Whats the Drama with Padmavati?

basically some people aren’t too pleased with the fact that Padmavati is being made at all because they’re concerned about how it will be depicted. but the thing is that no one actually really knows anything about the script yet, so there’s no proof that things are getting twisted. 

here’s an article that kind of breaks it down further  (I also suggest talking to @ekpalkajeena about this because the man is like plugged into the bollywood mainframe lol)

basically some people are now signing petitions with their own blood, and Deepika is getting death threats. I totally get pride and sensitivity, but like bruh how can you threaten a person currently in existence’s life over someone who may or may not have existed in the past. 

aaaallllll this from an industry where people can get beat up by 10 billion goons and have a tiny little scratch on their head from it. where basically stalking is seen as romantic???? where people can fly through the air and manage to knock people down without even touching them. 

perceptual and referential realism have never really been bollywood’s forté, so I’m not quite sure why the sudden outrage but like… that kinda sounds like a whole thing that would take much longer to dissect lol

This is awesome! I'm in a movie with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan called Give me One Reason. OH THE DRAMA! OH THE COMEDY! OH THE ROOOOOMANCE!!! BUT BETWEEN WHICH CHARACTERS? Two? None? AAAALLLLLL!!!! (well, you know which way my vote would go.... 😉)

Oh, and I may not be very fond of ANYTHING pre-reboot Archie, but credit where credit is due, Sonic and Sally, despite some tension, remained friends even after breaking up. Good on the writers for not having them hate each other just because their romantic attachments break. There really should be more of that....of course before Flynn came aboard it could've been handled 100 times better, but I digress.

Given aaaallllll the bullcrap that had preceded it, going that route really was the best of possible options for Flynn to follow given just how sick everyone was of the batshit drama.
