I'm going to do some more research into this before making a big post about it because I don't want to spread misinformation or baseless speculation. but I just gotta say, for now, that it is really quite messed up that athletes essentially do not have HIPAA rights and that the sports betting machine is a major reason their medical information is disseminated to the public. this means that the ethical determinations for a player's medical information relies on individuals who are working in a company that has conflicting interests to the player's rights and health. and that's not even getting into having conflicts with your medical treatment.

this is happening in a league that is still back boarding with restraints anyone who gets a potential C-SPINE complication on the ice which. lol. EMS does not do anymore because it causes more harm than good.

I would be really curious if hockey sports medicine people are still icing injuries, which is out of favor because it doesn't do anything to help besides surface pain relief and can be detrimental to healing. if anyone sees that and thinks to let me know, I would super appreciate it.

You know. Thinking about it, the best thing the anime did for Tsumugi was give her professional attire. Like the clothes she wears on the CGs we see her in are cute, but I really think she looks best in the formal business style

There are works which are not [genre] but works made that have read a lot of [genre]. YJ is not an anime but it is a cartoon that has watched a lot of anime. MTMTE is not a comedy but it is a space opera that has watched a lot of sitcoms. I’d like to learn the term for a work that is deep in conversation with a genre without belonging to that genre even as a hybrid. Specifically works that address, lampshade, satirize, employ genre signposts without obeying genre conventions.

i know that a majority of the characters in aftg with visible scars and injuries don’t necessarily have permanent or chronic injuries but it’s a nice change of pace to see fan art depict injuries and scars across the board. comics really shy away from characters being visibly hurt for longer than the story “requires” or showing past physical trauma outside of one off moments and it’s especially wild that characters so reliant on physical fitness aren’t regularly depicted with tools to aid in the upkeep of that. both in canon and in fanon??? for something with a plot as outlandish as cape comics it’s so refreshing to see scars and kt tape and braces be a mainstay in aftg fanwork. love u recovery devices. love u body maintenance tools. love u sports medicine
