In The Prayer Garden

Inspiration For Our Daily Christian Walk

Let my prayer be set before You as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. (Psalm 141:2)

"The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious." (Isaiah 60:13)

Jesus Christ rejected at Nazareth

The people there doubted Jesus Christ, therefore He performed miracles elsewhere. Today, people still doubt Him and wonder why they feel like something's missing. It's a fall from God's grace.

The fall of humanity started in the Garden of Eden when the enemy, in the form of a serpent said "Did God really say...?" How does the enemy tempt you into straying from your straight path towards God?

1. The enemy questions God's Word

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

and he tests you if you know God's Word.

2. The enemy contradicts the God's Word

⁴ Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.”

—‭Genesis 3:4

and you, with your lack of faith, might start to doubt the Word.

3. The enemy gives you a false sense of power on your own, outside of God's Word and authority;

“For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

—‭Genesis 3:5, The Temptation and Fall of Man

convincing you that life is better if you do not listen to God.

If you are not firmly rooted in the Word of God, you will allow room for the enemy to come in. If you are not familiar with God's Word, you will believe anything the enemy that lives in this world says, leading you to disobey God.

Increase your faith in God by living a prayerful life; and by reading and meditating daily on God's Word. Walk in Christ-likeness, reflecting His light and love to the world. Let the fruits of everything you say, pray and do, be reaped in God's time, according to your faith.

I have been thinking and praying about praying without ceasing and it's made me realize just how much there is to pray about. There are so many people we come in contact with and we could all use prayer.

I have been praying before my shifts that God would help me connect with people and know who needs some prayers.

Today I got to chat with a lady in the drive thru and she mentioned she is opening a business and I asked her about it, she is a witch apparently and her business is a witch shop with tea leaf readings and tarot card and such. She gave me her business card and I immediately thought, 'I am tucking this card in my scripture journal and praying for her.'

The more I seek and open myself, the more people God lays on my heart to pray for.

I know the witch stuff is pretty dark, do if anyone wants to do some battle with me, her name is Corinna.

SHORT MEDITATION ON Daily Verse

Proverbs 11:24 (NIV): One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.

What types of things can be given? Our Time, Money, Love, Other Resources, Good News of Gospel, and such

What should we do - Give or Withhold? Give freely but justly and God will decide whether we gain even more or not. He will protect us from poverty that comes from unwise over-giving. Do not be unjustly stingy. Do not be generous and unwise giver. Check your motive when giving anything whether out of cheerfulness or unwillingness (2 Corinthians 9:7)

How can we decide? For godly wisdom on whether to give or withhold, ask God (James 1:5) in prayer (Ephesians 6:18) and God promises to give answers and provide for all our needs (Philippians 4:19)

Heavenly Father, we are here to serve you. We pray for opportunities to bring you honor and glory, pointing others directly to Jesus Christ. Take away any selfish desires and replace it with a passion for your mission. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Seasonal Blues/Growing Pains

The way I just want to go ghost. The way I just want to completely disappear. I feel burdened. I feel weighted. I feel anxious. I feel lost. I feel unwanted. I feel unseen. I feel like I'm going to fade away. Evanescent. I fear for My Life. I feel unstable. I hate how My life is currently feeling and I don't know where it's going. I hate the way I feel like I can't do anything but isolate. My brows have been furrowed all day.

I don't want to be alone, but I also feel like I need to take a step back. Take some space. Be to Myself and get away from all the noise. I feel afraid that going away will tarnish relationships, but I don't have the energy to explain or maintain nor upkeep. I don't feel wanted. And I hate to say it, but a lot of these emotions and feelings stem from within Me. All of My wounding is coming up for Me to feel. Like sewage that's been backed up coming back up in a drain.

I am so tired. I don't know what to do. I'm so stressed and I'm not sure how to ease it. My mother keeps reiterating that I need to focus on My prayer Life. She's right... My PERSONAL World feels like it's ending and crumbling before My very eyes... and the identity I once built and believed Myself to be is self destructing. I'm not who I thought I was...

Hey! Could y'all please pray for me? (Again 😅) I've had this heart problem (it races when I've done basically nothing, and it feels like it stops sometimes, and I've had a check up when I was younger but the doctors said I was fine) but the last time it happened a few days ago, my heart felt like it stopped and then started to race, and I got light headed and my breathing (which is already bad) got worse. My dad and his aunt say I probably have an irregular heart, which my nan has and she's fine, I just have to go get another checkup soon. Thank you 🙏🏼💜

Prayer for May 15th

Dear Lord, we ask you to work in the middle of our conflicts.  We think, act, believe, and feel differently from one another.  We try to push our plans onto others. We create chaos instead of peace.  Help us turn to you for your plans.  Forgive us when we become selfish and want our own ways.  Remind us to reflect the love of Christ.  Guide us in resolution, forgiveness, and redemption!  We pray this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
