Don't know what some of these terms mean (e.g. ouman)? I compiled them (and their sources) on my site [ A List Of Gender Terms ].

The fluid, fluix, and flux terms are based off genderfluid man/boy, genderfluix man/boy, genderflux man/boy, and the matching woman/girl versions. For my nonbinary terms/flags though, I'm defining them more broadly, so any combination of outherine + fluid/fluix/flux works.

Butch, futch, and femme is the same. Anyone who's butch/futch/femme and outherine, whatever that combination means to them, can use these flags :)

Also, I didn't list every possible name for the fluid, fluix, flux, butch, futch, and femme terms. You can use alt terms/names, as long as they have the same meaning.

All these flags use the colours from the outherine flag.

For oumel and ouman, I just went with a format that felt right / looked nice. Having the stripes be horizontal looked too much like orientation flags to me, so I used vertical stripes (pride flags don't often use vertical stripes, so I think this helps make it more unique). And the second one, I felt darker and maybe just a bit of desaturated colours would fit. I still wanted them to be colourful though, since I think the opposite gives the impression of depression, which is not just what adulthood is.

Oune follows this girl flag (which has also been used for other diminutive flags, like boy and xip). I don't know how to make symbols for it though, so I left them blank. Having symbols would help them look more unique, so if anyone wants to make symbol versions, they're welcome to.

The fluid, fluix, and flux flags follow my formats, which are based on genderfluid man/boy, genderflux man/boy, and the matching woman/girl flags.

Finally, the butch, futch, and femme flags follows these femme/futch/butch man flags, that's where the bottom 3 stripes come from.

Cutting to the "shopping list" section:

We focused on using “off the shelf” components and open-source software to develop the wireless endoscope. This significantly lowered the cost with the goal to make the device accessible for resource-constrained environments. While the technology described is applicable to a variety of rigid lens applications, we attempted to replicate the 4 mm cystoscope lens and separately a clip-on universal endoscope camera.

2.1 Hardware systems

A miniature single-board computer (SBC) module the Raspberry Pi Zero W (Raspberry Pi Foundation, Caldecote, UK) was used because of its size, its low cost (US$10) and its ability to handle high-definition (720p) video.

A 3.7-mm tube camera (model: 1001LG, Shenzhen Eastern International Corporation Limited, Shenzhen, China) was used. It delivers 1280 × 720 high-definition video using a 1/7″ colour CMOS sensor. Lens construction allows a wide (115 degree) field of view and an extended depth of field allowing object in the range of 5 to 50 mm to be in focus. Connectivity is via a USB 2.0 interface with the SBC. The camera is certified IP67 waterproof and the manufacturer is ISO 13485:2016 certified for the design and manufacturer of medical endoscope cameras.

Illumination is via 6 high luminous 0603 white colour LEDs incorporated into the tube camera. The system was powered by a 1200mAh lithium polymer battery and incorporated into a fireproof acrylonitrile butadiene styrene enclosure.

For the clip-on wireless camera module, an 18–35 mm optical zoom coupler (Ouman Medical, Jiangsu Ouman Electronic Equipment Co., ltd, Jiangsu, China) and an 8-megapixel camera module (model: IMX219, Arducam) were used.

2.2 Software systems

Open-source Linux software was used on the SBC as follows:

1. The SBC runs on the Raspbian Pi operating system Lite, a minimal image of Debian Buster [9]. 2. The SBC Wi-Fi module is placed in monitor mode (“hotspot”) using RaspAP [10]. This makes wireless video transmission possible. 3. The video signal is streamed via the UV4L module of “Video 4 Linux 2��� [11].

4. Lastly, the wireless video signal is viewed on a standard computer via any internet browser. Figure 2 illustrates the entire software setup.

I've noticed that in a lot of cases where there needs to be a nonbinary equivalent to something, neutral is used to represent that. Transmasc, transfem, transneu, or min-, fin-, nin- (neutral) for example.

Neutral doesn't exactly include androgynous, agender, and of course maverique people (plus more). Though the first 2 usually get their own equivalents, like transandrogynous, lin-, lia-, and agin-, agia-, etc. Also I think there are quite a few androgynous/genderless specific terms. Occasionally I will also see aporine, outherine, or xenine, but rarely ever maverinity/maverique.

I suppose more aporine, outherine, xenine, maverique, etc. terms could be coined, but I also think it would be nice to have a overarching nonbinary equivalent for these kind of terms. One that would include androgynous, genderless, neutral, aporine, outherine, maverique, xenine, partially masc/fem, and lots more (as broad as the nonbinary label basically), all in one that isn't the word neutral.

(also I just realized I don't know what the maverique equivalent of these words are. maverine maybe?? just came up with it on the spot)

It can't just be nin, because that's already taken. Perhaps nonbin? I'm not good at language. But the more I see these terms the more I wish there was just a broad label to begin with, then even if the specific labels haven't been made, they'd still be included. The closest thing now in some cases is just the general, unspecified, -gender label.

Is this thought just entirely unnecessary? I haven't seen other people take issue with it.

i don't think it's an unnecessary thought at all. in fact i very much agree. though i've kind of abandoned the quest for general non-binary terms because i want to be visible as my specific gender, but i do think about it a lot.

to be honest, i don't even know that many androgynous or genderless terms either. for genderless, i know "agenrine" and "AGIN" and that's it. all the terms i know for androgynous sound like m/f bigender terms, like "boygirl". of course they can be used for whatever.

"maverine" was indeed suggested as an equivalent for masculine and feminine, along with others which i didn't really like. i guess maverine in nature could be MVIN and the -iaspec (what does that stand for anyway?) could be mviaspec. though honestly i don't personally use -ingender or -iagender terms, so i don't know.

a term that i coined for everything that is not masculine or feminine is "extrine", which could be considered "the non-binary version" of masculine and feminine. in the case of transextrine though, it does kind of sound similar to transsex(ual), which may cause confusion.

i also absolutely could have sworn that i've seen the terms "nonbinarine" and "NONBIN" around but i couldn't find any coining post anywhere.

as for equivalents of man, woman, etc., i wish there was some kind of database collecting all these. if anyone knows if a collection of those can be found somewhere, i need to know. there's obviously going to be overlap between some terms that describe for example outherine and maverine genders, as maverinity is outherine, but there's also going to be overlap between people who will use both the masculine and feminine terms, or whatever.

here are some terms i found or have people seen before:

androgynous: daen (equivalent to man/woman), dae (equivalent to boy/girl)

non-binary: enman or enban (equivalent to man/woman), xent (equivalent to boy/girl), enby (any age)

xenogender: xenan (equivalent to man/woman), xip (equivalent to boy/girl)

i've also seen someone use "ouman", but i'm not sure if it's an outherine equivalent to man/woman or a general non-binary one.

For the names, I listed some related words for each of them, but you replace them with other terms as long as they refer to the same gender / mean about the same thing (e.g. xipthing could also be called xenything). I also think the sex labels could be used too, because surely boything could also be called malething, if someone prefers (just like how that can be done for other terms primarily called boy), so for example, maveriquething could also be called mavmelthing.

Some of these have already been made, but I wanted to make them in my style, as alt flags.

The nonbinarything flag was made by me, but I wanted to make an alt one with simpler colours / using the nonbinary flag. I guess the idea of just referencing the nonbinary flag, instead of trying to come up with colours to represent nonbinary, just passed my mind. I think they're both cool, just different. Use whichever one you want.

Oh, and menoverique might seen random, but it's based off of this menaveriquething flag I made a while back. There didn't exist a male version when I made it. But there exists one now, and looking back on the thing gender flags I've made, I wanted to make that one.

I followed the same format I used for my (alt) boything, girlthing, and enbything flags, which themselves are based off of various thing gender flags I've seen.

The colours are just from their general flags (so nonbinary, androgyne, agender, etc. flags).

Specifically, I want to mention that I used my alt midbinary, abinary, and atrinary flags (not the more common ones), used the off white colour from atrinary for atrinarything's center stripe, made the androgynething flag vertical to match how the original androgyne flag uses vertical stripes, used colours from the aporine flag instead of aporagender for aporagenderthing, because I think those colours just work better, and used a darker center colour for kenochoricthing to match the overall darker colour palette of kenochoric.

And I think the center three colours/stripes are fitting for representing the -thing part of the terms.
