Parents are so fucking annoying. Especially BLACK parents like leave me tf alone.
So you know SYEP right? The summer youth program? If not it’s basically you sign up for it and you get a summer job from them.
So signed up right? Cool. Got accepted in. Needed proof of documents etc etc did that COOL.
They send a email TODAY saying I need to change 3 things about the official documents I sent in okay cool. Go to the website to change it.. but the website isn’t allowing me to change anything. Now I’m thinking.. they want me to change the shit.. but the website won’t let me?? So now tf what?
I tell me my mother about it bc I’m stressed tf out and she’s getting on my ass about it like it’s my fault? It’s damn tf not. And it’s not even just this issue like there’s other issues that happened before in the past too and I’m getting very.. VERY tired.
Now I see why some ppl just cut off their parents and stop speaking to them. Or just have no contact with them bc parents (some) are annoying and unbearable.
Hey bookie 😚😚
Sorry I’m just answering this my inbox is filled 😭😭😭.
Black parents are a lot for sure!!! And I have a Caribbean mother so I definitely get where you’re coming from. With that being said try your best to ignore her. Easier said than done Ik 😭😭😭 I’m definitely one to explode when I’m provoked. Put in some headphones block it out. I go thru the same thing with my mom sometimes. It’s their childhood trauma being projected and misplaced

I have a SYEP assistant (summer youth employment program) with me in my class this summer and as I was explaining to my students about my stories, it turns out the SYEP actually started Bullets & Spells before we met. My influence is unmatched

years upon years of this simple process
Step 1: find a species you really like
Step 2: research into that species to find facts about its atomy
Step 3: headcannons, this is usually the both fun and grueling part
Step 4: create you're character. Most of the time (for me) they start off with little to none lore
Step 5: daydream.
Step 6: brainrot.
Step 7: publish (the hardest part for me)
Syep 8: enjoy your new little thing you've made. Or don't, it's not up to me.
I'm curious--how do you guys go about creating your OCs?

BODY OF CHRIST
Not the nuns of God; the sex of the church stink and spun of fishnets covering fishy twat, these nuns hid nasty things under their habits. The Catholic itch none of us supposed, unscrupulous cunts pirate the words they endorse from their holy book. Michael sat behind me would breath about how -"not a word of this is in the Bible" before picking further at his father's brute slashes. Kiss your teeth. The children are sinners. I never wished to walk the clinquant syeps, anyways.
Gasher fucks with blue residing outside the head office. I'd stolen a bike at dawn and spent breakfast spray painting it flamingo, blotched knees and fingers crusted now. But I've been called inside Mr Robbins' office; he abhors scuffed nippers like me lacking pious but generous in fucked sociality. He knew where I'd be in years to come. The proper scary headmasters you read about with big, fuck-off noses; virgin ambiance for someone with plenty of offspring. His office was brown, shit-stained wood laced with crucifix like crack, I could've burst into flames under Christ's gaze as weren't a corner his eyes didn't reach. Half the reason I'd skip mass was the fear of being struck by lightning upon entry. I was a fucking avid sinner from young. Though, if a dirty old man like Mr Robbins could intrepidly meet God's eyes and is able to spew mindless holy shit all day, I don't think Jesus will be the one to kill me.
Dolly shoes scuffed and drag along the peeling varnish and instead of locking Jesus' eyes, mine meet Arthur Green's perforation under ginger mug. He was in the knick metaphorically, we would soon both be disposed of. I won't know him well, even of we were kicked out of Catholic school on the same day, but seeing him and I knew my sins for todays homily. That metaphor ran down Arthur's sweaty neck; it's not convivial to joke about cannibalising Jesus Christ's body but when -'Body of Christ' is written in a tacky font on a tub of alter bread, I had to jack it under my blazer.
How to make the world stop smelling like sect; relish in sucking on God's depilated balls. The nuns munch on those whilst I feast on Christ's bread like crackers, but I recognise this scran hammered the nails into the car tire.
I'm shit though, I'm shit so no one is surprised. I couldn't credit in the wake of all the shit I'd done in this hypercritical hole, all the sins, this is how they boot me.
"Im furious... And disappointed. You've disrespected the church. You will leave this school, now."
Im picking at the crusted paint, and I know I'll struggle with religion for the rest of my transient and deficient days; if God has a plan for me, I hope its fucking fantastic but quite honestly I don't give a shit. I'd sooner be swallowed by a basehead. I was a dirty numb angel. I could've said something smart, but...
"Stop eating little boys for breakfast you nonce, look at the size of your primordial pouch."
So that was that. No aggrandisement, just leaving and walking and pitching inside my own skull where I obtain plenty of nothingness. I have luxury there, but only if I dig hard enough. If I plunge my fingers deep enough, i'll stop smelling that bible smell.

help a black trans teen move out
hi 😳 i’m 18 & i’m living with an abusive m*ther increasingly off the shits. she’s been wanting me out since my birthday months ago and sometimes goes into yelling fits just because i’m still here, occasionally threatening physical violence or the destruction of my electronics. she says by late june she’s demanding i give her $1k (which, um... no thanks!) or find another place to live. so yeah, i would really like to skedaddle, preferably without her knowing because i so very much want to never interact with her ever again.
i’m located in NYC and would prefer to stay here for the time being since i’m still in the process of legally transitioning & getting an ID (i have to wait like at least 12 more weeks just to get my birth certificate updated so i’ll probably just bite the bullet and get an ID with my deadname on it until then 😑), and am planning on participating in SYEP this summer.
i have about $2k in savings ($3k if i receive the maximum stipend from SYEP) so i can help with rent for a bit if needed but i’m unemployed, i’ll need a new phone (possibly laptop as well?) once i leave, i occasionally need to buy myself food, and there are currently uncontrollable barriers to my ability to get a job. these barriers should hopefully be eliminated in a few months if all goes well. i am fully vaccinated as of may 27 2021.
please DM me or send me an ask if you have any leads or know somewhere i can stay (before anyone asks, youth shelters are not an option for me for personal reasons), as well as discussing any details/logistics. in the incredibly fortunate event that any of you can provide me temporary housing, i’ll need help getting a suitcase for some of my belongings (i’ll reimburse you on the spot if you need to buy a new one) on leaving day since again, i don’t want my mother to know about this.
please reblog this even if you can’t help in other ways. thank you.

id rather die than put away my laundry
its sitting in the basket waiting for me to put it in my dresser but I don’t wanna! in fact I will make a tumblr post complaining about it rather than just doing it. why has my brain gotten hung up on this one simple syep? who can say. I sorted, washed, dried, and folded them, but putting them away is torture. need any new clothes? just take them out of the basket. I am a normal functioning individual

The process of bookmaking is more intricate than one might have originally expected it to be. For me, personally, I found the syep of printing to be the most fascinating as it is much more industrialized and complex than a simple printer spewing out page by page.
The ten distinct steps are:
1) The accumulation of raw materials, such as paper stocks, variations of ink, and the type of covers.
2) Designing the book: While a seemingly simple step, multiple factors weigh into this such as the page and typeface size and style, the usage of weight and color, etc.
3) Typesetting is the third step, though it is the first step in the manufacturing process. Here, the electronic manuscript is converted into the proper style, producing a “galley” of the text, which is then proofread.
4) Then, “lasers” are produced, which is the exact layout of the pages but printed on regular paper which is then reviewed by the publisher to make sure it is accurate and correct.
5) Filming, which is a peculiar step, is next. Here, negatives are taken of each page to produce the opposite of what will be printed. The negatives are thoroughly checked to ensure there are no issues.
6) Here, the negatives are then “stripped” into the correct placement on a large sheet known as a “goldenrod” or “flat”. This is to ensure that all the text is properly lined up.
7) A rather interesting step, each flat is photographed, the negatives being put onto an aluminum sheet called a “plate”. The parts of the plate that contain text or illustrations are then doused with chemicals that attract ink to ensure the text will print when it is on the press.
8) The prints are the sent to a press. If it only requires one color, it will only go through the press once. The prints go through the press once per color.
9) The pages are then printed and dried and are sent to a bindery, the flats are folded into book “signatures” which are properly folded 32 or 64 page sections, which are then fully connected in the right order. This process also includes connecting the spine, trimming the edges, etc.
10) The final step, now that the book is actually complete, is quality assurance checking, which is to run a series of tests on certain steps in the process to make sure it is properly being created and distributed.

I watched Just Mercy with my family tonight and I thought it was a great movie I cried but I think I made one of my friends uncomfortable bc I texted her that I think the death penalty is horrifying and I can’t comprehend how people believe in it after watching the electric chair scene in the movie and sobbing and based on her awkward response I think she believes in the death penalty so that’s a bit awkward. Anyways how have things been going at your job recently?
I didn’t mean for this answer to be so long but here we are.
I’ve been working in criminal justice reform spaces for some time now and something that’s really, really challenging is figuring out how to meet people where they are. Knowing that the government should not be in the business (and it is a business) of executing people based on evolving moral standards and empathy because killing people is wrong no matter who is doing it makes sense to you and me, but many people do not feel the same way (although a lot of people support capital punishment because killing people is wrong, which is wild to me). To people who support retributive justice, restorative justice principles are radical and even dangerous. It’s very easy for people to dismiss exonerations as evidence of the system “working,” even though if you asked them to spend 14 years behind bars (the average amount of time the 367 people who have been exonerated by DNA testing in this country so far spent in prison) they would probably not be too happy about it. It’s also easy for people to agree that the death penalty is wrong for people who are innocent, but most of the people sentenced to death are not. (It should be noted that the Supreme Court ruled in Herrera v. Collins that, unless there was a technical error during a person’s trial, evidence of innocence alone is not enough to overturn a conviction or death sentence because, if it were, the court would be overwhelmed by innocence claims, which is absolutely fucking NUTS—Scalia literally wrote that there’s no constitutional basis for consideration of evidence of innocence. So even if you are innocent, good luck getting off death row, especially because people sentenced to death do not have a right to a lawyer for the appeals process and most appeals have to be filed within a certain amount of time and can only be filed once.)
Many people do not know someone impacted, wrongfully or otherwise, by the criminal legal system and do not live in overpoliced communities, and by virtue of being white do not believe racial bias exists. So you have to figure out how to make reform personal to them. Frequently, this appeal can be made economically. Really, what has made criminal justice reform more and more a bipartisan issue is that our criminal legal system places an enormous economic burden on taxpayers and state and federal budgets. It costs much more to house someone on death row than in prison, partially because of the litigation costs. That money is coming out of taxpayers’ pockets. I worked on a project for a year that works with corrections agencies to reduce and reform solitary confinement and spent a few days in touring prisons in Louisiana, and the staff there were skeptical as hell of us and what we were asking them to do. But segregation units are expensive, and corrections officers who work in them have higher levels of stress and poor health outcomes, so we were able to appeal to them that way. It’s terrible to reduce human beings to dollar amounts, but for a lot of people it’s the only way to get through to them.
If this is a topic that interests you, I definitely recommend reading Just Mercy if you haven’t read the book, and also checking out Bryan Stevenson’s HBO documentary, True Justice. End of Its Rope: How Killing the Death Penalty Can Revive Criminal Justice by Brandon L. Garrett gets really deep into the data on the death penalty’s disparate impact on low-income communities and communities of color, and shows that the vast majority of death sentences and executions are coming from only a few counties. If you’re interested in the history of the electric chair specifically, Old Sparky: The Electric Chair and the History of the Death Penalty by Anthony Galvin is fascinating (Thomas Edison used to stage press conferences to electrocute animals—wild stuff), and Galvin unfortunately makes the accurate prediction that since it has become more and more difficult for states to obtain lethal injection drugs, we will see a resurgence in the use of the electric chair—which we’ve already seen in Tennessee. (Another not-so-fun fact—the Supreme Court ruled in Bucklew v. Precythe that if you object to your method of execution on an Eighth Amendment claim, you must then propose an alternate way for the state to execute you and you have to prove that it will cause you less pain.)
The job is going okay. Lately it’s been a lot of conference calls, research, and report- and letter-writing. I miss being in our office and seeing my co-workers, because I really like them. We’ve put most of our work on the back burner to focus on COVID-19. It’s really difficult to try and deal with this crisis under our dumb governor and even dumber mayor. New York has more cases than Italy and Cuomo still doesn’t want us to use “scary words” like “lockdown” and has consistently been late in taking precautionary measures. It’s infuriating to have the entire country sucking Cuomo’s dick on social media while he uses his insane popularity rating to cut Medicaid and roll back bail reform so we can crowd even more people into Rikers, where the infection rate is seven times higher than in the general city population. Makes so much sense, Andrew, thanks. (I literally had to go take a walk and cool off when I read the budget lmao.) We also have to face the fact that the NYC government is going to have to make about $2 billion in budget cuts and the mayor has already cut programs like SYEP. On a more positive note, things are very tentatively looking like they could be getting a little better in NY. The death rate is really high but it seems like hospital admissions are starting to plateau a bit. There’s a lot of really good research going on worldwide. If we can get everyone on the same page about what we need to be doing to flatten the curve, I’m hopeful things can keep improving.

knuckles used his strong hands and spread sonics plump ass, he smiled and shook his tail to show off his sexy ass “knuckles why don’t you show jack how to eat a man out?~~~” knuckles smiled and pushed his snout between sonics soft butt and began to lick his pretty pink hole, jack watched knuckles long tongue slide in and out of sonics ass as he spread his curvy ass “oooo~~ aaaa that feels so good~~~” sonic wiggled his butt as knuckles ate him until he stopped, knuckles syepped aside after demonstrating and sonic looked right back at jack, spreading himself for jack. jack saw both his perfect hole and his dripping slit from behind “come here jack, show me what you learned~~~”
Jack would watch and never take his eyes of Sonic and Knuckles as he started to lick Sonic’s pink hole and eat out his ass showing Jack what to do, his face went red and flustered as he got a little hard as he watched, once Knuckles finished and moved Jack listened to Sonic before nodding shyly as he would move behind Sonic before he started to lick the hedgehog’s pretty pink asshole as well while he gently held onto Sonic’s perfect legs as he did his best eating out Sonic’s ass for the first time.
