Hello it’s half 11 at night and I almost forgot about my own damn event I was supposed to post today and I’m also very anxious about this so haha here goes nothing

Many of us have seen, or even joined in with 'community fics'. These are the posts that start as something stand alone and people are inspired to add onto the story. The only issue is that sometimes people add some amazing additions, but their story never gets continued...

(And introducing my crappy MS Paint text addition because I wanted to make the post look a bit more exciting)

What I would love to do is exactly what we’ve done before, where a story starts with one person and people add on in reblogs, but this time including everyone, so here’s the idea

1) Everyone who wants to take part in the project will fill out this Google Form

https:// goo.gl/ forms/ z6yD3htCKSwae87t1 Without the spaces (since links don’t go into the tag) or alternatively, I’ll reblog this with a direct link

There’s only 5 simple questions, one of which is more of a poll to see if people want the story to branch off at certain points or be linear, and there’s also a sneak peak at the start of the story

2) The deadline is January 15th, which is in 2 weeks time, and the event itself will start on January 18th (leaving a couple of days in between for me to organise everything)

This gives you plenty of time for the word to get around and for you to put your name down

3) I will then arrange an order of people based on where they preferred to be placed and post the list on Tumblr

This will be posted on the evening of January 17th and the start of the story will be posted on the morning of January 18th (UK time). It can continue at your own pace after that. There’s no rush, so don’t worry if you’re a slow writer or need some time to process your ideas

4) Remember, you don't have to write paragraphs and paragraphs. Every addition is important

Don’t look at this and think ‘oh I’m not a good writer’ or ‘I won’t write enough’. This is about a collaborative effort to make a story. Your addition will subsequently change where the story will go because the next writer will be continuing from your ideas. ALSO, if you are an artist or a gif/photo editor, feel free to also add something extra to your part of the story

That’s it really until the deadline is hit. More information will be given when this mini community event begins. After this is over, I urge others to definitely take inspiration from this and plan their own writing events since my anxiety will probably get the better of me soon

Welcome to the brand new ProjectCommunityFic tumblr blog! We’re glad to have you here!

This is the new hub for all the content surrounding Luci-morningstar’s #projectcommunityfic. Here you’ll find the latest update to the fic, fanart/writing, encouragement/feedback for the writers, and much more! 

Colleen (@aquaticember06) and I (@egopocalypse) are dedicated to helping other writers with this fic, so if you have any questions, feel free to send us an ask or DM! We’ll be happy to talk with you!

There’s also a couple of channels in the JSE Writing Community Discord server that are solely dedicated to the community fic, so feel free to join if you’re interested in chatting with other writers involved with the fic or just catching up on what you’ve missed! It’s a great place to not only share your own work, but to discover new writers as well!

The Magician and You- #ProjectCommunityFic

Welcome to the community fic I hope we can build together If you’re not participating, be sure to check the reblogs to see the most recent addition

If possible, put your additions under a read more line as to not spam everyone when this is reblogged, and tag your reblog with #ProjectCommunityFic so those who aren’t interested can blacklist it

I hope this is a good start to the story (I may have written this back in November) and allows for some creative way for each participant to show off their story-telling

It had been hours since Marvin had heard from Chase, who had promised to call him the moment he reached his house. It had been weeks since Jameson visited, and he used to visit at least twice a week. It had been months since he’d even heard anything from Henrik, and years from Jackie. His brothers, his family, were disappearing around him, and he knew exactly who was to blame, but he didn’t know how to fight back. How do you fight against a living computer glitch with a blood lust and murderous intent? Marvin had only survived this long because he knew how to hide in plain sight, or rather the magician has quite a lot of tricks up his sleeve, but guilt plagued his mind. He could have stopped this, but he just watched at it happened. He was the last remaining septic. Well… other than him.

In an attempt to fix everything and bring his family home, Marvin searched endlessly for a sign of where they could be. Chase was the last brother he was in contact with, and knowing the father better than he knew himself, he was sure Chase would go straight home to drown his sorrows in a bottle of whiskey, so maybe Chase’s home was the correct place to start. It didn’t take long for the magician to teleport inside his brother’s house, only to find it was cold and eerily silent. Marvin removed his mask, keeping it in his right hand, so he could search the area. The dimly lit rooms showed signs that Chase had returned; his hat on the coffee table, an open bottle of whiskey in the kitchen, the TV still playing a Spiderman film but it was muted. He wondered if maybe Chase had fallen asleep upstairs, praying that was the case, so slowly he climbed the stairs as they creaked underneath him.

For a moment, everything froze, as if time itself was broken, before the house was plunged into complete darkness. The hallway that was in front of Marvin now seemed like a void to nowhere. Only the distant sound of static filled the cold, stagnant air. He moved his left hand along the wall beside him, trying to remember his way through the hallway that seemed to be infinite and wishing he had some sort of light source, like a small lighter. His trusty cat mask was still clutched tightly in his right hand. The static made his throat close up in panic, causing him to suck in a deep breath as he steadied himself. Marvin was suddenly overcome by the feeling that he shouldn’t be here, but he needed to finally stop hiding and save his brothers, if he could.

As Marvin tried to locate the source of the static in the endless hallway, he realised maybe charging head first into what was clearly a trap was the wrong approach. After all, that’s how Jackie and Henrik went missing. They refused assistance and went in alone. Marvin only knew one other person who could help him, one other person who he hoped he could trust, but also feared taking them directly to Anti. With his eyes closed, he carefully put his mask back where it belonged and thought of his last remaining ally in this fight, feeling his magic stir at fingertips. With a few muttered words in an ancient language, Marvin found himself in an unfamiliar house, yet it felt like he had been here so many times before.

That’s when you turned the corner, startled by the crackle coming from your living room, only to see Marvin the Magnificent himself standing there, a concerned look in his terrified eyes and he huffed out of breath. “Hey, Y/N. Sorry for the unexpected visit, but I need your help.”

1 week left to join #ProjectCommunityFic

What is it?

Project Community Fic is a way of getting everyone together to write a story whilst making sure no one is left out. The will be a set order so everyone knows who is before and after them, and by the end of it, we will have a complete story written by everyone involved

But I'm not a good writer

You don't have to be 'good'. If you can write even a small paragraph that helps progress the story in the right direction, you can join. No need to worry about if English isn't your first language either because a few spelling/grammar errors won't effect your part of the story

I'm too anxious to join

So am I friend. I'm the one arranging the damn thing and my anxiety is skyrocketing, but it will be fun and when you can look back on the full story and see how your part effected it, you'll be glad you took the chance

I can't write serious stuff though

Although the story is likely to be angsty, there's always room for fun, goofy intermissions. If a character is trapped and struggling, you could write a flashback to a time when they were happy. There's always a way you can add as long as it progresses the story

#ProjectCommunityFic Update

I give up. I honestly can’t cope anymore. I’m too nervous to push people if they don’t respond within a certain number of days. I’m stressed and think about it way too much, wondering if people are even paying attention anymore

So you know what? It’s up to you guys now. The order is there. You know your place in the list. It’s now down to you. If the story comes to a sudden halt, you guys can ask the next person if they’re still writing and you guys can help this continue

Because I can’t anymore. I was excited for this project, but now I never want to try and arrange anything again. I’ll stick to participating in other people’s events

I’d love to do it! It sounds like fun!

I know a lot of you have seen @huffletrax‘s post that started as a simple thing and turned into a back and forth full on fic (which is so damn fun to watch progress and add to by the way) but I was thinking about how some people will add a part, but their addition will never be continued

Would people be interested if I made like an official community event for this? Where people are put into an order so everyone gets a chance to add their piece to the story?

I already have ideas (and by that I mean I have a post in my drafts and a google form set up if I ever decide to do this), but with the secret santa happening next month, I’ll probably wait until the new year

If you’re not that familiar with Anti, I suggest Say Goodbye, Always Watching, Kill Jacksepticeye, the Silent Movie (Jamie’s first appearance) and Dark Silence (which I linked above) as they’re the major appearances

Do you need extensive knowledge on the jse egos for the community fic? Because I'm more of a casual fan and I'd like to participate, but if I need to properly educate myself beforehand I'd like a warning. (Or maybe someone could provide a brief summary of each one, or link to videos I can watch in order to learn more?)

I wouldn’t think so, but it could help with writing their character, especially since after the beginning, I don’t know what direction the story will go in. But if you want to kinda get used to their canon personalities, I’d suggest this;

Marvin’s first (and kinda only) appearance but despite the video and how much he fails, people see him as having actual magical powers (and lots of people like the idea of him having long hair)Schneep’s first appearanceChase’s first appearance and TIE which shows his depressionJamie’s first appearanceDark Silence since I took some inspiration from that for writing the beginning of the story (the link skips to the important part)

Jackie is kinda a goofy superhero who tries but isn’t that good at it and also doesn’t really have any super powers. I think that’s all you really need to know about him because his only canon appearance is mainly him being scared by Welcome to the Game XD

If anyone wants to add on anything, feel free to because I’m tired and probably forgot some good examples

Hey! I've been battling writer's block for a year now and came across the fic project, so I signed up! Maybe this is the way the damn block will finally take its leave.
