"You really do know how to hold your own, huh?" It's amazing and as well as her finding herself lucky that she is fighting alongside Mika. She couldn't imagine going against her in a battle! Mika would surely win.

Hanabi laughs at Mika's words and shakes her head, "Mika, don't you know that by you saying that, it's going to get worse?" But she doesn't seem bothered or worried. She knows that they'll be able to handle whatever comes their way.

HERE goes.

Hanabi grabs hold of her weapon of choice for this battle and swings it around effortlessly, "Let's go, Mika." And she charges toward her opponents.

"Oh I'm doing peachy still. This isn't really getting me down like anything back at home would. I'm just surprised they have so many people here."

Could it really be possible they had an endless horde of people just waiting to test their mettle against those who were thrown into the arena? It's possible but Mika felt she didn't want to be the one to figure it out when there were just two of them and potentially hundreds of enemies.

"It probably can't get worse...right?"

shouting into my hands as i'm coming to the realization that byan's never really openly talked with anyone about their gender identity... like, they obviously express it in their presentation, make all kinds of jokes about it, and have no problem saying "uh, not a boy" or insisting you use they/them pronouns in reference to them, but?? anything deeper than that?? i don't think they've ever actually put it into words. they identify as nonbinary, but i think the number of times they've actually said the word aloud can be counted on the fingers of one hand.

they're comfortable in their identity and their expression... but not so much in verbally conveying it to others... i think some part of them is actually afraid to do so due to experiences in their past. they're afraid of actively confirming anything because it's always been a little safer to let people speculate than to outright state anything definitive.
