"do it scared" ok but I would like to do something some other way occasionally. Like at least once. For a change.

My mum dropped new family lore today when she off-handedly mentioned being diagnosed with "fibrositis" in her early 30s.
I'd never heard of it before, so I Googled it and what's it called these days? Fibromyalgia. I said, Mum, do you mean to tell me you've lived 40+ years with fibro pain, and no one's done anything about it?
She said, "You can do something about it? The doctor back then just said I needed to have a baby."
Perplexed, I asked, "Why would that help?"
"Because then I wouldn't have time to think I was in pain."
So, anyway. Haha. As soon as this migraine stops, I'm hopping on a plane back home to commit murder. Anyone want to come?

I hate the fucking narrative that "following the doctors orders" will fix chronic illness or disability or make it more valid.
"Well have you done what the doctor told you?" Does it minimize my pain or make me less disabled if I haven't?
"Is there anything you can do to help it?" It's a fucking chronic condition that is always there. So. Not really.
News flash that the doctors diagnosing usually aren't disabled and therefore cannot actually know how to help because the system is so abelist. I have HSD, POTS, and Fibromyalgia and use an arm crutch just to walk. I'm told to exercise, think about my conditions differently, and that it's "not such a big deal because lots of people deal with it."
Sure exercise can help, but how are people supposed to do that if they can't stand up most days and collapse from walking? How am I supposed to find ways around my disability to exercise if I'm not allowed to walk, run, lift weights, or raise my heart rate above a certain point? The very idea that disabled and chronically ill people just need to exercise and move around to cure mobility or pain issues is inane and unrealistic. You can't get medication unless you exercise, and you can't exercise without medication, and it all cycles over and over again. Disabled and chronically ill people are valid whether or not they follow doctors orders.

Funny things I found out playing with language setting in Netflix while looking episode 15:
Chilchuck's scream sounds HAUNTED in brazilian portuguese. Give it a try if you can.
(You can hear it here)
In spanish dub, Senshi says: "tocó mis senos de hombre", which means "he touched my man boobs" in Spanish. And I think that's the best dub line one so far.

"when i was your age, i was working three jobs to help support my family" and "when i was in college i was sleeping on a mattress on the floor and living off of soup"
YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO THAT. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO DO THAT. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN TO YOU THAT THIS ISN'T A CHARACTER-BUILDING LESSON, IT'S JUST BAD
