New Delhi: The government is planning to make adjustments to the production-linked incentive PLI scheme for pharmaceuticals, drones, and textile sectors. According to an official statement, these modifications are intended to stimulate investment and bolster manufacturing. An official source has stated that these sectors were chosen on the basis of their performance under the existing scheme for various products.
Higher disbursement scheme for PLI scheme
The official said, “Disbursement of production-linked incentives (PLI) for white goods (AC and LED lights) would start this month and that would push the amount of disbursement, which was only Rs 2,900 crore till March 2023.”
After the identification of sectors, a combined note for approval from the Union Cabinet will be sent. The change in disbursement includes an extension of time for Pharma sectors, and addition of products in some sectors. FDI in India: Unleashing Growth Potential in 2024
Tumblr media
Introduction
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has been a cornerstone of India's economic growth, driving industrial development, technological advancement, and job creation. As we move into 2024, the FDI landscape in India is poised for substantial growth, bolstered by a favorable policy environment, a burgeoning consumer market, and strategic government initiatives. This blog delves into the potential of FDI in India for 2024, examining the key sectors attracting investment, the regulatory framework, and the strategies investors can employ to navigate this dynamic market.
The Significance of FDI in India
FDI is crucial for India’s economic progress, providing the capital, technology, and expertise needed to enhance productivity and competitiveness. It facilitates the integration of India into the global economy, stimulates innovation, and creates employment opportunities. Over the past decade, India has emerged as one of the top destinations for FDI, reflecting its economic resilience and strategic importance.
Historical Context and Recent Trends
India's FDI inflows have shown a consistent upward trend, reaching record levels in recent years. According to the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), India attracted FDI inflows worth $81.72 billion in 2021-22, highlighting its strong appeal among global investors. The sectors that have traditionally attracted significant FDI include services, telecommunications, computer software and hardware, trading, construction, and automobiles.
Key Factors Driving FDI in India
1. Economic Growth and Market Size
India's economy is one of the fastest-growing in the world, with a projected GDP growth rate of around 6-7% in 2024. The country’s large and youthful population offers a vast consumer base, making it an attractive market for foreign investors. The rising middle class and increasing disposable incomes further fuel demand across various sectors.
2. Strategic Government Initiatives
The Indian government has implemented several initiatives to make the country more investor-friendly. Programs like 'Make in India,' 'Digital India,' and 'Startup India' are designed to boost manufacturing, digital infrastructure, and entrepreneurial ventures. These initiatives, coupled with reforms in labor laws and ease of doing business, create a conducive environment for FDI.
3. Infrastructure Development
Significant investments in infrastructure development, including roads, railways, ports, and urban infrastructure, enhance connectivity and logistics efficiency. The development of industrial corridors and smart cities further improves the attractiveness of India as an investment destination.
4. Favorable Regulatory Environment
India has progressively liberalized its FDI policy, allowing 100% FDI in most sectors under the automatic route. This means that foreign investors do not require prior government approval, simplifying the investment process. The government has also streamlined regulatory procedures and improved transparency to facilitate ease of doing business.
Key Sectors Attracting FDI in 2024
1. Technology and Digital Economy
The technology sector continues to be a magnet for FDI, driven by India’s growing digital ecosystem, skilled workforce, and innovation capabilities. Investments in software development, IT services, and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cybersecurity are expected to surge.
2. Manufacturing and Industrial Production
The 'Make in India' initiative aims to transform India into a global manufacturing hub. Key sectors attracting FDI include electronics, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, and renewable energy. The Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes introduced by the government provide financial incentives to boost manufacturing and attract foreign investment.
3. Healthcare and Biotechnology
The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the importance of healthcare infrastructure and innovation. India’s pharmaceutical industry, known for its generic drug production, continues to attract substantial FDI. Additionally, biotechnology and medical devices are emerging as significant sectors for investment.
4. Infrastructure and Real Estate
Infrastructure development is critical for sustaining economic growth. Sectors like transportation, logistics, urban development, and real estate offer significant investment opportunities. The government's focus on developing smart cities and industrial corridors presents lucrative prospects for foreign investors.
5. Renewable Energy
With a commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2070, India is focusing on renewable energy sources. The solar, wind, and hydroelectric power sectors are witnessing substantial investments. The government's policies and incentives for green energy projects make this a promising area for FDI.
Regulatory Framework for FDI in India
Understanding the regulatory framework is essential for investors looking to enter the Indian market. The key aspects of India's FDI policy include:
1. FDI Policy and Routes
FDI in India can be routed through the automatic route or the government route. Under the automatic route, no prior approval is required, and investments can be made directly. Under the government route, prior approval from the concerned ministries or departments is necessary. The sectors open to 100% FDI under the automatic route include:
- Infrastructure
- E-commerce
- IT and BPM (Business Process Management)
- Renewable Energy
2. Sectoral Caps and Conditions
While many sectors allow 100% FDI, some have sectoral caps and conditions. For example:
- Defense: Up to 74% FDI under the automatic route, and beyond 74% under the government route in certain cases.
- Telecommunications: Up to 100% FDI allowed, with up to 49% under the automatic route and beyond that through the government route.
- Insurance: Up to 74% FDI under the automatic route.
3. Regulatory Authorities
Several regulatory authorities oversee FDI in India, ensuring compliance with laws and policies. These include:
- Reserve Bank of India (RBI): Oversees foreign exchange regulations.
- Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI): Regulates investments in capital markets.
- Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT): Formulates and monitors FDI policies.
4. Compliance and Reporting Requirements
Investors must comply with various reporting requirements, including:
- Filing of FDI-related returns: Periodic filings to RBI and other regulatory bodies.
- Adherence to sector-specific regulations: Compliance with industry-specific norms and guidelines.
- Corporate Governance Standards: Ensuring adherence to governance standards as per the Companies Act, 2013.
Strategies for Navigating the FDI Landscape
1. Thorough Market Research
Conducting comprehensive market research is crucial for understanding the competitive landscape, consumer behavior, and regulatory environment. Investors should analyze market trends, identify potential risks, and evaluate the long-term viability of their investment.
2. Partnering with Local Entities
Collaborating with local businesses can provide valuable insights into the market and help navigate regulatory complexities. Joint ventures and strategic alliances with Indian companies can facilitate market entry and expansion.
3. Leveraging Government Initiatives
Tapping into government initiatives like 'Make in India' and PLI schemes can provide financial incentives and support for setting up manufacturing units and other projects. Staying updated on policy changes and leveraging these initiatives can enhance investment returns.
4. Ensuring Legal and Regulatory Compliance
Compliance with local laws and regulations is paramount. Engaging legal and financial advisors with expertise in Indian regulations can ensure that all legal requirements are met. This includes obtaining necessary approvals, adhering to reporting norms, and maintaining corporate governance standards.
5. Focusing on Sustainable Investments
Given the global emphasis on sustainability, investments in green technologies and sustainable practices can offer long-term benefits. The Indian government’s focus on renewable energy and sustainable development provides ample opportunities for environmentally conscious investments.
Conclusion
India's FDI landscape in 2024 is ripe with opportunities across various sectors, driven by robust economic growth, strategic government initiatives, and a favorable regulatory environment. However, navigating this dynamic market requires a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory framework, thorough market research, and strategic partnerships.
For investors looking to unleash the growth potential of their investments in India, staying informed about policy changes, leveraging government incentives, and ensuring compliance with local laws are critical. By adopting a strategic approach and focusing on sustainable investments, foreign investors can tap into the immense opportunities offered by the Indian market and contribute to its economic transformation.
In conclusion, FDI in India in 2024 presents a compelling opportunity for global investors. With the right strategies and guidance, investors can navigate the complexities of the Indian market and achieve significant growth and success.

Why don't you just give in? Pt.2
Fem reader
Pt.1
You
He's looking skinny, or as skinny as a man who's resembled a brick shithouse for the last two decades can be, less toned I suppose more lean. I watch as he turns away, the t-shirt he's wearing allowing for more creases, bagginess. He's forgone his mask, not that he needs it. He needs a shave instead, he almost resembles his Captain with that growth. His dirty blonde hair now sun bleached in parts and his tan somewhat deeper.
You know you want to run your fingers through it, feel the short hairs against the pads of your fingers as your hand moves against the grain. The last time you did that his hands were- My thoughts are both rudely and thankfully interrupted.
“Ohhh blimey you see the lads? Who's that with the scraggly face? The tall one?” I hear Laura beside me. Instantly the table I'm seated at falls into hushed gossip, as they always do when they see the task force. The SAS lads are a common sight around here, but the more specialist unit within it still garners mystique, enthusiastic and borderline obsessive gossip whenever they grace us with their presence.
“Ghost… you really don't recognise him without that rag on his face?” I murmur as I look down and bring my mug of coffee to my lips. Ghost... I still hate that callsign. Nickname. The lore. I mean I know how fucking vicious and brutal he can be. It's not learnt or adaptive behaviour since joining the military. As usual the table descends into the usual gossip, the girls wanting to follow them to the pub they'll inevitably end up at later on. Such is the routine when they land back on home turf, especially since they've clearly been gone a while. Eat, drink, fuck, repeat.
I zone out, leaving the others to continue their usual shite when they talk about the lads. Finishing up, I stand with my tray and head to the tray return carts, Laura shouts and tells me I will be joining them tonight and that it's final. Fuckin’ a! Wherever the lads will be, so will we, the sodding groupies they are. Though it won't take much to be out the way, they're only headed to a pub. No need to dress to impress.
Walking away from my table I steel myself, walking past Riley and his lot. I resist the urge to gob in his food, as usual. I would have done it years ago, but I've risen above that version of myself. I do however afford a quick glance down and I'm met with ochre orbs, his ochre eyes. This time I yield and look away, not wanting to walk into someone with a tray full leftover dinner.
Later I find myself freshly showered, the weather keeps flip-flopping so I decide on shorts with a tank and a hoodie with my favourite trainers. It's still warm and humid enough to warrant the summer gear, but as August stretches through to September there's a chill in the air. I look at myself in the mirror, my hair tousled and low key smokey eyes. I almost feel like I should scrub the makeup off, I'm in my mid thirties, why am I dressing like I'm fifteen years younger.
We all bundle in the taxi for fifteen minutes it takes for us to get to the town centre in Hereford. I listen as the others plan and scheme where the lads are, I give the usual non committal noises they'd expect but eventually I put my proverbial foot down. “Look, I don't want to spend all night with you lot drooling over them. We'll get pre-drinks at The Queen's Arms, some of you will get a quickie I'm sure, and then we should go somewhere better to spend our time.”
I'm met with eye rolls and smirks, it's no secret I'm not enthralled by the lads on the task force, and even under duress when plied with copious drinks I've still not spilt the beans. Finally the taxi pulls over and we hop out, the fare being prepaid since it was a group booking. I stay behind to organise a return journey later before following the girls into the pub. We're met with a wall of sound, almost raucous, as we filter in and find a table. I see Riley actually enjoying himself around the pool table for once.

The sheer amount of parallels neatly spliced into episodes 6 & 7 is making my wee head spin.
The Party Ship 2.0 - only instead of them going into Stede's aristocratic world, this time, it's in the pirate world and Stede goes all the way when he destroys their enemies this time. (1x05)
The Party Ship 3.0 - Stede goes into the Republic like Jeff the Accountant went into the Party Ship and is the centre of attention. Ed murmurs warnings to him about how to handle it, but Stede doesn't listen because he thinks he knows better. (1x05)
It's a fickle crowd, mate - Stede's new friends aren't his new friends at all, just as Jeff the Accountant's weren't his (1x05)
Wee John turning up in a spectacularly dramatic costume (1x06)
Ed as the Human Shield (1x09)
"You've heard of me?" (1x03)
Stede's "Oh God" crisis on the couch after killing someone (1x01)
The Pyramid Scheme reloaded :D (1x05)
Someone who has known Ed/Stede a long time making cutting observations about their life/choices/worth and/or the inevitable doom of their relationship (1x01, 1x09, 2x04)
Ed's "my life is here now" and dropping the leathers overboard (1x01)
Stede being so desperate for approval and validation after an argument with his significant other that he sits down with a bunch of people who will say nice and affirming things to him, even though he knows they don't even know him (1x10)
Stede doing/saying dangerous/violent things while drunk after being lauded by his peers and plied with drinks (1x10)
Stede trying to reuse his amateur tricks in a fight with a much more skilled opponent (1x06)
"your boyfriend" (1x10)
Stede getting his ass handed to him in Jackie's by a woman with a sharp blade all over again (1x03)
Callbacks to Izzy and Stede's encounter at Jackie's (1x03)
Ed choosing to leave his entire life behind to pursue a career that he has the bare minimum of knowledge or experience about (Stede's entire S1 arc)
This is all from one viewing. I'm sure I'll find more on a second watch.

matthew's letter to james
hi, i was bored and decided to transcribe the additional letter from matthew to james from the waterstone edition of chain of thorns!
thanks to the peeps out there posting pictures of it, you're the true heroes!
Dear James,
When we talked about my trip, and the places I wished to see, you may recall that--while I wished to be beholden to no agenda or itinerary--I did say there were three cities in Europe I would die rather than miss: Vienna. Berlin. And of course, Venice. Your eyes lit up when I mentioned the latter, and I promised to send you word of the City of Masks when I arrived.
Well, I have been here for three days and I wish to share with you my impressions of the city. As one wanders, one discovers quickly that there are two modes of line in Venice: wet and quiet, or wet and loud. I have, as you would imagine, kept myself to its loudest parts.
It is a city beloved of mermaids, obviously, and in general Downworld is dominated by the fishier side of Faerie. You may ask, do I mean the aquatic parts, or do I mean the dodgy parts? And to that I say, sir, I mean both. Never have I seen so many mermaids, and never have I seen more complex scheming. Within moments of arriving at one of their fames half-sunk tavernas, I was drawn into three assassination plots, two blackmails, and a plot to steal a large sapphire owned by someone named "Il Granchio," who turned out to not just be named after but to actually be himself a giant talking crab. What marvels I have missed by remaining in sodden old London. I have never been threatened with having my head pinched off before, and I daresay it has fortified my character.
As with every other city I visit, I have had to spend half my time dodging local Shadowhunters. The local Institute is always very welcoming, and by "welcoming" I mean they wish to put me on patrol. But this is not my travel year and I am not visiting the world's most interesting places in order to patrol them, or to fight their demons at all, really.
(Obviously if a demon crosses my path, I will dispatch it posthaste. I am still a Nephilim born and bred, and thus feel a certain amount of demon-focused violence is good for the blood. Nevertheless, I have found that one does not need to wander the streets of a city to encounter its dangers. Instead I have followed the strategy of going directly to a city's most unsavory places, where trouble will regularly appear without much fuss on my part.)
The only thing worse than Shadowhunters who want to hunt demons with me, are Shadowhunters who want to Put a Word in My Ear because I have "access" to the Consul. As though when I speak to my mother she wishes me to convey the minor grievances of a bureaucrat from Turin. No, she wants to know if I am eating enough (I am) and whether I am wearing the scarf she knitted for me (I am not). If the Continental Shadowhunters wish to politic they will have to wait for Charles to come through. That's their punishment for taking life too seriously.
On a slightly more sober note--as it were--it is difficult to debauch through the world without the social lubrication of drink. I suppose I knew that before I set out, but the reality can be hard to bear. Everywhere I go I am plied with drink, which I must decline, explaining that I have come not for the alcohol but only for the gambling and the perversion. Even on the rare occasion when I have been unable to avoid visiting an Institute they inevitably drag out the dustiest bottle in their cellar and I must rush to stop them before they open it for a guest who cannot appreciate it.
The problem is that nobody seems to understand why one might not wish to drink. It is very frustrating. Everyone recognizes that one can drink to excess and need to stop for the sake of one's health, but to encounter such a person in reality bewilders them. And I can hardly order water in the sorts of places I am visiting. As a result, I have become a great consumer of black coffee, which I down by the ucketful so as to be seen imbibing something. Unfortunately, this means I now require several large cups of the stuff a day just to keep myself upright. I suppose a dependency on coffee is much less debilitating than a dependency on drink. At the very least it is less dangerous to one's health, by which I mean I have never yet drunk a pot of coffee and awoken on the cold stone steps of a baptistry wrapped in the Union Jack, which I cannot say is true of my time as a drinker of liquor. It nevertheless makes me a bit of a figure of scrutiny, the Englishman who turns down drink. I have begun to tell the especially insistent that I am under a faerie curse and if ever liquor should touch my mouth I shall transform into a badger. I tell you, I look forward to later in the year when I shall be in countries where the mundanes' religion prohibits alcohol. Although I imagine the coffee consumption will only rise.
But I was speaking of Venice, somewhere on an earlier page. You shall have to tell Pickles at the Devil that here there is no need to bring a tub with you to soak in, for the Downworld bars are mostly half-sunk into the lagoon and one sits with one's lower half in water and one's upper half at a table. This is an excellent arrangement for the mermaids and a terrible arrangement for anyone else. The werewolves go around looking like drowned rats half the time.
In addition to the continued popularity of drink and debauch, Venice is also mad for seances. (In this it resembles most other places I have visitied; the whole continent seems mad for ghosts these days. What a career Jesse could have had had he remained disembodied.) I ran into Madame Dorothea yesterday while in a dimly-lit lounge of poor reputation playing Trappola. (Because what goes better with card-playing than dire warning and demands from one's dead family members?) This is not the first time I have seen her on my travels--like me, she appears to be touring. I encountered her first in a brown café in Rotterdam and then again at a floating cabaret on the Rhine a few weeks ago. Both times I could barely see her through the tobacco smoke, but I did get to witness her admonishing a vampire that his late mother was very disappointed in him because she had expected him to become a lawyer.
By this our fourth encounter, Dorothea and I nodded knowingly to each other as fellow-travelers, and she asked me directly if there was anyone I wished to speak to. I demurred, but she was insistent, and having singled me out the crowd demanded I follow through. I searched my mind for anyone whose messages would not be potentially harmful to my good mood, and finally asked her if I could speak with Oscar Wilde. (The man, not the dog, of course; Oscar Wilde the dog awaited me loyally at the pensione as usual.)
At this point I had no doubt about the genuine power possessed by Dorothea, and so when a gruff but cultured voice emanated from that lady's mouth I knew at one it was him. Of course I immediately went off my head and said the only thing I could think of, which, foolishly, was that I thought he would sound more Irish.
Rather dryly he informed me that he had deliberately put aside his accent while at Oxford, and that he hoped I had not called him back from sailing beyond the sunset in order to complain about his diction. (He got quite enough of that from the ghost of his sister, apparently.) I told him no, but that I wished him to know that his House of Pomegranates had been a formative text for me in my youth. Which was a terrible understatement of the importance of his writing to me, but I could think of nothing else. I felt a fool the moment I said it.
Rather acidly he told me that he no longer concerned himself much with notices or reviews, being dead. At this point Dorothea's body-language showed that the spirit was becoming restless, and the crowd was on his side. More politely than I deserved, he suggested that I might wish to ask him for some advice, or at least wisdom, that he might provide from his side of the veil.
Struck, I blurted out, "In the past I have made so many errors, have caused so much hurt. Can I make up for them? Will I carry them with me forever, or can they ever be left behind in the past?"
At this the crowd became hushed. This was not what they had come to see, but at least it was more interesting than my telling a specter ripped from beyond the void that I liked his work.
Oscar gazed at me--I had no doubt it was him, behind Dorothea's eyes, and I will not soon forget the frisson I felt as he sized me up. Finally, he spoke, and his voice was gentle.
"I see from your cravat," he said, "that you are a man of the world."
I allowed that his observation was accurate.
"And I see from your eyes," he went on, "that you mean to live a grand life. That you have already begun to do so, in fact."
"I do," I told him. "I have."
"To live magnificently," Oscar said, as though carefully choosing his words, "means that your joys will be magnificent, but so too will be your pains. You will celebrate grandly and you will suffer grandly. Such is the covenant of such a life."
"Is it worth it?" said I.
He appeared to shrug. "You can see how it has turned out for me," he said. "Nevertheless, I would not exchange my fate for another. Epictetus said that a man is not made by his circumstances; rather, his circumstances reveal him to himself. I may be paraphrasing," he added, and I thought I head him mutter something to the effect, "Look at me. Dead and still quoting."
Now he took in his surroundings. "Next time you seek me out," he said, "pray do so in a place less chill and damp. I may not feel it, but I still appreciate a decent ambience."
And then he was gone.
I tell you, James, I had little expectation when I asked Dorothea to call upon him, but I left that chill and damp taverna greatly inspired. I share these words with you because, while you are not one to descend into the damp and chill places of the world for the sake of a party, as I am, your life is also grand, and like me you are destined to love grandly, to suffer grandly, and to celebrate grandly. I want you to know that Oscar Wilde says it is worth the trouble. And that I believe him.
The only real sorrow of my travels, of course, is the pangs I feel in being absent from you. Parabatai separated are always missing a bit of themselves, and I carry that lack with me wherever I go. I continue forth to seek more experiences, but I promise to return to you in time, and, I hope, the wiser for it.
Pray give my love to Cordelia, to Lucie, to Thomas and yes, even to Alastair. I miss you all very much, and hope that you are keeping London well for me while I am away. Be well and the Angel protect you.
Love,
Matthew

Morgan Lore Dump - The Lorroakan Phase -
Tumblr media
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
Trigger warning for domestic abuse, violence and stalking, Lorroakan being a sex pest.
Lorroakan had not stolen the real Lorroakan's identity yet, so at this point Morgan knows him as Alvan.
They were together a total of six months, which was longer than anyone Morgan had been with up until that point, and felt even longer than that due to how he treated her like garbage. Far too young, naive and innocent to the ways of such men, she was flattered by his attention and then his overt performances of remorse that swayed her when he would inevitably push at her boundaries or strike her in an act of violence.
He took advantage of her desires to explore her sexuality, exploiting it for his own needs and not even being a good lover himself.
Browsing the markets together one morning, one of the merchants witnesses an altercation that prompts her to discretely slip a Detect Thought scroll into Morgan’s bag. She learns a few things from using it; that she is capable of casting it without a scroll, and that Lorroakan's mind is a truly vile place, and the sweet words that he plied her with did not match the thoughts in his head he had about her. In fact, the minds of most Baldurian men were disgusting and objectifying.
He doesn't have an ounce of respect for her as a person, only views her as a piece of ass that he can use for his own satisfaction, assumes due to her lack of familiarity with Baldurian culture and the language that she's an idiot, and then even worse things, like contemplating using her in experimental rituals in his desperate bid for immortality.
She breaks up with him, he stalks her for a bit before eventually moving onto his next loser scheme.
Morgan's ability to trust is pretty shaken after this experience, and thus she begins to rely on Detect Thoughts more and more to peek on people's true intentions, as very few citizens had strong mental defenses. She hones this skill so that she can dip in and out of the average person's mind without detection quite easily and find that she’s a natural at mental type magic.
Instead of being more cautious, this spurs her to go a little wild; she takes many different lovers, finds she does especially well at gambling halls with her luck altering abilities, gets a lot of money at once, loses it almost as quickly, gets jailed for little while for cheating with magic, indulges in pretty much every vice she was denied in her childhood and goes a little crazy in her hot girl phase for a few years. She starts “telling fortunes” as a bar trick but it is popular enough that she makes serious coin and considers making this a career change. As it turns out, people will pay a lot of money for them to be told exactly what they want to hear.
Next - A new career!! And meeting Oxus 🐉

JP's move names have been fully translated!
i almost forgot to share here lmao, here's the link!!
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LPyFZ3pSIA-L8eJPXU86W2iUM0unnJCptS8jA-Yc4uY/edit?pli=1#gid=0
it's been a collaborative effort between several JP fans all around the world, im so glad he has such dedicated fans ♡
extra commentary from me:
The mythology references!! and to be so specific to his (supposed) country of origin too, like with zilant, the firebird, or sackman/ bogeyman. Or like, how the Triglav mountain is quite the significant national symbol for Slovenia. That's so specific and you can totally imagine JP himself learning this fact as he prepares his fake ID.
It's interesting that they mixed normal animals that exist in real life with these fantasy ones too. To me, it goes in line with his theme of duality, and also his knowledge about local cultures or history once again. Also, it's the heavy versions of buttons that are mythological creatures (like j.HP being Unicorn), so it maintains a theme that the stronger attacks are also the more mystical animals.
The verbs and other nouns they chose, like Spite, Prank, or Knife are really interesting too. They reflect his underhanded, cruel nature, which obviously fit quite well.
'Knife' in particular, when he deflects Kalima's attack with one from the comics, which he calls "such tricky things"...
'Prayer' gets a shout out for being so unique. I dont think they ever mention him being religious, or imply he is, but I can see him interested by the effects (and effectiveness) of religion upon the masses. And 2HP does look a bit like a praying pose lol
But stuff like his throws all being natural disasters (Tornado, Hurricane, Avalanche) is quite ominous as well!! I like that they recognize just how strong throws are in the game, like a destructive, inescapable force of nature..... :)
I think I mentioned this already, but the fact that his Drive Impact and Reversal are in Spanish for some?! reason!? Sword again, like Knife.. I'm almost imagining he knows how to wield a sword or idk, as a sport, like fencing. The way he holds his cane in his Parries suggest it too a bit.
Then of course, Exile. It could just be that Drive Reversal is 'exiling' the opponent, with the attack, but I'm so hung up on the fact that it's in Spanish. They put so much thought into the rest of his move names, I swear these arent random! But we may never know for sure;;
Final shoutouts to the series of "low/ smart/ quick/ light" blows. I think they're his easily cancelable, chainable normals too, so it makes sense that they share this naming scheme.
I think my favorite has to be 6MK, Guillotinna, which ironically requires minimal translating, as it means 'Guillotine'.
It's obviously fitting for how the axe kick looks ofc, but guillotines also invoke images of beheading kings, revolutions, the Reign of Terror, and public executions as a spectator sport. Clearly there's a lot there that works well for JP.

The Aircraft Carriers Of The UC Civil Defence Service
Hey folks! Felt bad about not releasing any Worldbuilding content recently, wanted to do something nice to get me back into the rhythm of things. Enjoy!

The Warp's Rescuers
For as long as the great Warp between the 12 Worlds has been plied - and that is a longer time than modern history knows - those who have sailed its depthless and endless expenses have faced death, destruction, and simple and utter disappearence as a simple risk of the mariners trade. Even the safety of the Contours is not a complete one, and it can never truly be known just how many ships have gone down with their crews in the ages past.
In the modern day, though, the business of inter-World communication and movement is a much safer one for all involved. Developments in the ships and crews themselves have certainly helped, but the creation of a truly - for the most part - international and wide reaching institution of at-sea search and rescue has saved the lives of thousands of mariners at sea. The United Commonwealth, acting primarily though its Navy and Civil Defence Service, has committed itself to this transnational endeavour with all its usual vigour, and in all its might and wealth hs provided for one capability no other state could dream of; the Rescue Carroer.
What Do You Do With A Fleet Of Spare Ships
The first trans-Warp 'Rescue Carriers' were a relatively recent development, borne out of the helpful confluenbce of two seperate events. Going into the 140s A.S., the Navy had found itself with the unprecedented luxury of having more carrier hulls than it either wanted or needed. Caught in the middle of a mass rearmament initiative on a scale not seen since the Chainbreaker War, and which would similarly find its conclusion in the 1st Great War, the Service had been inclined to retire in large numbers its previous class of 'Fleet' carrier, the Union's, in order to make room on the yards, docks, and crew and squadron rosters for the newer Valorous-class to take over. Many of the newer Union's would remain in naval service as true carriers or converted for work as amphibious vessels, but a sizeable portion of the fleet was "too old to service aircraft that weren't obsolete, too new to scrap without pissing off Parliament, too useful to consider selling to our allies, and present in too large numbers to convert". That would have left the Directorate of the Navy with quite the challenge, if an alternative and interested buyer had not made itself known.
UC-CDS Goes Inter-Global
As part of a more general bonanza towards the expansion of UC foreign policy and influence abroad, a number of schemes had been trickling in that saw the domestically minded Civil Defence Service see its purview expand well beyond Commonwealth soil. The Police Service had been in the business of overseas deployments for a century by then - and in existence for about that much longer than the CDS - but it would pose a massive challenge to the already behemoth institution to grow its reach so far. At home, CDS covered everything from the ambulance service to firefighting, and had indeed already provided assistance in a limited capacity to disaster relief operations beyond Commonwealth border. This new initiative, however, would see a far greater expansion of the CDS's resources and mandate than that, from providing full scale vaccination, medical, and firefighting services to foreign nations which lacked those services, to participating in the training of foreign recruits on UC-pattern exported equipment for their own use. It was quite a tall order, but bar one it would have been manageable.
Treaties
That 'one' was Article XXI of the Conference on Maritime Conduct. A triumph of UC statecraft, among a bevy of other treaties, Article XXI forced an absolute commitment by all signatory states to do all in their power to save a stricken vessel and its crew of any nationality or background in time of need. To meet this commitment, the rest of the government decided to dump the job onto the backs of the CDS, which had a long-running obligation to do the same for vessels nearer to UC waters as a coast guard. This would be different, however, as the treaty and the UC's chosen interpretation of its requirements meant that the CDS would need to provide coverage as much as possible to the waters of foreign states where it had never before operated as well as almost the entirety of the open oceans, and most daunting of all, the the vast and unknowable expanses of the Warp, so large that only the UC Navy itself could come close to being able to claim the ability to project assets and activity across it.
Clearly, CDS would need their help.
Old Ships Learn new Tricks
At sea SAR operations were an intensive, expensive process, and to cover the vast stretches of both the oceans pf the 12 Worlds and the surface of the Warp it was believed that only aircraft would suffice. Able to patrol vast stretches of open waves from high up and move quickly to respond to ships in need, CDS had already retained a sizeable ground-based aviation fleet larger than some state's air forces before its new mission had been shoved onto its lap. While a slight expansion of that terrestrial force could suffice to aid in near-shore overseas missions to provide maritime SAR, in the open ocean and the Warp sea based aviation would be required. Aeroships flying off the decks of CDS cutters were useful, but mostly lacked the range, endurance, or speed needed, though their ability to stay stationary while airborne at low altitudes meant they could be useful. For the issue of long-range patrolling, however, they would have to approach the masters of finding small things in a big sea with aircraft.
Smelling a potential publicity bonanza for the Service, in addition to all the actual strategic benefits behind a partnership when it came to the foreign policy of the UC, the Directorate of the Navy and Directorate-Generale of Defence quickly agreed to the proposal put forwards by the CDS. Two middle-aged Unions were first selected, the former UCS Dynamic and Dauntless who'd already had a fair decade under each of their belts. These would serve as initial training and experimentation ships, meant to allow the CDS to get some experience in the field of non-combat related carrier operations. A suite of demilitarised, and quite obsolete, aircraft was also provided to see which of them would make good patrol birds or which might fill some other useful role, such as aerial tankers or controllers. These initial tests would conclude in 145 A.S., and quite satisfactorily for all involved. It was eventually decided that a total of twenty Unions would be provided, with modification costs to be shouldered by a special Parliamentary allowance, with the ships themselves to be based in adapted civilian ports and serviced in civilian yards to take pressure off the needs of the Fleet. The first ship of this new breed, UCS Umbrage, would conclude these works in early 147, and the last, UCS Marvel, at the turn of the decade.
In addition to the ships themselves, entire new wings of the Civil Defence Academy would be created for the purposes of training the new skills these operations called for, and the Navy itself would have to impart skills and doctrines created over generations and adapted to the CDS's needs to the organisation on a wide scale. From the deadly dance of open-ocean underway refueling to the near-mystical intricacies of Warp navigation, it is a testament to their cooperation and professionalism of both organisations that in the first three years of CDS carrier operations, only fifteen major accidents occured a backdrop of near continuous and frenetic activity, none of them fatal for CDS personnel or those they were rescuing.
Good Service
The fruits of this investment, as great as it was, would quickly make themselves known. Four ships operating on the Warp's 'Layer 5' in 148 A.S., the industry preferred and officially mandated Layer for merchant commerce, would conduct an average of sixteen major missions every month each. Ranging from collisions to the wrath of an errent Warp Storm, such incidents in the past had proven easily fatal, but thanks to the timely arrival of rescue professionals guided by the flying eyes of the CDS's new carrier pilots these sailors more often than not made it out alive. Over a hundred sailors would be rescued directly by aircraft and aeroships flying from the three carriers' decks by years end, and the over two thousand saved across the Warp by the CDS and third-party ships providing assistance owed much of their survival to the crucial air provided by CDS patrol aircraft even if the carriers were not directly taking part.
Diplomatically, the knowledge that thousands of families across the 12 Worlds owed their loved-ones lives to the efforts of the United Commonwealth was quite the boon, and more broadly symbolised the UC's commitment to 'good-faith acting on the international stage' in a manner no other polity could match. The public credibility of the UC more broadly in the period was mostly on the uptick across the decade, with the exception of a few crises, and such visible policies as this were key in maintaining that credibility on the world stage.
In conclusion, it was with good reason that Foreign Commissioner Konrad Krantz, the United Commonwealth's senior diplomat across almost forty years, the architect of almost the entirety of the UC's modern insitution of statecraft, and the victor of three Great Wars, would refer to this particular piece of almost spontaneous policy as "one of the best things the Commonwealth had ever done for itself, and the rest of the 12 Worlds too I'd imagine."

Resilience and growth of Indian economy
Welcome to my blog! As an observer and participant in the Indian economy, I have witnessed firsthand the remarkable resilience and growth it has demonstrated over the years. In this blog, I would like to share my personal insights and experiences, shedding light on the factors that have contributed to India's economic development and its potential for future growth.
1. Steadfast Recovery from the COVID-19 Pandemic:
The COVID-19 pandemic sent shockwaves throughout the global economy, and India was no exception. However, the Indian economy has exhibited resilience and shown signs of a robust recovery. After a significant contraction in the first quarter of 2020, the economy rebounded strongly, recording positive growth rates in subsequent quarters.
2. Impressive GDP Growth:
India’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate has witnessed a notable rebound. In the fiscal year 2021-2022, India’s GDP expanded by 9.5 percent, showcasing a strong recovery and outperforming most other major economies. This rebound can be attributed to a combination of factors, including government stimulus measures, a revival in consumer demand, and increased industrial production.
3. Focus on Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India):
The government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, aimed at making India self-reliant and reducing dependency on imports, has played a significant role in shaping the recent performance of the Indian economy. Through policies such as the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, the government has incentivized domestic manufacturing, attracting investments and promoting job creation across various sectors.
 4.Challenges and the Way Forward:
While the Indian economy has demonstrated resilience and rebounded from the impact of the pandemic, certain challenges persist. These include addressing unemployment, strengthening the banking sector, addressing inequalities, and investing in infrastructure development. Continued focus on reforms, investments in education and skill development, and fostering innovation will be crucial in sustaining and accelerating India’s economic growth in the long run.
