Desperate to survive, and hellbent on vengeance, a mortally wounded Dr. William Birkin injects himself with the fruits of his dedicated-- nay obsessive labor. The G virus was flawed however, while healing his injuries as expected, it quickly began to mutate out of control as the virus began to take over both his body and mind... Survival was not something thought possible, but at great cost the impossible can be achieved...

8 years later, William works alongside Rebecca Chambers as a fellow researcher, seeking to unlock the secrets of the recently discovered uroboros virus coming in from Africa. While the higher ups aren’t particularly thrilled about having William remotely anywhere near a virology lab, let alone out of prison, they’re well aware he’s likely the only man who has any chance of helping them with a breakthrough.

This Au primarily focuses on William Birkin and the hypothetical thought ‘what if Birkin had somehow managed to survive the G virus?’. While set primarily between the 4th and 5th Resident Evil games, prior events both before and during the Raccoon City infection may be explored. Similarly, other characters and their relations, such as Hunk and Kevin Ryman, may also be explored.

Character Tags - Character tags will be used to identify and track various characters. All character tags will be labeled as the characters name; I.E anything involving Leon would be tagged using the tag #Leon S. Kennedy, William under #William Birkin, Hunk under #Hunk, etc. There may be small exceptions to this when dealing to specific groups of characters like the various USS squads in which case they’ll be tagged under something akin to #USS Alpha Team.

Other tags may be needed over time should the need arise.

I especially adore how alastor doesn’t seem bothered by nifty touching him, even though it’s been stated that he doesn’t like physical contact, which makes the fact of him picking her up and setting her down that much more heartfelt, cause we all know he could have yeeted her like football, but he didn’t. Makes you wonder just how long husk and nifty have hung around him for him to feel comfortable around them 🥺

coming to accept what i already knew

this isn't really so much about Neil Gaiman as it is about what this whole ordeal made me finally realize/accept. listening to the victims' stories, most of them are very similar to what i went through a few years ago. it was always tricky to for me to tell if what happened to me had been S/A bc there had been consent, in between the times there wasn't. but it did very much start with no consent. and i convinced myself i liked it bc hhh idk. i was 16 and naive, i guess. idk. i realize now that i was fawning. for 5 years, i was fawning. me and this person broke up in 2019, and all this time i always wondered to myself if i was just blowing things out of proportion in my head, telling myself it wasn't really that bad, it happens to everyone in every relationship, etc.

i mentioned the dubious consent to a couple friends, but they didn't really think much of it. i never told anyone else bc i was deeply ashamed and thought i was just making a huge deal out of nothing. all this time i've suppressed this, the discomfort, the self disgust, the trauma, the flashbacks. always told myself i was just being dramatic, or being immature, resentful, spiteful. but listening to these girls' stories made me realize that, no. this was all actually S/A. and that just bc there had been consent sometimes, it didn't negate the other times there wasn't. i was gaslit and manipulated into thinking it had all been my fault bc i let it happen. i could've said no. could've said don't. could've stopped, could've pulled back. but i froze. and i fawned.

i've blamed myself for this for years. and even now that i know, i still struggle with this guilt, i still blame myself. but it was him who made me feel guilty. one of the last things he said to me was that he only did those things to please me. that all he ever did was try to please me, without ever thinking of himself, and that i never appreciated it, and that it was never enough for me. that i manipulated and coerced him into being with me. but i think i see now that it was always him coercing me. it really was S/A. i can even name all the times, the where, when, and how. and i am powerless to ever do anything about it.

i can't say i'm glad about this huge realization, but. idk. i guess im just glad im not blind to it anymore at least.

i've never told anyone about this, not the whole thing. i guess i just wanted to put it out there, and bc i wonder if anyone else has had any similar realizations. but anyway. to the victims who have come forward: thank you. thank you so much. you are incredibly brave, strong, and resilient. i hope you all get the justice you deserve.

So I was in my group chat and the conversation got around to large ticking clocks and then this particular subject came up and I couldn't resist a post, (iykyk 🤣🤣🤣), original video link at the end...

Alastor walks into the main lobby, his ears twitching...

Alastor: "What is that loud mysterious ticking noise?"

Growls searching high and low as Lucifer holds in his laughter as Alastor goes frantic searching for the maddening sound.

Alastor ears twitching standing in the middle of the lobby.

Alastor: "Kinda catchy... Radio. Radio. Radio Demon. Radio. Radio. Radio Demon."

Alastor bobbing to the ticking sound.

Angel: "Angel Dust!" Popping up from behind the bar.

Alastor: "Radio. Radio. Radio Demon." Still bobbing along in his own little world.

Angel: "Angel Dust!" Pops up again.

Alastor: "Radio. Radio. Radio Demon. Radio. Radio. Radio Demon." (Continues singing in the background dancing around.)

Vaggie and Angel scream as the bomb explodes as Charlie throws it and it blows up the wall again, thanks to Alastor's quick thinking and casting a shield around it.
