"O...Oh, is that s-so? E-Ehehee.." He rubs the back of his head with a darkening blush on his cheeks. No matter how often Amai calls him cute or flirts with him, it manages to fluster him each time. Not that he minds... Amai is a very cute guy. Plus, with how delicious their sweets are, he can't help but react excitedly to them every time!

A shy giggle at that 'as sweet as him' part, he nods his head as he replies: "Don't worry, Amai-kun: as great as a baker that you are, I know you'll implement the flavors just right. I already know to expect to enjoy them, just like everything else you've made for me."

For a minute, he almost took that seriously, eyes going wide with an even darker blush on his face before Amai says they were just kidding. ..Not that he would have had a problem with doing that, flustered as it just made him.. "O-Oh, a-ahaha, I see, I-I see!! And you call me the sweet one... you're truly too kind, Amai-kun. Thank you... I'll always be happy with the things that you make!" He gives them a brighter smile, showing he truly means that. Still, he hopes to be able to do something for Amai, to fully show his gratitude for all the delicious sweets they treat him to.

“Hehe, it’s hard for Amai to not spoil you when you always have suuuuch a cute reaction whenever Amai shares sweets with you! It’s so cute! Amai could just eat you up, you know?” Or you could eat me up, they think, but don’t say. While they wouldn’t mind, they didn’t want to risk making someone as shy as Shuichi uncomfortable, especially since they enjoy his company so much. 

“Doesn’t it? Hehe, it would really really cut through the bitterness, waaaay more than white chocolate… hm… but if Amai is going to try to put those flavors in a macaron that suits Shu-chan the most…. Amai has to be careful… things that are as sweet as Shu-chan might be too intense of a flavor and take away the coffee taste.

“You don’t gotta, though, if you want, you can give me a kiss to repay it all~...kidding. Amai is just super super happy to see Shu-chan happy with what Amai is making!” They didn’t need repayment, really. His friendship was something that Amai deeply cherished so just getting that was enough for them.

TenMiko isn’t canon dumbass. Himiko’s feelings were out of regret on treating Tenko terribly. Not because she’s in with her. Not to mention Himiko’s canonical straight, she fantasizes herself being surrounded by men, blushes when Kokichi flirts with her and flirts with Shuichi. She shows no reaction when a girl compliments her. If you want Tenko to be happy, ship her with someone who she naturally develops a relationship, not forced herself. Don’t treat survivor’s guilt as romantic feelings.

Now it’s pretty rare that I get comments like this. I was honest to god a little confused when this arrived in my message box out of nowhere, but while I really would rather just ignore this, I cannot let this comment stand. At no point did I ever say that Himiko’s feelings were survivors guilt. At no point did I say the two of them were canonically in love. All I did was talk about what it would be like if they WERE romatically involved. However, this anon here seems to think shipping Tenmiko is completely impossible, and that you’re only allowed to ship a ship that is canon. Is that true? Far from it, obviously. About 95% of Danganronpa ships aren’t canon. About 95% of ships from any series aren’t canon. However, it seems you don’t understand my reasonings for enjoying a ship such as this one that really deserves to be enjoyed. So while I wouldn’t want to do this, you’ve forced my hand, so let me tell you

Why Tenmiko is a valid ship

To start off with, let’s get one thing out of the way. I can totally understand not shipping these two. Tenko’s strong feelings to Himiko are mostly one-sided, and she gets way too attached to the point where she’s a creep. Also, for a large chunk of the game, Himiko seems to like Angie a little more. However, Tenko’s obsessiveness is all just to make Himiko impressed, because she admires her and wants her to notice, and Himiko is VERY obviously upset when Tenko dies. Also, while some may say that Himiko hated Tenko, I don’t believe that for one second. I think Himiko really DID care for Tenko. I know it seems a little weird that she only realised how much happiness Tenko gave her AFTER she died, but personally, I get the feeling that Himiko always valued Tenko's company and simply didn't realise it. In fact, I've been through something similar in my life. I have a close friend, who initially tried to insert himself into my friend group on his own, and at the beginning, he annoyed us and most of us rejected him. I look back and realise that that person was about 80% of the happiness in my life by that point, and somehow he's still one of my best friends today. I can never forgive myself for treating him the way I did, and I'm pretty sure Himiko felt the same. What I'm saying is, on a spiritual level, I understand Himiko's complex emotions in this chapter, and I feel that she is redeemable, which I will stand by. This does not mean I’m translating it as a romantic attraction. Don’t you dare say I’m treating someone’s death as a romantic subplot, because that’s not the case. Also, Himiko’s canonically straight and Tenko...I think is Bi at least? But tell me this anon? Give me one good reason why I should give a fuck? Hajime Hinata seems to be canonically straight, particularly during Chiaki’s FTE’s, when she falls on him, he specifically states that his heart starts beating really loud. But is Hinanami the biggest ship involving Hajime? No! Komahina is! Shuichi and Kaede have a lot of romantic chemistry during the first few chapters. Are they a huge ship? No! Not as big as Oumasai! A ship and a character’s sexuality doesn’t have to come into play AT ALL when it comes to shipping. If you seriously think that, then you’re clearly new to how ships work. The very idea of shipping is that you take two (or more) characters, that can be of any gender, age, race, or even franchise (Nagito X Sans) as an example and pair them together romantically. THAT’S how ships work!

Also, I know they don’t outright say it, but the Anon who sent this to me specifically says that “Himiko blushes when Kokichi compliments her” or something, so in a way, are you trying to say that Oumeno is a more wholesome ship than Tenmiko? I’m sorry but...there’s literally only one way I can describe that. Complete and utter bullshit! To start off with, the only reason that happened is because they needed a bit of comedy, and Himiko is kind of the one comedic character that makes it this far. In general, and I’m not here to knock on Oumeno or anything, but Kokichi and Himiko’s relationship is probably the MOST toxic relationship Himiko has. There are only two big moments these two have together that could mean anything. One is the one I just mentioned, with that stupid “Maybe you like me?” joke in Chapter 5, and the other is how he tells her not to lie to herself and let her emotions out at the end of the Third Case. Generally though, Himiko dislikes Kokichi, like most of the other killing game participants do. Not only that, but in the very least, Tenko never bullied Himiko. There’s a point where Kokichi insults Himiko for having a flat chest, which is an insult I think that is SO dated, but this is not the setup for a healthy relationship. Tenmiko is genuinely a much more healthy relationship, even if it’s not romantic. On top of that, it is never ever confirmed if Kokichi actually said that. It was KAITO in the exisal at the time, so HE’S the one who said that. Whether it was part of Kokichi’s script or if he adlibbed it, since he states he had to adlib some parts, it is never known.

The big issue many people focus on is Tenko’s obsession with Himiko, but when it comes to knocking on this ship, that is literally all people focus on, because they don’t want to admit that is literally the only major thing that is anything close to wrong with it. I honestly think this is just biased. Himiko and Tenko actually have a pretty strong, solid and healthy relationship for the most part, and most people just don’t seem to understand that. In Kaede’s FTE’s with Tenko in the first chapter, she states her attraction towards Himiko is because she admires how she’s a showperson as well as how she has a thing for magical girls. Alongside that, she says that she loves small cute things, and that is exactly what Himiko is. Tenko does not obsess over Himiko, more than she obsesses over how small and cute she finds her. I guess you could say she’s a lolicon in a way, but let’s just...not talk about that. People say that Tenko’s obsession becomes borderline creepy and stalkerish, and while I understand that, I think I should remind everyone what “obsession” actually means. “An obsession” is to be in the state of being obsessed with someone or something. I could say this much that most people love the people in their family, and they have pretty happy and healthy relationships with them and spend a lot of time with them. This. THIS is an obsession. If you think obsessions to people are unhealthy, then that means your relationship with your whole family is unhealthy, in spite of how happy you are. Before anyone outright says that obsessions and love are different, I KNOW! Tenko isn’t a fucking yandere! People think obsessions to people are bad because of yandere tropes, but it can actually come in many different forms, and genuine care and affection is one of them, which is exactly what Tenko tries to show Himiko.

When Tenko and Himiko first met, I don’t doubt Himiko was scared and a bit weirded out by her, but Tenko was nice and encouraged her, and I think Himiko took it the wrong way. Himiko isn’t the type of person to avoid girls so much as she’s the type of person to avoid people in general. She was bullied in her old school, and I think the immense encouragement and support of Tenko would be a bit of new ground for her. As of such, she probably just thought Tenko was strange, because all of this were strange things to her. Himiko pushes Tenko away frustratingly because she thinks she’s simply trying to manipulate her, but the irony is that in the process of trying to avoid being manipulated by Tenko, she basically gets brainwashed by Angie. When ANGIE dies though, Himiko seems to realise what’s actually happened since then, and she realizes that because of all that happened, Tenko didn’t get any of the affection that she was genuinely trying to put on Himiko. When Tenko dies immediately after, Himiko is the first to lift the cage and calls out her name in panic, realizing that Tenko’s affection was not only genuine, but also returned, and she never ever got a chance to thank her for trying to make her a better person. And I genuinely believe that Himiko and Tenko make each other better people for sure!

As for any other reasons why I ship these two, I think their parallels are really interesting. To start off with, their general colorization is a frequently used parallels for duos. Himiko has a red skirt and red hair, as well as a red underside to her cape in her promo art, and Tenko’s outfit has a particularly outstanding blue theme to it. Another parallel, and I actually found this out while browsing, is that Hat’s and Headbands are parallels of each other, and each of them wear one (Himiko’s wizard hat and Tenko’s pinwheel headband) Lastly, there’s the contrast in personality, and this is the main reason why I ship these two. I love it when two people can have romantic attraction despite being almost opposite in nature, because their two personalities can collide, and it makes each of them better people. This is not only the case for Tenmiko, but also the case for Shuichi and Kaede, and also Kaito and Maki, AKA two ships that are basically canon (for the most part) so I really don’t see why Tenmiko’s lack on canonicity makes it a bad ship anymore, when it’s basically the same dynamic as these two. Tenko is quick, energetic and aggressive, while Himiko is slow, lazy and weak willed for a big part of the game, and I think these two counteract each other pretty well. It’s not the greatest group of parallels, but in this case, I think the opposites certainly do attract.

Tenmiko is a healthy, strong, fun and valid ship, and there is nothing you can do to change my mind. I will be supportive of this ship for a very long time from now.

Ticklish Prankster - (Kokichi + Shuichi ft. DICE)

Rated: G Genre: Friendship/Romance (A/N: This wasn't originally going to be gay, but my Kokichi muse made it so.) ... "Wow, I can't believe you agreed to join my organization!" Kokichi said, eyes sparkling. Shuichi stood in front of him in DICE headquarters, wearing an all-white uniform. All he needed was a checkered scarf. Kokichi held one in his hands and tied it around his friend's neck. "There you go! You look amazing!" "I... do?" Shuichi said. He didn't believe he looked any more amazing than any other DICE member. But if Kokichi said so... Kokichi kissed him on the cheek. "Yeah. Now come on, Shuichi, you're going to miss the fun!" Shuichi followed him, a bit flustered. He knew it was a standard greeting for DICE, but with the way Kokichi had flirted with him in the past, he suspected something more. Kokichi pulled Shuichi along to the movie den. There everyone was gathered in the dark room that was set up like a theatre. A projector showed a movie on a white wall. The title of the movie was "DICE antics from the previous year." They'd visited Italy, China, France, and India. It wasn't so much of a movie as it was clips of the group entertaining the locals. Juggling, unicycling, magic, acrobatics were some of the things they did. Then came the practical jokes! Locals everywhere took it with good humor, for the most part. Shuichi was surprised that a lot of the pranks were played by DICE on themselves! One such clip had Kokichi step out of his shoe in India, and before he could go back for it, a tall, male prankster held his foot and tickled him! When he heard his laugh, Shuichi was astonished. This cute laugh belonged to the "Ultimate Supreme Leader"? The movie kept on playing, switching to other events, but his mind kept flashing back to Kokichi's sweet and innocent laughter. His voice still had his adolescent tone, but it seemed more child-like in nature. Finally, Shuichi decided that he was going to make Kokichi laugh like that again. He waited until the movie was over and the lights came back on. Kokichi looked to him and smiled. He wrapped his arms around the boy. Kokichi made a satisfied 'hmmm' sound. "Hey, Kich, that was a good movie. I never knew you had such a good sense of humor..." "Can't believe someone as evil as me could selflessly entertain the locals...?" Shuichi stroked his hair, relishing more satisfied sounds from the boy. "No... I just can't believe the Ultimate Supreme Leader was so ticklish!" Kokichi immediately realized his position, and stiffened. Shuichi scribbled his fingers along his sides. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!! SHUIHIHIHIHIHIHIICHIIII!" He squirmed in his arms. Once he realized there was no escape, Kokichi decided to turn the tables. Even though he was small, he was quick, and when he decided to attack, people got startled and backed off. Kokichi jumped on him and skittered his fingers along the boy's ribs. "GAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA!" "AHA! Looks like you're also ticklish! Nee-hee-hee!" Kokichi managed to hold his own for a while; Shuichi had never seen it coming. He may have even won had a female DICE member in pigtails not decided to tickle his neck at that moment. "AHHHH! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEE!" The tables were quickly turned, as Shuichi now had the upper hand. He attacked Kokichi's ribs, playing them like a xylophone. "AAAAAAAH! THAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAT WAHAHAHAHASN'T FAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHAAIIIIR~!" Kokichi whined through his laughter. "Sorry, Kokichi, but it looks like your friends and I had the same idea!" "NO! AHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHHAAAA!" Shuichi decided to give him a small break. The boy panted heavily. Finally, he looked at him indignantly. "Why....? ... *gasp* *pant* ... Why me...?" Shuichi looked at his pouting face, and decided to tease him a little. "You know why." He squeezed his underarm, making him flinch and grin. But Kokichi was not one easily defeated. He wanted to make Shuichi admit it. "Maybe I'm a little dumb...? Can you spell it out for me?" Shuichi felt a blush on his cheeks. Could he do it in a room full of people...? "Y-you're..." The blush got more intense. Dang, he was good. He whispered into his ear. "You're the cutest." Kokichi smiled big. "I AM?!" His happy tone made Shuichi's heart flutter. He kissed him on the cheek. "Yeah... you are..." The whole room clapped for them. After they were finished, Kokichi spoke. "Wow... I never knew you liked me like that! ... Nee-hee-hee! Kidding! It was so obvious~!" Shuichi grew more flustered. "It was?!" Kokichi giggled. "Yeah! You were always so desperate for me. How could I NOT notice?" Thinking back, Shuichi realized he never actually said he liked Kokichi like that, and the boy just made him admit it. "Hey, wait a second!" "Nee-hee-hee! What is it?" Kokichi said with a faux-innocent smile. Shuichi pounced on him once more. "You little sneak! You made me admit I liked you! You're going to get it for that!" Kokichi started giggling before he even touched him. "Nee-hee-hee-hee! AhahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!" Shuichi searched for every ticklish area on his body and found a lot. His 'laughter jackpots' seemed to be his underarms, belly button, and under the knees. "AHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAA! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAA! HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAAHA! WAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHahahahahaaahaa..." Finally when he was satisfied, he settled down. Kokichi was flushed and exhausted. "There!" Shuichi said, smiling as the boy's laughter finally died down. "Your friends know my secret, and I know every weak spot on your body; now we're even!" It took a few minutes, but Kokichi's breathing returned back to normal, and his breathing no longer had giggles in between. "No..." Kokichi said very seriously. He came closer to Shuichi, making his intentions known, and slowly kissed him on the lips. Pulling away, he whispered into his ear. "Now we're even." Shuichi was redder than a tomato. The whole room 'Oooooooooo'd and cheered. That was when Shuichi realized Kokichi always got the last laugh. But he was surprisingly okay with that. Maybe now they'd finally start up a relationship and be happy together.

Let’s start with the Despair From the Heart cast. (my HC for Danganronpa 52)

Kokoro (Ultimate Lucky Student) is basically just endless bouncy optimism. She has a part-time job as a stage idol and wanted to do it full-time before getting her letter from Starlight Academy. She’s basically best girl.

Jasper (Ultimate ???) didn’t actually forget his talent like the Ultimate ???s we’ve seen in canon. He refuses to say it for his own reasons, but he insists he does have one. He initially comes off as a smooth and polite person, but does have a bit of an unsettling and mysterious aura about him.However, (this isn’t really a spoiler since I’ve revealed this already) he’s also REALLY twisted and fucked in the head. The extent of this will be explored later in DFTH.

Haruto (Ultimate Broadway Actor and Ultimate Best Boy) admired Broadway shows for a long time and vowed to be up there on stage one day. It took a lot of work, but he finally got there. Personality-wise, he’s cool, charismatic and a flirtatious ladies man. But he doesn’t have a big ego like you’d expect and is a nice and genuine person. However despite this, he does have the capability to be useful in the trials.

Amai (Ultimate Digital Artist) is a very popular online artist (SweetDevil45chaotic dumbass not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer, and does sometimes believe that she’s nothing without her fans behind her.(also, her and Kokoro previously knew each other as they were friends online.)

Ahmya (Ultimate Archer, yeah I know it’s been done a lot) is an excellent archer despite her age. However her skill got her targeted (pun not intended) by a rival competitor, who hired someone to shoot her eye out during a competition. She still managed to win though, which led to her earning her talent. Ahmya is cold and bitter, to the point where she seems emotionally detached. However, this is mainly because she feels satisfied with her own company. But she becomes less cold if you warm up to her.

Sachiko (Ultimate Delinquent) is the group’s resident badass. As a result of being kicked out of multiple schools, her parents decided enough was enough and sent her to a prestigious private school to reform her bad behaviour, but she managed to topple the school’s hierarchy in a week. She’s aggressive, sarcastic, bitter and a LOT stronger than her thin physique suggests, and she doesn’t respect rules and authority at all. However, she does have a (repressed) softer side and is a bit of a tsundere.

Saiko (Ultimate Historian) ended up studying history after becoming interested in the subject as a result of his father working as a history professor at a college. He wrote a number of reports and papers on different time periods, and his intellect caught the other professors’ attention, leading to his work getting published by well respected sources and him becoming devoted to the subject. Saiko is charismatic and a bit of a flirt, but can come across as entitled and cocky. He also has a habit of saying something blunt or hurtful or that kind of thing, then immediately saying that he’s kidding.(his hair also has a gelled-down ahoge. I think that’ll give you all you need to know.)

Miko (Ultimate Bladesmith) lived with his uncle in the Japanese mountains for a lot of his life. (he never talks about to his parents and deflects the question when asked about them) His uncle was a blacksmith, which lead him to learning the art of making blades and excelling despite his young age. Miko is sensible and polite (with some people comparing his personality to the grace and honour of a samurai), but even though he comes off as intimidating and serious (which he can be), that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to have fun. However, despite his talent suggesting otherwise, he hates unnecessary violence, but he does know how to fight if he needs to defend himself.Also, a kind of running joke is that as a result of living in the Japanese mountains with no access to television or the internet, he knows practically nothing when it comes to millenial/pop culture. (at some point he asked Amai what a meme was and she laughed for 10 solid seconds before she realised he was serious)

Kaoru (Ultimate cinnamon roll Paediatrician) was bullied a lot for his weak-willed nature, which lead to him spending most of his time helping at the hospital where his parents worked. By chance one day, he found himself helping a young girl with a checkup in the paediatric ward. Due to his naturally gentle and kind demeanour, Kaoru found that he was talented in helping children and his parents were impressed with this, so he worked exclusively in the paediatric ward as a result. Kaoru is very kind and polite, but he’s also shy, fragile and has low self-esteem. However, this does a complete 180 when he’s doing medical work, where he becomes more serious and confident. He also has useful medical knowledge thanks to helping at the hospital for a long time.

Ayano (Ultimate Physicist) was sent to a specialist high school, and worked VERY hard in order to please her parents, excelling in the difficult subject of physics as a result and eventually studying at a university level while still at high school and even teaching younger year groups while in her senior year. Ayano is well-meaning and VERY smart, but can be blunt and pessimistic, and tends to overrule emotion with logic in her reasoning. Also, because of all the work she’s done, her sleep schedule has been permanently fucked up.

Rikona (Ultimate Chess Player) grew up in an orphanage as her parents weren’t in a position to raise her. Despite this, she yearned for a life of riches and found her calling one day when she easily beat an older girl at chess when she played for the first time. Despite her age, she managed to get a number of competition wins under her belt. Personality-wise, Rikona is kinda a mix between Hiyoko and Celeste. One moment she’s an entitled princess, and the next she’s a bitchy little girl who likes belittling people. (she also calls people “peasant” a lot)

Yuuma (Ultimate Jeweller) lived with his father after his parents divorced when he was 11. His father runs a jewellery company known as The Velvet Box, so Yuuma learned how to make jewellery to help. However when he was 15, his father suddenly fell sick due to copper poisoning and wasn’t able to make jewellery anymore, so Yuuma had to continue running The Velvet Box in his place. In the years that followed, The Velvet Box grew into a larger company mainly due to his designs. His appearance and height (him and Rikona are the shortest members of the cast) kinda gives the impression of him being like an overactive child, but even though he does act like an overactive child quite a bit, he is a lot more mature and cunning that he seems, as well as being cheerful and a generally good kid. However, he does have the tendency to be reckless and hotheaded, and is really, REALLY sassy.

Okay, that’s the DFTH cast done, is there anyone else I should-Oh yeah, I should mention Nisetaro, shouldn’t I.

Nisetaro was originally a very minor character in my rewrite AU thing of V3, but I ended up falling in love with him so much I ended up giving him a personality. He doesn’t actually have an Ultimate talent. He works as an intern for Team Danganronpa. He has anxiety and is pretty self-deprecating (and also apparently has depression), and kinda uses sarcasm as a front for that. However he is a genuinely nice person, and really hates Tsumugi.(he is also chaotic gay and has a crush on Shuichi)

Okay, uh, I.... was not expecting to find this? And I’ll be honest, I have no idea how it would fit in at all. Or why it’s over here. I’m just... gonna... put that on the back-burner for a bit.

I feel like me not knowing why it would be there is still better than K1-b0′s theory. 

Oh right, Kaito was logged out before it came back. And now we’re talking about the direction of the river, and how the sign got washed over against the river flow, but I’m not too worried about that? Like I said, I feel like from a game design standpoint it would make sense for the river to loop right-to-left so items and/or people wouldn’t be accidentally lost if they fell in and went off-map.

Yeah, she really did. And man did she leave a big impact. Even if she wasn’t my favourite character of the bunch, she had a surprisingly interesting dynamic with a lot of the others and she definitely wasn’t forgettable. It’s going to be weird not to have her around. To think that I originally thought she would get knocked off within the first two chapters... 8′D

So I drew out the map both ways - once, the way it is in the game, and two, with the left/right side against each other and the loading screen as the ‘walls’ on the outside. I’m guessing that was the original map. I’m guessing the added wall was the barrier on the edge of the game map.

First, the so-called obvious culprits and other red herrings:

Kaito

Man, someone was pushing to set Kaito up and I think that may have been Miu. It would be one thing if my original speculation about the lobby phone being used by the culprit to log Kaito out was one thing, but once the cellphone was found on Miu there really wasn’t any ambiguity left. He was definitely logged out remotely. It would have been interesting if she had logged him out via lobby phone and her wall-crossing abilities, but maybe the writers thought that could have been too hard to work out...

Kokichi

He’s been acting hella suspicious but once that paralysis feature got revealed, he was knocked out of the running. 

Miu being on the chapel side - solved by her avatar being classified as an object. Did the culprit know that too? I guess if Tsumugi could spot her through the window, Miu wasn’t exactly being subtle about her presence on the other side.

Poison - another red herring. No bloodshot eyes

Before I go on, you’ll note I circled a name on the ‘alive’ list, then drew a VERY unhappy face, and just kinda went NOOOOOOO in caps because

Is he the one that got the error code? He thinks it was all a dream - did he accidentally switch the wires? It did say the wires were for ‘memory’ and ‘consciousness’, and what better example of that is a fading dream...

Anyway, I’m going to get back to that ^ because I’m still like..... ugh. I have logical reasons that point to him, but emotionally I’m a bit of a wreck. So honestly, it sounds like Miu tried to kill Kokichi. You can see I underlined it in caps in the bottom right corner. 8′D I’m thinking Kokichi knew it was coming somehow? I’m not sure if it was just when they agreed to meet on the rooftop or before then, but I’m wondering if he set up Gonta as his bodyguard, knowing full well that Gonta has been slowly driving himself mad because of his inability to protect the people around him. I love Gonta, but he can get irrational when he gets emotional aka a certain insect-related incident...

As well as that, we have confirmed alibis: Tsumugi was with Shuichi, Kaito was out of range, Maki/K1-b0/Himiko were together, and Kokichi would have been paralyzed on contact. By process of elimination (which is so, so cold), Gonta is the only person who could have done it in the game - and we even saw him alone at the end, didn’t he?

So I’m wondering if it went like this...

Miu makes a move against Kokichi via their meeting

Gonta moves to protect Kokichi out of desperation and grabs her by the neck

She was definitely strangled, aka her expression/body position - Kokichi couldn’t do it because of the paralysis though, so it had to be someone else

Maybe Gonta didn’t realize his own strength, because he was rendered as weak as everyone else and he took the fact that he was nerfed to heart?

and/or maybe he just didn’t realize he killed Miu because he didn’t know he could in this world

pushed her off the roof via, uh, rolling up that lattice.. fencing... stuff sorry I don’t know I’m picturing her little avatar being wrapped up in fencing like a sushi roll and it’s making me laugh and sent her to the other side where she hits the chapel wall

So that would explain why Kokichi seems to be dancing around us like he knows everything, but man... he’s also seriously ragging on Gonta despite Gonta saving his life??? And him basically using Gonta as disposable protection??? I’m a little scared about exactly what that means for Kokichi and his character, damn...

B-But even still, I can’t... quite... reconcile this in my head. Kokichi is literally the only person I can think of that has any sort of antagonism with Miu. Honestly, anyone else killing Miu is hard for me to imagine - which I guess is maybe the point? And the reason they ‘equalized’ everyone’s strength wasn’t to make Gonta easy to kill like I thought it was when we first went in there, but to make a physical murder like strangulation more difficult for him when he’s at the same strength as everyone else. So I mean, on a meta level/technical level, it does make sense! But - but - Gonta! How can it be Gonta! On a cold hard logic level I feel like it’s all sound, but emotionally.... oTL

Brats notice you ignore them, so they change their target.

Now they suggest you should leave "that kid" and come with them to find out how real men taste like.

Okay, now Ryoma's pissed.

He lets your hand go and asks you to wait here, without turning to them.

You reluctantly agree, wondering what he is planning.

Ryoma disappears from your eyesight and a few seconds later you hear douchebags scream in fear and... pain?

You can't stop yourself from looking, so you slightly turn to look what's going on.

All you see is brats running away – one of them is pressing his hand to his face – and your boyfriend, who is wiping his hands in his coat.

"They won't bother us anymore" he simply says, coming back to you.

He refuses to tell you what he did to them.

I mean, come on.

His appearance itself is enough to make people shit their pants.

So when he comes out of the bookstore and notices you are being harrassed by some fools, he doesn't hesitate to come close and coldly ask them to "leave you in peace and walk away when they still can".

Most of them lose their perkiness and step back, but one of them – probably the leader – smirks at him.

"Or what?" they ask, looking straight into Korekiyo's eyes with defiant look.

Wrong choice.

You only manage to blink before the bullier is pressed against the wall, with your boyfriend's hand gripped on their neck.

"Or I'll show you what real pain means" he replies with quiet, dark voice. "Humanity is beautiful and equivalents of junk like you shouldn't pollute its world. But since I've been in a good mood before meeting you, I will give you the only chance to change your disgusting self. How about this?"

He lets the bully go and they disappear almost immediately.

He turns to look at you and asks if you are okay.

You nod, telling him he didn't have to scare them like this.

"You could get into trouble, you looked almost like you'd like to murder them" you mumble.

He smirks under his mask and shrugs. "Oh really?"

He really doesn't want to have any problem.

He's not too good with dealing with bullies.

So when some men start harassing you, he grabs your hand and tries to get you away from them.

Well, they don't like it.

They try to stop him by punching him, but they have no idea he's made of metal.

He barely felt anything.

But a douchebag who attacked him is crawling on the ground, holding his probably broken hand.

"I'm not interested in getting into troubles, so please leave us alone" he says before walking away with you.

They yell some insults at both of you, but they let you go.

When you're alone, he turns to you and asks if you are alright.

He doesn't want to get into fight, but if they have made you feel bad...

You tell him you're fine and there's no need to worry about it anymore.

He's really relieved with it.

Shuichi Saihara

Uh oh, this is bad.

He knows he's a little too weak to deal with aggressors, if things get steamy.

He tries to politely tell them to leave you alone and drag you away.

Now they're attacking him, too.

He ignores it, focused on getting you as far from them as possible.

But those freaks don't give up.

One of them pushes you, almost causing you to fall.

Shuichi grabs you right before you hit the ground.

He makes sure you're okay, when he hears their laughs behind himself.

And at this moment.

He snaps.

He turns to them and starts yelling at them to fuck off.

This is the first time ever you've seen him so mad.

The first time when you hear him cursing.

Where did your innocent, cute Saihara go...?

When bullies finally go away, he turns to you.

He's back to his old self.

He asks if you are okay, obviously ashamed of his sudden outburst.

You smooch his cheek and assure him you are okay, thanks to him.

Kokichi Ōma

Well, he's a goddamn punster, he's used to be harassed.

But he's not okay, when it turns against you.

You are innocent, they have no right to bother you just because you are his lover.

He's not smiling; actually, he's serious as hell.

He orders them to let you go.

When they ignore him, he walks past them and grabs your hand.

"They have nothing to do with it, let s/o go" he growls, looking at your oppressors with mad eyes.

They eventually let you two walk away, but you can't get over a feeling of being followed.

You tell Kokichi about this and he turns annoyed.

"Really, such a fuss because of some small jokes... Don't worry, s/o, my organisation will take care of them".

He's right; a while later you two walk past DICE members in disguises.

When did he manage to call them?

He insists on walking faster, because he doesn't want you to be close, when situation will get bad.

There's no way you get off of him until he gets you home safely.

Then his cheerful side comes back.

He starts to make joke about it, though you can see remains of worry in his eyes.

For the rest of the day, he cheers you up to make sure you will forget about it soon.

Kaito Momota

WHO DARES TO TOUCH HIS S/O.

He leaves you alone for literally two minutes to buy some snacks.

And when he comes back, he finds you being oppressed by some hopeless idiots.

Boy, they have no idea what they got themselves into.

He still yells insults at your oppressors while you're taking him away.

When they keep on not paying attention to him, he reaches his hand to gently push them away.

At least it was supposed to be gentle.

Because he accidentally pushes them all on the ground.

Before any of you can say anything, they get up and run away.

The situation confuses him a little, but at least s/o is safe now.

Romantic Relationships

Saihara is shy. A lot of things make him blush and its easy to embarrass him; whether it be calling him cute or just giving him a present. Him receiving affection from others is just something he isn’t all that familiar with so when it actually happens a truck of emotions hit him at once.

He’s aware that generally most people view romance as a ‘must have experience before death’ type of thing but to him he doesn’t really agree with that. While he does want to enter a relationship and experience what that and beyond is like he doesn’t really have high hopes and doesn’t expect anyone to fall for him. In fact he hasn’t even really experienced romantic feelings towards someone so when it does its just one confusing mess.

Saihara having trouble with romantic feelings can come from a number of reasons

He’s inexperienced, this is all new to him and he doesn’t know how to deal with them

He’s slow in general and it takes a while for things to click, time depending on how much he knows the person

He wants to make sure this is actually romantic feelings and not strong platonic ones

The first two are self explanatory but I’m gonna elaborate on the last one.

Saihara’s life goal ( or at least one of the more major ones ) is to make the people around him happy. He wants to help those in need and cheer them up when they’re down and just be a useful and good friend in general. What this means is he considers someone else’s feelings before his, especially when it has to do with potentially being more than just friends. He doesn’t want to jump in and rush things and put them in an uncomfortable spot. Even when the other person confesses to him and everything clicks he wants to make sure his feelings are genuine before taking the next step. Even when he has fallen in love, he thinks of the other person first and makes sure both ends are actually feeling what they think are feeling. He doesn’t want to enter a relationship built on dishonesty and uncertainty, where in the end one of them gets hurt. This may cause him to slip up though, as sometimes his feelings get the better of him and he will unknowingly start flirting with them because he blurts out his own thoughts before he can stop them.

As for how he acts and feels when he enters a relationship, he acts as caring and loving as he could be. He will put in effort in the relationship and makes sure that they stay safe and happy. While he will be shy and might not be overly pda in the beginning he will do small gestures like hand holds and kisses depending on how comfortable his partner is when it comes to that sort of thing.

He has admitted before that he would never be unfaithful towards someone.

KAEDE: Are you alright, Shuichi? You’re not weirded out by romance or women, right?

SHUICHI: Ah…no?

KAEDE: Oh! And just because you see it happen a lot, that doesn’t mean cheating is okay!

SHUICHI: N-Never! I would never do something so dishonest!

He’s loyal. He would never even think about going out with someone else while he’s already dating. Cheating is disgusting to him. He doesn’t ever want to hurt the person he loves. They and possibly even their family will become his top priority next to his work and training. He’s willing to do anything to keep them safe and happy. He associates anything romantic with his partner to the point where if anyone else tries to flirt with him he won’t notice while if his partner gives a flirty remark it will click a lot faster and he will react better.

There will be a few moments in the relationship when he gets a bit overwhelmed. This is not the fault of the partner, its more him feeling like he doesn’t deserve the love of someone else. Its him putting unnecessary pressure on himself to not make any mistakes and be the good and perfect boyfriend they most likely expect of him. This more or less ties to how he feels when he’s in an investigation. He’s afraid of messing up and afraid of losing what’s most important to him. He feels as if he has to do a lot on his own and deal with them by himself. Of course he is going to mess up here and there, this is still a new thing to him and everyone makes mistakes, and he’s still going to be extremely guilty and beat himself up over it and try to fix it. He doesn’t want anyone to see how weak and vulnerable he can get, especially a significant other. This doesn’t mean he won’t open up to his partner and talk to them, since they would have built a strong amount of trust he will vent about small things to them or actually let things out in the event where he can’t bottle things up anymore and he breaks. Until things like that happen though he puts them before him. Their feelings and safety matter more to him than his own.

Despite this he doesn’t like keeping secrets. He doesn’t like hiding things from them and he will open up about more serious topics down the line and won’t mind having these types of conversations with them as long as no one on either end gets mad or too upset. He will willingly share things to them that he hasn’t shared to anyone else, that's the amount of trust he has for them. If they ask him about there’s a very, very small chance of S.aihara lying to them.

When it comes to receiving affection he’s a shy little ball for a long while, but he’s willing to not let embarrassment stop him if it means he can show his partner that he truly loves them and wants what’s best for them. He’s new to all of this, but he’s going to try his best no matter what. In truth however he’s actually a pretty affectionate person, and once he’s comfortable enough he will shower his partner in different ways of showing how much he loves them, them including expensive gifts, constant cuddles and kisses, love letters, and more.

S.aihara is also extremely submissive. Moments where he takes the wheel are rare and its only when he gets his occasional confidence boosts. His reason being is that he hesitates and he doesn’t want to do anything that may cause harm to the other person. Even when he acts ‘bold’ for once he can stop for a second to make sure whatever he’s doing isn’t hurting them, especially when its things he’s never done before. It doesn’t even have to be something extreme, like neck kisses, he will still stop and pay attention to the other person. He wants to make sure no limits are being crossed and he wants to make sure that whatever he’s doing is still making the other happy. Everything he does involving the relationship is wanting to make the other person happy and strengthen the amount of trust that they’re building.

Sorry that this took a while! But it was a very fun ask to do and I had a lot of fun. Thanks for the adorable suggestion! I wrote the target of their affections as in just a crush, not yet s/o as per requested!

Korekiyo Shinguuji

Is very thankful that his mask is covering just how much he’s blushing. For a couple of seconds he loses himself in you.

You didn’t look good, no--

You looked absolutely stunning. The most beautiful human he’s ever laid eyes on.

He’s not even subtle with his gaze, he wants to appreciate every single aspect of your body and preserve this wondrous sight in his mind for all eternity.

Gets a little bit too poetic and corny with his compliments--which makes you blush furiously in return. He doesn’t stop even if you ask him to.

Even when you two aren’t together, you can always sense his gaze on you from faraway...

Will glare daggers at anyone who looks at you for more than 3 seconds.

He disliked the beach with a burning passion, but this made up for it quite well. 

Rantarou Amami

He lets his eyes generously roam around your figure before speaking.

You can tell he is enjoying the view, which makes you feel confident in yourself but also embarrassed...

He tries to be smooth and compliment you without sounding too creepy, but anyone can tell how lovestruck he is with you (except you of course). 

Whenever Ouma someone comments about your “relationship” he’ll just laugh and ask you to ignore them. You two get teased quite a lot. 

Will invite you to play volleyball with him or something silly like building a sandcastle, honestly just any excuse to spend time with you.

You two catch each other’s gazes a lot. In fact you could almost swear his eyes were glued to you that day. 

He’ll “accidentally” catch you watching the sunset by yourself and join you. 

Kokichi Ouma

His heart nearly jumps out of his chest when he sees you.

He’s eyeing you without a lot of shame.

When you ask him if you look good, he gives you a resounding no before leaving you by yourself to bury Kiibo in the sand. 

That hurt you! And it didn’t make sense...wasn’t he looking at you all weird and fuzzy just now? Did he just want to mess with you?

Of course he notices how sad you were by his answer so he apologizes in his own bizarre way and tells you look really good...by which then he starts blushing and you notice just how honest he is being with you right now. He just didn’t want to admit you looked cute in that swimsuit.

He spends the rest of the day making up to you. He invites you to torture Kiibo and Maki by splashing them with buckets of water but you’d rather not get killed, so you offer to build a sandcastle with him or collect shells. It doesn’t appeal much to him but he’ll take anything just to be with you.

Expect him to buy you your favorite flavor of Panta too. 

Little things he only does for his cute crush~

Shuichi Saihara

His first reaction is to look away.

He doesn’t want to creep you out...because you just look so good and?? whoa??

You ask him if he’s okay, because he’s all red and hot and sweating nervously. 

He gives you a weak laugh and claims that he’s just not used to the heat, all while looking elsewhere. You sort of get the hint and giggle.

He does...eventually...after a couple of hours...manage to tell you you look really good, and that that bathing suit compliments you a lot...all while looking like he’s about to faint.

If you’re too hot he’ll offer you his hat so you can protect your head from the sun.

Kaito Momota

Unlike the other guys, Kaito is way more obvious regarding his crush, almost too painfully obvious actually. His first reaction is to yell in his loudest voice just how beautiful and good you look! Everyone hears and stares at you both and you mentally curse him.

He doesn’t care, no! He wants to show the world just how beautiful and great and awesome you look!

He won’t shut up about it, really. He’s gushing nonstop and while it can get annoying, it is kind of endearing to you! 

Like, really, expect him to be all over you. Everyone’s just rolling his eyes at him and telling him to shut up, they get it.

He’ll ask you if you wanna go swim with him, even if you refuse he’s gonna pick you up and throw you in the water just as an excuse to be close to you. 

Will probably invite you to go stargazing with him at night if we’re going full token beach episode here.

Kiibo

First of all good luck trying to get a literal robot to go to the beach. It’s literally hell for him. 

But in the event that he does, somehow, agree to accompany you...

He will stop functioning for a couple of seconds upon looking at you in your bathing suit.

kiibo.exe stopped functioning.

He’s going full red and stutter and can’t even bring himself to look at you--

But he still politely tells you that you look very good. 

He’s sweating so much, he had no idea he had this much oil in him (rofl)

Gets a bit overprotective of you when others look at you in a funny way--you’re really exposed and he doesn’t want you to get hurt! Who knows what these people might do to you?

But really they’re just looking at you both wondering why the hell is a robot sunbathing. 

Gonta Gokuhara

Covers his eyes instantly! Much to your disappointment...

Asks you if it’s okay for him to look!

He’s really, really shy and doesn’t want to make you uncomfortable, especially you of all people!

Really, the beach makes him really overwhelmed. Is it really alright to stare? He’s so scared of coming across as rude or perverted...

You laugh and reassure him it’s alright, you’re supposed to wear a bathing suit when you go to the beach! Like any normal person you know!

But he insists that it’s too much for him and he has to be the perfect gentleman for you...

Really he’s making such a big deal out of this.

Everyone rolls his eyes at you both. 

Eventually though he gets over his shyness and manages to tell you you look very pretty in whatever garment you decide to bring to your afternoon together.

That makes you very happy...

Til you ask him to rub sunscreen on your back and he faints.

Ryouma Hoshi

Yuck, the beach. He hates the beach. Too many people, too many annoying children.

But when he sees you, oh boy.

He coughs and tells you you look ”hella attractive”.

You’re used to his more...crude manner of talking, so you don’t take offense--that’s just his way of saying you look good, which makes you happy!

When you turn your attention elsewhere you can literally feel his gaze burning on you even if he’s out of sight. You just know that he’s looking.

Apologizes if his staring is too uncomfortable, but tells you this is the best you’ve ever looked. 

Spends the day flirting with you in a not so subtle way. 

You’re used to it.
