God I knew this would happen

Got made redundant just before Christmas, after months of being given nothing to do by the company, despite begging and training and trying to make myself useful. Now I'm useless. It was my grad role opportunity and in 2 years I still don't feel like I know enough to even get the same role elsewhere. I tried to spend idle time learning but it wasn't enough. THEN my prodigal brother returns from a top London job to get several offers and a higher paying job within weeks of returning to the country. My company wouldn't even let me tell people I was leaving.

So it's back to this. Him back to 'help' me by pointing out my every flaw but the added bonus of saying my opinions are naughty bc I might be autistic and therefore don't know what is "usual". Him back to a great job and great friends who he goes camping with for new years before moving out into a flat with them.

And I'm still living at home. Almost no friends. No job. No direction, no motivation. One cat dead before Christmas and the other waiting for an appointment to go because she's got a growth under her tongue, and it's NOT FAIR because we JUST lost Mouse and she is happy and healthy as ever but we still have to kill her at some point but have no idea when is right. And I've got no support from the Great Modern Human Focused company I was booted from, one job lead that might go cold bc it's a family friend connection and that's not ethically sound, and my CV is an embarrassing mess just like I am. I had this stupid idea to make it fun and I KNEW. this would all hit as soon as Christmas was over.

I knew the pit would be waiting so I thought I could jump over rather than in, but I'm too weak for that. I leapt right in, right to the damn bottom, because I AM useless and weak. I'm "weird" and struggle with basic tasks, I claim to be an artist but never make art. I have all the time and opportunity in the world to make something or upskill or add to a UX portfolio I don't have, and I'm just. Lying in bed, making the pillow damp and hoping my parents don't try to get me to eat dinner cos idk if I can. It is pathetic.

My brother and dad and coworkers are right about me. I know nothing, my opinions have no value, I lack awareness and probably have a shit fucked work ethic anyway after months of nothing to do.

I miss Mouse. I need her. I told her that when she was diagnosed but it didn't matter. I was sobbing so hard next to her and she just put a paw on my leg. I begged her not to go and by the end she was so anemic and cold and thin I had to make that call myself. My parents were needing comfort and I was alone. I'm dreading having to face it all over again with Missie. I think hell is just hearing your mother sob in another room.

I know no one who knows me irl will see this. It's probably for the best. I feel like a useless jobless skill less unlovable nobody who will probably never find happiness or someone to care for me after my parents are gone. I'll never make that stupid picture book, or have a career, or dreams. It's just this, and then fog. Nothing I can see. What's the point?

hi! as you might have heard, my good friend sam @bitewounded passed away last week and we wanted to create a place to honor his memory digitally. jen and i made a creative minecraft server (java, 1.20.6) for friends of sam to build things in honor of him and leave notes/stories. people will be able to access the server through august 14th and build whatever they'd like in his honor, but please try to keep things near spawn so that they can be easily accessed. the server will culminate in a memorial ceremony where people will be invited to speak if they wish that will be streamed on twitch (channel tbd) on august 14th, starting at 8pm est/5pm pst. after the memorial, the server will close and the world download will be made available for all of us to remember sam. if you knew sam and would like to participate in this server, please send me a dm with your minecraft username and i'll whitelist you and send you the ip. also, feel free to reblog this post to spread the word. we want to make sure this reaches as many of his friends as possible.

If you know that Dream wanted to take Tubbo's last canon life just to give Tommy an "origin story" (quote taken directly from Dream's mouth) and still think he wasn't in the wrong I don't know what to tell you. Yes Dream knew Tubbo was on his last life. It doesn't matter if he was going to revive Tubbo with the book or not, Dream does not get to decide who lives and who dies, and Tubbo literally hadn't done anything to him. Tubbo showed up to fight Dream because Dream ASKED him and Tommy to come fight him. If you like Dream The Content Creator and wanna make up an au where he isn't evil that's fine idc but c!Dream is canonically a villain. Will felinage be multiplayer, have a chat feature, or be a kind of sandbox game like minecraft or trove? Also, when will it be released/where will it be released, and is it going to be a paid game? Also, if there is a chat feature, will it have censors? One more thing: what camera views will felinage have?

Felineage will be multiplayer, with a chat feature, and will ALSO be sort of sandbox-ish! Not quite as much as Minecraft, but there will be some sandbox crafting mechanics for creating dens and other structures, claiming territory, etc. The release date is still TBD, as we are still in very early development! The game will likely be released on Steam as well as, potentially, standalone on our own website, and yes, it will be a paid game due to its massive scale and how expensive it is to run massive multiplayer servers. As for censors, there most likely will be some form of censors, at least for things such as slurs etc, as well as an optional censor for swearing etc. similar to how World of Warcraft functions.

Alright, folks, we’re within 50 followers to reach 2k, so here goes.

I’m planning on doing a stream to celebrate 2k followers, y’all get to suggest games for me to play on stream.

This is your chance to do so; when we hit 1980 followers (or 1985, depending how fast that happens), I’ll close suggestions and open a poll for voting that’ll remain open until 2k, at which point I’ll schedule a stream at some point. No, I have no estimate for how long it will take us to get there. (If you’re for some reason considering trying to get me there faster with burner accounts, don’t bother; blank accounts with nothing on them are regarded as bots and get blocked on sight.)

This stream will run for a minimum time (TBD) and then will be “until I’m bored and/or out of energy”, so I’m not sure exactly how long it will last, but probably at least a few hours (depending on what game y’all end up picking; some of them get boring and/or drain my energy faster than others).

Current options (please do not re-suggest these unless you have a more specific idea for one of them) include:

- Golden Treasure: The Great Green: a game about living life as a dragon by an indie studio, made by a dragon. I’ve already finished all four runs, so we won’t be acquiring tarot cards or anything, but I wouldn’t mind playing it again, and I’d probably allow chat to decide which ending we aim for. It’s an excellent game, but I don’t know how good it is to watch on stream.

- The Isle: a popular dinosaur survival game. I play on a realism roleplay server, and I would probably start an apex because they’re solitary, but I would probably allow people to vote on which dinosaur (out of a small selection) I play (ahead of time, because some of them will require me to get an injection, which can take a while depending how busy server staff is). The major downside to this is that the Isle can get kind of boring when you’re playing alone, and it’ll probably be one of the shorter streams because of that.

- Minecraft: y’all know the block game. There’s a few options within this one, including server minigames, survival games, and me just trying to beat the game (I’ve never actually done that, so). (If you want to suggest a specific server/minigame for me to play, you can do that now.)

- Star Wars: The Old Republic: I’m guessing no one will vote for this, but it’s my current hyperfixation, so it’s going on here anyway as an option. On the bright side, you guys would get complete or almost-complete control of the dialogue wheel and choices my new character will make, as well as getting to vote on which storyline we play (including voting for skipping to KOTFE); you get to listen to me yell at NPCs and geek out about my hyperfixation for however long this lasts. This also has the potential to be one of the longest-lasting streams, because I can potentially play SWTOR for a very long time before getting tired of it.

- Portal 1 and/or 2: We will finish at least one of these games; if we start with Portal, we almost definitely will not finish Portal 2 because I’ll run out of energy before we do so, so if y’all want to see Portal 2 all the way through you’ll have to vote for starting with that when the poll opens. They’re just very good games and I like them a lot.

- Spore: An oldie but a goodie. I’ll promise we’ll finish creature stage; beyond that I make no promises because that’s where the game gets boring for me.
