mithrun is such a good character, half the fanart for him is gorgeous heartbreaking illustrations with lots of symbolism and religious iconography

I think mithrun is a fun character but the percentage of mithrun fans kinda ruin him for me LOL like he literally fucked himself cause just the mere THOUGHT of the girl he liked liking his brother instead (who he was embarrassed of for always being sick) like out of all the lords he lost everything over nothing LMAO and for others to see that background and to summarize his entire character just into Pretty Sad Boy (he’s a grown man with dick and balls!!) when his ego was literally his undoing and got what was coming to him. To me he’s the subversion of the tough brooding cool guy but to actually just be pretty lame regular dude just makes him so effortlessly funny to me. Also for mithrun to not respect his brother because of his physical illnesses and to then have himself become physically and mentally damaged because of the demon and needing others to help him just to function similarly to his brother and then have him newfounded respect and to reconcile with his brother is really interesting! Like I don’t hate him but ppl see him as a teenage girl instead of one of Fantasy Military industrial complex commanders literally doing Foreign Policy Elves shit is CRAZY 😭😭 GIRL THATS VETERAN PEEPAW
