i'm really just.... shocked. but also i'm sad for kyle and for the team and staff that clearly trust him and now it's all just extremely new territory at a time when pivotal contracts/extensions are almost ready to be signed like. i can't see this being a smart move in the long run honestly... idk who is available in the gm market, but the whole thing saddens me. i don't get how you go from being ready and willing to sign an extension... hearing about personal trouble the gms been having... supposedly talking it out with him (and still being confused) and then ultimately firing him when he comes back with a counteroffer that would make his stress worth it to him? when you have all the money in the world in that org????? i don't think it's 100% black and white, but like there are levels of ego and disagreement here that they probably aren't being transparent about and it saddens me to think how much the landscape of the leafs could change without kyle there. he was super close to some of these players and respected by everyone, and i don't want all the good work and relationship building just gone down the drain like that. esp if they're just gonna hire someone fucking incompetent in the end, but hey... maybe they're leaning toward something good. not feeling good after that press conference tho! anywya thanks for letting me rant fljsdklf
