A boy who at age 14 was lured into a mirror realm and corrupted by Runelord, the curse of his power placed upon him, making him into The Dark Mage.

An insatiable hunger for the power of others, plenty of magic abilities, and the inability to age from what we've seen, this is an immortal teenager (in my opinion, calling him an adult is the same as saying "I know she acts and looks like a child but she's actually a 10 thousand year old dragon-")

Anyway, he starts out evil, capturing Arle to take her power. She decapitates him, he keeps fighting until she finishes his head, he somehow survives, this is never spoken about again. But throughout the series he develops into a better person. Never truly good, but often leaning that way in modern times. He's a nomad who lives in caves

But also, he is socially inept, and says things that are...very easily taken the wrong way. Basically, this guy is the KING of accidental innuendo. And he never means it that way. Saying I WANT YOU meaning I want your power.

He hates being called a pervert, creep, etc. Because he can come across like that due to the aforementioned stuff.

Arle, Rulue, and The Dark Prince tease him about this. He does try to correct himself when he realizes his mistake

He's one of those characters that can work as both a serious and comedic character, but leaning to far in one direction can ruin him

As much as I want to be a wholly joyous about the fact that Henry Kissinger is finally fucking dead, as he deserves... There's a lot of me that can't help being upset with. With the fact that he lived to 100 years old. He got better medical care, better housing, and a better, more stable life for those 100 years than billions on this planet ever going to see and he did it specifically through exploitation, state sanctioned murder, and lies. He lived to 100 years comfortably on a legacy of violence that rarely threatened his personal comfort. I want to be joyous that he's finally dead, because the world IS better with him dead, but the reality is he won a long time ago.

Yes you’re not fatphobic but are you capable of talking about fat people in a positive manner without saying somft/round/rotund/squishy/tumby/chumby/any other variation of the sort. Are you capable of talking about us in a positive manner without it being about beauty or attractiveness. Are you able to talk about fat people in general without being dehumanizing or infantilizing. Can you treat fat people with respect.

As somebody who has struggled with mental health all of their life and still does, Jinx's romance with Ekko means the world to me.

I'm sick and tired of people considering mentally ill people just "not interested in love" or, on the other side, "not healthy enough to be loved". Which is utterly stupid. Ekko falling for Powder but clearly showing signs of wanting to learn more about Jinx and on his way to love her too, realizing that her damaged past and issues do change her but she's still his girl. It's brilliant writing.

He can't be a savior to her, because there's nothing to save. There's nothing to fix. The whole message Jayce gives with "there's beauty in imperfections" goes hand in hand with Powder's "sometimes taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind". Ekko goes from wanting to save her to wanting to see more of her and leaving Powder behind to know about Jinx. With Ekko loving Jinx nevertheless it shows that mentally ill people can be loved. And with Powder reciprocating and Jinx making amends with Ekko (with the romantic context behind already seen) it's breaking the whole stereotype of her being this "insane maniac with no remorse and unable to show love".

So I guess what I want to say is that their relationship would've worked in another universe, but I want to believe it could've worked in this one (with time), too.
