StarkerFestival's Extended AUpril!!

Hello everyone! Thank you to all the participants that joined us for our Valentine's Day exchange! We still have a few posts we're waiting on to close the event and once we have everything collected, we'll have a master post for the gifts.

Meanwhile– Us mods are extremely excited to announce our newest event! We are calling it Extended AUpril, and I believe we may have done something similar in the past.

For AUpril, we have made 2 community 4x4 bingos. The bingos will last all three months, and are light and dark themed. (Note: The prompts are themed this way. You do not have to do angst for dark prompts and fluff for light prompts. Feel free to be as creative as you want!)

Duration: This event will start today and last until the end of May.

Reminder: There is no obligation for these community bingos. Do them all, do exactly one prompt--it's completely up to you! Just make sure to tag properly.

Other Events:

March - There will be a list of 7 prompts dedicated to Omegaverse week (info post will be tomorrow). While it is a 'week,' this event will last the entire month of March.

May - Mer-May week to be posted in May! Again, although it is a week's worth of themed prompts, it will last the entire month of May.

We will be hosting the first ever Littles Are Known Starker Bingo event to indulge all our Littles or CGs in our close knit fandom! We are extremely excited for this event and we hope to see creators expand their horizons and explore the wonders of Little Space.

Hello! Welcome to Peter Parker's Birthday Bash Bingo, a creative fandom event for our favorite Spidey! No sign-ups for this event, just fun! There are two (2) cards (found below), one sfw and one nsfw. You can do one card or both! All ships are welcome.

One work per square and it must be a new work, this does include a new chapter of a WIP or new part of an ongoing series! Anything created prior to the start of this event can not count for a square on your card, however. Welcome to Marvelous Yahtzee! An all-inclusive Marvel event inspired by the classic dice-rolling game! Roll the Dice and see what they have in store!

General Info:

Inspired by Yahtzee, every participant will receive a blank score sheet with their username.[Sign-Up Here] Roll the dice using [this] online dice roller (or your own IRL dice!) and pick your prompts from the provided lists based on the die you rolled.

Sign Up's Open- June 24th

Start Date- July 1st

End Date- December 31st

Rules:

You can roll the dice three times per "turn" to get the desired dice you want for the line you are attempting to fill. (ie. Rolling three times for a Full House or a Yahtzee!)

Using the prompt lists, fill in the scorecard line that you would like to use that dice roll on.

You can mix SFW and NSFW prompts, and you may use any prompt up to four times.

Create one fill using all of the prompts chosen for that scorecard line. (It's up to you whether this is a one-shot, a chaptered fic, a new chapter of a current WIP or a mood board! So long as all the words are contained in a single new creation.)

Is it slate? With the outside getting darker and darker, the warm air breezing in, the bracelet wrap looks like midnight remembering something it forgot at twilight. The clasp might as well be a mini solar flare in the dim of the spaceship's cockpit, and Tony tries and fails to recall the last time he bought something that wasn’t a self-indulgent binge that tends to accompany a close call and normally ends up with Peter muttering, “You shouldn't have.” Tony didn’t buy him this. He could have; it’s tasteful, not blinding like some gaudy, gem-encrusted monstrosity. It doesn't scream look at me, I'm worth more than your car. Instead, it whispers, look closer.

The Narrator's perspective only gets more horrifying the longer you think about it. Like, imagine being an Echo of yourself—one of many, all made to serve a very particular purpose and knowingly living on borrowed time, if 'living' is even the right word for your current state of pseudo-existence.

You've inherited the mission of a dead man—it's literally the only thing left that you can do before fading, so you sure as hell better believe in it; the alternative would be unbearable. Only you keep failing. With every loop that you don't remember, your lack of agency in this situation becomes starker—you can influence small things, sure, but it becomes increasingly clear that you have no real power, no matter how personally invested you are in the events unfolding in front of you. You are, after all, only an Echo. You've forfeited the right to meaningfully engage with the world.

Worse—every loop you're made aware of is another time you've failed, with unimaginable consequences, though you had no control over these previous iterations of yourself and can't even learn from their mistakes. Everyone around you is operating on a shared perception of reality that you are not part of, will never be part of. After a few repetitions, you are, ironically, the least informed person in the room. All you have left to go on is an evidently outdated script. At the same time, everyone else is experiencing a contiguous version of you, comprised of parts that are, in some sense, also you, while at the same time existing at a complete remove from your current perception of self. Whatever you don't know you did—that's you now. You are, after all, only an Echo. You've forfeited the right to define your own identity, never mind know what it is.

Even worse—this has trapped you within a stagnant hell of your own creation. Nothing you say or do really matters in terms of your own self (the rest of the world is a separate issue entirely). Anything you've come to believe—say, for totally hypothetical example, that you were wrong actually and your envisioned paradise is really a hell beyond any you had the capacity to envision—has about as much permanence as a drawing in the sand. 'You' will continue, exactly as you were, no matter how much you might like to change your behavior. Every possible future has already been set in stone. You are, after all, only an Echo. You've forfeited the right to say anything you haven't already said.

For some reason, no part of any of this has made you feel more comfortable and at peace with the general concept of finality.

The really, truly absolute worst part, though?

There is no one for you to blame but yourself. And that's exactly what turns your story into such a tragedy.

Thinking about Peter watching Tony’s “I am Iron Man” press conference live when he’s just a kid, and from there being absolutely obsessed with Tony. Watching every interview, buying every magazine and piece of merch available, even making his own. Running fan pages on every social media website. The ultimate fanboy. And then he gets to meet Tony in his bedroom (officially because Tony saved him at the Stark Expo already). He carries the torch for Mr. Stark all throughout his teens, savouring every phone call and appearance and unlocked feature in his Spider-Man suits, still consuming every piece of Tony-related media. He doesn’t think he has a chance in hell of ever being with Tony for real, so he doesn’t even entertain it except in his fantasies.

Meanwhile, Tony has had eyes on Peter well before he ever recruited him. He’s obsessed and keeps a close eye on Peter through all of his protocols and via Happy (and surveillance cameras around the city which are all too easy to hack). And he has a few (several) Spider-Man gadgets himself because he’s Tony and outlandish and cute, and he loves his toys… And he’s not blind to the crush Peter has, but he doesn’t think he could ever be with him because he’s nothing but a washed up old man and a nervous wreck underneath his celebrity persona.

Anyways, they’re both wrong, and they end up together and Tony adores how obsessed Peter is. (The fan pages get updated a lot less frequently because Peter has no time to be online now that he has the real thing…) And it drives Peter wild when Tony shows him how long he’s been watching him and how long he’s wanted him and resisted.

As the personal page to the great Knight Stark, general of His majesties army and hero of the realm, Peter had many tasks assigned to him. From grooming his masters horse and taking care of the knights weapons. All were tasks Peter took great deal of pleasure in performing for Sir Stark as the man was not just the realm's her but Peter's personal one too. Ever since the man saved his life when he was but a child and Peter swore he would do anything to serve the older man. Even helping to warm his bed.

Don’t mind us, we’re just OBSESSED with this prompt: Okay so I’ve never submitted a prompt to an ao3 event before but this is the kind of fic idea that I had, but I don’t really see myself actually writing. So, Peter confesses his love to Tony, and even though Tony loves him back and doesn’t want to reject him, he tells him that they wouldn’t work out bc his life is such a mess and he’s not, like, a stable human being. There’s some mutual pining until Peter finally becomes upset with him and Tony admits that {if canon, the palladium poisoning is back; if AU, he has cancer/choose your own TI} and it’s definitely going to kill him; he’s already tried everything (maybe he’s been working closely with Strange?) and there is no science nor magic that can stop it. (“I am going to die,” he says, hard and final. Peter’s entire existence comes to a blinding, screeching halt.) He won’t die right away, and he explains that’s he’s been keeping up with the press and he thinks he can draw it out so that he goes as quietly as possible. In reality, as these things often go, he’ll get sicker gradually at first and then suddenly, all at once. He explains that he can’t put Peter through that, that he can’t start a relationship with him and benefit from his love and support knowing that he’s just going to die and leave Peter alone. There’s also obviously prime real estate for “You should be with someone your own age so you can live your life” insecurities. This can be an AU if you’d like, or not, I’ll love it either way. I didn’t originally write this idea as smut-driven but I’m interested to see where it goes. Confessions of love/commitment like Peter saying, You don’t have to be alone, you know?” and then heavy petting while chanting things like “I’ll take care of you,” “I’m here,” and such could help too.
