Kimera Automobili  K39, 2024. A new racing version of the “hyper-restomod” Lancia has been revealed. Following on from the K37 and 38, the competition version has a carbon-fibre monocoque and a completely redesigned bodykit. Kimera Automobili plan to enter the car in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for 2025. No details of of the cars powertrain have been revealed. The company says they are also working on a road legal version of the K39

INSIGHT Group B had completely upped the ante in 1984 with the introduction of the Audi Quattro S1. This specific Quattro was developed to flaunt true power within the golden era of rallying- and it certainly did show off as it was a monster.

The Quattro was very technologically advanced for its time, it implemented a four wheel drive system which had changed rallying forever. It also had a sequential gearbox and a water cooling system for the breaks. Furthermore, the Quattro also had very sophisticated aerodynamics which helped its performance vastly.

From 1984-1987, this car would soar through the Pikes Peak Hillclimb with three variations of the Quattro. As the Quattro was fully capable of tackling the terrain of Pikes Peak, it had won three times.

Okay, today my obsesion is not a car, is a driver. Michèle Mouton.

1st and only woman on winning a World Rally Championship, she started racing as a co-driver in the 1973, but her first rally as a driver was in the 1974 in the Corcega Rally, driving a 1800cc Alpine A110. She raced multiple rallies with many cars like the Abarth 131 Rally or the Lancia Stratos. In 1981, Audi choose her as her driver to test the Group 4 Audi Quattro Sport with the revolucionary AWD sistem. In that year, she won her first Rally title in the San Remo Rally. She was a driver during the big times of the dangerous Group B

Her carreer with Audi ended in the 1985, after she raced dealing with mechanical problems and the death of her father. She stopped her rally life in 1986 after winning the German Rally Championship with a Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, leaving her with 4 victories and 9 podiums on her rally carreer!

As extra information, she also raced in many other categories, like Pikes Peak Hillclimb in 1985, being the first non american driver who won the race (she was french), the first (and still the only) woman winning the race, AND BROKE THE TRACK RECORD!

The Ibishu Peregrine makes its 2nd run at the Mt. Cotton Hillclimb track. This is a modded track that is present in BeamNG.drive and is great for anyone that wants to test out their skills with powerful vehicles.

Prosegue la proficua collaborazione tra Automobili Lamborghini e la Polizia di Stato, che dura da quasi 20 anni. Stavolta l'azienda di Sant'Agata Bolognese ha donato alla Polizia Stradale una Urus Performante che entrerà in servizio a partire dal 2024. La cerimonia si è svolta a Roma oggi in piazza del Viminale, alla presenza del Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri Giorgia Meloni, del Ministro dell'Interno Matteo Piantedosi, del Capo della Polizia – Direttore Generale della Pubblica Sicurezza Vittorio Pisani e di Stephan Winkelmann Chairman e CEO di Automobili Lamborghini. Nel corso dell'evento Stephan Winkelmann ha consegnato le chiavi della vettura al Ministro dell'Interno Piantedosi. La collaborazione tra Automobili Lamborghini e la Polizia di Stato è iniziata nel 2004 e la Urus Performante è il sesto esemplare Lamborghini a entrare nella flotta della Polizia Stradale. Il Super SUV si va ad aggiungere alla Huracán LP610-4, per essere impiegata per servizi speciali tra cui il trasporto sanitario urgente di organi e plasma.   Urus Performante è stata allestita dai tecnici Lamborghini a Sant'Agata Bolognese, a partire dagli esterni, seguendo le specifiche della Polizia. La livrea è stata disegnata dal Centro Stile Lamborghini e combina il classico "Azzurro Polizia di Stato" al bianco con le fasce tricolori sui brancardi e sulla linea di cintura. Sulle portiere sono stati applicati i loghi della Polizia in pellicola riflettente, mentre sul tetto è stata installata una barra luminosa con luci Led blu a 360°, combinata con una sirena elettrica bitonale. L'abitacolo è stato personalizzato con vari elementi indispensabili per il servizio di pubblica sicurezza, tra cui un cassetto blindato porta arma, un pannello per messaggi grafici abbattibile e uno speciale vano alloggiato nel bagagliaio per lo stivaggio delle attrezzature di ordinanza e di un defibrillatore per interventi di pronto soccorso. Completa la dotazione un frigo portatile per il trasporto organi comprensivo di display e datalogger per monitoraggio costante della temperatura interna. Alpine A110 Pikes Peak, 2023. Alpine has presented the modified A110 for its first-ever entry in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Described as the most extreme A110 to date, it has been equipped with pronounced splitters and deflectors on the ends of the spoiler, in addition to the rear wing to designed to generate maximum downforce. The car's weight has been reduced to 950 kilograms while its engine produces 500hp.

My top five favorite Ken Block moments

Speedo boys worldwide were shocked in sadness over the recent passing of everybody's favorite Hoonigan hero, Ken Block. Block will be forever remembered for his tire-slaying adventures that set the internet on fire, literally.

As a tribute to the legendary Head Hoonigan In Charge, here are some of my top five favorite Ken Block moments that burnt the internet like rubber.

5) Gymkhana Five - The summer of 2012 saw Ken Block in his specially-modified Ford Fiesta rally car tackling through the streets of San Francisco in his "ultimate urban playground." Packed with jumps, elevation changes, switchback streets, and numerous obstacles, Gymkhana Five is a real thriller only Ken Block can dominate, especially on the West Coast.

4) Gymkhana - The year 2008 is the year that started it all. Ken Block took the wheel of a specially-modified Subaru Impreza WRX STi GDB-F on a deserted airfield for an advertisement for DC Shoes. No CGIs, no sped-up footage. Just Ken Block doing Ken Block things. The original Gymkhana will be forever remembered as the video that transformed the world of motoring itself. It's the video that give birth to Hoonigan and spawned copycat stunt drivers recreating his antics.

3) Electrikhana - As the world braces toward the new normal, electrification is inevitable. For Ken Block and Audi, they've adapted to the new normal by creating a specially-made electric monster machine capable of slaying tires while running on electricity. The car? The Hoonigan Audi S1 Hoonitron. The venue? Las Vegas. Block puts his Hoonitron to incredible use in last year's Electrikhana video, which is sadly his last tire-slaying adventure before his recent death. It's sad that this is the last Hoonigan monster Block tamed before he died but he had a blast burning rubber in an electric monster machine.

2) Climbkhana - In Ken Block's Climbkhana video, we saw Ken Block taking on the legendary Pikes Peak Hillclimb in his specially-developed 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V2, smoking his 1,400hp monster through 14,000ft of a monstrous mountain. Who says easier said than done? Block conquered the Peak like child's play.

1) Gymkhana Ten - Ken Block's final Gymkhana outing will be forever remembered as the biggest and the best sendoff for the HHIC before passing the baton to the newest Gymkhana hero, Travis Pastrana. It also signals the final Gymkhana adventure for the partnership between Ken Block and Ford as well. In his final Gymkhana outing, five specially-modified Ford vehicles from the Hoonicorn to the Hoonitruck took on a globe-trotting tire-slaying madness from Sweden to Texas that made this tenth Gymkhana video the peak.
