We need to talk about the Cum Lore of Reman Cyrodiil
First let's address the whole "his Dad fucked a hill" thing.
Tumblr media
So yeah the story goes that King Hrol and his men, during a time of division and strife for Cyrodiil, saw a vision of Alessia. Hrol decided to "make union unto a hillock" which is exactly what it sounds like; he had sex with the actual dirt, and it was so good he actually died, his sheildthane died, and everyone else went insane.
Nine months later and the hill had grown into a mountain that would one day be Sancre Tor, and a shepherdess climbed up and found baby Reman with the Amulet of Kings embedded in his forehead (or just wearing it, depending on who you ask). Either way, this is proof that the baby was the legit Dragonborn and the shepherdess was able to walk him straight into the White Gold Tower and sit him on the Ruby Throne uncontested.
Now some might say that this is religious allegory mixed with Reman dynasty propaganda with just a sprinkle of truth; a King of the land making love to the land itself, representing its founding mother, producing the literal perfect righteous ruler of that land;
"I am Cyrodiil come." -Reman Cyrodiil, and he meant it literally.
...when in truth a noble probably sexually exploited a commoner, getting her pregnant, who then murdered him and claimed her son was legitimate. It's a very pessimistic view, and when you consider some of the crazy shit that has 100% definitely happened on Tamriel, it's a little overly skeptical. Like Elsie God-Hater levels of jaded. But however it happened, the Amulet of Kings, and later his Thu'um, proves Reman was the real deal.
I really want to believe the story, not only because it perfectly encapsulates how gross real life ancient mythology is, not only because it's a unique and crazy story where this demi god emperor is literally made of dirt and jizz as a living personification of the country, but because that shepherdess would later become one of Reman's concubines who would bake his cum into bread and feed it back to him, and this shit is so wild as it is without her also being his mother!
Reman, which means "Light of Man" (ray-man) really brings home the Roman flare to the Cyrods with his crazy origins, he's a much cooler and more mysterious figure than that Tiber Septim dickhead, and it would be very hard for the Thalmor to so easily dismiss his divine credentials. Talos is banned? Good riddance, who wants crackers when we have fresh baked bread at home 😋.
Tumblr media
I read once that Reman spontaneously ejaculated over the corpses of his slain enemies. I don't know if that's canon or just some Reddit Kirkbride insanity but I read it and now you have. The true Ninth Divine right there.

“To The Block!” Poll, TES Edition - 2
Tumblr media
Thanks to everyone who participated so far we have made Tamriel a bit better by getting rid of Molag Bal, who was voted out by an overwhelming majority and sent to the block and then to an extradimensional jail for all his crimes!
But our show in the arena goes on, with nine more participants awaiting your verdicts! Remember: you must vote for those who you want to see on the block! This is an "elimination by the majority of votes" poll. I saw confusion about this and I hope I made it clear this time around!
So, for example, I have a bone to pick with Tiber Septim, so I vote FOR HIM, so he can end up on the block.
Without more talking on my side, let's find out...

[Fanart] Videogame Items 01 - TES V Skyrim - Salvaged Helgen Loot   Edit : Resized the glove, it was too big in relation to the other stuff. Are you a ‘loot everything that isn’t nailed down’ or a ‘roleplay looter’ kind of player? Does this resemble your inventory coming out of Helgen or do you notice a severe lack of spider eggs in this? lmao. I’ve been trying to roleplay a lot lately with my spellsword dovahkiin. Not pictured here is the longbow and some iron arrows.
List of items in a somewhat loose order :
Health and Magicka potions.
‘Northerner Gauntlet’ - from ‘Guards Armor Replacer’ mod.
Septims.
Helgen Keep key.
Destruction Spell book for ‘Sparks.’
Iron Dagger, Sword and Axe.
Rusty Lockpicks
Frost Mirriam
Wine
Rabbit meat
Bread
Garlic
Elves Ears
This was pretty fun, I have plans to do some ‘thematic’ inventory style showcases in the future too, one for thieves, one for mages and so on... But I also have more food only stuff planned as well. These are awesome as warmups before working on bigger pieces.

I really do think the dragons in skyrim should call the Last Dragonborn their sibling. Not even just the ones that are nice to you like All Of Them. Alduin especially. Mind fuck that shit.

um i also sketch every once in a while ??! (this is from like two months ago my bad)
also i suppose this is like the introduction(?) of my silly little ocs??
the lovely lady on the left is alessia aria, my hero of kvatch. she is the mother of my ldb jules, the person on the right. the age gap between the two is nearly 200 years and that is bc alessia is also Literally Sheogorath on account of the shivering isles expansion of oblivion (don’t tell me this isn’t lore friendly i will bite you). i love them both and they can do no wrong (they’re super messed up also but that’s not the point)

Work-in-Progress Wednesday
Hi, hello. It's me. I am pretty much done with this chapter, so that means you can look forward to more of my mad ramblings on Friday. I have nothing to say for myself except that this hurts me just as much as it hurts you.
Tagging: @oblivions-dawn @dirty-bosmer @bougainvillea-and-saltwater @skyrim-forever

Dahlia looks up at him, her eyes wandering over him for a moment to take him in. When was the last time she stopped? The last time she was allowed to breathe and just be? She bites her lip as she looks at her daughter, her body snuggled into Ulfric’s chest as she sleeps soundly. Up and down, in and out. Her chest rises and falls steadily as she dreams. Of what, Dahlia wonders, as Sylvi’s eyes flutter open revealing the crisp blue she gets from her father.
She will never grow tired of seeing their color.
Blinking quickly, she tears her eyes away from Sylvi only to look up again at Ulfric—the same color. Dappled green meets stormy seas as her eyes widen,  and she blinks again and again. No matter how hard she tries, she cannot overcome the momentum of her motions. Finally, she tips over, water spilling from a glass and crashing onto the ground. She sobs unashamedly as Ulfric pulls her closer to him.
If she could, she would never let go of either of them. She would stay right here in this moment for the rest of her life. But she can’t. Time marches ever onward as Akatosh pulls at her strings yet again. Not for the first time she wonders if her destiny was meant to set Mundus free only to become a prisoner to her fate.
“It’s okay, Dahlia.” Ulfric mumbles quietly to her as his hand brushes up and down her spine in a soothing gesture. He doesn’t know if he says it more to her or to himself, only that he knows that she needs him, so this is what he will do for her. “Hey, look up at me.” He places his fingers gently under her chin to tip her head up.
“What if it isn’t enough, and I have given all that I can already?”
“You are strong, and you are brave.” He holds her gaze and brushes the tears from her eyes with his thumb. “You have inspired so many and done so much. The world, the Divines, no one should be able to ask any more of you, but yet, you continue to sacrifice more than anyone, and you do it selflessly.”
Dahlia chuckles, the sound coming out watery and thin. “You make it sound like I am some saint. I am not Alessia.”
“But you are my Queen.” He leans forward to press his lips to hers.

I find it actually hilarious that ppl are saying "at least Alduin isnt racist" as if his whole schtick isnt to have complete dominance over all man and mer and as if all dragons dont believe the dovah are the SUPREME RACE and that was the whole fuckin reason that they overthrew the dragons in the first place
Species race whatever but you get my point it's very very strange
Does no one pay attention to that part of the game???
I guess not?
I raise you: every race in TES is racist against the others. Stormcloaks cities aren't alone in refusing the Khajiit caravans entrance to the cities. Imperial cities — Solitude, the Imperials capital; Whiterun, the neutral trade hub of Skyrim — refuse them.
Dunmer live in the Grey Quarter and Argonians live on the docks. This is considered wrong. But there's also the issue of thousands of years of Argonians enslavement by Dunmer and a recent invasion of Morrowind by the Argonians that decimated the southern half of the province to consider. Yes, some individuals can and do get along, but it's probably not a good idea to have two groups known to hate and antagonize each other not rubbing shoulders.
Also every Dunmer in Morrowind hates everyone else. Even other Dunmer. Outlanders . . .
The Aldmeri Dominion's entire schtick is they hate the races of men (and lesser mer, but they're pretending to like them to exploit them, shh)! They even attack members of their own Altmer race for dissention or perceived defects. They lead purges in Valenwood against the Bosmer.
Let's also remember the Countess of Leyawiin in Oblivion, Alessia Caro, who had torture chambers for Argonians and Khajiit in the castle dungeons. In a city historically rich with Argonians and Khajiit cultures.
The Bosmer and Khajiit have a long history of fighting each other. Iirc one of the Wild Hunts was instigated due to Khajiit attacks at the Valenwood - Elsweyr border.
How many times have the Bretons and Redguards sacked and burnt Orsinium, only for the Orcs to rebuild it? How many wars have been waged in the Iliac Bay region between Breton and Redguard factions, all for power?
There are so many examples. But basically:
Tl;Dr — everyone in Tamriel actually hates each other. Yes, even members of their own groups. Folks like Erandur are rare because nobody loves anyone. And if they do, it's because they want something.

hi who would like to hear my Education in Tamriel headcanons based on absolutely nothing
some provinces (Cyrodiil, High Rock, Summerset Isles, Hammerfell) I feel follow sort of a Victorian-style education system. In poorer or rural communities, children will usually be taught by their parents or neighbors and start apprenticeships fairly young. If the family lives near a larger town, children will often attend a village school (basically a one-room schoolhouse) until they're in their mid-teens and head off to higher education or start learning a trade. In cities, there are larger public schools that run similarly to village schools, just with higher budgets. A couple of specific-province thoughts:
Cyrodiil undoubtedly has at least one snobby temple-run school called Saint Alessia's School for Girls. The students wear expensive uniforms and rebel in weird ways.
Summerset Isle schools treat etiquette and deportment as important academic subjects.
Hammerfell has several extremely well-thought-of schools and colleges, and it's a popular study-abroad destination for High Rock and Cyrodiil students.
Every school in High Rock has a resident magic teacher.
Now, in some other provinces (Black Marsh, Elsweyr, Skyrim, Valenwood) I feel like education is somewhat less formal (though no less rigorous). In larger towns cities there are one or two empire-funded public schools attended by most children. in smaller communities, education is usually assigned to a village elder/wise person and encompasses both academic and practical subjects. All of these places embrace the principle "Being Outdoors Helps You Learn." Valenwood probably has forest kindergartens of the kind you see in Denmark.
Morrowind has kind of a mash-up of all of these systems. Education in the Ashlands is very traditional and usually comes from one's grandma; in towns like Balmora there's a small school most kids attend; Vivec has several fancy academies; Mournhold has a school called Our Lady Almalexia of Mercy Academy.

So like I'm playing oblivion and like I'm pretty fucking stupid and don't pay attention so I probably just missed something but like wasn't the whole thing about how fires of akatosh etc etc basically had a barrier between daedra entering and that's how merhunes dagon invaded by putting out those fires or whatever but how do daedra show themselves then like why does Hermaeus basically look the same in Skyrim when u meet him and the same in apocrypha or like how do u have that entire quest with sanguine or like how does a dremora get out to fuck my ass violently with a long sword
First off you're not dumb. The information they give you in game is limited unless you go digging through books.
TL;DR: the dragon fires don't stop communication and some daedra are strong and can appear they just can't interact with the world without help.
Now the dragon fires were first lit by the first Empress Alessia when she acquired the amulet of kings from the Aelids and made a pact with her patron diety Akatosh. He promised to keep the doors of oblivion shut as long as every Ruler of Cyrodill used the Amulet and lit the dragon fires.
I'm not going to go into the events of oblivion because I don't want to spoil it for Anon but you can bother me about it after you finish the game 🥰🥰
Its important to note, however that while the doors are shut, the phone lines are still working. As a result daedric worshipers can still communicate with the daedra and the daedra can communicate with their worshipers. Also, people on Nirn can sometimes open windows for dramora to come through the conjuration school of magic allows you to summon, and control if you have the strength, dremora and atronochs.
Some daedra, like Hermaeus Mora, are strong enough to open the windows themselves and peek in on men and elves and even appear to them. However they *usually** can't interact with the world without persuading a soft minded mortal into doing their bidding and running their errands for them. Think Septimus Signus in skyrim or Mancar Cameron and his cultists in Oblivion.
Tbh I don't know how Sanguine comes into Nirn I assume that he possesses a farmer that went on a little to hard of a bender. Or a worshipers summoned a dremora that has part of his soul in it. Regardless I don't think that you party with the God of parties himself just like... a version of him.
Hope this helped ❤❤
