Cowboys coaches put hate behind them with big wins
Cowboys coaches put hate behind them with big wins
I remember the days earlier this season when many fans (including me) stated how the Dallas Cowboys coaches are not up to par with the job. While much gossip about Head Coach Mike McCarthy and Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore surrounded the fan base early in the year, a lot of the doubt and rage has died down since recent success. With huge wins over the Indianapolis Colts and Minnesota…

It's been announced that Matt Milano, one of the best Defensive players and All-Pro player for the Buffalo Bills, fractured his leg in the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars yesterday. There's also talk that he might have torn his ACL which no one has confirmed but Sean McDermott has said the words 'It doesn't look good' and I just gotta ask...
WHY DO THE GODS HATE BUFFALO? WERE THE FOUR BACK-TO-BACK SUPERBOWL LOSSES NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU? OR EVEN LAST YEAR, THE SEASON FROM HELL? IS THIS DELAYED KARMA FOR OJ SIMPSON BEING A FORMER BILLS PLAYER? OR EVEN OUR FORMER COACH MARV LEVEY BEING PICKED TO COACH UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA-BERKELEY FOOTBALL BY OPPENHEIMER HIMSELF? OR IS IT BECAUSE MY GREAT-GRANDFATHER WAS A FAILED BOOTLEGGER FROM BUFFALO?
(I honestly don't know how those things would impact Buffalo's karma but it's honestly the only negative things Buffalo has produced that could have turned the scales of the universe against the City of Good Neighbors)
Just to recap everything the Bills had to go through last season:
-The Tops grocery store shooting
-Dawson's Knox' brother died from a fight with cancer
-Losing to Miami and having players collapse from the heat (not the biggest obstacle but it's the Dolphins so losing to them will always sting)
-Losing Micah Hyde in week 2 due to a neck injury
-Losing Von Miller on Thanksgiving (the same game we got Tre White back from his ACL tear last Thanksgiving)
-Having to play three road games in 12 days because of the snowstorm the week before Thanksgiving
-Damar Hamlin collapsing
-Having the number one seed stolen from us because Gods forbid the Chiefs be less than first
-and finally, that shit show of a Divisional Round game where our Quarterback ran in our only touchdown which started the whole offseason 'Stefon Diggs wants to leave' mess!
...and yet I watch football every year and wonder why my doctor thinks I seem stressed.
#american football#Ginny rants about football#buffalo bills#bad enough we had to lose White but Milano as well#At least we'll get Groot back soon he just had a hand injury#And no one injured Von Miller#But we play the Giants next week and Gabols our former Offensive Coordinator#And they're hungry for a win after losing to the Dolphins#At least it's a home game for Buffalo and the crowd won't care it's a SNF game

I wish I had more profound knowledge about (American) football, so I could make a Dreamies as football players post 🥲
#yes. jisung would be one of the girls feeding the players Gatorade#and Renjun might be an angry offense coordinator#I could see tight end jeno#or wide receiver#and then jaemin running back?#would mark be the quarter back?#not sure#maybe chenle actually#he could also be a very cocky wide receiver though#see. that’s where I wish I had more knowledge lmao#my defensive line knowledge is non existent lmao

#hmmmm. the game night was very underwhelming. I committed to playing Catan and then other people showed up and played smash bros#and ngl I kinda wanted to just throw in my cards and play smash bros instead#got called 'he' IMMEDIATELY by some dude so that was hmm and then someone noticed and was like 'let's all say our pronouns#and several dudes were visibly uncomfortable about saying pronouns and made jokes about it and were deliberately obtuse#so honestly pretty meh vibes overall. I really don't want to make a neckbeard gamer bro stereotype but ummmm. sorry those were the vibes#anyway not for me I think#also there was zero chaos energy at all. I need manic energy to feed off of#I did my best to sow a bit of chaotic fun and no one played off it either.#honestly just very boring. I lowkey shoulda stayed home#I learned what app people use to coordinate groups though. so I guess I'll look at that now. maybe find some other groups#the city I live is really is kind of a dead end though. so not a lot of opportunity. I'll keep hunting though#I just want to find wildly adhd people is that too much to ask. I need chaos and jokes and laughter and objects thrown through the air#I cannot take boring small town talk around a small table.#and like. I've met neckbeard gamer bros who I loved and got along with super well. they were mad adhd. but like. ugh. I can't stand boring#I can't stand calm. I need them to be hopped up on neurodivergence#I wish it were socially acceptable to get up and go 'sorry you're all very nice but you're very boring I'm going home now'#like. no offense but I hate it here bye#tag talk

A pet peeve of mine that none of my friends understand is then they do this sort of thing in comic books. I’m not talking about Atlantis or Themyscira, which are mystically hidden islands in-universe. I’m not even talking about Wakanda, which is debatably a borderline case, being right in the middle of Africa, but is still hidden-ish.
But when the writer wants the Justice League to go to the Middle East but doesn’t want to commit to any real-world country so they go to “Bialya” I’m like??? Where the hell is Bialya? Point to it on a map! What real-world country has to be smaller to make room for it? What is it’s socio-political impact on the world, on history?
I know this probably seems a weird place to draw the line on my willing suspension of disbelief, but I stand by it.
we should set more tv shows in fake US states the way we make up fake european countries for disney channel originals and hallmark movies
#oh we don't want to offend any real-world nation#Then don't make their portrayal offensive genius!#plus none of the writers coordinate so there's like 5 fictitious middle eastern countries#I'm fine with the made up cities though#Though maybe I shouldnt be when they're as major as Metropolis or Gotham#I guess I'm just aware that there are a million cities I've never heard of

The media giants won’t tell us this, but there are protests happening all over the US. With the coordinated BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) movement, large corporations like Sbux and Wackdonalds are feeling the hurt - collective action Works.
Text for the tweet below the cut, for those comrades who need it.
I found this via Instagram yesterday, Feb 14.
A screen grab of an Instagram post, titled: ‘Golden Gate Bridge Briefly Blocked by Activists Calling for Cease Fire in Gaza’
Post credited to kqednews and reads: ‘Activists calling for a ceasefire in Gaza blocked traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge this morning around 7:30 a.m. Traffic was closed for about 20 minutes and reopened by 8 a.m.
Israel is preparing for a military offensive in Rafah, a city and location of a border crossing at the southern end of Gaza where Palestinians are seeking refuge but unable to leave, prompting warnings by President Joe Biden to not proceed without a plan to protect civilians.
In the Bay Area, protestors had previously blocked the Bay Bridge in November to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.’
The image shown is taken from the Golden Gate Bridge, where 4 activists are wearing masks and holding a large banner-sign that says “STOP ARMING ISRAEL”, behind them you can see traffic lined up.
Original post here.
