Russian Soviet artist Boris Mikhailovich Lavrenko (1920-2001). Born in Rostov-on-Don, studied at the Rostov Art College. He went through the whole war from the first day, an order bearer. In 1952 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. E. Repin, where he later taught for many years, was his professor.

Outstanding Russian Soviet painter Edward Yakovlevich Vyrzhikovsky (1928-2008). Lived and worked in Leningrad - St. Petersburg. He graduated from the Secondary Art School at the Academy of Arts of the USSR in Leningrad, and then the painting department of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. E. Repin. He left a rich creative heritage, his paintings are in many museums and private collections in our country and abroad.
