It wouldn’t be a Chaotix story if it didn’t end in a sour way for them. Turns out Sand Dollars aren’t very high when converted into...Mobian dollars? Rings? xD Either way, it’s a fun little moment to end the story and, sadly, the Sonic Universe comics. We could have gotten future stories about each of the Freedom Fighters, but I’m glad this spin-off ended on something.
And it’s not a bad ending! The detective dudes are back to their normal lives and, ah, playing about with their Sand Dollars. It’s about as happy ending these doofs can get. At least Vector got himself a cool hat like the one from his imagine spots!

Happy ending for Razor! For the time being anyway. His and Coral’s friendship is still cute as heck and I’m happy he finally feels at home with her at the shrine.
I appreciate the lil detail that even Crusher the Chao sees this bunch of aquatic Mobians as family, even though he seems to really enjoy freaking out Pearly.

If it wasn’t clear from the start, it’s revealed most of what Princess Undina did was to help the Chaotix “rescue“ her by playing innocent and learning the tricks of the trade. It’s just only now that Vector and the others realize she was savvy about most of everything all along, and now that she has the pirate ship to herself, she’s gonna use it to sail the world instead of going back home.
She also strong-arms Echo into joining her as her protector while out on her escapades. What is it with Meropian fish peeps and being reckless and/or requiring bodyguards? xD

Charmy goes and does a “LEROY JENKINS!“ and steals the keys to the ship. This spurns the climax and the Chaotix leaving with the Setting Dawn’s ship. The character expressions are very on-point. xD

Man, vector looks awesome in a hat and travel jacket. Loving the almost turban and skull helmet too, but really, Vector, you gotta stay on track! This is life or death out here!

Razor and Blade splitting off from each other yet again, and just like before it is bitter on both ends. It's ultimately for the best.
Razor does best when he’s with his found “family“ at the Eusebes Shrine, having forsaken his pirating ways and use his skills in being Coral’s bodyguard with a crush. Blade, on the other hand, is merely acting on the same instincts since she and Razor were abandoned as kids. Everyone else other than the pirates could never accept them ‘cause its kill or be killed.
Its all pretty tragic really.

The Pirates of the (now stolen) Setting Dawn are ready to make their comeback, though even that is undercut by their goofy teammates. xD I appreciate this villain team that are total scoundrels out for power, but having half of the crew be total dweebs who ain’t afraid to get their hands dirty. It would have been nice to see more of this gang and Captain Villain Posture here!
