THE BIG FIND 2023: Day 9

The Big Find is a 10-day long Drarry fic-finding marathon to celebrate the blog’s anniversary. Below is the Day 9 compilation of lost fics, both old and new, that we’ve been unable to find. Our aim is to get as much attention to these lost fics as possible, to help people finally find their missing fics! Anyone can participate by reblogging, reading through each list, providing additional fic details, and informing us the title, author, or link of a fic, and their respective number in the comment section. Happy finding!

9.1 i’ve read this explicit fic once on ao3. honestly I barely remember anything except for draco saying “ah there’s my pretty cock” or something when he saw harry’s dick (im sorry for the words), they were about to have sex, and I think they’ve got an established relationship already.

9.2 Draco is sort of an assistant around Hogwarts, post-war, and Harry recently started teaching there. And Hagrid tells Harry about how Draco was really subdued because he was tortured and found in the forest or something, and Harry decides to try talk to him more. I think there’s a part where Harry goes to Draco’s class and he startles him and he dropped some potions, and panicked. It’s on ao3 I think, no more than 50k.

9.3 i was looking for a fic where they’re both Aurors and friends, working on a case. i read it 2-3 years ago and all i remember is one specific scene where they were at draco’s apartment on a couch and he was pining and thinks it would be easier to deal with his feelings if they were entirely physical, but they’re not because harry is in his pyjamas. harry also makes him tea in his house a lot. i think it was on the shorter side? probably not over 90k.

9.4 I’m looking for a fic where hp is finally gaining confidence in 4th yr and accidentally meets dm through the qddwrldcup as well as his younger sister he then meets him again in hogwarts as he is a very intelligent student who is recommended by the pres/headmistress. i dont recall anything else except Sirius and Remus were in hp’s life, hp and dm spent some time 2gther in the forest to heal his sis and himself. they liked eachother from that first meeting but more of a crush. I think dm’s younger sister was called Lyra, hp spoke to bill weasley and got a snake earring from him, I remember moonlight or something moon in the title. Fic is not double trouble by babythelady

9.5 im looking for a creature fic where draco is taken into a elf/veela village with severus as his mother and he has half-brother drake malfoy. harry is VERY interested in draco and he is a creature too but icr what. ik draco was very controlled of his emotions but harry always teased him to make him blush. there was also non-con with his step-bro drake and karkaroff i think and cissy was a bitch in this story.

9.6 Searching for a fic I read on ao3. I don’t recall if there was specific year they were in or if it was a multi year fic, but they were still in their Hogwarts years. Draco was fully helping them. I think Sirius and Remus were there and together, but I could be remembering wrong. A huge battle, I think the final one, went down on the ground of Malfoy Manor. Snape revealed himself as a spy to Voldemort in the battle, facing him himself.

9.7 So the fic I’m looking for is a multi chapter fic where Draco is pregnant and he stays with the golden trio and I think that they (H and D) redecorated the place. Harry and Draco have a fight Draco tries to put a newborn scorpius to bed but he keeps crying for harry so harry comforts Draco and Scorpius, and Draco says he’s a bad dad and harry reassures him. Harry wakes up to Scorpius calling him dada (I think) and finds out that Draco, Ron and Hermione have been teaching scorpius to say that.

9.8 pretty sure it was on fanfiction.net but it’s possible that it was transferred to wattpad. It is complete and I’m pretty sure it had chapters. It’s an au set at Hogwarts in fifth year (no umbridge) where Harry and Draco are mind linked because of a bad mix of spells on the train home at the end of fourth year. Draco’s been having dreams that he consistently dies in while Harry is there. They learn that they’re connected and start talking to each other in their dreams and in their minds during school. snape is his godfather and tries to find potions to help him but doesn’t not know that Harry is apart of it. I remember it being very specific about one potion tasting like raspberries. Draco gets into a few fights with an older bigoted Slytherin and it is a known fact in this fic that he does not respond well to magical healing. He also claims that Harry is stalking him and then is made fun of for being paranoid. It also gets found out that Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred and George cursed Draco and his friends on the train the pervious year and are brought to Dumbledores office with Snape and McGonagall. Draco’s parents are super protective and they as well as snape set up something called SASHA which is to help slytherins who don’t want to participate in the second wizard if war to safe harbors. They drug the food in the middle of the night and remove the students who signed up. Blaise stays behind to be with Draco but most other named Slytherins from the books leave. Draco and Harry have a falling out over this. Sirius and Remus are boyfriends in this but are very minor characters and I don’t think are listed as a pairing although it’s implied in the fic. Dumbledore is blatantly evil as is mad eye moody and is trying to find out where the missing kids are. Draco is kidnapped and is severely injured. Harry wants to help find him but is told that he’s done enough and is put back to sleep. Remus tries to advocate for dumbledore to help find him by saying that when Remus taught him he was a really bright kid and Dumbledore brushes him off and says something along the lines of ‘we can’t save every kid, if he comes back alive we welcome him with open arms, if not…’ and Remus and Sirius are dumbfounded. Remus and Sirius break in to the hospital wing after the malfoys show up and have Harry talk to Draco through their connection to find out where he is. Narcisa is wildly powerful and finds him somewhere out of the country (I think New York, it was something on a license plate). He gets brought back and everything’s alright. Then it’s revealed that Dumbledore planned the kidnapping.

9.9 Drarry adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” or “What You Will”. I’m not sure if the author actually mentions it but I remember thinking that when reading it. The Twins are Draco and Luna, but they aren’t actually twins in this fic, they are strangers that just met that looks alike. Even down to their butt because I remember a funny conversation about one being the model for a butt pad and the other wearing it. The plane or some kind of transportation they met on crashes. Harry is like Duke Orsini in which he is trying to woo someone (I can’t remember who) with the help of Draco who I think is amnesiac. It gets fuzzy from there, but cue lots of mistaken identity hijinks. I think Blaise is that old friend that keeps harassing Draco to get something back.

9.10 Harry is DADA Professor at Hogwarts. He goes by Evans instead of Potter. He also doesn’t look like Harry Potter. Most of the school doesn’t know he is really Harry Potter. McGonagall knows his true identity as well as Teddy. I don’t remember who else knows. Teddy is a first year and he becomes friends with Draco Malfoy’s son. I don’t remember if his name is Scorpius or if it was something else. I also don’t remember which house they were sorted into. I think it was Gryffindor. I do know they are in the same house. Harry is Scorpius father but he doesn’t know it at first. Scorpius doesn’t know who is other father is but he knows what he looks like because he has a picture of him that he got from Draco. I have been looking for this story for a couple of years. I worry it has been deleted. I read it on fanfiction.net or a03

9.11 Sirius rescues Harry from Dursleys as a toddler and raises him? Harry and Draco become best friends (so adorable) and James and Lily are ghosts in the fic (ig?) . Also there’s a scene where they play pretend house where Harry is dad Draco is mom and Ron their dog? I think Pansy is the daughter.

9.12 looking for a fic that had a young harry and a death draco. it had gentleman in the title (i think it was the death gentlemen something). gloves and hand holding play an important role in the story. i think death draco leaves harry for a bit and they meet up again later

9.13 just remembered this fic i read a long time ago. i can’t remember if it was in ao3 or wattpad. it was set post hogwarts. harry is at least partly raising teddy and is lonely. he ends up finding draco and draco runs a center for lgbtq+ witches and wizards. a few former teachers are in it. teddy is struggling and thinks he is trans but isn’t sure but one day at the park wants to wear i think a dress, if it wasn’t a dress it was feminine presenting and other parents and kids make fun of him so harry immediately brings him to the center and everybody makes him feel better. obviously drarry gets together. there is also a pride-esqe thing that happens.

9.14 It’s about after the war, Harry and Ginny split up so he lives in a house which is attached to one side of the forbidden forest. One day, he meets Draco in the forest, keeps going back to talk with him, and falls in love. Draco later takes Harry to a lake and reveals that he’s committed suicide and was not real (a ghost maybe). It then ended with Harry committing suicide to be with him by also drowning in the lake.

Is your rewrite exactly how you see eah? Like everyone ship, character arc etc? Or are there things that you personally don’t ship/believe but added it in cuz it makes sense plot wise? Or are there things that you like but didn’t add in because it doesn’t make sense with your story building?

at this point !!!!! eah:rir is nearly precisely how i see eah. which MAY b wild seeing just how much things will diverge from Canon canon in future, but i say i am just trying 2 take the story along its most logically and emotionally fulfilling path still with all the lovely framing of the books and specials :] HOWEVER.. i HAVE had 2 axe a few characters that i do still consider a part of eah and have headcanons for!! like meeshell, nina, melody.... perhaps they will turn up later but for now they are functionally non-existent in the story!!! i still think of them as real characters though.. they just cant come to the phone rn....

as for ships, i am NAWT a big shipper by any means, mostly just battin characters around occasionally and going hm what would happen if they got 2gther hmmm interesting 🤔 and usually it goes no further than that [with the seemingly random exception of dizzie O___O; they render me lunatic].. but!!!! people like ships and seeing characters get together and be together and some ships like huntlynn are integral 2 the plot generally so i knew i had to get some solid ships into the mix!!!! and i decided i would just do the best with them that i could. i settled on the Canon [Or Close Enough] Big Three: dexven, huntlynn and dappling [though i initially felt absolutely nothing towards huntlynn, thought dexven was cute in passing and was lukewarm overall to the execution nd sentiment of dappling. still, writing huntlynn turned out to be MASSIVE fun and i am having a grand old time coming up w the dexven and dappling plots :} ]

dizzie has , thus, become a weird limbo ship that i ADORE and genuinely consider some articulation of canon, but will likely never make an appearance in rir beyond ??? maybe some fourth wall-y hints because i probably wont be able 2 resist.... OR maybe my willpower will wear 2 nothing over the coming months and i'll put it in for a treat !!!!!! WHO is to say......

I walked sexily into the Great Hall. It was empty except for one person. Richard was there!! He sat der in deddly bloom in his blak 666 t-shirt and his baggy blak pants. He had slit his wrists!!!!!111 I felt mad at him for having sexwith Snape but I felt sorry for him. He looked just like Gerard Way with his red eyes and his pale white face.

“Richard are you okay????” I asked.

“I’m not okay.” he screamed depressedly. I thought of the MCR song nd I got even more depressed koz that song always makes me cry. I gave him a pot cigarette and he started to smoke it. Clearly showing that I know about drugs

“Oh Richard why did you do it with that fucking bastard Snape?” I asked teardully.

“I-” Draco began to say but suddenly Lupin and Mr. Norris appearated in2 da room!! They didn’t see us.

“Im so glad we me and Snape were freed.” said Loopin.

“Dam, this job would be great if it wasn’t 4 da fukking students!” Mr. Norris argreed. "I mean, meow"

“Pop addelum!!!!!111” I yielded angrily pointing my wand at them. A rain of papadums started. "Whoops, wrong spell"

“Noooooooo!!!!1” Lupin shouted as chains came on him. Mr. Norris ran away.

“You fukking perv.” I said laughing wiv depths of evil and depressedness in my voice. “Now u have 2 tell us where Voldimort is or I’m gong 2 torture u!!!!”

“I don’t now where he is!!!!1111” said Loopin. Suddenly Satan and Vampire ran in2 da room. Vampir didn’t know who Satan was really.

“Oh my satan, we were so worried about u guys!!1” Vampire said. I looked sexily at Richard with his goffik red eyes with contacts, blak t-shirt that said 666 on it and pale skin like Gerord Way, Vampir with his sexy blak hair and red eyes just like Frank Iero and Satan who looked jist like Brandan Urie then.

I selectively took the caramel from my pocket. And then….. I began frenching Richard sexily. Loopin gasped. Richard began to take all of his cloves off and I could see his white sex-pack. Then Vampire took his own clotes off too. We all began making out 2gther sexily. I took off my blak leather bra, my blak lace thong and the rest of my clothes. Feel free 2 yell @ me if this is weird or otherwise bad, but I need an impartialjudge and none of my friends wanna say anything.

But I have a spy OC and a scout OC who r on the same OC team 2gether. They r unrelated, and could actualy have an intersting dynamic if shipped 2gther.

Problem is, i'm scared that if I make them a ship ppl will think I condone canom Spy x canpn Scout, or insest shipping in general, which i absolutely do not.

Honestly in my opinion, there's not really any reason to do this LMAO. Like I understand having tf2 ocs who are distinct from the original characters, but there's a general problem with these kinds of fandom ocs, which is that they're rather difficult to separate from the original property for a lot of people. I also have known of quite a few people who have used the "noooo they're not related they're my ocs!" thing to justify doing the spyscout incest thing, which isn't what I'm implying you're doing but it is an implication you need to be aware of. Overall I will break my advice (which u don't need to take lol I'm just some guy) into a couple suggestions:

Accept that there are going to be Implications(tm) that you will need to explain very often if you insist on shipping your Scout oc and your Spy oc together, regardless of how unrelated they are. This is a pain to have to do, but if you do it enough times it would probably get people off your back and after a while people would get used to it

Explore the dynamic between these two characters in a non-romantic setting. There are other kinds of relationships besides just romantic ones and you can still get an interesting dynamic with a platonic friendship

Break the characters away from being tf2 ocs. Fandom ocs are fun, don't get me wrong, but this is one of those instances where having your original characters that you created be tied to someone else's story can start becoming a crutch. The tf2 world and concept is a very fun one to create characters for, but it's not the only way! Sometimes it's nice to have characters who are completely yours and whose world is completely yours as well. I love fandom ocs but I recommend this to a lot of people with fandom ocs pretty often, because once the characters start to turn into something more significant for them, being shackled to the original property can stop being fun and just start to get annoying (some of my most significant original characters actually started as ocs for the dead MMO Fer.al! Once Fer.al shut down tho it encouraged me to break them away a bit more from just being "Fer.al fan ocs". There's still lots of inspiration from that game in them and their story and their world, but I get to explore original stuff too which is fun)

my review on 2gther and still 2gether the series (spoilers?? kind of)

what i love most about this show is the storyline/plot, i really wasn’t expecting it to take a turn like that, i think this show has a lot of adorable moments before they even got to be official, lets go back to the storyline, i LOVED IT, words can’t express how much i love shows like that, even though it’s not really common (or at least i have never watched shows with that kind of plot)

Now this show did get major backlash and was called ‘the most heterosexual BL’?? and i’m not really aware of the reason why but from what i have heard it was because of the lack of kisses? (please correct me if i’m wrong) and if that was the reason then i would have to disagree because i don’t feel like they need to kiss for it to be a great show, but if the backlash was because of that high-five at the end then i would have to agree with you💀 it really wasn’t a great idea GMMTV😃🤚🏻

still 2gether was absolutely adorable (and we do get a kiss at the end) i hated seeing them ‘suffer’ without each other but i loved seeing them miss each other and try to be patient, i loved everything about still 2gether (also sarawat please leave tine’s boobs alone)

i liked it and i would totally recommend it to the people that haven’t watched it or have yet to watch it:)

Today with J9

The boys were still up at 1AM in the morning and Nine liked a tweet that said his goal this year was not to die. Same. I think that is pretty much everyone’s goal.  The next they came online, Nine posted an IGstory in which Joong had made Nine lunch. The caption being ‘You’re a Chef/Chef Joong’. I guess they had a lazy morning in as Nine was still in bed. It wasn’t a pyjama day though, since Joong posted an IG picture of a song they were singing later on. x  It’s the song Bright sings in 2gther the series. Joong practised the song on the guitar to the point his hand was hurting, but he posted a little bit of it on his Twitter later in the evening x. he will try to learn the whole song and then sing it for us! Lucky us! Joong also posted that he accidentally left a lot of comments on IG everywhere because his phone was on whilst in his bag and it didn’t lock.  

other news:  It’s April fools day, so if you are on twitter or IG, please read the url of your posts, likes and retweets. Lots of people in the fandom are pretending to the boys for one day. You’ve been warned ^^.

oh yea!! recs i've only seen TOL, 2gther, Gifted, Shipper(this is one weird ass show), and currently watching I'm tee, me too in thai do u have other recs?? oh and btw if you're watching FOE i gotta say that the good things are the male lead, female lead, the daughter, the romance, the pacing, the direction; the plot is good but kinda weird (but hey it's a kdrama), bad: the villain is unrealistic and tropey (3)

hmmm for show recs i would... ironically say dark blue kiss (i haven’t seen kiss me again or kiss the series but from what i know those are the happier parts of the ‘franchise’... don’t ask why i only watched dbk i don’t know HKJDHGJ). i watched it before i knew new is an asshole and anyway i got really attached to the side pairing, and all the female characters are honestly written so well! i fucking love the little group that is sun, mork, rain and manaow they’re literally the BEST. now the main plotline is honestly annoying and i skipped petekao’s scenes a lot but i love the “antagonist”... like he’s a troubled kid and does very bad things but i understand him and i just fhdfkgjh feel bad for him. khai formated my brain to feel bad for assholes

i also like until we meet again though it gets slow in the last few episodes until the last two, and also HUGE trigger warning for reccurring pretty graphic double suicide... i love the show but it could’ve done well without that many gunshots =_=. it’s super sad but also super feel good i find, all the characters are endearing as hell and there isn’t really a conflict between the characters except in the second to last episode - but like... if you watch you’ll understand what i mean dnsjkfh

i haven’t seen it yet but i really want to watch my engineer, i heard good things about it so i figure i could recommend it.....?? honestly i mostly want to watch it bc lay talay is super pretty but <3 i’m sure the show is great <3

love by chance is another show i liked tho do NOT watch the last ep of s1 i am begging. do not watch it. for ur sake. also the second season is airing rn and i haven’t started watching it yet but according to what i see on the dash the side pairing is going a LOT better than in s1 !! also warning for like, assault and blackmail :|, rare are the shows that don’t need warnings

and ooooh wait the stranded!! since you’ve seen foe which i think is on netflix i assume you can watch the stranded too!! it’s REALLY good and we Need a second season like yesterday. ummm PEOPLE DIE. and it’s kind of gross sometimes. also super sad as hell and it ruins u. but the show is AMAZING it has only 7 eps but like Holy Fuck i love this show so much. the antagonist is a loser but like that’s fine we can bully him

i’d recommend the untamed but that shit is LONG and i’m sure u’ve already heard of it fhdkjgh. if u want to watch HIStory the series, uhhh i’ve heard trapped is really good? make our days count was great but once again do not watch the last ep (bury your gays trope). i also ignore the side pairing bc not knowing the older dude’s age makes me want to Die. i really just have xiang haoting & yu xigu on the brain 24/7 this show gave me “i need a boyfriend” brainrot and i can’t get it to leave me alone

Ummm i NEED to watch mr heart and where your eyes linger so i’m telling you to watch them too dhskfhdkjg. ik wyel ended well so i’m like... crying everyday i don’t watch it (and yet i still don’t bc adhd says No <3). i also want to watch the king: eternal monarch but that’s exclusively bc woo dohwan is hot. my brain is out of recommendations for now so have all of this (and do not watch waterboyy or tharntype)

... anyway back to FOE <3 tropey villain... ah well i guess this had to be hdskjhgk. still i think i’m going to check it out even if the wife is a cop :/ everyone on here obsesses over criminal minds i can allow myself one (1) copaganda. i’m sure the daughter makes up for it i love kids sm
