Why is Shadow using guns when he could use chaos powers? Cause why not and it’s fun and it’s a game? It’s convenient in way too. Like Why waste your stamina normally or wear yourself away when you can use assist items or objects? . . . Chaos Spears in a sense is like you’ll be wasting him wasting own chaos energy if you use chaos powers (eg. chaos spear.). So why use when alternate fill methods exist?  You already have 2 chaos gauges already to go fill or use. Fun but because since it’s considered pointless,  it’s denoted as a fun killer by a lot? . . . Interesting cause it does give variety and something more new to mess with. You also have swords or sword like, or weapon vacuum weapons, vehicles, and special weapons, etc.. These weapons also can make it easier to fill up the hero or evil gauge too It can also be used extend the invincibility of hero of evil. . . . Those types (and if I recall correctly, the normal invincibility)  make your weapons becomes infinite as  long as the depleting gauge doesn’t go  empty (So destroy, defeat things or heal things to fill or extend gauge depending on circumstances). You also fight devil doom with Super Shadow and he has Chaos Spears. Chaos Spear was merely a special attack in 2 player mode of SA2 or vs. Shadow on the Ark Runway. . . . Chaos Spear is pretty lame though in 06 unless it’s boss Shadow or you are in Chaos Boost 2 or 3 (but the full chaos lance is yuck except for boss Shadow). And the Spear Of Light is only really useful after destroying one part of Solaris with Silver. And after that it’s just Mostly Sonic and switching to stall to defeat Solaris unless you know what you with Shadow but even then it’s kind of boring. . . . The only times I really enjoyed Chaos Spear was vs. Devil DOOM and Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
