you don’t understand, peter parker just has so much love in his heart. he’s polyamorous, but it’s more than that. he loves every person with his whole heart completely.

romantically, yeah, of course. he has scrapbooks full of photographs of every single person he’s dated, keeps a memento box with something from every date. he remembers harry’s mom’s recipes, learns how to play gwen’s favorite song on the guitar, teaches mj skateboard tricks. he watches wade’s boring ass movies with him and doesn’t complain once, let’s ned win at his favorite board game, laughs at johnny’s terrible jokes in the mornings, lets felicia act like they’re nothing no matter how important they are to each other. every single one of them, he loves them wholly and completely, individually. he loves them all in ways he’s never loved before, because all of them are so different that he has to love them all in their own specific way.

even more than that, he makes sure to visit may once a week because he knows she worries about him when he’s patrolling. he brings new flowers to his parents and to ben as often as he possibly can. he gets coffee for the entire office every morning, most people venmo him for it, but he doesn’t ask them too, just brings it because he loves the environment, loves working there so much. every few weeks he brings in donuts. he makes sure everyone has a cake on their birthday, their favorite flavor, and a handwritten card signed by everyone. he makes sure scared women get home safely, he talks to the lost children to keep them company until they find their guardians, he remembers the names and faces of people he saves, recognizes them when he’s seen them more than once. he makes people feel so seen and safe in the city he loves just by loving them so much.

just, i love peter parker and they way that he loves.

Superior Spider-Man AU where this happens:

1) Spider-Man doesn’t stop Daredevil from going to far exactly one time and his tone and speech patterns are different. Matt is immediately 100% sure this isn’t the Spider-Man he knows.

2) Peter didn’t give one sanctimonious lecture to Kaine for the entire Spider-Man/Scarlet Spider team-up. Kaine is worried about his brother and increasingly convinced that something is wrong with his brother.

3)Felicia is confused and hurt after her Spider pushed her away and insulted her. There was no leaning into their kiss before pulling back. No gentle reprimands. No stuttering excuses. No attempts to make her stop stealing. Just insults and coldness. This isn’t her Spider. Is it Ben maybe? Why wouldn’t he just say that? Who is this if it isn’t Peter?

4) The only thing these three have in common is Spider-Man, but they are more than willing to put up with each other if it means getting Peter back. And if it involves a bit of kidnapping and a few crimes? Well, Peter will thank them later.

The Best Marvel Ship. Shame on you Disney and Insomniac for letting this masterpiece slide.

My very first fanfic was heavily inspired by the DLC "The city that never sleeps". The fresh take on Felicia Hardy and the dynamics between the two were just perfect from the start and all the tension that soon followed. It was perfect.

But then everything got screwed up.

Anyway really had big plans for this fic but Insomniac and Disney keeps making my life difficult because obviously they don't want a perfect ending for Peter and Felicia.

💝 A headcanon about their love language

Peter’s love language is acts of service.

Peter’s exhausted like always; despite his superhuman strength; despite his skills and his ability to fall asleep anywhere he’s about to drop dead.

He crawls through the window; never having gotten out of the habit of going up the wall and in through the window to make it easier on himself. He expects to hit the shoes and backpack he’d left; maybe the spare parts from the newest project but instead finds his bed freshly made; clean clothes at the edge of it and a plate of cold pizza with a note with a heart on it.

“Stay until he sleeps?”

Peter blinked widely. “Yeah. I- I can do that.”

He felt like he was in a trance as he walked towards the couch. He sat down, eyes stuck on the head of soft brown curls on top of the baby’s head.

“Wally?” Peter asked.

“After my father, Walter.”

He nodded. He didn’t know anything about Felicia’s family and she didn’t know anything about Peter. Not that it would be hard to look him up after she learned about his identity. He wonders if she had done that. His eyes focused on the baby again and realized that she had probably been too busy to research anything about Peter.

“Want to burp him?”

Peter blinked widely. “I’m- uhm… not exactly sanitary in the suit.”

Felicia looked amused. “He’ll live.”

She pushed her bra and blouse back into place before lifting the baby up. Wally blinked sleepily as Felicia placed him against Peter’s chest. His little head rested on Peter’s shoulder.

Peter’s breath stilled. He breathed in the soft, calming scent of the baby mixed with hints of Felicia and felt his eyes flutter shut. He was tiny. God, were all babies this small?

“What do I do?” Peter asked as he looked at Felicia again.

She shrugged and leaned back on the couch. “Not much. He’s old enough to burp himself, but he likes to be held until he does.”

Peter stared at Felicia for a long moment. He decided to bite the bullet. “Is he mine?”

Felicia’s grin grew into a smirk. She reached forward and wrapped her fingers around the baby’s middle. She pulled him back as if to take him. The baby stopped a small arm’s length away. Peter felt a tug and looked down. The baby’s hands were stuck flat to Peter’s suit.

Peter released a startled laugh. “Oh my god.”

“Yeah, do you know how difficult it is to put a baby down that can literally stick to you?”

She settled the baby against Peter’s chest again and sat back. Peter looked up and met her eyes with startled wonder.

“He’s mine?”

Felicia tilted her head and smiled softly. “Yes. He’s yours.”
