mental illness, specifically mental illness Associated With Trauma, specifically trauma Associated With Superpowers. i love this i think it is fascinating it is Fun for me and also it makes me very sad. i think the horror and the love and the compassion and the terror should all coalesce to make you go Ouch. i think the thing that makes you different/important/Special is more often than not a curse and that it’s fun to explore that. can i please get some cheers from the Insane girlies

kind of sharp, snappy language? i don’t like to slow down the narrative too much even with more verbose characters like lucienne. i get antsy about this actually if i’m reading through and Individual Words are fucking with the pace y’know. for erotica i try to let the prose get really disjointed like, it’s just base sensory input, the heat of the moment stealing all the finesse from the narration. i also use some pretty blunt, perhaps uncharacteristic language, but that’s because it’s what’s Sexy, okay.

i focus a lot on body language, especially stuff with hands and facial expressions and posture. when i write i’m, like, watching the scene in my head? and i guess that’s what i pay most attention to in conversations. if you notice me using the same fucking adjectives every two seconds no you don’t. i can get away with that in porn though there’s only so many sexy words. also i’m just…… not good at writing Things Happening and i don’t especially care to write Things Happening because Things Happen plenty in the source material i just want everybody to sit down and Talk about the Things That Have Happened. now that i say this though a whole bunch of shit happened in “i want to be well” huh? i am an unreliable narrator

dialogue is The Most Important Part to me. i THINK but i’m not CERTAIN that i have a bad habit of making characters talk like me? sometimes? in cadence and in word choice and in humor. i think. but also i’m just simply trying to make characters talk and act Like Real People and i am ostensibly a real person so. matthew’s dialogue in particular is so easy for me to write because i just decided to let him sound like me irl. based of me if i do say so myself. also i KNOW people get on me about making dream too open/nice/agreeable but i stand by literally everything i’ve ever had him say.

relationships that are very old and very deep and that are fundamental aspects of characters’ identities. i really don’t like... care, especially, about meet-cutes or whatever. i care about when two people are so Part Of Each Other that severing them is severing a major artery like <3 lol <3 and obviously this goes for familial relationships romantic relationships fraternal relationships i really don’t care as long as it’s Interesting. this is what was SO fucking funny to me about “i want to be well” because i do not care about klave. so it’s listed as a klave fic with like the least klave focus imaginable. anyway. i love love i love empathy i love Understanding and Accepting and i love when it can lead to healing and i also love when it can’t :)

You had packed plenty of snacks, water, and Natalie’s juice for the beach. You had spent most of the day there and she was getting exhausted. She was sat on Angels lap on the beach towel drinking her water when she started fidgeting.

You cared for her, for her dad, those around you. You were gentle and patient and kind. You loved her. She loved you. Angel also knew that you didn’t ask for the baggage of acting as someone’s mom, but at the same time if there was any possibility of you being part of Angels life in more ways than just his nanny, this is what it was.

aw thank you! yeah sure, i don't speak for everyone but i do know that everyone has different experiences. different thoughts. different way of thinking. different feelings. different capabilities. different characters. different inabilities. introverts, extroverts. so there's never a fix reason on why some have difficulty in communicating. theres so many reason. soo so so many parts. But these are general reasons why ppl have such a difficult time with it (other than any sickness/stutter) :

1. fear - yep. biggest bitches ever. the good thing is, it can be easily overcome. as i said before, fear is a lie. fear is there to consistently deteriorate your feelings and thoughts about something. Ex - You "fear" trying something new because u haven't even gave it a shot. When you do, u either hate it or u love it. Then u move on with life. It's a vicious cycle. Imagine that fear is just there ruining your whole damn 30 minutes before u need to do that speech, then when u're done with it. You move on. So what was the point of even peeing yourself and ruining yourself. But fret not, i'm here to tell you that you just need to put your worries for when the time comes (when u approach the situation). Then ya move on. Start actually believing in your actions. Always remind yourself that you have what it takes and u will absolutely handle it. (this only applies to those who feels the same way, i know this isn't the case for everyone)

2. overthinking. this shit just kills everything. someone can just say "10" but with our powerful overthinking skills, we can turn it into "5x2-3+2+1" in a quick sec. and this makes everything worth living for becomes absolute shithole. and then fear comes in. then you start doubting. then you just don't do it. yup. this happens. let me tell you, overthinking is not even worth it. fuel up that faith in you. and throw all the negativity and chit chats in your head and just live. time is too precious to just overthink everything.

3. pressure. this ain't fun. sometimes we just feel pressured to be something. to act a certain way. labels that people have tagged us. "the funny one" "the smart one" "the quiet one" "the overexcited girl" or whatever it is. so imagine the girl labelled "the quiet one" (but shes actually not) tries to say something out there and is actually really loud, she doesn't feel like it because it destroys the expectations of people, and the society won't be accepting of ""the new loud"" her. ((just an example!)) SOOOOOOO Fucked up and such a stupid reason,i know, but this thing happens!!!! expectations are no fun. the more this pressure lingers, the more we have difficulty in it. and i'm here to say to you, to hell the expectations. to hell the people that labels us!!! it's time to not live by peoples rules and live by your own rules. this universe needs you.

It’s a Royalty/Historical(ish)/Forced Wedding AU which turns out to be the cutest thing ever oh my god i can’t even believe this fanfic.

Retirement!AU by @skygemspeaks a short YOI prompt that went all around tumblr. It’s about the possibility of Viktuuri retiring, going to get a degree, and their classmate discovering that they’re famous. It’s reaaaaally sweet.

When Googling Your Friend Gets Weird by @adrianners A lot of fic has resulted of the prompt above by SkyGem, but this one is my favorite i thing, it develops it very well !

On Our Love by @LiaoftheDawn Ok so this one is tagged as Mature cause there is sex implied, but there is no hard depiction, so i chosed to put it here, so, it’s up to you. It’s angst with happy ending (best tag ever) and it crushed me well.

Like a Fairytale by @lucycamui wich is a Cinderella!AU (i’m so weak to Cinderella’s story it’s a shame) very fluffy and lovely and well writen. Special thanks for Godperson!Phichit, that made my night.

These one also are rated M but i don’t remember sex : there may be, but that’s not what makes them memorable for me. It’s about Yuuri moving to Russia and how the settling, the insecurities (wink wink) of the couple are worked out. Two of the first fanfics i’ve read in the fandom, i love this author, it’s really (a little bit) angsty with fluff.

Until My Feet Bleed & My Heart Aches (also known as umfb&mha) by the wonderful and queen of us all @kazliin I’M SO EAGER FOR YOU TWO TO READ THIS ONE OMG. This fanfic sets place in a Rival!AU which means that, well, there rivals (Yuuri hating Viktor to sum it up) and it’s really a really really famous fanfic in the fandom and it has driven me mad at least as much as YOI itself. The smut is character driven and is entirely part of the story and the character developpement, it’s crazy, i just can’t stop reading this fic or everything that revolves around, i’m obsessed, god help me (i may want somedy to talk about this with ?) (i read it in like 48h ?) (this is really an obsession) (there is a fanbase just for this fic) (god help me)

You Can’t Plan for Everything by @contentwhatcontent Ok so this one is really implying a lot of sex, starting really around chapter 20. It’s set in the OmegaVerse (i’ll explain to you girls if you don’t know what it is, i don’t really know how far you are in the fanfic thing), it’s reaaaaaaal slowburn with looooots of feels and i kind of really loves it ?

When you were young by again the great @phisen and OMG THIS FIC MADE ME CRY THE FUCK OUT OF MYSELF O.M.G. This is really angsty. There is one sex scene which is not really what the fic is about. It’s about 40yo-Separeted!Viktuuri, and they meet again by accident and how this goes through. I really cried the fuck but O.M.G. this is sooooooo good, such a good story, so well writen. Must read, unless you don’t want to be feeling like shit because of a story. (i personnally love it, don’t judge me.)

After Everyone Else by @dance_across THE BEST THREESOME I’VE READ SO FAR OMG i didn’t know i needed this until i read it and now my head is full of headcanons over it. It’s really fluffy/sexy/with feels and i just love it. Threesome Viktuuri + Chris.

Call Everything on the Ice by @shysweetthing this one is reaaaaally fluffy. It’s a bit of angst with a happy ending (still the best tag), it’s canon-divergent with Viktor learning Japanese and not knowing how to tell Yuuri. I love it ! The epilogue is the sweetest of things.

Unexpected by @alexwspark I reaaaally love this one, i started reading before the last chapters were released. I usually sum it up as “everything is the same but slightly different”. There’s also angst with it, cause you know, i can’t leave without a good amount of angst.

Growing up, growing in, by @Muspell this one is OtaYuri. It’s about Yurio kind of acknowledging a beginning of feelings for Otabek, not knowing how to deal with it. It’s very young-respectful, there is a bit of a sex-situation to some point, but treats about the age-gap relationships. I really found it good, i followed the update when the story wasn’t completed yet. There’s Mila and Viktuuri being sweethearts also.

The Fundamentals of Caring by @actualyuuri omg i liked this one so much ! It’s domestic pre-relationship sick!Yuuri with Viktor caring (ok it’s toothrooting fluff), and then the second chapter is more or less the smut part. It’s veeeery fluffy. 

Next Level : Nights After Dreams by @RipVanGabriel so this one is the only one so far on FF.net and not Ao3. And, well. I’ve started reading this fanfic at it’s very beginning. It’s regularly updated. It’s actually around 300k word and always growing. It’s Viktuuri life after the serie, and it goes far ! There are several arcs, especially with Viktor’s family. There’s an arc with the wedding. An arc entirely dedicated to Yurio. It’s quite complete actually, and even if i’m always a bit “mhm, where were we” at each new update, there is always something new to read. It’s actually very... going with the post-canon, but it’s a way to continue the story, if you like to feed on some kind of story. I quite like this one, and keeping track of it !

I tend to forget or get lazy even if I like some animes... so when it comes to stuff i dont like and i think they are bad: i drop them.
