Real Madrid.
Macca, our Minister of Defense. Although 3 goals were conceded, I still trust that girl more than I trust most people. Reminder that goalkeepers arent the only ones protecting goals, thats what defenders are for too, and sadly, they just didnt mesh as well without Alanna.
I'm guttered we didn't make the final, but I'm keen for Saturday night. 3rd or 4th, I'm one proud aussie gal, and I'm excited for the future of the women's game. They've let no one down, and I want them to know that.
Best of luck to my girls on Saturday, and best of luck to Spain on Sunday

Greetings 👋
I've been away from football fandom for >4yrs & had my comeback because of WC, I'm blind and decide to visit your blog to ask you about something,
When Di Maria said on his latest interview regarding to Van Gaal, he said Scaloni never talks bad about the opponent team before the game, or how Messi never disrespects other teams too.
So, was there ever any cases when the Argentine players as the one who provoked first? Like, saying something that sounds so off, pissed / offended the other parties?
Or, was it always their opponents provoked them? Like when Dibu said the Colombian players trashtalked them during the game that led Dibu to say "am gonna eat you up bro" to Yerri Mina, or when Cuti said Mbappe disrespect Enzo that led Cuti to celebrate Messi's goal in front of Mbappe.
It's clear as their fan I only hear the explanation from their side, I simply want to be sure that they are basically a good player with good sportmanship unless someone provoke them.
hello! first of all my answer may not be fully satisfying so i invite anyone to reblog and add your own answer!
look, it is really hard to answer this. first of all, i’m full on argentina's side so i will also only see their side over the opponents, but i think i can gather quite of an objective idea.
firstly, Dibu saying that to the Colombian player, i didn't know Colombian players had spoken before the game. I was a full believer that it was all part of Dibu's game of distracting the kickers with his "mental manipulation". May be wrong, now that i think about it.
what i think of this in general is that it is very hard to find offensive behavior from this specific national team. while having scaloni and aimar in their direction, this team seems to be educated in terms of media communication, and have always maintained a very respectful attitude before the games. you will catch them expressing more personal opinions post-games, like how Dibu and Messi criticized the referee during the game against the Netherlands.
I should check, maybe you will want to do it too, the behavior of previous argentinian football national teams. maybe during Maradona's time or somewhere in between Messi and Maradona's times there were some players who badmouthed other opponents but this current national team seems to carry a complete different mentality, which in my opinion led them to the victory. They focused only on winning and teamwork, and only used their opponents' badmouthing as fuel to win.
again, if anyone wants to add their own answer to the ask, feel free to! this is my quick and current thoughts on the question and maybe i’m not thinking it straight or i need some more research.
i hope this was close to an answer that you deserve!

Alice Marcella vs Ridley Stark. The newcomer against an established talent. No titles, no grudges, but even what looks to be a simple match can have a lot of stake. A newbie trying to make a first good impression, to start off strong in MPW, against an established star who most likely can't afford to lose to a newcomer, at least not without having a good part of the locker room laugh at her.
The two women circled one another, ready for the bell to ring and once it did the two moved in, locking in a collar and elbow, trying to get the upper hand. Alice would be able to push Ridley back into the corner, the referee immediately trying to break it up made Alice step back with her hands raised, showing she was up to no funny business. Ridley on the other hand took the chance to slap Alice across the face as hard as she could, making the crowd gasp and making Alice pretty angry.
Ridley smartly slipped her upper half between the ropes, making the referee force Alice to back off while Stark smirked through the whole thing. Slowly getting herself properly back inside the ring Ridley slowly again approached for a lockup but before they locked up she drove a knee right into Alice's gut and put her in a headlock, the crowd booing at the lack of sportmanship.
She locked in the headlock tight, falling to one knee to try and take her down to the canvas. Getting to one knee was all she got as Alice started firing shots at Ridley's lower back, making her loosen on the hold. However the moment Ridley felt herself about to lose the hold she grabbed onto Alice's hair, bringing her down with a hairpull slam.
Running the ropes Ridley would crash down onto Alice with a Senton before turning her on her stomach, sitting on her back and draping Alice's thighs over her thighs Ridley locked in a classic Camel Clutch.
Alice of course would do her best to resist, refusing to submit and freeing her arm before beginning to crawl over to the ropes as Ridley wrenched hard on the lock. Right as Alice was about to reach the ropes Ridley broke the hold and moved to grab her legs, pulling on them to try and get her into the center of the ring, only for Alice to shift onto her back and kick Ridley right on the chest, sending her stumbling back. That gave Alice enough time to get back on her feet and nail Ridley with a quick Superkick before going for an Enzuigiri that sent Ridley down and had her roll out of the ring to catch a breather.
Against Alice? That was a bad idea, the crowd growing hotter and hyping itself up as Alice started running the ropes, building up speed before taking Ridley down with a Suicide Dive that had the crowd cheering wildly.
With Alice pulling Ridley up to her feet she threw the pseudo Hollywood star right back inside the ring before sliding in herself. Ridley quickly crawled over to the ropes but Alice was faster, catching her by the leg midway through before grabbing her by the head to pull her up.
Ridley didn't feel like losing the upper hand for long, so once she was up she went for the eye rake, making Alice stumble back but not for long as Ridley grabbed her by the hair and began to drive her knees up to the ribs of Alice before grabbing her arm, locking in a Kimura Lock before trying to bring her down to the mat to fully lock it. Alice didn't make it easier, falling to a knee but still managing to stop herself from being taken down to the mat.
"Tap out already loser! I'm trying to look good here!"
Ridley hissed in Alice's ear but try as she might she did not manage to lock in the Kimura all the way so she simply stopped twisting the arm and took Alice down with a Russian Leg Sweep instead.
Still Ridley, was trying to finish this quickly so she moved right onto the apron. Putting her arm up in premature celebration she waited until Alice got back on her feet before launching herself and flipping over the ropes, using the momentum to try and take Alice down for good with what she calls a Premiere Lariat.
Alice however was not going to let this end so easily so as Ridley looked to connect with the Lariat, Alice caught her and took her down with a very clean looking Spanish Fly.
The crowd once again cheered, clearly on the side of Alice. Ridley quickly got back on her feet only to be met with a Dropkick to the chest, then it happened a second time, and finally a third.
The fourth time Ridley got up Alice stood in the corner and charged in, jumping over Ridley's head and landing on her back before hitting her with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb and going for the pin with it.
"ONE!"
"TWO!!"
"THRE-!"
Ridley barely pushed her shoulder at the last second, the crowd frustrated at the fact thinking Alice had that in the back. It was only a milisecond before the three that Ridley kicked out and that's why Alice got a bit frustrated, slapping the mat angrily before once again moving to the corner, trying to stay behind Ridley as the Hollywood girl slowly made her way to her feet, a bit disoriented.
Alice was looking to finish this off with the somersault unprettier and once Ridley was on her feet Alice went for it. Charging out she started somersaulting but before she could drive Ridley's head down for the unprettier Ridley managed to push her off and send her towards the corner.
Alice expertly caught herself before crashing against the corner, quickly turning around and trying to once again regain the advantage and keep the pressure up but as soon as she turned around Ridley caught her with a Hollywood Codebreaker, sending Alice down as Ridley quickly scrambled to hook the leg and get the pinfall.
"ONE!"
"TWO!!"
"THREE!!!"
"HERE'S YOUR WINNER HOLLYWOOD RIDLEY STARK!"

hello, everyone!
we are way over the target of 10 accepted applications, so it is this admin's greatest pleasure to announce our official (re)opening date!
gaenari will open for interactions on thursday, oct 19, at 9pm est.
as per the guidelines, applications will be accepted this week until 8pm est on thursday; any app sent after that will be looked at for acceptances next week.
thank you so much for your interest in this little town. we have received so many reservations and incredible applications in the 10 days we've been in the tags! as gaenari begins to take form, i look forward to all the fun we'll have together.
that said, the main has received several messages wondering about possible plots for this roleplay, so i wanted to touch on a few points:
as a reminder, we have a wanted connections page! everyone can submit one for either accepted muses or general ideas for new characters.
we have a channel on our discord server for interest checks, that everyone can use to try and get a feel of a possible muse or connection! on that note, everyone is welcome in the server, whether you've been accepted to the directory or not.
nearly half of our skeletons are taken! once we hit around 75%, more will be revealed.
lastly: below you can find the remnants of the canon characters i created for gaenari in its first run. this time around, i decided to not go forward with canons and instead let my muns fully shape this town, but i am still very fond of these ideas and i don't want them to go buried in my documents forever. these will not be added to skeletons or subplots in any way, and they are free for everyone to use without permission, in this roleplay or any other. ♡︎
an older sister plagued by ghosts, who spends her days with books and the voices in the forest. a younger sister who used to believe in fairytales, but grew up in resentment to take over the family construction business.
two high school best friends who have known each other their entire lives. the girl is older, handy and practical, and has always liked the boy. the boy is younger, naive and idealistic, and is afraid of losing the girl's friendship. a third friend shows up from the incheon docks, and despite feeling misplaced in this little town he ignites feelings - positive and negative - in the other two.
he was a local baseball star in his youth, but he gave up his career to look after his father who forgot to function without a wife. his first love escaped to seoul without him, and he settled with a fiancée that had always wanted his affections. now, the ex-girlfriend is back in town, and he is not sure if this uneventful life is what he wants anymore.
she is not from here, but the ghosts in the mountain are less terrifying than her father. here, she found love and friendship, and bandmates to play out of local garages. her ex followed her here, and she ultimately enjoys their company when their anger is under control; deep down, however, she fears her father might have also found his way here.
they are wanderers, twin flames that consume one another with each kiss and every touch. they have been through thick and thin, they have assumed many identities, and they have held hands through it all.
these families weren't here from the start, but they settled in right after the mines closed to bring sportmanship to town, and they have been here since. two of the families run rival dojos, and are the best of friends on the side; there are five siblings on one side and four on the other. the third family is made up of four strays from different marriages, united by their bond and creativity. thirteen people total, two marriages in the past five years and another one being planned - there are always strong feelings abound when it comes to them.
she has loved her best friend's brother ever since she laid eyes on him. he has loved her since she first had a sleepover with his sister. they are soft and mellow, and unable to confess, no matter how much everyone around them begs them to get to it. eventually, he is swept off his feet by another, and she watches as he is deceived and played by a woman that has another on the side. she stays quiet until she finds out this other person is her own brother.
